DR Laura you must have deleted a post, otherwise how could my "Oh boy!" response to you suddenly appear above your post regarding vacation photos?  The first time it was a statement, not a question. ;D

What I'm saying is yes, post the photos ;)

That's quite an outfit. It would really have been something if it had been leopard-spotted.

I think it was enough all by itself. ;D

It was, DR Jane.  It was.  -And I'm really "sorry" that I was not able to sneak a photo of the front of that outfit. ;)

When the Big Book is written I don't know that anything that I've done will mean all that much, but I can tell you that starting this here site and having it be a gathering place for some of the most amazing people anywhere will be at the top of the list.  Even though there are occasional blowups, the support and good will here sometimes takes my breath away.

Aw, shucks. . . .I'm tongue-tied.
I've always felt privileged to be a part of the world of BK, and I am truly grateful for the friendships which have been cultivated here.
Personally, I've learned so much from so many people; not only are the people here my friends, they are my extended family.
Thank you, BRUCE, for sharing your corner of the internet with all of these wonderful people.

AND, of course, the TOD:
DVDs:
Some show with Idina Menzel defying gravity and Kristin Chenoweth teaching the values of being popUlar.
Another one of that same show with Taye Diggs dancing through life.
RENT - the movie.  I always cry at Angel's funeral. . .

CDs:
Rod Stewart -  Some Guys Have All the Luck
Idina Menzel - each of her commercial cds plus two recent concert cds.
Patti LuPone - Live at Les Mouches, legit; Live at Les Mouches, not legit.
Leslie Kritzer - Patti LuPone at Les Mouches
Jackie Hoffman - Live at Joe's Pub

Books:
DEFYING GRAVITY
Terry Pratchett:  MAKING MONEY

Laura wasn't really mean, just kind of stuck up, and completely insecure that her boyfriend was getting a bit too friendly with the farm girl......  Although she had some catty things to say about Annette's wardrobe....and accused her of stealing her bracelet.

She was mean, I say!!  And to Annette!

Just got a call from a theater in Calif. where I donate semi-regularly.  Guess they didn't notice I was on the East Coast and it's kind of late to call for donations.

It is a little creepy, but it's also very cool - or kewl!  ;)

The installation doesn't open to the public until November 19, but it's basically on view right now since it occupies the Atrium of MoMA.  There are continuous videos projected on the three walls, and the artist even designed the seating area and cushions, as well as specified the color for the carpet and the drapes that "cover" the upper levels.  I did watch about ten minutes of the video footage, and I do have to wonder if MoMA will post "contain nudity" "warning".  Although, since the Atrium is basically "nap central" for a lot of MoMA patrons, I'm guessing any sort of warning would go unread and/or "unheeded".

Hmm... They're are doing a news story on the wildfires that are currently affecting Santa Barbara and Montecito, CA.  Since there are a lot of celebrity homes affected by the fires, they have titled the story:

"Star-Studded Wildfires"

???  :-\

I watched THE OFFICE while I ate lunch. Excellent episode with something interesting with Oscar for a change.  Oscar and Andy made a funny duo.

It was nice to see Oscar have a storyline for a change. Although I was confused, I seem to recall that Oscar had a partner.

We found out in Season Two that he had a partner. At some point between then and now (Season Five), Oscar mentioned that he wanted to break up with him anyway, so I think he's been single for awhile.

It took almost no time at all to finish the bonus features on CHUNGKING EXPRESS. The longest of the bonuses was 12 minutes. So, that is one Criterion set that took almost no time to complete.

DR Laura, your trip to Fresno looks like my trip through the Canadian Rockies.  I still swear they were only 200 feet tall...that's all I could see through the fog
