Exactly when did Las Vegas become a legit travel destination?  Back when I was a travel agent (Chris Columbus couldn't figure out which cruise ship to take, so he took all three), Las Vegas and / or Reno were practically throw away package trips to sell.  They were so cheap, that we didn't make any money off of them.  Now, round trip air and four nights in a lower class hotel is over $600.00.

Have you checked Allegiant Air?  From Medford we can fly each way for $29-$79 depending on the day.

They don't fly into Washington

Unless you want to drive 2 hours to Bellingham.

Friends asked us to meet them in Vegas sometime in April.  As tempting as it is I doubt we will go.

DR TCB did you see this site for deals on hotels in Vegas?

Yes, there are some great bargains in January and February, but because of the play, I can't go until March.

There were 37 pantsless riders in Atlanta, according to the AJC, who dubbed them "the brotherhood of the travelling pantsless".

At the St Vincent DePaul thrift store I came across a load of Arabic pop music CDs and a couple of Bollywood CDs...what great luck! I bought all 38 of them!

I am no set for music for weeks to come.

There goes L.A. in April.

Lets me off the hook, too!

There is a current commercial for Dodge Ram Trucks that is totally annoying.  Of course, since I watch a lot of football I see the commercial about ten times a day.  In this commercial, these two "cowboys are checking out the truck, and the one says, "That is Pretty Fricken Kewl!"

Every time I hear it I want to scream.

Go Cardinals.  I was living in Phoenix when they moved there. I met several of them during my "sitting in and singing with a couple different bands" days.  I remember one of them, I think his name was Tootie Robbins maybe?  Anyway, all he ever talked about was after he retired he was going to go back to St Louis and open a barbeque place.  I wonder if he ever did it

Sorry, Cillaliz. I deleted my post after TCB signed off. I figured he didn't see it and no one else would care.

Every once in a while my DH hollers from the bedroom. That's how I know something good is happening in the game. :)

Cillaliz, when they moved here, my DS (then about 5 years old) and I went to a tv taping of a show with Mike Chamberlin about the Cardinals, and I remember that the players were so very very  kind to my little boy. One of them gave him a pair of gloves that he wore in a game.

One of the things I remember most about the Cardinals that year was how nice they were.  They were really gentlemen and I really enjoyed meeting them and talking to them.  The other thing I remember is that I went to a game that was in the middle of the afternoon in either late August or early September at Sun Devil Stadium before it was remodeled, and it was soo hot they were spraying the crowd with water and people where having to go to first aid cooling stations

TCB - Some nice room deals at Bally's in March if you can go Sun through Thurs.  We loved Bally's, it was so convenient.

TCB, I like to stay at the Gold Coast. It's a mile off the Strip (they have a shuttle that takes you over there) and is more reasonably priced -- at least on weekdays.

So really, why is Imperial Palace so cheap?  I mean, it has a great location, the casino is nice - why under $40 a night even in March?

Back from a lovelier than lovely supper with the Jones's.  I gave Margaret the first 58 pages of the new novel, which she'll read tomorrow.  We had a Thanksgiving dinner tonight - turkey, stuffing, cranberry, and peas, with homemade chocolate cake (very light, sans frosting) for dessert.  They showed me some Brit TV show called Little England (I think) - very amusing.  Here is an actual photograph of The Jones's - muse Margaret is on the left.

Well, maybe someone can explain why Photobucket is not copying the link.  It says it's copying the image code, but when I press Apple V it nothing shows up.  Why?  I've also tried highlighting and doing Apple C and Apple V - still not working.  Why?

Good Evening!

Just watching "Saturday Night Live"... A true mixed-bag of an episode.  Neil Patrick Harris has done a nice job so far as the Host for the evening, but I was hoping for a "Dr. Horrible" sketch.  Ah, well.  -And I just have to say that Taylor Swift... well... She must be one lucky girl with great management and PR.  I just don't get her/it?!?!

OH!  But I did love the one special cameo appearance early on!!!!!

bk - Something happened with one of the last Safari and/or Javascript upgrades, and the auto-copying of the Photobucket links doesn't seem to work anymore.  However, the Apple+C, Apple+V commands should still work.  Just make sure you're not accidentally double-clicking the hyperlink, thus deselecting it.  Once you click in the box (once) it automatically selects the link.  If you click again...

And I believe the name of the program in question is: "Little Britain".  -Which now has a U.S. counterpart "Little Britain: USA" - thankfully, produced by and starring the original U.K. team.

Just tried it again - highlighted the image code link, pushed Apple C, tried to copy here - nada.  I guess I'll have to put these in iPhoto, resize, then put them back on my desktop, but what a pain in the ass.
