Thoroughly enjoyed FACE THE MUSIC, even if I was a little tired from how hard Skip worked today.  :) :)

I hope Skip enjoyed Face the Music too.  And that he's able to get a night's sleep tonight.

Have you done the dishes yet, DR FJL? ;)

BTW, one avatar that I hope NEVER changes: DR ELMORE's. That smile of his goes perfectly with all the clever and witty things he says.

Don't change. OK, ELMORE?

RE: Tonight's two-hour(!) "The Amazing Race"

WOW!  What an amazing journey!  And what an emotional roller-coaster the show turned out to be tonight.

*I just have a question about the rules:  So, does only one team get to take advantage of a Fast Forward?

Normally only one team can win a fast forward. Any number of teams can try to get it, but only the first team to finish it gets it.

However tonight there was an intersection (which rarely happens). It meant that 2 teams had to work together. So they let both those teams go for the ff and get it.  But the 3rd and 4th place teams could not have gone for the ff cause it was already taken (i mean they could have gone for it but it would have said "taken").

Back - finally back.  The two o'clock seder actually began at four-thirty, and we didn't really eat until five-thirty.  Now I am stuffed to the gills and I don't know if I'll end up doing another page or two or not - I did manage to do five, so that's fine.  Tomorrow, I have to go back and implement this plethora of research detail into what I've done, much of which I just wrote as a placeholder until details were confirmed.

DR Jennifer - Thanks for the rules clarification.

Now...  If a team did not complete the FF, would they get another opportunity to complete it?  Or would they have to go on to the other tasks?

FYI (cause I know inquiring HHW minds will now want to know):  Looked it up, that monster with the long hair was Cousin Itt....

I met cousin It once...he was sort of a grumpy little guy.

Hello all!   Well mom and dad are tucked into bed. My mom still is pretty weak from being sick a couple days ago. She told me they both slept 10 hours last night and then drove from  Dodge City, KS to Sioux City.  We had dinner. She didn't eat much, but she did eat, so that's good

DtM, for me, cleaning for Mom and Dad means more when they are sleeping here than when they aren't. Gotta make sure the cat hair is off the sleeping areas.

Dr Jose, if a team doesn't complete a FF they can go back and do the other task, sort of like when you start a task and decide you want to do the other one. The the FF is still up for grabs and you lose the time you spent trying to do it

I have big news!  I got a call tonight telling me that the person who won the bid for weatherperson for a day in an auction a couple weeks ago never got back to the people at the auction, so they decided to give it to the person with the second high bid....ME!   So at some time in the not to distant future, I will be going to KTIV TV and training with the weather people and then doing the weather at noon on that day. What a kick!   I'm really looking forward to this.  Being a weather person is one of my nerdy fantasies.

One more thing about the photos, they really show how much the people here in BK's living room (a Music Guy Reference) really care about each other.  So cool

Thanks, DR Cillaliz - That's what I thought.  It just wasn't specified on the program tonight what would have happened if they had not completed the FF.  -So, I'm guessing that means that they only had once "chance" to get it right - ???

And that's great news about the auction, DR Cillaliz!

And good to know your parents made it to your place safe and sound.  How long will they be staying?

They're just spending the night.  They are only 2 hours from home, but had such a long drive today that they didn't want to go any farther and I'm very glad to have them stay. That's why I only had a couple hours notice that they would be staying here.  They both told me mom has never been sicker in her life than she was the night they were in New Mexico and she had to go to the hospital.  I think she just wants to get home.

Mom now wants one of us to drive them out there next year. I think dad is coming around to that idea too.

My last load of laundry just finished (I forgot about it and had to throw it in the dryer a little while ago).  I think I'll get things put away and go upstairs and read.

Congrats on your weatherperson gig, DR Cillaliz.  I hope you have some exciting--but not too exciting--weather to report.
