In the mail yesterday, I received the OBC recording of Dreamgirls with the unreleased tracks and a second disc with karaoke songs. The whole disc with the three extra tracks is only 53 minutes or so...there's plenty of room on a vinyl album for that. Why couldn't/didn't they include them?

Actually that's not completely true, since I go to the theatre for weekday performances, it just makes the next morning a little more "challenging" You just have to choose what's important, and what's more important than live theatre in New York?!?

I know that Danise had a less than helpful experience with hospice. That's unfortunate because I think hospice is a great idea and when done well it's truly wonderful. I wish her experience had been a good one, but that's water under the bridge (a reference to yesterday).

My father was in hospice when he was dying of lung cancer in 1993 and it was one of the best things that could have happened for him and our family. If/when it comes to that point, I highly recommend hospice care. It helps both the patient and the people around him.

DR MattH, there was an interesting (yet sad to me) blurb in the montreal paper today about VERONICA MARS.

Apparently the CW has a new show in March so VM will not be on then. But even worse, when it comes back in april the episodes will be self-contained. No more serialized storyline going over many episodes.

I'm sure the creators/writers were forced to do this. But it really sucks. To me this is the essence of Veronica Mars. And i really hate that they would be forced to do this.

Although that said i am really looking forward to the january premiere tonight (although who knows when it will be on for me. i'm guessing 11pm or midnight).

There was also an ABC Movie of the Week--HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS--that had a beautiful Christmas waltz that I always wish I had a recording of. I just looked it up on IMDB--the composer was George Aliceson Tipton, who also, it turns out, wrote the theme song for the short-lived Lee Grant sitcom FAY, which is one of my favorites.
