Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both pernickety and persnickety and now it is time for you to post until the persnickety cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MALACIA!
-
Hmm... Very interesting word of the day.
And I really can't think of an interesting way to use it right now. -Oh, maybe my mind is going through malacia right now. ???
-
OH! And first post too! It's been a while for that for me. I think.
-
bk - I hope you brought two pairs of comfortable shoes with you. One for everyday walking and one for jogging - or just to alternate with your other pair. The soles of your shoes - and of your feet - will appreciate being given a day off every now and then.
-
I have nothing to say but that it's a good thing I wasn't theere at Skip's show tonight, since I probably would have begged everyone to cab home, and it sounds like everyone had a lovely walk.
-
And good to know you made it over to the Fifth Avenue Apple Store. Just remember, it's open 24 hours.
*And I gave an iPhone a test-drive the other day. What I was most impressed with was the "page-turning/flipping". Who knew your fingers could do so much! ;)
-
This is the sound of my soles (almost a Spandau Ballet reference)
-
And my mosquito bite finally seems to be dissipating. Whew! :) I'm guessing it will be still bug me for a few more days, but I'm already starting not to feel it so much.
-
bk - I keep meaning to ask you - and since it is Ask BK Day - Do you need any "help" procuring tickets for Legally Blonde?
-
I have nothing to say but that it's a good thing I wasn't theere at Skip's show tonight, since I probably would have begged everyone to cab home, and it sounds like everyone had a lovely walk.
Well, you could have still cabbed it home, and they still could have walked. :)
-
-Hmm... Back to the word of the day for a sec... I'm imagining it being pronounced as it would be in Italian. It has a nice ring to it, with an undertone of trouble.
-
OK - I'm babbling which means it's time for me to go to bed...
I hope all the Dear Dogs are doing well now, and make it through to the morning with no troubles too.
Goodnight.
-
Jose - Well, yes, i could have cabbed alone, but that's not any fun, is it? :)
-
If Singapore is any indication, Malacia is a gorgeous country.
;)

DR JMK:
It's Interstate 580 that goes to SF across the Bay Bridge.
It's a good thing you aren't here this weekend. The Bay Bridge is being closed Friday through Monday for work. Local media have been advertising like crazy for a couple of weeks.

I have some so-so news.
It's "so good" and it's "so bad".
The "so good" news is that my packages WERE delivered....at 5:42 p.m. A co-worker who should have been home having her dinner signed for them.
The "so bad" news is that for the first time this week, the UPS guy did not deliver in the morning. Instead, he was WAY late.
And, yes!
[shadow=color,glow width,#characters wide] I STILL BLAME SINGDAW! [/shadow]

I am watching the July 9th episode of "Kyle XY." That is all. :)
-
-Hmm... Back to the word of the day for a sec... I'm imagining it being pronounced as it would be in Italian. It has a nice ring to it, with an undertone of trouble.
In Italian, the pronunciation would be:
Mah-lah-chee'-ah...which has some "bad" overtones.
I suspect that's because:

WARNING - INGESTION MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH!
High Fructose Corn Syrup Used in Soda Linked to Diabetes
(http://www.blogactive.com/uploaded_images/thecop-748285.jpg)
Researchers have found new evidence that soft drinks sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) may contribute to the development of diabetes, particularly in children.
In a laboratory study of commonly consumed carbonated beverages, the scientists found that drinks containing the syrup had high levels of reactive compounds that have been shown by others to have the potential to trigger cell and tissue damage that could cause the disease, which is at epidemic levels.
The findings were reported last week at the 234th national meeting of the American Chemical Society.
HFCS is a sweetener found in many foods and beverages, including non-diet soda, baked goods, and condiments. It is has become the sweetener of choice for many food manufacturers because it is cheaper, sweeter and more easy to blend into beverages than table sugar.

Thank you Tom. Same to you.
Slow news day here (in spite of 49 posts so far)

I'm trying to get things finished before our own version of the Bank Holiday (last week in Great Britain and Ireland, IIRC).
We will be on Long Island for the Labor Day holiday. Ant is already out there and I leave Friday afternoon. We have a party with some (gasp) Lesbian (gasp) friends on Saturday (Yes, JMK, it is because you're a Lesbian) and much relaxing. Playing with MacGregor, eating too much food, going to Trader Joe's, sleeping late, all that and more is on the agenda.
-
I'm listening to Playbill Radio. You Could Drive a Person Crazy.
I like the station because they have a broader playlist than AccuRadio and I have listened for 2-3 hours at a time without a single repeat. Doesn't happen with the Broadway channel at AccuRadio!
-
I would say this even if I didn't know Rodzinski ;)
-
And now I'm here alone but I don't know if I can get us to Page 3 (it's Post 53) before I must go back to work.
-
Where is David (Singdaw)? Where is TCB? Where is Michael Shayne? Where is Larry (Elmore)?
-
And now I'm listening to Dulcinea (Reprise) / The Impossible Dream (Reprise) from MoLM (original Broadway cast w/Joan Diener and Richard Kiley)
-
I must do the laundry tonight because tomorrow I'm going to the theatre.
I'm seeing
Walmartopia (http://www.walmartopia.com/)
a satire that is not endorsed, sponsored or otherwise affiliated with, in any way, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. or any affiliates of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
That last phrase is taken directly from the Web site to prevent any confusion.
-
Richard Kiley as Don Quioxte has just passed away.
-
Well, it looks like I might make it. A frenzy unto itself is still a frenzy (that wouldn't make a good title for a novel).
Andrea McArdle (remeber her ;)) is singing Tomorrow on Playbill Radio
-
I would say this even if I didn't know Rodzinski ;)
Rodzinski the Sports Writer?
-
I never saw her in the show (other than in clips) since I was not living here at the time.
BTW, yesterday (August 28) was the 27th anniversary of the date on which I arrived in New York City. The years have flown by and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
-
Ahh, The Two Toms are here!
-
Tom and Tom. That might be a good title for a novel. Now I just need to come up with a plot.
-
Two children separated at birth, one brought up in the wilds of Australia and the other living in the lap of luxury in Tacoma, WA. Maybe it'll sell.
-

-
I could still play Gene Garrison in I Never Sang for My Father, a play for which I have great fondness.
Even though I was not old enough when I did it, I used the last monologue from that play as an audition piece when I was performing.
-
I'm sure you would still look beautiful in your Paris Original DR Ben.
-

-
DR Tomovoz, was just wondering...
What percentage of your music collection would you say is LP, and how much CD? Have you replaced most of your LPs on CD? And when you make these compilations, do you use both sources?
-
Goodnight Sun-Dried.
-
I imagine most DRs have seen this little item about Leona Helmsley's will (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/29/helmsley.dog.ap/index.html)!
-
I am off to see a show at Goodspeed today and therefore with no computer access after 10 a.m. News at 11.
-
I use both sources and I still have about 1000 45 rpm singles.
I've not really replaced that many LPs. I do have many of the tracks on "best of" CDs but still hold on to the albums just in case!
I suspect the CD number has taken over the LPs. I'd guess 60/40.

I don't think so, but who knows. He's 77, I think, not that that means he can't do it, but maybe he's just content with tinkering endlessly with his past shows.

I sat next to Annie Golden at the revival of KISS ME KATE several years ago. She was SO into the show (I loved it, too). She makes a wonderful audience member with her constant enthusiasm and support of actors on the stage.

Last night I was given a CD of the 1986 Carnegiie Recital Hall concert of the original 1925 NO NO NANETTE score. I had scored for that concert the British addition, "Take A Little One-Step," and the John McGlinn, the conductor for the concert, had promised me a cassette of the number for over 15 years and never delivered, so it's nice to have finally obtained a copy from a more reliable and generous source.

OK. However, it seems that the traditional fall sales slump has already started, so... If you find yourself near the Palace and want to see the show on a weeknight... But I can still put in a request for you, although, they've been asking for a minimum of two weeks lead time for processing.
-
... and I may even get at long last to Val Kilmer IS Moses!
I highly suggest taking in "The Ten Commandments" basically one commandment at a time as it were. I have a feeling you'll be better off "enjoying" it in snippets here and there rather than all at once. Or you could make a drinking game out of it: Every time you hear the word "Moses" and/or see an "Israelite" do a pelvic thrust, you drink a beer or take a shot. God knows, I could have used a drink when I saw it live. ;)

You're worried sick, and I know it for sure! I ALWAYS cussed up a blue streak when my Dickens didn't come home. I "imagined" him being trapped in a garage or something, but I always had the sickest feeling in my stomach for fear I'd never see him again.
And...when he returned home looking as if nothing were out of the ordinary, I'd swoop him into my arms and hug him and kiss him on the head and he'd purr loudly. I know he knew he was missed.

I suspect it's a variation of a "mind-reading" card trick. -I remember learning it in high school in one of my math classes. I also seem to remember some sort of TV variety show where they did the same sort of trick. Regardless of how's it's done, it's still magical.

Well, we're having a little party here this afternoon. My roommate - not that roommate - is leaving in two weeks for a new gig at the just-opened Venetian Resort in Macau. So, she's throwing a going-away party for herself. I'll be here for part of it, but will most likely head out for a bit sometime. It's purposely going to be a long-lasting party since she's invited a bunch of her friends and co-workers who are all in the "biz". So, some people will be stopping by after the matinees, some people will be stopping by after the evening shows, and some people will be stopping by whenever since they're off today too. -She's the wardrobe person for Altar Boyz, so she's off today. I'll be sure to stay for some of the Boyz arrivals. ;)
In any case, she's preparing the vats of sangria that will be served, so the kitchen smells quite nice now - oranges, limes, peaches, strawberries. -The wine will be opened shortly.

That article was cute! :)
My example comes from the classical world. A little boy was listening to the opening aria of Handel's Messiah, and turned to his mother and asked, "Why is that man asking us to come for tea?"

(http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/musik/music-smiley-013.gif) Won't you come home, dear Freddy? Won't you come home?

I have some good news re: the question i posed a few weeks ago about trading in foreign currency that no longer exists (i.e., french francs ...)
I wish i could remember which DRs were also interested in knowing whether you could still exhange your money. But hopefully anyone interested will see this.
I went to the Exchange place I always use when exchanging foreign currencies and i happened to notice a large book with pictures of bills in it.
So I asked the woman if you could still exchange foreign currencies that no longer existed. And she said that you could as long as their picture was in her book.
Now i have no idea if the rate they give is lower or what. But she said for every 6.7 french francs i could get $1 Cdn.
So i'm at least happy that i can now do this.

Good Afternoon!
Well, I'm clean, the bathroom is clean, and even the living room is clean. OH! And I even managed to do some tidying up in my bedroom. -Ya know, just in case some nosey guests decided to peek in my room during the party.

Hey, thanks DR Singdaw for the PM about the mystic ball game.
The thing that threw me off was that when you refresh it changes the symbols (each number has a new symbol). I just assumed the symbols stayed the same. Tricky!

I imagine most DRs have seen this little item about Leona Helmsley's will (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/29/helmsley.dog.ap/index.html)!
And its companion piece on CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/wayoflife/08/22/helmsley.ap/index.html?iref=newssearch)
Harry Helmsley came to Sleepy Hollow, 14 miles north of New York City, last year after Leona engaged in an ugly battle with Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, where the real estate magnate was originally buried in 1997.
The expansive family mausoleum at Woodlawn was memorably described as a "tomb with a view," but the sweeping vista disappeared when a public mausoleum -- potentially filled with those "little people" who paid taxes -- went up nearby three years ago.
An irate Leona called the new construction "a disgrace," and resolved to relocate the remains of her husband and her son, Jay Panzirer.
I'm sure Edisaurus felt her pain.

My mother has been in the hospital for the last week or so (this time around anyway), and i was there at 4 this morning because she finally passed. Painlessly, I think. I tell you all this because you are one of the most genuinely caring groups i know. My mother had many holes in her lungs (which restricted her quite a bit-although she still managed to get to the grocery store and what not). She passed away more or less how she wanted: her body, mind and money all gave out more or less at the same time (unlike many in the family).
So I guess I'm an "orphling' (Margaret O'Brien in "Meet Me in St. Louis"?)
If asked to say anything at the memorial service, my only words will be, "This is Mrs. Norman Maine." My mother (and maybe even Judy Garland) would get a kick out of it; I think.
Thank you all for just being there.

Here's a question for all you bossa nova aficiaonados...
Did Jobim write most of his songs in Portugese or Spanish originally, and if so, did he have a hand in translating them into English?
Well I don't know a bossa nova from a novena, but BRAZZIL MAGAZINE
(http://www.brazzil.com/content/view/6749/39/) in commenting on Waters of March says:
"Jobim himself re-wrote these lyrics for the English version. It's a whole new poem:"

ASSOCIATED PRESS (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,295063,00.html)
Woman Gives Birth in McDonald's Restroom, Tries to Flush Baby Down Toilet
KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Kansas City police are investigating a 20-year-old woman who allegedly tried to flush her newborn son down the toilet at a McDonald's restaurant after giving birth in the restroom.
Both the baby and the mother, a Kansas City resident who works at the McDonald's, were being treated Tuesday at a Kansas City hospital. Police said the child is expected to survive.
…
"She's being treated, and we haven't been able to talk to her to get her side of all of this," Lockhart said.
Police will then consult with prosecutors to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.
Lockhart said the woman was 32-weeks pregnant when she gave birth in the restroom. She allegedly told paramedics that she tried to flush the baby down the toilet several times, he said.
The child was still in the toilet and wasn't breathing when paramedics arrived, he said. They administered CPR on the child to get him breathing again, Lockhart said.
The paramedics then rushed the baby and mother to the hospital. Police were notified about 2:30 p.m. Monday, Lockhart said.
"The mother told paramedics that she didn't know she was pregnant," he said.
Score another victory for Abstinence Only sex-ed!
And to add even more saddnes, the baby has probably suffered brain damage.

DR. NOEL
What is the running time of your show?
I can only guess, because there's never been a run-through of the current draft (which is rather lean). Way back before I started cutting songs like crazy, a read-through of Such Good Friends with unrehearsed actors took substantially less than two hours. But, with our pros under the direction of a guy who believes in speed, the 109 pages should fly by. Fast-talking types, like you get in The Front Page/His Girl Friday. Figure less than a minute per page.
JFK is only the third closest airport to Manhattan. A cab on a Saturday afternoon might take as long as an hour.
-
Tonight, I plan to watch SCARY MOVIE 4 which I recorded off Starz! and might even have time to squeeze in NUNSENSE II which I took off the to-watch shelf.

Back from another fun rehearsal - did musical numbers and book scenes. I'm finding it easier to just stage anew rather than recreate to the letter the LA staging. We have the video there for reference, but frequently I'll see one of the new actors do something interesting, and then I'll just start to build on that, and then we'll find better stuff.
The only thing that's really difficult right now are the General's scenes - in LA we had a rolling platform with stairs for him and it was a wonderful unit and visual on which I could be really clever with staging. Here we have nothing, and I'm trying to wipe out of my head the image of the unit so I can find something clever to do with these scenes other than just have them all standing there. So far I haven't found it but I'm talking to my set designer momentarily to brainstorm ideas.
-
Funny you should mention that, since Minx LOVED to eat popcorn with me; Dixie Bell could care less about popcorn! (Of course, one of Dixie's daily treats is a salt-free rice cake).

Sherlock, as did Echo & Belle, loves popcorn. He is basically on a corn free diet, except when Keith & Sherlock have popcorn together.
-
That's the spirit, Jane. Just because that shady-looking airport policeman says it means something ugly doesn't mean that's what it meant. From the looks of him, I'm betting he has had a "troubled" past himself.
;D If I heard or saw someone tapping their foot I would just think it was a nervous twitch.
Peering through the door crack of the stall more than once, & playing footsie with me, that would be somewhat scary.
-
Maybe Jane would like one for Sherlock:
It looks to flimsy for Sherlock. I wouldn't want him to get sick over Vick, the man has done enough damage to dogs.
-
Good Afternoon!
Well, I'm clean, the bathroom is clean, and even the living room is clean. OH! And I even managed to do some tidying up in my bedroom. -Ya know, just in case some nosey guests decided to peek in my room during the party.
And now...
Or..........................?
-
Dakota, Singdaw thanks for the Yogi vibes. There has been some definite improvement today. He has more energy, is eating better & is being more affectionate.
Thanks td. What they need is a dog behaviorist, not a trainer, unless the person is both.

Oh Kerry, my heart goes out to you. My heart-felt prayers and sympathy to you, your family, and to everyone who was ever touched by knowing her during her lifetime.
-
We set a record here today. Today is the 29th day of 110+ degrees so far this year.

There is good news for Senator Craig. If he is forced to resign, there is a theater company in San Francisco that is doing an all-male version of FOLLIES and they want him for the Yvonne De Carlo role.

Such Good Friends is now on the Broadway Bullet podcast. It's a little past sixteen minutes in, and lasts for roughly 15 minutes.
I sing, and actually get most of the music and lyrics right!
http://broadwaybullet.com/ (http://broadwaybullet.com/) is the place to go. They've instructions on how to hear it. Enjoy.

Noel-Nice!
Tomovoz, good news Peter won’t have to stay in the hospital the next three weeks. I’m wishing ontinued health vibes to him.
Ginny I think it is nice you will celebrate DS Rob’s birthday by not going to work.

Until later, all. :)

Noel, thanks for sharing the link. I'll be sure to make time to listen.

DR Noel - thanks for sharing this link with us. I enjoyed the podcast very much and am looking forward to seeing your show!
-
My condolences DR Kerry.....
-
DR TCB - How's your shoulder? Maybe you need to come to Ohio and get your second opinion from DH Richard's
hunk surgeon.
-
Now I am really bummed about not being in New York in September. Not only will I be missing the New York New Musical Trifecta (BRAIN, STARFIGHTER, and FRIENDS); but I will also be missing the new production of THE RITZ at Studio 54.
My life is ruined!
-

It has now been 48 hours since I received the cortisone injection, and frankly, I am not impressed. Yesterday it burned like a mother........, but today it feels exactly the same as it did before Dr. Hunk laid hands on me. He said to give it until the weekend, but come Tuesday morning I just may be booking a flight to Ohio. WARN THE BEASTS AND THE HUNKS!
-
Continued vibes for Peter...
-
Health Vibes to DH Richard, TCB and MBarnum....
-
This just in.........
My beautiful microwave just gave up the ghost, apparently forever.
-
That stinks.....
-
DR Jose is keeping company with Freddo. (NOT a LotR reference).
Actually, DR Jose was keeping company tonight with me and the Gilfrys!
-

And didn't share his Freddo?
-
There is life without microwave cooking. This has always been a microwave free zone.
Of course we don't have electricity either.
-
Never fear DR TCB. There are many that love to explore old ruins.
-
DR elmore, was an apartment found? You didn't mention if the one they missed out on was the same one you wanted them to take.
-
Elmore, have the Gilfry's had a luck locating apartment?
Apartment vibes....
-
JINX!!! Jane and I asked the same question ... :)
-
TCB Years ago I had the same reaction to a cortisone shot in my shoulder. My doctor was an idiot & I shouldn't have had it which gives me hope the weekend will bring you some relief .
IMPROVED SHOULDER PAIN VIBES DR TCB!
-
MBarnum has not returned. I wonder if he is still out looking for DC Freddy.
VIBES THAT DARN CAT SLEEPS AT HOME TONIGHT!
Mike, did you take Bosco with you?
-
'night
-
Maybe Jane would like one for Sherlock:

I think cats would join in on chewing on that one

Condolensces to DR Kerry.

All I care about is that it ain't over!
Not until I have personally met each and every HHW poster, including those that don't really want to meet me!
-
FREDDY! WHERE ARE YOU????? HERE KITTY, KITTY, KITTY
-
Back from a wild and wooly evening with Cason, BJ, and Miss Patti - we went to some gross diner - I had fried clams. Cason has many photographs to share.
-
I've been watching CNN's coverage on the anniversary of Katrina. My friend Linda is still living in a FEMA trailer.
-
We'll be taping the Broadway Bullet podcast on September 5th, and I'm sure The Last Starfighter will be doing it, too.
-
We'll be playing our CD on the show, so I don't have to sing live.
-
The Westway Diner -- where the menus are bigger than the portions. And Adriana's head.

I finished up that CLOSER episode I was watching ON DEMAND. Nice to know that quite a few of them are there if I want to revisit any more of this season again. (They're not in HD, of course. Amusingly enough, the On Demand episode of MAD MEN are in HD but the regular broadcasts are not.)
-
Cason has many photographs to share.
:D
-
We could barely peel BJ off the phone with his girlfriend, Dear LA Brain Cast Member Svetlana to order - or take a picture. Though, of course, he found time to make this face.

Post away CAson... BTW, that is what you call a LARGE menu!
-
I would like to meet many of the HHWers someday...
-
I'm trying to spend less time sitting in front of the TV....so tonight I started tearing out the drywall in my basement room that needs to be redone. My mother keeps telling me I need to hire someone to do it but I'm tearing it out. myself. I have watched many many episodes of flip this house. This part isn't difficult.
There are poured cement walls behind the drywall. I think I'll paint them for now. I'm going to turn it into an exercise room and storage room at least until I'm ready to really redo it. I do need to have an electrician come in and put the wires to the outlets in conduit, but that shouldn't be a big deal
-
Next, I watched SCARY MOVIE 4. It's really ridiculous and juvenile (lots of people getting hit in the face and over the head), but I did laugh at some of the antics. There are movie parodies some of which work (like MILLION DOLLAR BABY) and some of which don't (BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN). Most of it is a send-up of Spielberg's WAR OF THE WORLDS and some of Tom Cruise's antics on Oprah.
-
That is quite the face
-
Here is what was left collectively from our plates. Some fried clams, a terrible roll, and some New York ranch dressing.

I never really been a fan of that movie series
-
Next up was NUNSENSE 2. I've never seen it on stage, but I remember when this first came on A&E, and I always thought it was a weak sequel to the original show.
Not just because I was in a production of the fourth one, but NUNCRACKERS is TEN time funnier and more tuneful than NUNSENSE 2.
-
Here is Adriana just melting into a pile of self-pity after some of Bruce's tauntings.
-
While I was waiting for the TV show I wanted to watch to come on, I took PIPPIN from the shelf and watched "Magic To Do" and "No Time At All." Of course, the late Christopher Chadman played Lewis in the video production, and I wondered as I watched those wonderful chorus boys how many others we have lost in the years since that production was taped.
-
After dinner, Adriana showed off her new hairdo.
-
I ended my evening with a new episode of RESCUE ME. There was a weird dream to start the show, and some more fun doings with Probie Sean who desperately wants to be labeled an alcoholic because he had two Long Island Ice Teas the night before.
-
And luckily, her new 'do caught the eye of a passing casting director and she is now the official spokeswoman for Melba Toast.

And those are this evening's pictures.

Good Evening!
Greetings from Party Central!
;) :-\ ::) :P - Pick One.
-
Have you had a choice evening DR Jose?
-
And as DR elmore stated earlier, I did indeed end up dining with him and the Gilfry's. What wonderful people to have dinner with. Even DR elmore. ;)
We supped on large portions of Jewish food - kreplach, matzoh ball soup, pastrami reubens, chopped liver, stuffed cabbage, rye bread, challah rolls and Doc Brown's Cel-Ray!
And for dessert, we had some cookies from Levain - DR elmore and I had picked them up on the way to dinner. And then Rodney Gilfry and I also enjoyed some Grom gelato. :) *And I'm guessing that I've found a fellow foodie in Mr. Gilfry too.
-
I'm listening to Rosemary Clooney "Ballad Essentials"
Why would anyone bother listening to Bette's tribute album?
-
Oh! I almost forgot. I need assistance from all you Foodies out there. I am invited to a Middle Eastern Food party and it's sort of a pot luck. SO, I'm looking for a dish to make. Something simple would be great
-
And now I'm back at my apartment. The party for my roommate, Megan, is starting to die down, but it looks like it was a decent party. She actually ran out of food and drink. Right now, a bunch of people are huddled around her laptop watching favorite YouTube Clips. -Boys, kids today really know how to have fun! ;)
-
I'm heading downstairs to bed.
Good night!
-
And speaking of YouTube...
Dame Judi Dench performing an R&H classic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAMxZulUMaU)
-
And...
Gwen Verdon Remixed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIGbhPLZmjY)
-
Cason, thanks for sharing your photo essay of the evenings happenings... Adrianna is quite the trooper!
-
That Dame Judi performance is a treat. (as is the whole RR tribute concert).
-
DR Kerry - My condolences to you and your family. And, remember, we are always here. :)
-
It was a classy performance... I have always enjoyed her work
-
DR Cason - Of course, if you had checked you messages earlier, you might have taken pictures of some other people tonight. ;)
-Did you really have a bad meal at Westway? I wouldn't call the food there "stellar", but it's always been "good" to "passable". Although, I have to say, after the remodeling they did a couple of years ago, I've thought the food has been missing something. Maybe they just cleaned off the old cooktop a little too well. ;)
-
-And you're never supposed to eat the bread there anyway. ;D
-
Sounds like Yogi is getting back to his old self! Good!!
-
Cason, that was just like being there, which, of course, I was. Miss Patti is still there, trying to eat that roll. She broke three teeth trying. Why wasn't I invited to eat with the Gilfrey's? Especially since he likes the Brain CD. Methinks elmore needs a good kick in the you-know-what and I'm the one who's going to give it to him.
-
OH!
And while waiting for the Gilfry's to arrive at the corner of 72nd and Amsterdam, we happened to run into an old friend of mine from college. We were in the same piano studio, he was a few years ahead of me. In any case, it turns out he's about to head back out on the road as the Associate Conductor for the new tour of Whistle Down The Wind. Alas, since he was on his way to meet a friend, and since we were on our way to dinner, we didn't get to catch up that much, but the short time we spent on the corner was nice.
And it also turned out that he had attended this year's Helen Hayes Awards down in DC. And he told me tonight that he had heard my name announced/acknowledged during the acceptance speech by the winning Musical Director for Cabaret. That was very nice to hear. And it was also nice to see Bryan again too. -And I think DR elmore liked seeing him too. ;)
-
Never fear DR TCB. There are many that love to explore old ruins.
Count me in!
-
No, no - the food this evening was fine. It was just the roll that was a little...dry. Thankfully I had some cream of broccoli soup to dip it in. BJ and BK didn't have the same such luck.
-
Sounds like Yogi is getting back to his old self! Good!!
But is Freddy home?
-
Great pictures, Cason!
-
I'm still sickly.
And we still have no hot water. We're going on 38 hours now...
-
DA (Dear Auntie) Kerry - I'm so sorry for your loss. I love you lots and miss seeing your smiling face...
-
If you see this cat, send his fluffy little butt home!!!

FINDING HIS WAY HOME VIBES TO DC FREDDY!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
I hope you feel better, Jason! And get hot water!
-
DR Laura, did you get to demolish any drywall? It's kind of fun to tear down a wall
-
The room I'm working on used to be the garage on the first floor. Under the drywall is poured concrete walls. They have been painted orange, lol
-
The plumber tore out the drywall for me. He started, and ended up tearing out two and a half walls.
-
Jason, so sorry to hear that you're still feeling sickly. Is there anything I can do? ;)
-
A surprise storm blew in, and it rained all of about three minutes.
