I finished the movie MAKING LOVE this evening, and I enjoyed it for what it is, not a great film, but a great moment in the history of gay-themed cinema.
I remember sitting in the theater watching this with a crowd of friends. Sitting two rows in front of us was (I guess) a straight couple, anyway a man and woman. When the camera pushed in as Harry Hamlin and Michael Ontkean kissed, the woman very quietly turned her head into her fella's shoulder; she couldn't watch it.
I find that interesting because I have several straight female friends who find male-male encounters in the movies very sexy and enjoy watching when it happens (as infrequent as it is in the movies and on TV).
Times change, I guess.
