Well, it's time for me to get a quick bite of dinner somewhere, then head to the theater.  Tonight's opening night

Be back later!

Have a great show!

I just downloaded 10 songs from SMASH on iTunes, then burned them onto a CD.

Several of my favorites are not on the official album, so this way I could pick and choose.
I am curious which ones are your favorites?  There are some very catchy tunes.

The 3 that are not on the album are:

Don't Forget Me
Don't Say Yes Until I Finish Talking
Second Hand White Baby Grand

The Others, which are on the album:

Stand
Brighter Than the Sun
Let Me Be Your Star
The 20th Century Fox Mambo
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Let's Be Bad
History Is Made at Night

It is so nice to have songs where you can understand the lyrics and music that you can hum along with.  I was beginning to think that was a lost art.

From Marc Shaiman's FaceBook page!

This and the final song of the season might be my two favorite songs from "Smash"

I agree.  But, I really like the Zanuck song, too.  It's great fun.

I am working on an project for church.  We have an agreement with one of the grocery chains in NW Ohio that pays us 1/2% on our parishioners' shopping throughout the school year.  People turn in their receipts and I have to total them, deducting tax, alcohol, cigarettes, gift cards, pharmacy, and stamps.  Richard set up a spreadsheet on my computer so I don't have to do the math.

So BK's a gluten glutton. He does like to eat. I went wheat-free for a year or so many years back, but didn't feel a lot better.  That's when I realized that I have trouble with all gluten. I don't think I could go completely gluten-free; instead, I limit how much of it I eat. That works pretty well.

I'm quite fond of Food for Life's rice breads. They're tasty and I don't have any problem with them. I think their Rice Almond is my favorite.

Today is a work day.  Of course.  Oh well.

DR GEORGE every time I see a promo for GREY'S ANATOMY, I can't help thinking - is this show STILL ON?  And every promo has one of the characters being fired or one of the character's life is in jeopardy.  I saw the plane crash promo several times.....and Sandra Oh was making the same acting face she always makes.....and I couldn't help but remember at least SIX promos this season when she made the same face while being told something she had done would result in her being FIRED from the hospital......but still she remains.

Another Sandra Oh non-fan. I feel the same way. To me, watching her is like fingernails on a blackboard. I couldn't get past the first five minutes of the show.

I've been watching ABOVE SUSPICION, a British miniseries, written by Lynda LaPlante (PRIME SUSPECT). It's quite good.

I think i still have the last 3 episodes of Season 2 of Downton Abbey yet. Well i have a 1 hour episode, and a 2 hour episode and a 2 1/2 hour episode. Not really sure if this is 3 episodes or more.

I've been trying to catch up on some season finales. So haven't watched any DA all week.

And my mom and i decided to give Jadie the bumps. She sounded like she was crying the first time. Then said more. And we had to do it another 5 times. She is heavy now (even though she is very thin). My back and neck hurt!

I was surprised how well she could ride the bike right away. She only had a trike before that. But now she can speed away. Which means running.

RE: SMASH i can't remember all the songs just from the titles. But i've really enjoyed most of them. I guess it will be a long wait for Season 2 (not starting in the fall).

Do you mean finding bumps for her to ride over?  But then that shouldn't hurt your back and neck-lol.

I had 3 books from the library, one I returned, one I'm taking a break from, and thank goodness I'm sticking with the 3rd book though with difficulty.  I can't seem to focus.  The 3rd book is Lisa Garnder's THE OTHER DAUGHTER.  Did you read it?

I went to Gelson's and bought a lot of berries and stuff - that you can apparently eat as much as you want of.  Bought some carrots, too, and some shrimp sushi - small, but alleviated the hunger with a minimum of calories.  I also bought some Sweet and Low, for the berries.

We made grilled pizza's for dinner.  I made mine with mult-grain dough, which had a little wheat in it, but a bunch of other grains, so the glycemic index will be lower.  I think that satisfied my pizza craving for a while.

Ah!  Wait!  One more.

THE CHANGELING

Okay, so it's 1980.  But in my own personal lexicon and pantheon, I allow for plus-minus a year so so.
