Watching the rehearsal vibes for DR GEORGE.
Bruce I was trying to remember what you had said about Jojo Rabbit and couldn't find it by searching. It must be in the notes and if there is a way to search those I am not aware of it.
Yesterday, I chose a DGA screener entitled Jojo Rabbit – I had no idea what it was – in fact, I thought it was probably some stupid animated thing. Well, it’s anything but that. What it is is kind of a very clever satire that takes place in Nazi Germany. It’s fairly audacious – the filming style is kind of that quirky thing that quirky filmmakers like to do – you’ll recognize it right away – but it’s a remarkable film in that it somehow manages the almost impossible feat of negotiating all its tonal shifts. One minute, you’re laughing out loud at the outrageousness of it, and the next you’re getting surprisingly emotional. I watched the first forty-five minutes or so, but then had to be on my way to the theater for some callbacks and new auditions. I was hoping that wouldn’t take too long, but we didn’t finish until around 8:45.
Oh, is anyone else having a problem when doing a search? As of yesterday it is only showing comments from the same day.
If I had rye bread in the freezer I would make peanut butter sandwiches with apricot jam.
We grew up with Skippy
About Adams® Natural Peanut Butter
The Adams® Peanut Butter Company was founded in 1916 by Rex F. Adams, a local Tacoma, Washington football coach. In 1919, the Company added Old Fashioned Peanut Butter to its line of products. Its peanut butter slogan was "The freshest thing in town." Tacoma customers recall being able to purchase the delicacy of Adams® Hot Peanut Butter. The freshly packed hot peanut butter was rushed to the local grocery stores on the very day of special ads.
In 1965, Cecil and Inga Nielsen purchased the company, and it operated under the name Adams Food, Inc. The company began to prosper after eliminating unprofitable items and upgrading the processing machinery. In January 1974, production of Adams products moved to a new plant in the Port of Tacoma area.
In December 1998, The J.M. Smucker Company acquired the Adams Peanut Butter business from Agrilink Foods, Inc.
Folks, shouldn’t we also be debating: SMOOTH OR CHUNKY?
I’m fine with both.
If I had rye bread in the freezer I would make peanut butter sandwiches with apricot jam.
No no no no
Peanut butter sandwiches must be on white bread with grape jelly
One vote for Chunky.

I don't remember what brands my parents bought when I was growing up, but at some point, I discovered Adams, then called "Old Fashioned," now "100% Natural."

I recently tried that. Aside from not being able to stir it, I thought the taste was terrible.
I love the taste of just peanuts and salt. Right now, I do have some Skippy "No-Stir" all-natural peanut butter extra crunchy (I had a coupon) but you still have to stir it a bit. Otherwise, I usually just eat it right out of the jar. Or I'll put it on chocolate bars or something else that goes well with peanut butter. The current jar that I have is only about a third full, so when that has all been consumed by me, I'll get some more Adams. :D

Yes on the eye. Annie LaMott has a great bit in one of her books on how kids know when Dad made their lunch, because he use apricot jelly and how weird kids found that.
One vote for Chunky.
One more vote for chunky.
I eat enough almonds that I don't need almond butter. I am now feeling guilty eating almonds as the almond farms are killing the bees :(
Three!
Creamy, not chunky. Never chunky.
Three!
Four!

Jane, at the bottom of the page of BK's notes is a search box: Search BK's Notes Archive: Just put your search terms in there and it'll search BK's notes, not the board's posts. I searched "Jojo Rabbit" and found this on December 18, 2019:QuoteYesterday, I chose a DGA screener entitled Jojo Rabbit – I had no idea what it was – in fact, I thought it was probably some stupid animated thing. Ben and Jerry’s has a new flavor, Netflix and Chill’d. It’s peanut butter ice cream with pretzels and fudge brownies in it. Me want.
Dear John G.,
If I ever meet you in real life, I'd like you to teach me how to do dance.
TOD Skippy chunky forever and always!
It would be a real exercise in patience for you. Kinda like for my daughter when she makes me watch a Star Wars movie.r

TCB, every year you mention it and every year I want to ask. But I never have because it is none of my business.
And our snow is (hopefully) gone for now.
I think I am starting to get better.
But I think this damn cough is here forever.
Anyone in the cast that I would know?
