Oh, Jose --
Ask BK for the Benjamin Kritzer tour, if you haven't already had it.

And tell him to include my house.

What hotel were you at and where did you eat?  When in West L.A. I want details. :)

Matt H you were lucky to spend so much time with your grandmother.  I enjoyed your story.

Jennifer I used vitamin E oil for awhile.  Maybe a cream would have been a better idea.   My skin looked wonderful and then I developed a reaction to it, that and a few other things.  I use a combination of things, mostly Jafra products.

JRAND... LEND ME A TENOR is a show that is very hard to do... probably more so than NOISES OFF.  I saw the original Broadway production and loved it, but a couple of subsequent productions I attended were so bad I left at intermission.I think had you seen a good production you might not have disliked it.

Oh, and on your LA tour, don't forget the lovely Allison Hayes home located at 1757 N Orange Grove Avenue.  Three blocks north of  W Sunset Blvd...Orange Grove is the next street west after North Ogden (where Lucy lived when she brought her family out to LA) .

And take your camera.  I have never seen this Allison house!!

DRPANNI - as an individual show last night's SFU would probably have been okay....but as a link in a season's chain - it seemed like a stunt to me.  No argument with the writing or acting (I could see Michael C. Hall preparing his Emmy speech) - as a whole....but as a piece of a season, didn't work for me.

Say a prayer for Annette - her health is not so good today.

Like, ya know, when one of the Cartwright boys fell in love and got married....it was a greatly advertised wedding show, but ya knew the gal was gonna be dead by the end of the episode.

Congratulations, Jay!  I am hoping to win the lottery sometime between now and September 12 - and if I do, I am THERE!!!

What happened to the HHW contest to bring one lucky HHW'er to the opening night?  Oh, I guess that was my idea....never mind.

She has a great support group - including her mom Virginia, and her daughter Gina...and her friend for life Shelley Fabares.

Annette rallies, so fingers crossed that she does so again.  I have confidence she can.

I feel so strange today.

Doing things I've no business doing plus being totally out of sorts.

Adjustments toward getting things done are coming along.  I am slow and I hate typing with only one hand.

Thanks for the well wishes and vibes.

You'd think I could use this time for reading or DVD viewing but I haven't the patience.  I find myself sorting through things and cleaning.

It's so unlike me.

One-handed litter-box cleaning is NOT pretty!

I,  too, will be absent tonight from chat.  I have a meeting from 7-9:30 on a new show.  I won't be home before 10:00, alas, and th's 7:00 pm PST.

More on the new show to follow.  I did get a lovely phone call from Tony Walton today to tell me that Jo Sullivan Loesser loved my work on WHERE'S CHARLEY? last Friday night.  It perked up my day, which has been agonizing because yesterday afternoon I pulled my back out of whack moving my tv for the delivery men to cart off tomorrow when the new one arrives.  I cannot bend, I can hardly walk, and I hate it.  Nothing ached until this morning and now it's hell.

Of course you do.  Are you still taking the pain meds too?

Thank goodness I didn't have to clean the litter box one handed.  How on earth did you do that!

Back from our graphic designer, who is now hard at work finishing our poster and flyers.  Stopped and ate at Bob's Big Boy with Tammy and I must say it's not as good as it used to be.  Kind of gross, actually.  Good fries, though.

Now I have to finesse the bit of dialogue I wrote this morning and then wait for rehearsal to start.

DR Elmore, you were E&T, I believe,  when Tomovoz made the request several weeks ago that we not discuss SIX FEET UNDER in detail since Australia doesn't get the newest season until months after we see it. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I'm sure there's no harm done as he can see where you're going with your comments and simply skip over them. I skipped them since I haven't had a chance to see the show yet. The phone rang five minutes before the show began, and I wasn't near the DVR to start it up, so I recorded the midnight (HBO-West) version and have yet to watch it.

Thank you Matt. I am learning to be careful.
Checked on the Six Feet Website last night for a character name and resisited the temptation to follow up any plot line.

What I love about the characters as they are so trapped in their realities - like all of us! They also are not rational in their responses  and do things that are contrary to expected perceived character - once again, like real people do. Rounded  characters indeed - not flat like nearly every character portrayed on TV who  sit well within our comfort zone of predictability.

Single socks - a long time since I saw it but isn't that a "Heartburn" reference? (and one from reality too!)

Guess it will be along wait DR Panni - my betting is about March 2005.

I remember years ago when visiting our State Prison facility's maximum security centre where the murderers were housed, being told that most of the inmates were in fact quite normal people who had gone ouotside the square and done something outside perceived possibilities - murderers were on the whole not "criminals" except for the one act! Irrational behaviour in specific circumstances that triggered off an unlikely response.

Why was I there? A friend was directing their play "Royal Hunt Of The Sun".  I went to a few rehearsals and to the production.

O Joy! O rapture!  Had me some credit to use up at my local DVD place, and I got me my Showgirls box set (not due out for a few weeks, I think).  Showgirls is truly one of the worst movies in the history of the cinema but I want it as a lesson in bad everything.  Also, the box, which is limited, includes your Showgirls shot glasses, Showgirls playing cards, a tutorial on lap dancing, a pin the pasties on the Showgirl game, including the pasties, and ever so much more.
