No run today?

That's a possibility too... I'm waiting to hear if I'm doing a coaching at 5:00, so...  I just like to allot a good two hours for my run - warm up, run, cool down, stretch/yoga... and then shower.  So...

Of course, if I just log off the computer now...

DR Jose - I'm free for dinner (DH Richard has a meeting).  Shall we meet halfway - say somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania?

Ohhh... Maybe we could meet in Lancaster.  A good, hearty Amish dinner would be a perfect mid-winter meal!

DR Jane - Thanks for the updates on Danise.  And, yes, please tell her to take it easy.  She has to save up her strength for her next trip to NYC!

:)

So true, however she will be using her vacation time to recover from the surgery >:(.  Maybe she can go for a long weekend when Tomovoz visits. :-\

Just spoke to Danise.  She sounds wonderful.  She'llbe going home sometime tomorrow.  We only had a quick chat as she had a visitor arrived just as I called.  She sends her thanks to all for the vibes and promises to "drive everyone crazy" with a  record number of posts when she gets home.

Oh... I keep meaning to "remind" any DRs in the NYC area, and those who are thinking of heading to the NYC area in the next couple of weeks...

It's Season of Savings time again!

Some of the discounts end this weekend, but some go into March.

Yikes, that's 'way more than halfway for me, so I better leave now!  If it's Amish you want, Holmes County, Ohio, is also a possibility.

So, DR Jane, you coming to Pennsylvania for dinner tonight, too?   ;)

Can you tell I get a little goofy after presenting a 3-hour workshop?

Jose, I'm doing laundry after work tonight. I often do it on Friday after work so we have the full weekend to ourselves but I'm seeing Barefoot in the Park tomorrow with my theatre buddies. I'm intrigued only because the show has gotten such mixed to awful reviews. Anthony has dance class tonight.

I'm looking forward to the March line up at Chelsea. The Bad Seed with Hedda and company. Even better, The Women with Hedda and company. Since Thursday night dance classes have resumed Anthon will most likely miss the Chelsea Classics nights unless he can be persuaded to skip a night of dance for a night of fun at the movies.

I tried but I was told it had already gone out for delivery.  Danise said her mom weas home and some neighbor would be checking in with her Mom ( I didn't tell her something was sent, I just asked if Mom was with her or at home...sneaky sneaky ) so if it got left at the door it should get found and brought in. ;)

As for DR Jason...

He's doing well.  Work is busy, but I believe they're almost caught up at the MTI offices after their phone and internet cables got severed two weeks ago.  And his family situation has quieted down too.

Jason is doing all right.  Just taking some "me time" right now.

He'll be back...  We all come back.

:)

Well last time he took some me time he was gone for over a year!

Tell him we all said hi!

DR elmore - Feel free to give me a ring the next time your computer needs a little fine tuning.  I'm not an expert by any means, but I do know how to get rid of most of the detritus (a former word of the day) that can accumulate on a hard drive.

I wish I had someone out in these here parts who could tinker with my hard drive!

Back from class and tape pickup and delivery.  Very tired.  Class was fun again.  Tammy's friend Lauren sang and she's got a terrific voice and takes notes very well.  I've got one gal who's having terrible trouble - on Tuesday she was so nervous she couldn't remember her lyrics.  So, I let her have two days.  Today, she was so nervous she could barely breathe and get through the song, and still forgot a couple of words.  The song is They Were You, from the Fantasticks - a fairly easy and simple song.  Once I explained to her that most of the words in the song are short and didn't have to be held, that helped her.  She did it a second time - less nervous, but then got very emotional in the song, for reasons of her own.  I told her she'd sing again next Tuesday and when she's rehearsing to pick an image of someone she cares about and sing it directly to that mental image, sans the over-emotion - simple and heartfelt.  Another thing I emphasized to several people was that just because they're not singing (when there's a two or four bar piano part before they come in again) does not mean they "drop" character - it's the same as a scene - if you're standing off to the side and waiting for your line to come in while four other people are saying theirs, you don't stand there out of character.  One fellow sang Anthem from Chess - he sang it haltingly and his body language read totally uncomfortable - didn't know where his hands should be, shuffled, etc.  I asked him one simple question: What's the title of the song?  He replied Anthem.  I said, "What's an anthem?"  He looked at me and totally understood my point, and his second go-through had strength and for most of it he was much more comfortable.  That's the fun of this class.

DRGINNY what was the funniest question you were asked today?

DR JRand, when I was working at the desk near where we're distributing tax forms, a guy asked, "Which one is for the state?"

Um, it's the one that says:

OHIO
