I thought I had seen enough of Hair (three stage productions, plus the film) to last me a lifetime, but I see there's one other production I am very, very, very (that's three verys) sorry I missed!

Well, I've resisted long enough...

If you though John Barrowman was impressive in Hair, you should have seen him in Big!

-That was too, too easy... And remember the rule!

JEOPARDY SPOILER ALERT!

I think that either Mr. Jennings was exhausted or he just gave up. The question that finally stumped him, he could have figured out in his sleep on a good day (or night).

No, DR DTM. They're Pumpkin (Something). I didn't catch the second word. A very nice shade of orangy red. I was the only customer in the joint which is usually busy.

Actually, tonight just seemed like a bad luck of the draw for categories tonight.  For everyone.  There were more than a few times when the questions kept being read, and no one was answering.

I am not hip on the subject of nail polish so I have a question:  do they make scented nail polish?

Is there a "paprika" color?

If they don't, you should invent it. A great idea.

I'm pretty sure I've actually seen it.

I got caught up doing google searches, which are always interesting, and I come back and holy moley on rye if we haven't been having an authentic posting frenzy.  What a lovely way to spend an evening and send out November and welcome December.  Lovely, do you hear me?

Post #1:

This weekend, as I was putting up the Festivus Pole at mom's, I listened to one of the Christmas with the Chipmunks recordings.  I haven't listened to it in years, and I was kind of amazed by the very nifty song arrangements that Capitol afforded on what was pretty much a novelty act.  I meant to check out who worked on it, but I didn't.

End of Post #1.

Maybe it was elmunk3003???

I think so, too.  Your nails could be smelling like pumpkin tonight.  There could be some holiday scents like balsem fir and hollyberry.  Maybe a "Kitchen" line with paprika and garlic (those would be great for restaurant waitresses.)  And the aroma therapy scents could be a whole new product in of themselves.  (Though I'm not sure how the image of women leaning back in their chairs sniffing their fingernails is gonna play.)

Well, since we are so close to making 300, and since I have recently fallen out of the Top Ten of Posters, I will do my best to help out this evening.

DtM - I have a Chipmunk Album - the Chipmonks Sing the Beatles Songbook which I like to listen to - but it's on Liberty.  Did the Chipmonks record for Capitol?

DRPANNI - Paprika was somebody baby's name on MAURY yesterday - but the poor little thing didn't have no dad.

TOMovOZ - I watched CARNIVALE a couple of times and didn't finish it or go back to it.  So if you like it from the start - hang with it, I guess.  It tries very hard to be mysterious and profound - but....well did you ever see LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD?

There's no way I'll ever be able to break the top ten, but I've just noticed that I've nudged my way into the top twenty.

I just got home from rehearsal for my next production.  It is a new play called NATIONAL PASTIME about Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball.  It is a beautifully written play.  I play Branch Rickey, the executive for the Brooklyn Dodgers responsible for bringing Jackie into the Majors.

A racially mixed baby? Daddy was black pepper? (no groaning).

Nope.  You're right--it was the Liberty label.  I had Capitol on my mind.

Actually it was taken off-stage during a performance at the local mall.  I was backstage warming up, and I had no idea he was taking my photo for the newspaper.

I think I shall take a shower.  A nice long hot shower.  The Long Hot Shower - wasn't that a film starring Paul Newman?

I just finished up the box of Swiss champagne truffles -- which was stupid because my stomach ached all day today from yesterday's truffles. But they were SO good it's almost worth another tummy ache!
