Oh, and HONEY WEST. It's SO comforting to know there are others here who remember that show. It only ran one season, and came on in the impossible Saturday night at 10 p.m. time slot on lowly (back then) ABC. Still, it seems to be remembered rather fondly. I wouldn't mind seeing some of those old shows again now.

I haven't figured out how to post multiple photos so I guess I will have to do them one by one.

Here is a photo from Are You Being Served with Mrs. Slowcome

With two minutes to spare, I'm here to answer the topic of the day!  My three favorite TV shows are The West Wing, 24, and The Simpsons.  In that order.  No HBO, although I have seen and loved three or four seasons of The Sopranos, and a few Sex and the City episodes.

Well, that's my day...I miss you all and can't wait to catch up!

Love,
Joy

Mission: Impossible The first 5 seasons were the best and the first three were outstanding. Often imitated never bested.  This series is everything the movie version aren't. Team play and no one is more important than anyone else.

MDS: Trivia you need to know. The actress on the left of the picture from "Are You Being Served" is Wendy Richard who is long time member of British soapie "Eastenders". Wendy was on a British and Oz novelty hit record in 1962 with singer Mike Sarne - "Come Outside".  OK So it is "show off" pop trivia time.

Not only did I meet Ms. Jo Sullivan-Loesser, but I also got to meet Mr. Tony Walton, scenic designer/director/ex-husband of Ms. Julie Andrews extraordinaire, and the wife of the late Geo. Abbott. Isn't that exciting? Isn't it just too too?

Mr. Tony Walton is the wife of the late Geo. Abbott?  I never knew that! ;)  ;D

The worse thing is when you have fond memories of watching "classic" shows as child and then revisiting them as an a adult and you can't stand them. Usually they are comedies but some times they are drama/actions that were so of its time. Can't stand to watch "hip" shows. One of my biggest dissapointments as an adult has been "Batman". It is too painful yo watch and I adored it as a child. Same goes for Gilligan's Island and many others.

So let's twist our postings a little. What were your favorite shows but you can't stand to watch them anymore

I hate to say it MDS, but I have the same problem with not only the TV series Lost in Space, which I never missed when I was young, but also with one of my favorite movies as a child, Mary Poppins.  I tried watching in again, not long ago, and I was bored to tears.

Always a Buffy & Angel fan.  Oh my, those pictures of David B -- I need to take another shower!

Gee, seeing the way David B is dressed in either pic, I thought you might want to take a bubble bath!   I get first dibs on the rubber duckie, though.

I agree. I loved BATMAN and LOST IN SPACE as a kid, but I'm sure LOST IN SPACE would be incredibly silly to sit through now. BATMAN just looks cheesy.

The old SUPERMAN shows, on the other hand, I can still watch and enjoy, even with their zero production values.

Oh, in case anyone else encounters a problem with their astrological sign:  The problem occurs only if your birth date falls on the cusp between two signs.  My birthday is 8/23, which falls directly between Leo and Virgo.  If I change the day I was born one way or another, I get my sign to post in my profile, but not if I keep my birthday on the 23rd.

Dad is going to be late again tonight, so I can hop on and post from time to time.  I SHOULD be studying for algebra right now, but I haven't got the slightest idea HOW to do the problems, so I'm here instead, writing my paper for history.  :P

I almost never watch TV, as I don't have enough time, but when I babysit, I watch a lot of The Cosby Show, Three's Company, Trading Spaces, The Real World, I Love the Eighties, Sex and the City, and, of course, ever kids show known to man.

BK: That is a LOT of DVD's. What was the first DVD you ever bought? Do you still have it?

My friend Alix is going to see Cabaret on Sunday, for the previous "last performance", and she's meeting up with Cabarethead from BWW. Apparently, this woman has seen the show 39 times, and Alix won't shut up about it. Is Cabaret really that good? It sounds fun, but I'm not sure if I'd go and see it 40 times. Or even twice. Anyway, I'm in for a looong week of "Sarah, only 5 more days until Cabaret! You SOOO need to see it. Adam Pascal is SO hot and Susan Egan is AMAZING even though I'm not going to see her and I'm seeing her awful understudy and did you know the orchestra is up above and the emcee dances with the audience and he shows his butt and the costumes are amazing and I know every step because I have a bootleg copy of the show and I'm going to be in it someday and I'm in LOVE with the set, let me draw it for you, it's so pretty and there's holes in the wall in 16 places and they say this word 500 times and I'm so excited aren't you?!?"

Just shoot me now...AND she's seeing Rent on Monday. If she starts obsessing about that I just might flip!  :o

Oh, and chat last night was uber-fun  :D. I was only there for about a half hour, as my dad strolled in the door and I had to scoot very quickly, but all that happened while I was there was fun indeed. I think we all missed chat, there hasn't ever been that many people at one time! It was moving too fast even for me!

*sigh*...off to do more homework. I'll check in later.

I'm going to try and post a picture, we'll see if it works.

Sarah:  What's that kitty's name?  Sockszilla?

1, 2, buckle my shoe....

Has NO ONE heard from Lulu?  Does NO ONE know where she is?

3, 4, open the door

David Boreanaz has put on some pounds since all those photos were taken.  He's not fat, but he's more solid. That's the married life settling in on him!

5, 6, pick up the sticks!

Woah, all these suggestive pic's on a family site... well, I declare.  LOL (laughing out loud in internet lingo) forgot to add "Sex and the City" to my feeble "Golden Girls" and the "Nanny" post earlier today.  Off to see "Seussical" in three hours.

DR Matt H - I could be wrong - heaven knows! - but I seem to remember Honey West on the ABC Friday Night line up with The Flintstones, The Addams Family, and The Farmer's Daughter.

I think Saturday night on ABC was The Hollywood Palace and Lawrence Welk.

I haven't figured out how to post multiple photos so I guess I will have to do them one by one.

WARNING! BK will shoot me for showing you this!

To imbed images:

It will place a (img)(/img) line in your message (except the brackets will be square).

Find the desired photo.

This link will get you to Cult Telly which has gobs of links to web pages for TV shows and Movies

Using it, you get to a marvelous German Website which has 1335 stills from AYBS

When you find a pic you want to imbed, right click the image and select “properties”; then you will be able to cut/paste the URL for the image between the brackets of  img][/img

And, Voila!

Almost time to go home.  Almost.  I might even leave early.

I came to work early.  I did.  I was 45 minutes early.

Blame the time change.  Blame my cat.  Blame the bossa nova, but there it is.

The light is fading ever so slightly outside.  The sun is announcing its setting.

Soon, the Pacific will be sizzling as the sun takes a dip.
