And the word of the day is: CANOROUS!
Off to work. Oh well.
DR ELMORE your dream is very complicated and demonstrates that sometimes your work is undone by untalented or demanding performers - even though you specifically tailor it to their limited talents.
Ev'ry day a little death...My, you're in a merry mood, Mr. Todd.
Ev'ry day a little death...My, you're in a merry mood, Mr. Todd.
This should push us over!
Good news about Gardenia 8 - and congratulations to MR BK and Company and Staff!
Oh...
When I arrived at my brother's place on Tuesday afternoon, noticed that there was only one dog here, Sugar. Sometimes the other one stays with Alex and her mom. Well, it turned out that they had to put Jax - Jumping Jack Flash - down back in January, just after the New Year. :( But Jax had a good long life - 16 years.
I have friends with a cat in his 20s. Bob is a great animal. He knows he's old and he lords it over the other cats.. If you stop petting him in a place he likes, he knocks your hand with his nose until you resume petting him.Oh...

A woman that I work with didn't come into work yesterday...she had to have her cat put down. :'( But her cat was 20 years old! That was one very old cat!
My apologies for signing off last evening while we were still on Page Five. Things seemed to be cooking along, but everything apparently died after I left. Damn! That certainly sounds egotistical!

I got home last night a little before midnight, but didn't log on. We didn't get out of rehearsal until after 11:00 pm, and then I had to feed my friend's cats. Fortunately, she'll be back Monday, so I won't have to do that after late rehearsals for much longer.
It may turn out to be completely dreadful, but I think I would enjoy seeing the new Off(?)-Broadway show, LUCKY GUY. I think Leslie Jordan is quite delightful and Varla jean Merman is quite a hoot (and not bad looking out of drag).

Don't you open this week?
I'm not signing out when o go away.
No, wait, her computer is still glowing green!

I don't blame you, Jane. I would not sign out when o go away, either

Maybe it's radiation from Japan.
Jeez, the Republican party has me pissed off tonight, trying to sneak in an anti-abortion act as part of their "attempt" not to close the government down this week. As someone who lived through a period of illegal abortion and who knew at least three lovely women who went through the process, one nearly dying in the procedure, I can only hope that these asses who don't believe it's a woman's choice suffer greatly at some point from their decision.
I need to charge the phone.
I spelled charge correctly. Your eyes are playing tricks on you again.;)I need to charge the phone.
Why, did it wet itself?
And where (in the heck) is JMK?
And where (in the heck) is JMK?
Has anyone been in touch will him?
I am busy stripping the last three interior doors of my house.
And where (in the heck) is JMK?
Glad he is only busy. Thanks for responding.

He said he was very busy, but would be back soon.
That yummilicious chili I made early in the week was missibng something and tonight I fixed the problem: grated cheddar.
And where is KevinH?

I said no such thing. I'm a very good cook. I just hate cooking for myself.
I just read that my friend Carin Gilfry, Rodney's daughter, was in a car accident. I've sent Rod an email to learn what's going on. I hope she's okay.
Auditions Sunday for THE MUSIC MAN - I shall be auditioning for Mayor Shinn....a part I have wanted to play since I was 12 years old.

It looks like I'll be furloughed Monday.Just for Monday? I guess I'm asking what this really means. I don't do job speak much any more.

I would pay good money to see that. Or you as Mrs Shinn.
Hope it's not that long this time.It looks like I'll be furloughed Monday.Just for Monday?
I should have said "starting" Monday. The last time it lasted 3 weeks.
I think it was Cillaliz who said the chili wasn't good. Maybe I'm wrong. It's been known to happen.
I wish Bruce would bring a Gardenia-type show to Washington DC---or NYC!

I think he is going to bring, at least, some of the shows to NYC.
All the news I can find on Carin's accident is focused on Daniel Okulitch, the Canadian baritone in the car with her.
It looks like I'll be furloughed Monday.
You and several of my LoC friends.
Back from the LACC meeting - apparently arts departments are now having to justify every single thing in their curriculum and now require said arts departments to have a meeting with an appointed board (which I guess I'm now on) of professionals who listen and give suggestions. As always happens at these sorts of things, two or three people end up doing all the talking (of the professionals) and it's usually all about them rather than the business at hand. I, in fact, did not open my mouth once until the final minute of the meeting.I want to know what you said in the final minute.
Did you have to pepper spray any of them?It looks like I'll be furloughed Monday.
You and several of my LoC friends.
When I walking along The National Mall earlier today, there were a lot - and I mean A LOT - of school groups going in and out of the various Smithsonian museums. Many of them were visiting Washington, DC, for the week, and some of them had adjusted their plans just in case the government does shut down this weekend.

Good Evening!
I had a good time walking around the Tidal Basin and taking pictures of the Cherry Blossoms. Alas, now I'm dealing with some watery eyes, a scratchy throat and a slightly stuffed up nose - Ah, Pollen! -But it was worth it. (Even if the blooms were quite at peak.)

Yep. "Wall Street Jpournal" and "amNew York." Both positive.
OH!
And if you happen to get The Cooking Channel and watch next week's US premiere of "Eat St.", you might notice a familiar looking Filipino in one of the segments.
;D

Carin posted this on her Facebook page:
My little blue car is dead, but it saved our lives. Thank god for seat belts, airbags, and crash testing! Please always wear your seatbelts.
And earlier:
Thank you all for your thoughts and good wishes. Daniel Okulitch and I are finally home after a 16 hour ordeal. We were hit by a 90 year old man who ran a red light. Dan is in a neck brace with a spinal fracture, but doctors say he will be okay. I was lucky enough to walk away with just a broken wrist and a dislocated shoulder. It could have been soooo much worse! So happy we are both alive.

Thank you, DR FJL - we're OK - really. Tomorrow I'm taking off to Akron for the weekend (AAUW Ohio convention) and Richard and Rob are going to Sinclair Community College for Rob's firefighter pinning. I just gave them my camera, so there should be some pictures when I get back on Sunday. My travel plans, involving several other people, were already in place when Rob told us about this event day before yesterday. Fortunately, we already have his June 11 paramedic graduation on the calendars.
That last post of mine was dumb, but it's a post.
I must ketchup on the day.
One of the results of Monday's dinner and learning about the fall of the New York State Theatre Institute is that I started going through the contact sheets for the shows I scored for them and seeing who's on Facebook. I added several new friends today. My beloved Laura Krause, my intern on A TALE OF CINDERELLA, is a stage manager for the Washington Opera in DC, so I hope I see her next time I'm in DC. Child actor Ben Golub, whose parents were wonderful friends, is grown up and living in Fredonia, and Dominic Fallacaro, who was the smallest and most adorable little boy in the ensemble of THE SNOW QUEEN (I think everyone in the production wanted to adopt him and carry him around), is a working musician in Brooklyn. I just ordered his CD. Dominic and I just exchanged emails and we'll hopefully get together soon.
I am so happy for all of them. I'm still waiting to hear from others.

I saw the last revival on an Easter Sunday that was one of the most lavish afternoons of theater I've ever seen. I've never seen ovations stop a show before, but this one did. And I'm glad it's back doing the same magic all over again.Any reviews of "Anything Goes" in yet?
