Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke or Row R, and now it is time for you to post until the Row R cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COGITATION!
-
First post after BK.
-
Sounds like the Ovation Awards producers need to hire BK to direct their show.
-
Congrats, again, on the nominations, though. You both certainly deserved them!
-
Poo. I was rooting for Bruce and Doug. I tried watching the FB Live feed of the Ovations, but must have come in during that woman's interminably long speech, and after 5 minutes had to bail. And I am shocked they did the seating that way. Talk about lack of subtlety. Anyway, being nominated is recognition and A Carol Christmas surely deserved it.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning
-
Are you still under water Elmore?
-
BK my congratulations on your nomination.
-
Vibes for an anti disaster miracle
-
This past hour has been difficult:
the cable TV box would not load in and I had to reboot twice before it did.
I had an issue with my email inbox.
Annabelle is sick and not eating; I hoped, after a day, things would be fine, but this is going on three days now, I'm in cash flow hell until Thursday, and even if I had the money, I don't know if I could carry her carrier and walk. TGhe leg pain is terrible.
-
I have no idea what the current water main break situation may be, but traffic seems to be moving again.
-
Are you still under water Elmore?
I was never under water, thank God, but it was a rotten day.
-
Rob's birthday dinner was supposed to be at Rosa Mexicana at 62nd and Columbus, right in the middle of the mess. When Joshie called me around 5:00, he said they would be closed and the party could move to First Avenue and the East 50s or Union Square, neither an easy location for me with no money for taxis to and from and poor walking. I told him to go ahead and have the celebration without me. At 7:30. I'm ready for bed, not dinner.

I hate my life.

T.O.D.
It's interesting that Robert DeNiro was excluded from the Oscar nominations.
Perhaps the Academy didn't want to have him come on stage, as he did with the Tonys (or was it the Emmys), and say "F**k Trump!"
There is a proper time and place for everything.
-
I hate my life.
Sorry for your pain.
Prayers that things will get better.
As they say: Tomorrow is another day.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Running late.
-
Vibes for Elmore and Annabelle.
-
Kitty cleanup went well, first good thing this morning.
-
BK, I hate awards shows these days; they're nothing but popularity polls. I'm sorry you took home nothing, but I suppose your presence alone lets people know you're still working, doing good work, and available for work. That's not so bad.
-
I am going in to City Center this morning. I am taking a load of pain meds with me. My departure from there on Saturday was so painful I needed a taxi because walking was a torturous ordeal. If I leave at 2:00. I'll take the pain meds an hour before I leave.
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE!
-
Vibes for DR JOHN G and his family.
Now I want to see a TV commercial with JB as the Maytag Man.
-
Writing and rehearsal vibes for MR BK.
-
Thanks to DR LESLIE for the great photos from THE MAN yesterday.
-
Boo to the Ovation Awards.
-
I have pretty much lost interest in AWARDS programs.....maybe it's because I'm old.
-
Page Two.
Sometimes I feel as though I have been seated in the Row R of life.....

Excellent idea. Vibes you don't need them.
-
Bruce I am sorry you didn't win.

Vibes Annabelle eats today.

Good morning, all.

Huge vibes for DR Elmore and Annabelle and all those here who need them.

It would be interesting if that was the reason. I agree awards are not the time and place.
-
Bruce, you wuz robbed.
-
I think I have had enough work for the day.
-
We do not have any snow :)
-
Good afternoon!
-
Sorry you didn't win, Bruce!
-
Vibes for your Dad, George.
-
Tuesday afternoon greetings! We are continuing the undecking of the halls, which seems to take longer and longer each year.
-
I am home! We're almost ready for next week's orchestra reading. Today I proofread the final song "I Promise You A Happy Ending" and the Finale. Tomorrow, the Bows.
-
When I walked into the lobby of my apartment just now, the super handed me a carton from Amazon/ I was puzzled since I had not ordered a thing, but it was a carton of Cadbury Fruit & Nut bars. Since I only mentioned it on this site, I suspect one of you DRs is behind this. I shoulda mentioned I needed a million dollars!
Seriously, whoever may be my anonymous gifter, thank you with all my heart. I gonna have a candy bar!
-
I forgot to mention: the lost cash from the ATM was replaced yesterday.
-
Vibes for your Dad, George.
Thanks, Kevin.

I forgot to mention: the lost cash from the ATM was replaced yesterday.
That's some good news!
-
At 6:38 a.m. (fortunately, it didn't wake me!), I received a text alert from work saying that because of the snow (we got snow this morning!) our building wouldn't open until 11:00 a.m. Cool! I had an extra hour at home to linger.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
I got here at just about 11:00, but as I was driving in, I got another text alert saying that our building will close at 4:00 p.m.! Since the admin has decided that the building is closed those hours, we get to use our Emergency Leave, which has no limit since we employees don't decide when it can be used. If a building is otherwise open but we individually feel that we can't get to work, we can use Inclement Weather Leave. We have a cap of 16 hours per year, and if we don't use it, it doesn't roll over to the next year...which is why it's a good thing when Emergency Leave is allowed. ;D

Nice.
Still no snow here. We had small hail while driving home from the gym.

At short notice how many people used it?

There were a few people who got here before the first text went out...and a few people got here even after the text went out. If you can get to work, you certainly can work. But otherwise, most people got the text and didn't arrive until 11:00 or so.
-
Well, glory be! Annabelle ate her dinner. That is one big relief.

DR George I have an Overdrive question for you. I realize it is a long shot you can give me an answer. It is a new problem I didn't have on my old tablet so I am not sure why it is a problem.
Every time I sign into my Ft Vancouver library account I have to type in my library card number again. Before it saved/remembered the numbers, as done my Ashland Overdrive, & I tap on the correct number.
Do you have any clue how to fix this? With 2 accounts I don't remember the 14 digit numbers.

Yay :)
Am I noticing a 3 day pattern here?

I would think that you can update your login/password within your tablet. I know that I've been able to do that. Each device has its own way to do that, so you just have to look around, but it should be an option somewhere.
-
To get the app to remember by library card number?
-
To get the app to remember by library card number?
Actually, I don't use the app. I go to the OverDrive sites through my Chrome's browser, and that saves my login/password info.
-
Up to now I have loved the app. I will look at that possibility though I expect downloading books is not as organized. I will see. Thanks.
-
And, it used to save the info on the app on my old tablet. It might be a tablet issue.

I don't use apps whenever possible because all those apps just take up too much room on my tablet or phone, so if I can just use the one browser, that's all I need. :)
-
And now, I'm leaving work because the building is being closed...even though the weather right now is cold but otherwise very clear.
Be back later.

Hello, everyone.

Interesting. The apps are soooo convenient. I don't think I have a huge number of them. IMDB has an app but I prefer to open it on my browser.

Consolation vibes to BK and Doug.
-
Expecting it to be colder this afternoon than yesterday I over dressed for our walk. Not too much though. We have a little frozen rain for a few minutes. Otherwise it was sunny out for the most part.
-
Does anyone else feel like they're in a major Mercury retrograde? It's been going on for at least a week for me.
Anti-misery vibes to all!
-
I drove to Staples today for office supplies. They had the three items I wanted in stock, but the prices were outrageous! Paper products have been going up in price for a number of years, but this was ridiculous. I can purchase the same items on Amazon--still not cheap, but less than at Staples. And no one seems to sell small sizes anymore, everything's in bulk. Gawd! You have to form a co-op.

a lot of chain stores now have store websites to see if items are in stock & what the price is. It helps avoid unnecessary trips.
-
DR Jeanne I hope things start improving for you.
-
Good evening, all.
-
I came home and started watching Get Out Your Handkerchiefs, which I have never seen but I had always heard it was one of the funniest movies ever made. I saw the first half hour and I don't care much for it. It's also strange to see a very skinny Gerard Depardieu.
-
So, I took it out and I've started watching The Cotton Club Encore.
-
I forgot Gwen Verdon was in this one.
-
Elmore, that was a very sweet gift -- on more than one level.

We are going to watch Jojo Rabbit tonight. I hope it is "interesting" in a good way.
-
My mistake, we don't have Jojo Rabbit.
-
Charles "Honi" Coles, Sandman Sims, Henry LeTang and some of the greatest hoofers ever just joined the Hines Brothers for some major tap magic. Now, if only Coppola had just gotten rid of the script.

Well, tonight's debate was pretty interesting.
-
The candidate started going after each other's plans more than they have in the past, but not horribly, though.

It's going to be an interesting political year. ::)

Seattle’s aken Jennings is the JEOPARDY GOAT!
What does this mean??
Greatest Of All Time.
It has been a prime time series over the past week between Ken Jennings, Brad Ritter, and James Holzhauer (the 3 winningest players of all time) battled it out.
-
Woke up to a lot more snow this morning.
-
It was beautiful to look at.
-
BK, I hope you went up to the people in Row Z and offered your sympathies to them that their nomination was in error.
-
Mayor Pete was great tonight.
-
He is really the best debater of the entire group.
-
Amy Klobuchar was really wearing a lot of makeup tonight.
-
It didn’t help.
-
She just isn’t very friendly.
-
Oh well, only my opinion.
-
Nick and I had a very long night last night.

So, I will say good night.

Good night, Tom.
-
I've been looking for music to be considered for the pre-show and intermission music for Equivocation...because Shakespeare is the main character.
-
We have a production meeting tomorrow night, and I have a couple of ideas, so I need to find stuff.
-
One idea is to use classical music inspired by or orchestral arrangements of operas or symphonies based on Shakespeare's plays.
-
YouTube has a LOT of videos from which I can use the audio portion.
-
The other idea is to use songs from musical versions of Shakespeare's plays.
-
These are what I've collected...so far:
All Shook Up (based on Twelfth Night)
The Boys from Syracuse (The Comedy of Errors)
Kiss Me, Kate (The Taming of the Shrew)
The Lion King (Hamlet)
Oh, Brother! (The Comedy of Errors)
Play On (Twelfth Night)
Return to the Forbidden Planet (The Tempest)
Romeo & Juliet (2003 Original London Cast Recording)
A Rock & Roll Twelfth Night
Shakespeare on Broadway
Shakespeare Revue
Twelfth Night (2009 Shakespeare in the Park)
Two Gentlemen of Verona
West Side Story (Romeo and Juliet)
Your Own Thing (Twelfth Night)
-
That should be enough.
-
...I would hope!!
-
;)
-
If not, I can find a few more things on Amazon.
-
...or other sources.
-
But pug the director can decide which way to go.
-
PAGE SIX SHAKESPEARE ON BROADWAY DANCE!!
-
Well, I need to get to sleep because I need to (hopefully) get to work early...assuming they don't open the building late, in which case, I'll be able to sleep in late, but I won't know that until I wake up early. ::) Anyway, I want to get to work early so that I can leave early to go to the Equivocation production meeting without using any vacation. We'll see if I make it.
Have a good day tomorrow, all!
