Well, you've read the notes, the notes were an adventure, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're having a Moo York Adventure.
-
And the word of the day is: OPPROBRIUM!
-
WOW~ I've never been the first to post after BK
-
Too bad I don't have anything to say execpt good night. I need to get some rest so I can go to work in the morning. Much to do before I get to leave on a jet plane. Night all.
-
Good Evening!
Another uneventful train ride back down to DC... :)
*Although the guy who was in front of me fell asleep almost as soon as he had taken his seat... And, of course, he started snoring... Loudly... Loud enough that most everyone in the car got a case of the giggles now and then. Thankfully, I had my iPod Shuffle and earphones with me.
;)

bk - As for your search for shoes... Well, if you do want decent running shoes, then they're gonna run you at least $90. Most brands make "lower" models, but I've found that making an investment is a good one. -But even some of the "cheaper" running shoes will still run you at least $50. -When was the last time you bought shoes? However, as long as your not into long-distance runs - five plus miles each time - you should be fine with cross-trainers. They tend to be cheaper, plus they provide just a bit more stability for your feet.
-
Hmm... What's the deal with the some of our newest members/users/Dear Readers? Well, at least their names. Hmm..
???
-
As for the Topic of the Day... Hmm...
I really will need to sleep on this one...
-
For some reason I can't read tomorrow's notes. What is wrong with that sentence? I am sure I will be told that it has something to do with eating cookies, or having cookies, or something.
Oh well, I am off to bed. I will try something different, and read tomorrow's notes -- tomorrow!
-
As for tomorrow's T.O.D.... I haven't a clue because I can't get into the f%##^%$ notes!
-
now, now TCB!!! I had no trouble dear sir!
-
Oh...
Goodnight.

FROM TODAY'S NOTES:
I was flipping around the TV dial and came upon a how entitled Conversations with Michael Eisner on CNBC.
I'm sure bk meant "howl" and not "how".

Food Item for the Day:
How to pack a box lunch for 11,500 (http://www.presstelegram.com/news/ci_4388446)
Participants will be chomping down on a bulgur wheat chicken salad, with a side of green beans served in extra virgin olive oil and kosher salt, grapes, an oatmeal bar and pita triangles.
Here's a breakdown of what went into the making of the meal:
3,800 pounds of bulgur wheat salad
4,250 pounds of grilled chicken
2,150 pounds of green beans
3,000 pounds of red grapes
15,000 bottles of water
36 gallons of extra virgin olive oil
Maria Shriver has asked the caterer and convention center manager SMG to be as "green as possible," meaning most items are compostable, and she also wanted the meal to be healthy, according to SMG managers.
Definitely a "healthy" meal - unless you were a chicken

Poughkeepsie Journal (http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060925/NEWS01/60925013)
Fentress to stay in secure mental hospital
A former Poughkeepsie schoolteacher who killed and cannibalized a teenager in 1979 must remain in a secure mental hospital for at least two more years.
That was the gist of a decision issued Monday by state Supreme Court Judge James Catterson in the case of 64-year-old Albert Fentress, who is being held at Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center in Goshen, Orange County.
Fentress, who was a history teacher at Poughkeepsie Middle School, admitted luring 18-year-old Paul Masters, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, into his home on Aug. 19, 1979. He then threatened Masters with a gun, tied him up in his basement and sexually mutilated him before eating some of his body parts. He then shot Masters in the head.
Fentress was found not responsible for the crime by reason of insanity and has been living in mental hospitals ever since. Under state law, he is eligible for release every two years unless a judge decides he is still dangerously mentally ill.
One hopes the judge did not spend much time deliberating!

I agree... Sick!!
-
I reduced it from its original size... It was taken in 1988 but I am uncertain of the whole story behind it. It is part of the Matt-Missylore we do not know....
-
Part of the reason for hte lore... If the picture was taken in 1988 and the character did not get this office until mid 1989... What is the story with the picture...
The picture was released in 1988.

I do not have a decent anagram for a sentence using the word OPPROBRIUM. How shameful! :'(

Good morning, all! I am thrilled that things are going so well on STARFIGHTER for our BK. I wanted him two years ago for WHERE'S CHARLEY? but some things were not to be. I'm sure that a lot of New Yawkers will be impressed by Mr Kimmel's way with a line, a lyric, and a melody.

I'm going to try the new Ted Danson comedy tonight: HELP ME HELP YOU. Well, I'll DVR it; I'll probably be watching LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT during that time period.
Looks like an offshoot of the old BOB NEWHART SHOW. The patients seem like they may be fun to watch.
-
And I still have last night's OLD CHRISTINE, VANISHED, and CSI: MIAMI to check out, too.
-
I'm up, I'm up. Slept until ten, which I really needed to do. Now I shall go out and see about some running shoes.

Good Morning!
Well, I thought sleeping in would be a good idea, but I have a sense that I may have slept a bit too much. Ah, well...
However, I have nothing scheduled until the show tonight so...
But, I do have some relatives visiting, so I'll be heading out to my parents' place in a bit for a visit.

The Producers
Man Facing Southeast
The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T

Truly, Madly, Deeply
Harold and Maude
Amadeus
(I'm sure I'm forgetting something REALLY important!!)
As a relative newbie, I've already been introduced to new music, plays and films that I never would have heard of if I had not visited. (Not to mention Acquanetta!)
Some day, I'd love the topic of the day to be everybody's favorite documentaries. I would love to hear everyones' impressions and discover some new films I haven't seen. (BTW, a few days ago somebody mentioned "Wordplay", the crossword puzzle doc. It's definitely worth seeing!) So bk, when you run out of TODs....

Actually, they get put to a lot of use. Western Costume in LA has floors full of stuff that theatre's from all over rent. When I was playing Mordred I had a black cape with a "Vincent Price" tag sewn into the lining. (Having Price's cape helped me throw much sacastric virtriol at Arthur.)

Extremely interesting, well-written and acted, beautifully produced/paced....an intriguing debut for a show that has had little press, to my knowledge.

DR DAKOTACELT - I think that most of the Dynasty costumes have been redone or remade for other shows.

How can you resist Hans Conreid being dressed by half a dozen men in powder blue tuxedos showering him with rose petals? And the lyrics:
Come on and dress me, dress me, dress me in my finest array, 'Cause just in case you haven't heard, today is do-mi-do day. Dress me in my silver garters, dress me in my diamond studs, 'Cause I'm going do-mi-do-ing in my do-mi-do duds!
I want my undulating undies with the marabou frills. I want my beautiful bolero with the porcupine quills. I want my purple nylon girdle with the orange-blossom buds, 'Cause I'm going, do-mi-do-ing, in my do-mi-do duds!
Come on and dress me, dress me, dress me in my peekaboo blouse With the lovely interlining made of Chesapeake mouse. I want my polka-dotted dickie with the crinoline fringe, For I'm going do-mi-do-ing on a do-mi-do binge!
I want my lavender spats, and in addition to them I want my honey-colored gusset with the herringbone hem. I want my softest little jacket made of watermelon suede And my long persimmon placket with the platinum braid.
I want my leg-of-mutton sleeves, and in addition to those I want my cutie chamois booties with the leopard-skin bows. I want by pink-brocaded bodice with the fluffy fuzzy ruffs And my gorgeous bright blue bloomers with the monkey-feather cuffs.
I want my organdy snood, and in addition to that I want my chiffon Mother Hubbard lined with Hudson Bay rat! Dress me up from top to bottom, dress me up from tip to toe, Dress me up in silk and spinach for today is do-mi-do. Do-mi-do day! Do-mi-do day!
So come and dress me in the blossoms of a million pink trees! Come on and dress me up in liverwurst and camembert cheese! Come on and dress me up in pretzels, Dress me up in Bock beer suds, 'Cause I'm going. Do-mi-do-ing. In my do-oh oh-oh-oh oh-oh-oh oh do-mi-do Duds!

then here:

and now here:
For over 90 years, the motion picture camera has captured legendary roles in timeless film epics. During that time Western Costume's apparel has adorned every star imaginable. Although we reserve the pieces of unique historical value, most of that wardrobe, and thousands of other costumes found in our inventory, is available for rental.
…
We are constantly adding costumes to our inventory. Single items we find in tiny, out-of-the-way vintage stores, and entire wardrobes purchased from major feature films and television productions equally contribute to our extensive rental collection.
…
Maybe your favorite film is "Gone With The Wind," "The Sound of Music," "West Side Story," The Godfather," or "Titanic." We love those films, too. After all, we were part of them. With an inventory of over three million costumes filling seven miles of racking, plus an amazing staff of dedicated artisans. When you join the Western Costume family, you'll be in very good company.
Selections include:

Does anybody share my pain!!!!! (well, maybe Matt)
der Brucer
Probably my dad. He watches many of those same shows.
I watch a lot of tv, but none of the ones you listed. Thankfully I mostly only have one show on at a time (or sometimes at 10pm i will tape one and watch one).
Since we have no CW network (and i like many of those shows) our fox network runs them from 10pm to midnight. So tonight i will have gilmore girls at 10pm. And next week i will have veronica mars at 11pm. Yeah.
-
Jrand, reprinting the cover won't help. Of course, folks like Jane, who were MIA during the many times I posted pix and then announced the book site, don't even know it's available for ordering. Well, amazon it will be - and unless they get the paperback version, it's more expensive there.
-
DR Edisaurus, will your doc be playing in or near Portland, Oregon anytime soon?
I hope so! So far it has sold out every screening, including the one tonight in NY. (They are probably small rooms---the Boston Public Library last week was our biggest, at 300 seats.) I don't know if it will draw such good crowds in places besides the NE, where the story takes place, but I have hopes!
It will have its theatrical release in Jan/Feb 2007 and you can watch for screenings on our website: www.willowpondfilms.com
Also, if you send me your email address, I'll put you on our mailing list when it hits the west coast!
-
I recorded The Dressing Song with Michelle Nicastro on Reel Imagination. I also love Just Because We're Kids and the Hynosis number - and the amazing Eugene Loring ballet with the instruments.
-
I know when I was in a high school production they ordered a couple of costumes from a Theatre costume operation out of Chicago.
Probably from Costume Holiday House (http://www.costumeholidayhouse.com/theatre/default.asp)
A place where you can rent costumes "by the show".
Even specialty stuff like

Thanks for the info DerBrucer!

One recall it being two dress from Hello Dolly...
and one from Annie Get your Gun.

Must...find..."Reel Imagination"...
I, too, love the ballet in the dungeon with the scratchy violins, squeaky piccolos, etc. etc. etc... It has to be inspired by Hieronymous Bosch's "Musical Hell". And those Frederick Hollander arrangments!
-
JRand, let us hope that those wonderful Vera West gowns are not decaying some place...or being worn out by punk rockers who picked them up at the local thrift.
-
Hollander was a great composer (he wrote Falling In Love Again) and Dr. T is his masterpiece.
-
We have so few trivia players that no one noticed that the answer wasn't posted - it will be this evening, IF I can remember.
I'm sad to say that I think the contest will go on a long hiatus once again.
-
Does anybody share my pain!!!!! (well, maybe Matt)
Definitely me. This is what every night Sunday - Thursday looks like for me, and some of my favorites like VERONICA MARS, CROSSING JORDAN, and LOST haven't entered the picture yet. Nor has THE NINE, just another 10 p.m. show to squeeze in somehow.
-
Had a lengthy (but entertaining) afternoon catching up with last night's shows and some more GREY'S ANATOMY.
I began with OLD CHRISTINE, one of the funniest episodes of the series thus far. Scott Bakula was the guest star (had a horrible haircut, but it was explained by his being an "elderly hippie." But really funny moments and a doozy of a surprise at the end of the show.
-
CSI: MIAMI had a much better episode than the season premiere focusing on the case instead of personalities and vengeance.
-
VANISHED continued its labyrinthan story that has me totally absorbed now and just hoping that the series can least out the season. I'll be so angry if the show gets canceled prematurely and we don't get all the answers to what's actually going on.
-
And the word of the day is: OPPROBRIUM!
Casey would waltz with an OPPROBRIUMable blonde
And the pictures got in the tabloids!
-
I watched two GREY'S ANATOMY episodes. The first was the Christmas themed episodes, one of my favorites, as Alex gets grudging support from his fellow interns so he can pass his board exams.
The second was the New Year's episode that introduced us to the heart-melting Denny Duquette.
I had seen both of these episodes and loved seeing them again.
-
I am now an officially-trained Know It
All Now provider. Of course, the soonest I will be called upon to use the training I just received will be 13, by which time I will have forgotten everything!
Oh, the thank you gift is a 256MB flash drive on a lanyard and a USB extension cable. Very cool!
-
I also watched (and sped through) THE CROWD ROARS. I had seen this some time ago, but I didn't remember Jane Wyman being in it so I DVRed it so I could see who she played. She does a VERY broad SOuthern accent in the movie. It was also filled with MGM contract players doing their thing: Robert Taylor, Frank Morgan, Maureen O'Sullivan, Nat Pendleton, Edward Arnold, Lionel Stander,
-
I had to get up too early this morning. I need a nap.
-
TOD - Off the top of my head...
Sullivan’s Travels
City Lights
Best Years of Our Lives
Shane
The Searchers
Sunset Boulevard

Some Like It Hot
The Manchurian Candidate
Bad Day at Black Rock

The Gold Rush

The Great Dictator
-
I shall now be on my way to rehearsal, after which, unless someone calls to have dinner, I shall return.
-
Seeing DR Maria's list made me realize I left off any CHaplin (especially CITY LIGHTS, for me one of the greatest films ever made).
Just goes to show I copuld do another entire list of 10. There are many classic masterpieces out there that deserve such recognition.
-
Actually, they get put to a lot of use. Western Costume in LA has floors full of stuff that theatre's from all over rent. When I was playing Mordred I had a black cape with a "Vincent Price" tag sewn into the lining. (Having Price's cape helped me throw much sacastric virtriol at Arthur.)

There's costume place from London (can't think of the name) that shows costumes in art museums. We have an exhibition of them at the Sioux city Art Center right now
-
I LOVED "Studio 60" because of all the dialogue. I also LOVED "Sports Night" (but never watched "The West Wing") for the same reason. "Studio 60" is just really different from anything that I usually watch. ;)
I really liked it last night. I think I'm going to keep watching.
-
This morning I went for a walk, and this is what I saw sitting on a large tree stump:
-
DR Laura...I want to go for a walk with you!

Museum of the City of New York has MANY Broadway costumes in its collection. I saw Mary Martin's South Pacific and Peter Pan costumes, and some of Yul Brynner's from The King and I.

Sadly, the exhibit was closed for renovations when I went there to see it. And we didn't bother going last summer. Next summer, I think I'd like to try again to see it.
-
HEROES won the 9 o'clock hour in total viewers last night. A nice surprise for NBC. STUDIO 60 placed in second again to CSI: MIAMI though STUDIO 60 lost some of its audience from premiere week.
-
Now, I need to clean the living room, read more about Eileen Heckart, and then back to another full night of TV.
WBBL.

Seeing DR Maria's list made me realize I left off any CHaplin (especially CITY LIGHTS, for me one of the greatest films ever made).
And it made me realize I hadn't included any Buster Keaton! Yikes! So I would have to include "The General", especially because the train was stolen in my home town in Georgia.
The hotel the train thieves stayed at the night before they stole the train is here on the square, next door to the Gone With The Wind museum, with lots of costumes from the film.
Darn....GWTW! Another film I forgot! How could I?
-
Good Afternoon!
Well, of course, I head out to my parent's house to meet one of my mother's grandnieces - at least I think that's who my mother said was visiting - and no one was there. -And that was after my mom had left a message saying she would be there. So...
-
DR Laura...I want to go for a walk with you!
I know the good spots, DR Cillaliz. I'd drive you nuts, though -- I stop and look at (and photograph) everything!
-
At 7pm, Friday, October 6, 2006, there will be an author event for this book at the Lincoln Center Barnes & Noble, 1972 Broadway. Anybody wanna go with me?
-

I'd take my camera, too!
-
So...
I did make a stop by my storage space. Alas, I did not find exactly what I was looking for - I think "that" is in my other storage space anyway (ugh) - however, I did find some other things. And I also got a better idea of just how much "stuff" I need, I mean I have[/b] to go through before the end of this year. It's not that bad. However...
-
However...
I happened to run into my father while I was at the storage place. Turns out he was clearing out his storage space - well, at least moving everything he had stored in there while the house was being shown back into the house. So... -I'm still not exactly sure what is happening with their house in Fairfax, but I do know that they're still planning on moving down to Richmond in a couple of months. In any case...
Once I got back to my parents' house, I went ahead and looked at the boxes of stuff that I had over there. -Yes, I have boxes of stuff everywhere! :-\ Not only did I find some of the boxes that I knew I had there, but I also came across some boxes which I thought were long gone. Boxes from two moves ago! 10 to 12 years ago!! I got kind of excited while making a scan of the contents of those boxes - there were some things that I spotted that I thought were long gone. I guess when my parents moved from Arlington, they had placed those two or three boxes in the attic in Fairfax... Out of sight, out of mind. I really can't wait to go through those boxes with a fine tooth comb.
*And I just saw a commercial for one of those TV station/bank sponsored "shredding" events. All in the timing I guess.
;)
-
Did my previous post make any sense? I know I'm sort of rambling, so... my apologies for any confusion I may have caused.
;)
The short story - Some boxes in storage. Some boxes at my parents' house. A lot of stuff that I know will be purged/trashed/shredded. And some stuff that I know I will keep.
-
Oh...
And my parents' and my grandniece/cousin/?? will be coming to see Cabaret tonight. Should be interesting.
;)

OH!...
And speaking of Cabaret... It looks like I'll be conducting/playing a show or two next week.
:)
However, that may also mean that I may not be able to make it back up to NYC this weekend - at least on Saturday - for the HHW gathering at Joe Allen. We shall see...

-
Hi everyone, just popped home after work for a quick bite of dinner. Now I'm on my way to dance class.
-
Sadly, regarding the Museum of the City of New York, much of the costume exhibit is still in storage. The Theatre exhibit is OK but it's not what it used to be. They promote it as being a great time and while there are some fun things there it's not the treasure trove it used to be, IMHO. We went just a couple of months ago and the museum is outgrowing the space. They don't have room for all the exhibits and won't until the new space is built. That won't be until 2010 or later. Just thought you should know, in case you're planning to come to NY soon and trek up to 103rd Street and Fifth Avenue.
-
Hey, Antonia, Anthony said he'll see you there (at Dance Class). He's getting ready to leave right now.
-
Well... Off to the theatre... And to meet some relative I've never met before... So...
Laters...
-
I really liked it and was disappointed that it was never recognized.
That's because the book was better. Also, what about DOUBLE INDEMNITY being overlooked? By whom?
-
I have five minites to dress and head back down to 37th Street. Different production, different stasff, same lousy sound problems. Totally ridiculous. The cast and band have at least played through all the music together, but we did not get through Act Two in today's rehearsal. Most of the time was wasted on sound, setting mikes, running cues, moving the band, so we did get throuogh all of Act One. Luckily, the cast is good and we'l see . . .
-
Topic of the Day! Here's my top 14 (sorry, couldn't limit it to just 10...well, I could, but I didn't want to ;)) and they're in alphabetical order, not order of importance. Anyway, most have already been mentioned because I can't really think of any others off the top of my head ::)
AUNTIE MAME
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN
GONE WITH THE WIND
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE (the original)

Georgie! You do realize that THE OZ COUPLE arrives in Seattle next Friday?
TOMMY!! Yes I do! ;D
;)
But what will they do here? ??? I haven't heard of any plans for an official HHW meeting! :-\
-
Good morning, all!
DR TCB, Beth Fowler is playing the Lillian Gish role, Rachel Cooper; here's the site for cast and crew info:
http://nymf.org/index.php?module=ShowManager&func=display&sid=322
Now I don't no nothing 'bout no Lillian Gish role, but I assume it is the Dorothy Loudon role?
-
I am not sure that I am qualified to answer today's TOD but I will do my best:
Maybe:
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
ALL THAT HEAVEN ALLOWS
LAGAAN
INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
INTERNATIONAL HOUSE
hmmm...that is all I can think of.
What about The Three Stooges Meet Hercules?
-
Interesting links, DRDAKOTACELT.
you must post a photo of the CHARADE dress for us to see!
You know, it is the one that Cary wore for his wedding to Dyan Cannon.
-
Good Evening!
Greetings from the Fichalnder Green Room at Arena Stage!
...And my mother's grand-niece is in the audience sitting next to my parents. -I finally got the genealogical rundown before the show. I'll check in on them at intermission and after the show.
-
And, yes, it looks like I'll be donning the dress and playing next Tuesday night's show. :)
-
Yes. I said a "dress".
;D
-
And I think I can still swing a trip up to NYC this weekend too! -So just how big a table at Joe Allen will we need?
-
Yes. I said a "dress".
;D
Good for you!!
;)
-
I watched, and LOVED, NBC's "Heroes" last night.
Extremely interesting, well-written and acted, beautifully produced/paced....an intriguing debut for a show that has had little press, to my knowledge.
Little press? Are you being sarcastic?
-
Re: Dancing With the STars.
spoilers.
I did not know that we could vote by phone in canada. That was a nice surprise. I've only done it online.
I am trying to do it now online but i cannot for the life of me remember my abc.com password!
I"m curious who everyone's favorites were. My fav was mario and then monique. I'm big into choreography and thought that louie did great choreography for monique.

Hey, Antonia, Anthony said he'll see you there (at Dance Class). He's getting ready to leave right now.
Dance class was fabu! Ant is a great dancer in case anyone is interested.

(With apologies to Fred)
He is still a baby. When he does learn to speak he will call me Mommie. ;)
With all the Sherlock jokes I'm thinking of changing it back to Mycroft ;D, the name we originally picked before Keith got Muzbe into his head.

I know the good spots, DR Cillaliz. I'd drive you nuts, though -- I stop and look at (and photograph) everything!
I would also take my camera, and then pace when I got restless. :)

I still think Muzbee was pretty good! LOL! It certainly made me laugh.

Watched another GREY'S ANATOMY episode. This was the one with Alex getting his test results, and the nurses going out on strike. Always enjoyable.
-
HOUSE had an intriguing case trying to diagnose a child with Autism. That was fascinating (as was the revelation at the end), but House's stubborn insistence on his original carpet really irritated me even more than it irritated Cuddy. I guess Wilson's explanation of his actions should have made me rethink my objection, but it was still distracting me from the case.
-
Page 7 Hades and Meg Dance!!!
-
LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT had an overly familiar story of teacher and student committing a crime together.
Logan's new partner is another refugee from Dick Wolf's last series CONVICTED, and though she was painted as a highly skilled and street tough woman, she just seemed way too young to be believed. Maybe it was the freckles. At any rate, I prefer the Goren/Eames team now to this one.
-
NIP/TUCK had a typically outrageous episode. The organ robbery was pretty eye-opening, and I thought we might have more of that story, but it was over in a quarter hour, and on to the next infidelity with Sean and Christian each participating. Lots of guest stars this week including Sarah Gilbert, Jacqueline Bissett, and Larry Hagman.
-
And I'll have HELP ME, HELP YOU, BOSTON LEGAL, and LAW & ORDER: SVU to watch tomorrow.
Craig Bierko joined BOSTON LEGAL as a regular tonight. I'll look forward to seeing that episode tomorrow.
-
Off to bed now.
Good night!
-
Good Evening!
Well, I met my mother's grand-niece, and they all enjoyed the show tonight too.
And that's about it for now. ;)
-
Back from a nice rehearsal. My voice help up okay, although again we ran the same thing several times full-out - I realize now that for tomorrow and Thursday I'm not going to do that anymore. I'll do it once full-out then mark if we end up doing it again and again. But, I think this will get easier as we start putting the thing on its feet. I'm going in a half-hour earlier than planned to run my solos - which I won't do full out. It's a longer rehearsal tomorrow night - till ten. I probably will come directly back to the hotel instead of dining. Tonight, after rehearsal, I dined with Skip and Fred - we went to a Mexican place called Chevy's and I ate like I had never eaten before - tons of chips, plus guacamole, an enchilada and a taco. I did walk quite a bit today, so hopefully I will not gain.
-
THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER played really well tonight, the band played beautifully, and the production was quite moving. Beth Fowler was really wonderful, but there were lots of great character actors - Gordon Weiss, Mary Strout, Gerry Vichi, Ellen Harvey, and Tina Johnson, whom I've known since her days in THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE - all giving excellent performances. The audience seemed enthusiastic, and I saw lots of friends in the house: Ned Ginsburg, Peter Filichia, Douglas Coen. I am really honored to have been a part of three shows in the Festival.

The ballet is so wonderfully surreal in Dr. T. And to think that it's in a kid's film. In fact, the whole film is daffily surreal, yet elegantly simple...Could you see a studio trying to make this film today? First, they'd talked down to the kids and then add fart jokes and just generally making louder, larger, and dumber.
