I know it's not "Ask Bruce" today; but I have question:  Why is Bruce Kimmel member #12 on his own damned site.  Seems to me, he should be #1 and, speaking of that, who is #1?

I asked this question some time ago.  I don't remember who number one was but apparently the previous members were  "site testers"

I hope so!  Perhaps when you first come into the City early in the day?

I showed DRMBarnum my surgeon bear!

Will you be working from home that day?  If so I'll give you a call as soon as we get in.

I saw Nancy Kulp on PASSIONS Friday while flipping through the channels.  At least I thought I saw Nancy Kulp.  Turns out it was Leigh Taylor-(not so) Young.

Nancy Kulp can be glimpsed in a crowd of autograph seekers in ANYTHING GOES, fans chasing Donald O'Connor for his signature (he's a big TV star in the movie.)

Will you be working from home that day?  If so I'll give you a call as soon as we get in.

On Tuesday, I'll most likely be on 14th Street at the office.  I'll PM you the number.

I got an email from DRPennyO, who writes:

I'm in Maui putting in a music program for maui Academy of Performing Arts -- they have lots of dance and quite a bit of drama, but NO MUSIC!!! And, so, what the hell, all right, I'll stay in Maui while I'm coming to terms with everything... good days and bad, some grieving, mostly watching the sky and the birds and the sea.  I'd be online more, but no phone and NO hotspots around. So right now I'm paying 6 bucks to sign on at the local Borders bookstore

My friend John and I were shopping at Best Buy a week or so ago. Neither of us went in looking for any particular DVDs, but I was totally surprised when I asked what he was buying, I found it was HAPPY GILMORE.

So, I guess there are folks that like Adam Sandler.

Pogue, Rodzinski's explanation is correct.  When Mr. Mark Bakalor was testing the site, prior to my viewing it, he and his techies were doing lots of beta testing, hence all those pre-me registered users.

I saw How The West Was Won last year when they first showed it in Cinerama for the first time in years.

I do hope everyone will be well-rested and perky tomorrow as I am very much looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone at Barrymore's and then chainee-ing (shuh-NAY-ing) down to Splash! for some DREAMGIRLS fabulocity. I fear that my work day will drag (no pun intended) for all the anticipation.

Sorry I couldn't make it in for John's tonight. I thought it would be best to actually buy some groceries rather than continue eating out for every meal. I was there in spirit, though.

I don't really have any plans for Tuesday night that are important enough to remember.

August Wilson has passed on.

I saw that on the news tonight. Didn't he just announce his illness last month? Very sad...

No, DR ELMORE - he did not eat any photos, but he did not seem to be trainable.  Someone else in the household was not interested in nor had the patience to try.

A bit lonely, DR VIXMOM.  But that's okay.  Better peace in the household than tyranny and tears.

I finished the movie MAKING LOVE this evening, and I enjoyed it for what it is, not a great film, but a great moment in the history of gay-themed cinema.

I remember sitting in the theater watching this with a crowd of friends. Sitting two rows in front of us was (I guess) a straight couple, anyway a man and woman. When the camera pushed in as Harry Hamlin and Michael Ontkean kissed, the woman very quietly turned her head into her fella's shoulder; she couldn't watch it.

I find that interesting because I have several straight female friends who find male-male encounters in the movies very sexy and enjoy watching when it happens (as infrequent as it is in the movies and on TV).

Times change, I guess.

Yes, I saw on the news tonight the sad announcement of August Wilson's passing. Of course, since he had announced his condition as inoperable, it didn't come as a total shock, though the speed was something of a surprise.

Thank you, NFL, for keeping the game within a regular timeslot. I was able to see the entire episode of COLD CASE at its regular time.

And a moving episode it was, too.

The desperate housewives of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES were up to their usual hilarity tonight. I really enjoyed Felicity Huffman's storyline tonight.

And then the gorgeous Josh Duhamel on CROSSING JORDAN made nice eye candy to end the night. This was a crossover episode with LAS VEGAS, so I'll have to either watch or record it tomorrow night.

I had kind of lost interest in lAS VEGAS over the summer and hadn't really planned on tuning it in this season, but I'll see the story to its conclusion tomorrow night. I've always been a big fan of Jill Hennessy ever since her LAW & ORDER four year run, so I'll watch.

Thanks, vixmom, for encouraging me towards Godhood.

I'd been E&T-ing (estate and trust tax returns) again.  Big October 15th deadline coming up, actually even busier than April 15th since there are no more extensions after this, and the high holy days coming up just mean the weekends include a little bit of work.  But I'm determined to get to 500 by the Wed. dinner.  :)

To answer TD's question, I think of Robert Mitchum as a great movie star and actor combo.
