And on that note (G #), I'm going to bed. Good night, everyone. And thanks, DearReaderLaura for the pictures. ;D

TOD: I love chocolate. Sadly, my cholesterol level does not allow me to enjoy it often. I do eat M&Ms while driving, since they help keep me awake. What good does low cholesterol do if you fall asleep driving and get in an accident?
-
Nice photos DR Laura... Interestingly, they dont sell cherry coke here or at least it is not very common.
-
Laura, Chocolate is a food group all on its own.
have you tried dark chocolate?
-
I'm studying for the retest of my cholesterol test. I'll see about dark chocolate after I get the results.
-
LOL and thank you DearReader Laura.
-
I love dark chocolate... I have a weakness for dark chooclate M&M's
I also like See's and Girardelli's dark chocolate
Ritter Sport
Dove Dark chocolate and especially their Dark Chocolate with Dulce Caramel
Also Target has a rather tasty cappuccino chocolate bar.
Not a white chocolate fan...
-
I'm studying for the retest of my cholesterol test. I'll see about dark chocolate after I get the results.
DArk chocolate does nto have any milk in it and thus a bit lower in fats... It is good if eaten in moderation...
However, I at times have a wee bit of a problem of moderation when it comes to chocolate
-
Laura, you do know the story about green M&M's, right?

DR DearReaderLaura:
Wonderful pictures of the knobs and knockers ceilings and doors from Las Vegas - where else on the internet could you get that kind of stuff? Thanks for sharing!!

DR Cillaliz -
CONGRATULATIONS on winning your dream - weatherperson for a day!! I hope we'll be allowed to view a clip of the results!
-
Well I'm up. I got up, snuck down the stairs to take my shower and when I got back upstairs my parents were up, dressed, making their beds and anxious to get on the road. No time for breakfast, they are almost there.
So they are on the road and I have a little time before work.
They both said they slept well (about 9 hours) and I'm really glad they stopped. It's a very easy drive from here to their house. Mom said she just couldn't wait to get home and sit in her recliner until she's feeling better
-
DR Laura - you are kidding about the mental eval, right? I was looking for an "April Fools" but didn't see it.
-
DR TCB - The guy who called me about the prize is sort of a friend of mine, but this wasn't a joke. He's one of the organizers of Rivercade, the festival that held the fundraising auction. The deadline to get back to them was last Wednesday, so it doesn't surprise me that they decided to give the person a week before moving to the next on the list.
-
I will get details about the weather thing in the mail then I contact the station to set up the time and date. The fun thing is that my friends and family at the lake get this station so they can all set their vcrs. I know i get a copy, not sure if it's be online.
Here's the tv station's website www.ktiv.com

Well I better get ready and get to work. Laters

Good Morning!
Well... I shall have to query and follow up on things when I return tonight. -Whenever that turns out to be. Alas, I'm back at the Equity building today with Gypsy, and there's no wireless there, so, I shall be internet-deprived during the daytime today. And after those auditions, it looks like I'm heading around the corner to attend the gypsy run-thru of Legally Blonde. I think. I also got invited to a press night of a friend's show too. However, I'm thinking the best thing for me to do would be to head back here tonight, and get some laundry and cleaning and sorting of mail done. We shall see. Until tonight...
Laters...

I didn't report about yesterday. We also had a wonderful time. The fried chicken was great. I haven't had FC (not Foundation Center) for a long time and this was delish! The Red Velvet Cake was not only delish but beautiful. VixMom, Skip has a picture of the cake, perhaps he can send it to you.
We returned home, I took a nap and then rode the stationary bike for 90 minutes in preparation for our trip to Florida in May. No, we are not biking down, but if I'm going to Floriday in the middle of may and wearing shorts and a bathing suit, I will make sure my midriff is not the main thing you see when you look at me. We have been very good for the last month and a half. We eat much more healthily (is that word???) I ride every day and Ant does his workout. Though it doesn't look like I need to, I have lost almost 15 pound (from 135 to almost 120). I'm back to my college weight from some 30 years ago. Now, I also have to see how much (if any) my cholesterol has gone down. That's part of it also. I need to get that C word down to a managable level. I will have a physical soon and see how well exercise and diet are working to clean out my bloodstream.
-
Oh, yes! Congrats to Cill on the television debut. First New York and your Broadway stage debut and now television. Soon you'll have a spot on Court TV and you can displace Miss Nancy Grace.

**DR JANE**
This recipe appears to be almost identical to yours, and includes the directions:
Black Bottom Cupcakes I
Chocolate cream cheese cupcakes, rich and gooey. Serve these little gems with a tall glass of ice cold milk.
Original recipe yield:
2 dozen cupcakes
PREP TIME 30 Min
COOK TIME 30 Min
READY IN 1 Hr
INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/3 cup white sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line muffin tins with paper cups or lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt until light and fluffy. Stir in the chocolate chips and set aside.

TOD:
I much prefer anything dark chocolate to milk or white chocolate.
My problem is will power: I have none. Once I start eating chocolate, I can't stop. So I almost never allow myself to have any. :(
-
Good morning, all! Another night of lousy sleep, and I think it's the meds. Oy!
So, today I work at home on a report about critical editions, do some laundry, run a few errands, tidy up the dump, and pack for what I hope will be my last trek to Ohio for some time.
DR Rodzinski, nice interview. I saw Mr Crofoot two or three times in BARNUM, Mr Holgate in the original cast of 1776 (as well as in LEND ME A TENOR and the KISS ME, KATE revival), and I worked with Andre in 2004 for the Chicago Humanities Festival). He's a wonderful gentleman, and I'm quite fond of him. Our DR WFO went to school with Andre, and I saw him several times in the original AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' and once in a dreadful version of JUST SO. I believe John Simon's review said "Just So is Just Awful." Andre wore some feathered headdress and looked like Eartha Kitt, and Jason Graae was also in it. JUST SO stank.
TOD:
Mathilde Pincus, the doyenne of music copyists was the lady who perfected the technique of contemporary Broadway music copying in New York in the early 1950s. She was also a wonderful earth mother to all the writers she worked with: Jonathan Tunick, Steve Sondheim, John Kander, etc. Everyone loved her, and with the excetion of one short, fat egocentric "conductor" of dubious ability, she loved everyone she worked for. Whenever I went to Mathilde's, I always stopped in the corner drugstore and brought her a bag of Hershey Kisses, since a large jar of them sat on her desk. She once tld me that her writers would send her expensive chocolates but she preferred Hershey Kisses.
I loves me my Godivas, but whenever I have a piece of a Hershey bar or a kiss, I remember Mathilde and what a great lady she was.

DR Laura, I love your new photographic direction! Though I also enjoyed the continuation of your ceiling phase, I think Door Knobs of Vegas definitely has the makings of a coffee table book.

DR Laura, thanks for posting the Veags photos. Reminded me that I've got to get back there - it's been too long.
-
Spoo, did I misspell Veags earlier?

Did vixmom really want a picture of the red velvet cake? (The pre-cutting photo won't show any of the "red velvet." :) )
The photo of the fried chicken, however, is scrumptious, IMHO. Brings back fond memories of, well, yesterday.

It's Passover tonight, and the charoses represents the mortar used for the pyramids, or soemthing like that.

TOD:
Since I had been diagnosed with diabetes back in November (coupled with the heart attack) my chocolate consumption has been near nil. On the plus side, the three or four pieces that I have eaten since have been very, very good chocolate as opposed to the junk chocolate that I used to wolf down, like Kit Kats, Whatchamacallits, Butterfingers and anything Reeses. Chocolates that I would now prefer are pieces like Godiva cream truffles (especially with peanut butter) and See's caramels.
At the same time, I remember smacking my lips the time that DR Jose mentioned the orange cream M&Ms available at the M&M Store--they sound delicious! And I heard someone here in the office last week talk about chocolate covered jelly beans. I have not had any of those since I was a youngen when I was lucky to get a small handful in my Easter basket.
-
Monday morning greetings! Today's my day off - I have pre-Easter errands to do and a basketball game to watch tonight. Yeah, yeah, I'll be for Ohio State ::)
TOD - My DH once told a waiter that my name was Mrs Chocolate. I especially like Hershey's Special Dark and the chunks of chocolate in Graeter's chip flavor ice creams. Actually, there's very little chocolate I don't like!
-
IIRC VixMom mentioned yesterday that she took food pictures but forgot to take a picture of the cake. I don't know if she wants a picture but she did mention forgetting to snap the shot.
-
the charoses represents the mortar used for the pyramids, or something like that.
Yep. I don't understand bk's aversion to it. I mean, it's made with apples and spices, and some use wine...what's not to like? :)
-
Yes, good Charoses is a compliment to a seder meal.
-
Heard at a particularly tense Passover meal at DF Ellen Schwartz's house:
Her son piped up and said "Would someone please pass the neurosis?"
-
Good morning!
It's overcast here but heading into the 80s for highs. But it's only going to stay there a day or two and then head back down to more normal temps for the end of the week and weekend. Spring as usual here in NC!
-
It being Passover and all, I will restate my annual lament that Elizabeth Swados' THE HAGGADAH was never recorded.
-
I'm not much a fan of white chocolate, but anything else is pretty much fair game for me. I have a REAL chocolate addiction and have to watch closely or I could get in real trouble health-wise (and weight wise).
And I'm not a purist. I love expensive chocolates, but I can be just as happy with a Hershey bar though I know others who find it waxy chocolate and can't stomach it. No problems for me.
I've told this story here before, but since chocolate IS the topic of the day. A friend of mine visited China a few years ago, and he brought me back some Chinese chocolate. Absolutely the WORST thing I have ever tasted in my life.
-
I am glad you all enjoyed my Las Vegas photos. My son thinks I'm weird for snapping photos of such things.
Singdaw and other fairly new members of this site, this line of photography began once when DR Sandra and I went up to Las Vegas to see Forever Plaid at the Gold Coast. We do not drink, gamble, or otherwise sin in Vegas, so we needed to find something to do to kill an entire day. We have always loved casino carpets (as we love all things tacky), so we decided to snap photos of as many casino carpets as we could in a day. And what could we do with such a delicious bunch of photos? Why, share them with all the lovely folks at HHW. When we had all the carpets, we only had to look up for our inspiration for the next item. When we noticed the parrot doorknobs .....
-
Best friend John's kids are out of school this week, so they'll be joining us on our lunch out today. We'll probably go to a pizza buffet for their benefit. No complaints from me!
-
While in Las Vegas, we went to church. We were lucky to attend church on a day when they were dedicating their brand new PIPE ORGAN and so were able to hear a few pieces of real pipe organ music.
-
I have a question: How can one man, who ate out every meal for four days, poduce SO MANY dirty dishes?
-
Oh -- and APRIL FOOLS!
-
Oh -- and APRIL FOOLS!
Thanks, DR DearReader Laura.
DR Cillaliz and I were most worried!
-
How can one man, who ate out every meal for four days, poduce SO MANY dirty dishes?
Your law of entropy, at work.
-
Oh -- and APRIL FOOLS!
I wasn't fooled (for a change).
-
I'll have THE TUDORS and COLD CASE to watch this afternoon, and then I'll begin the other special features on the Criterion OVERLORD DVD.
The only network show I'm interested in tonight is Fox's '24.'
-
While in Las Vegas, we went to church. We were lucky to attend church on a day when they were dedicating their brand new PIPE ORGAN and so were able to hear a few pieces of real pipe organ music.
Cool! 8)
It is always frustrating trying to educate people as to why an electronic organ [or "appliance", as purists call them] is just not the same. It is better than nothing, if economics dictate, but once you've heard the real thing, it's hard to go back...
-
I am glad to know that DR MattH did not believe for a second that I could have been hauled off to a psych ward.

I am glad to know that DR MattH did not believe for a second that I could have been hauled off to a psych ward.
Yes, bright of me, wasn't it! ::)
-
Thanks for linking that, Ben. And thanks for the kind words, Elmore. Those guys were all cool to talk to and were all such different characters, it was pretty interesting to put together.
-
I wasn't fooled
Now if only DR Edisaurus's recent mishap had also been an April Fool's joke... >:(
-
It CANNOT be overstated how great the fried chicken ΰ la Skip was yesterday. I am a fried chicken freak, and to arrive and see a mountain of it like that was like a dream come true. The pieces were enourmous too. Thanks again Skip and FJL.
-
Congrats to Cillaliz on the weather gig! That is really cool.
Two weeks ago Bowling Green alums were invited to the ABC NY affiliate because the lead sportscaster there is BG grad, so I signed up and got a tour of the WABC studios and stuff. But to actually do the weather, that is fantastic!
-
I wasn't fooled (for a change).
Yeah, I didn't believe that DR Laura went to church in Vegas, either.
-
I am glad to know that DR MattH did not believe for a second that I could have been hauled off to a psych ward.
Oh, that was the April Fool's joke! I don't think I batted an eye when you told that story.
-
Nice photos DR Laura... Interestingly, they dont sell cherry coke here or at least it is not very common.
I don't drink Cherry Coke, although it is sold here.
-
And the word of the day is: CONURBATION!
If you live in a conurbation, it's a good idea to have curtains on all your windows, because you've no idea how many people might be looking in.
-
Laura, Chocolate is a food group all on its own.
have you tried dark chocolate?
I have a Cadbury's Dark Chocolate bar in my desk drawer for emergencies.
-
Now if only DR Edisaurus's recent mishap had also been an April Fool's joke... >:(
Ain't THAT the truth! I don't think I got around to expressing my sorrow about that, DR Edi, but I am truly sorry that happened to you. I've been to NYC dozens of times without anything like that happening. Just a shame!

At some point, I will try to catch up. But I have been busy, and therefor errant and truant.

I finished watched "Lost: Season 2" yesterday afternoon. Most illluminating at this remove (mid-season 3).

As long as you don't lead the grandlads into errancy and truancy. ;)

Well, I guess I'll head downstairs now to get cleaned up for my lunch out.
WBBL.
-
I saw "Happy Feet" yesterday afternoon.
WONderful!
I appreciate DR Jose's concerns about the "dark" parts of the film, but I truly didn't find them any darker than "Bambi" or "The Little Mermaid".
And don't forget....those Grimm fairy tales are far more terrifying in their original forms than the watered-down versions we've been treated to since the Eisenhower era.
I'm thinking that post-WWII concerns were to remove "horror" from the lives of children after almost a decade of a world war.
I think it's high time the little bas...errr..ummm dears got some exposure to the dark side. It might offset their explorations of it in their late teens (i.e. Goths).
-
I'm a bit achey today.
Yesterday, I ended up on cart-wrangling duty for about half my shift. One of our regular weekend wranglers called out, and the other was called away after half his shift on something or other. So out I went, wrangling those carts again. And we were busy, what with Passover, Easter, and general Springiness taking place. It amounted to a lot of carts being wrangled.
I got home, and just laid myself down, semi-napping.
Fletcher, the pinto pony Dalmatian, came in and laid on top of me.
-
;D
Probably only you....and I luvs ya for it!
-
I have a question for those who celebrate Passover. Can you eat olives?
I say you can. I know peas, beans and corn are out.
I tried to look online. There was nothing specific either way. And there were a few Passover recipes that had olives in them. So i'm not sure.
-

I hope der B lets you get some much-needed rest.
It always amazed me that my cats intuited when I was really hurting. They didn't care if I just wasn't "in the mood"...they'd bully me into doing whatever they willed.
But whenever I was down for the count, they really stepped up and empathized.

Holy Doo Doo! A dream come true on three of those titles. I sure hope they did some ultra-resolution on them (if possible).
I have high hopes for a clean, great-sounding "Words and Music" and "Belle of New York."
I'm hoping "The Pirate" is glorious in its color palette.
-
I caught the Saturday 3pm showing of SACCO AND VANZETTI and found it to be a wonderful treatment of the events. The images of these two guys are haunting in their nobility, especially when one knows how things turned out. Highly recommended.
-
I have a question for those who celebrate Passover. Can you eat olives?
Jennifer - I'm certainly no expert, but in my minimal Google research, it appears that there are new Kosher products appearing on the market all the time, and if you can find olives marked "Kosher for Passover" on the label, you're good to go. But most general olive products would probably not be OK.
-
Yesterday DR Jose asked some questions about TAR:
DR Jennifer - Thanks for the rules clarification.
Now... If a team did not complete the FF, would they get another opportunity to complete it? Or would they have to go on to the other tasks?
At first i was not sure what you meant by this. Do you mean if they started it but did not finish it could they do another ff in the future? Or would they be able to keep trying till they got it?
Or since the task last night required counting stairs i wasn't sure if you meant could they just keep guessing.
There are not very many fast forwards in the entire race. For instance in this TAR this has been the first one. And since the teams were intersected (2 teams competing together) it was sort of a stupid place to put it IMO. Since the other groupings were hours behind.
Normally when you have a ff 2 teams can try to go for it at the same time. It can be risky since if you don't get it you lose a lot of time and have to go back and complete all the regular tasks that the other teams have to do. But if you get it then you are basically guaranteed first place.
That is why you saw the beauty queens wonder if the other teams went for the ff (and they assumed correctly they did). Because if you know someone ahead of you went for it you would most likely not try for it.
Anyhow basically what DR Cillaliz wrote it true. If you don't complete the ff then you have to go back and do the regular tasks. But you can still do another ff in the future. But the thing is they are not difficult. So as long as someone doesn't finish it before you there is no reason you wouldn't be able to complete it.
More comments from DR Jose:
Thanks, DR Cillaliz - That's what I thought. It just wasn't specified on the program tonight what would have happened if they had not completed the FF. -So, I'm guessing that means that they only had once "chance" to get it right -
I'm assuming here you mean if they had guessed the wrong number?
I don't think so. I think they would have been able to guess until they got it right. They've never had a task like that before i don't think where you had to guess a number. But i assume it is done like every other task. You guess a number, if it's wrong you go back and try to guess again. As long as nobody else gets it right before you guess again you are goo.

Happy Feet was one of three films der Grampa and I watched with the grandlads on Saturday - he may have mentioned this, I haven't gone back to check.
We first saw it with the grandlads when it was playing in the theaters, and DGL Alex immediately said he wanted it on DVD. So, when it came out on DVD last week, I made a point of our buying it for them. When we finally got the grandlads home after a long day away on Saturday, it immediately went into the DVD player, and the two grandlads were once again entranced.
Is it too dark? I don't think so. Clearly, the grandlads didn't think so.
My one quibble with the DVD is a brief live-action blurb before the film, which puts the over-fishing thread in the story in a spotlight. I can't help thinking this politicizes the story in an unfortunate, sound-bitey manner. I would have been much more comfortable if the filmmakers had instead had included a short educational documentary on the DVD, going into more detail with more facts and ideas.
The "dance lesson" with Savion Glover is a lot of fun.

Otay.
Me, too!
:D
People are going to start wondering what this is about, if we keep deleting. ::)

Jennifer - I'm certainly no expert, but in my minimal Google research, it appears that there are new Kosher products appearing on the market all the time, and if you can find olives marked "Kosher for Passover" on the label, you're good to go. But most general olive products would probably not be OK.
I'm not overly religious. So i'm not going to buy special olives (not even sure if they have those here). But i was just really curious if olives in general were okay.
I have a bunch of special passover things. But things like juice or cream cheese ... i just use the regular stuff.

The first film we say on Saturday was Meet the Robinsons. I thought the film was a lot of fun, rather twisty in how it was set up (like any good time-travel film), with a satisfactory ending.
The gimmick of MtR being presented in digital 3-D wasn't overplayed, thankfully. And the polarized glasses didn't give me a headache. I thought at first that might be a problem, because the short cartoon Working for Peanuts (1953, Donald Duck with Chip and Dale, being shown in theaters for the first time since it's initial release) was a little hard on the eyes. Instead, I think the relatively crude 3-D art in the short was to blame.

I love to sing-a!
About the moon-a
And the June-a
And the spring-a!
I love to sing-a!
-
After a trip to a bookstore and a pizza parlor, we all headed into a different theater to see The Last Mimzy. The grandlads enjoyed it, and it wasn't terribly hard to follow but, it seemed to me, a whole lot of effort with not much "wow" by the end of the story. The Seattle locations were nice.
-
Is June-a Spring-a related to Jerry?
-
Did you notice DR Sandra in the reflection in the NYNY photo? She is drinking a cherry coke.
Well, I should certainly hope so!
I wonder what kind of reaction you would get, DR DearReaderLaura, if you took a series of pictures of Las Vegas Security Cameras!

Comcast trucks driving all around my neighborhood today, and my internet is intermittent how strange. Wonder what someone did?

I received my 3 CD's from Kritzerland today and they look divoon!!!

My cousin gave me a computer for my father. It is an IMac - pretty nifty little doodad....no tower, the guts are in the monitor. Haven't quite figured out how to configure it for the internet yet....but we shall see.
I will probably have to call an expert - I think my niece is a member of the APPLE cult.

Interesting auditions for CINDERELLA yesterday. Some good people, and some not so....
I did think of American Idol when I saw some of them. Most fared worse at the dance section than the singing section.
Additional session this evening, and I am hoping Cousin Brad & Lita get some FUN people, and some MORE guys!!

It being Passover and all, I will restate my annual lament that Elizabeth Swados' THE HAGGADAH was never recorded.

TAR is winding down.
The team that was eliminated last night is one that I liked - sort of. Would rather have seen Mirna and Charla GO....but that's okay.

DR MBARNUM - you will receive a package in about 6 days.

Bye for now!

DR TCB, giving Ms Woodward a run for her money, you changed faces three times last night! I meant to comment earlier but I forgot.
I've done my report, the laundry is in the dryer, and I have a lot of clutter to rearrange.

Almost through with all this detail work - not really adding pages at this point, but replacing the placeholders I'd written.

Thanks, DR DearReader Laura.
DR Cillaliz and I were most worried!
Knowing legal procedures, I wasn't fooled, but I kept waiting for the April Fools post and didn't see it, so I wanted to be sure
-
At church yesterday morning, there was a sign on the palm frond basket saying, "Please take only one frond per person!"
That message got ignored so fast by my mother, it might as well have been written in sanskrit.
-
I guess I better make sure I catch up and watch last night's TAR when I get home tonight before the beans are spilled for me.
-
Congrats to Cillaliz on the weather gig! That is really cool.
Two weeks ago Bowling Green alums were invited to the ABC NY affiliate because the lead sportscaster there is BG grad, so I signed up and got a tour of the WABC studios and stuff. But to actually do the weather, that is fantastic!
Thanks. I had to pay for the honor, but it goes to a good cause and really wasn't that much money. They call it weather person for the day, but it's the noon news. Still, I think it's going to be a real kick. I'm looking forward to it.
-
Cillaliz, I was thinking your weather person gig was an April Fool's joke.
Congratulations! It will be fun.

Yes, it's usually a 48 hour hold and eval. So you were close, but there is usually a hearing and I didn't think there was a weekday involved when it would have happened

Hi everyone - with Holy Week and Easter approaching, haven't had a lot of time to post. Here's a quick diet update - The DP and I veered off the strictness of what is the "Extreme Body Make-Over" food allowances when we realized that this diet doesn't work for people who RESPECT food. So, we added in a little salt and a little fat and such, and are keeping the portions down and being very conscious of what we eat. I've sort of reverted back to the Atkins plan, but not totatlly as carbs are an important part of ones health. We've still been excercising and I've been walking 3-4 times a week. Clothes fit better now and we feel 100% better. It's obvious we've both dropped some weight. Life is good!

It stars Michael Cerveris as Kurt Weill and Donna Murphy as Lotte Lenya. Harold Prince is directing and Alfred Uhry wrote the book.
I'm seeing the first preview.

RE: last night's TAR.
SPOILERS

*
I was happy with the team that got eliminated. I did not care for them. But i was annoyed by a few things.
1.them placing a fast forward right at the intersection (knowing the next teams were 4 hours back). It sort of made it pointless to me since only those first 2 teams could go for it.
2.them having the intersection when the other bus was 4 hours back. Maybe it bugged me more because it screwed over my favorite team, but i just thought it was stupid.
3.even though i don't care for the guidos i thought it was quite unfair that they did not really give them a chance to overcome their 30 minute penalty. Usually there is a reasonable chance that a team can stay in the game. But here they had to intersect and wait for a slower team. And then they simply had to walk a horse in armor. It really didn't give them any chance to stay.
4.I get that bunching must be done so that we don't have teams days in front of other teams. But it annoyed me that the blondes were 12++ hours ahead and had to wait a full 12 hours to board a bus. ANd couple that with the intersection thing had be sort of annoyed.
5. Charla and mirna are the funniest thing i have ever seen. When mirna was yelling at that taxi driver in her fake accent i was literally rolling on my couch. "Oh sir, what do you think i am a rich woman". I really disliked these two at the beginning of the season. ANd while i still think they are not very talented at this game, i must say i loved them last night. Not to win or anything. But just to watch. OMG they are funny.

I think it's high time the little bas...errr..ummm dears got some exposure to the dark side. It might offset their explorations of it in their late teens (i.e. Goths).
Interesting thought, DR RON. I hadn't thought of the Goth angle. I often think that we make life seem too rosy for kids. Of course we don't want to expose them to all the horrors too young, but IMHO it's better to be realistic and prepare them.
-
It is always frustrating trying to educate people as to why an electronic organ [or "appliance", as purists call them] is just not the same. It is better than nothing, if economics dictate, but once you've heard the real thing, it's hard to go back...
It's not "hearing" a pipe organ that's the thrill, it's "feeling" the music that's very special!

Hello, all!
How very rude of me to be so E&T after such a splendid Sunday. I am so grateful to everyone who welcomed us to NY, came to see our film, cooked for us, brought us yummy treats and especially DR singdaw, who sent the most beautiful flowers. I thought of them when we were at The Drowsy Chaperone, and regretted not having photographed them. They were SO beautiful...white hydranges and blood red roses in a blood red vase. (A subliminal communist reference?) They reminded me of the fairy tale of Snow White and Rose Red. I actually teared up when I saw them, I was so touched by singdaw's gesture.
OK...gotta work some and will be back with more thanks...
-
Really enjoyed THE TUDORS. Sumptuously produced and with an eye-blinking cast of really classy actors. How great to see Jeremy Northam and Sam Neill as Thomas More and Cardinal Woolsey! Great lusty drama that promises to get better and better. I just hope they slow down and don't feel compelled to fly too quickly through the various wives.
And be still my beating heart - Steven Waddington as the Duke of Buckingham! My god, does he ever look fabulous! Hadn't seen him in anything in years, and like Kevin McKidd and James Purefoy in ROME, he's really bulked up on muscle in the years since I've seen him.
-
Interesting thought, DR RON. I hadn't thought of the Goth angle. I often think that we make life seem too rosy for kids. Of course we don't want to expose them to all the horrors too young, but IMHO it's better to be realistic and prepare them.
I can also point to those "American Idol" auditions...thousands of kids with huge dreams predicated on their absolute convictions that they can sing.
And why do they think that? I'm certain they've been told over and over there is NOTHING they cannot achieve if they want it enough.
That, IMO, is great up to a point. But a silk purse was never fabricated from a sow's ear.
I'm absolutely appalled at the parents/friends who encourage their presumed "loved ones" to make fools of themselves. Or, are the parents/friends clueless as well?

Clever, bk. Very clever.

I've written six pages so far, plus all the fixes and additions, so that's a nice day's work. I may try to do two more pages later.
But the best news is that when I was in the shower, where I get my best ideas, all the loose details I knew I was going to have to deal with for the end of the book, all came to me in one fell swoop.
-
Congratulations, DR Matthew and DP for sticking to your plan, more or less. We all know it ain't easy. Keep it up! :)
-
Bravo, FJL, on your earlier frenzy derring-do. Loved the Pacific Overtures.

Me too - mailed in CA on Saturday delivered in Delaware on Monday.
What do you call an EMerchant who charges you $5.00 for postage, then spends $8.60 to mail the box?

I really enjoyed your "Leading Men" column, DR Rodzinski. Some of my favorites interviewed in this installment.

Singdaw thank you for the recipe. I was too impatient to wait for the Two Minute Haggadah: A Passover service for the impatient to open.
-
Cilla-First you were on stage as part of a play, now you will be the weather girl. Do you have fun or what. :D

I think I will now watch CROMWELL.

Yes, good Charoses is a compliment to a seder meal.
It is the best part, but alas I won't be having any this year-no Seder, no special foods.
-
Thanks Matt H and Singdaw. Singdaw, I think I was away when you appeared, so I want to say an official Rodzinski HHW welcome to you.

Jennifer, Im really bad and eat regular matzos. I find the Passover stuff too dry so a few years back I stopped purchasing it.

Ate a little lunch, and wrote another half-page.

I got a price for a pet transportation to collect Craig & his dog at JFK nd drive them to Pittsburgh. It is less expensive for me to fly out there & rent a car. Of course a hotel for 2 nights in NY could change that.
I have one major problem, I cant drive the 6-7 hours from JFK to Pittsburgh. An hour is a long time for me, three hours is about the limit of my endurance. With company I could maybe make 4 hours, maybe.
-
DR EDISAURUS do you have a copy of the play THE ADVOCATE by Robert Noah about S/V?
No! Peter probably does, but I am woefully lacking in the S&V department, I only have about a dozen books on the guys.

TOD: White chocolate
Dark Chocolate
Milk Chocolate
I scream for all chocolate!
Albeit blasphemous amongst you See's and Godiva lovers -- I'll take Hersey's over any of the fancy smancy ones -- just a plain ol' kiss or minature bar...ymmmm ....Mars ain't bad either with those M&Ms, especially just out of the frig...Kit Kats...Snickers... Babe Ruth bars...Hot fudge sundaes...Death By Chocolate (that pudding, cake and whipped cream concoction)....
That's exactly how I feel, too! I have to admit that I really haven't liked many of the so-called "high quality" chocolates that everyone ooos and ahhhs about. Pretentious crap, if you ask me. ;)
-
Back to brunch---Fred and Skip made me feel so at home, as did Toby and Dylan. The smell of fried chicken greeted us and we knew great things were in store.
I have to mention that, having lived in the south most of my life, I know from fried chicken, and this was the most delicious! It was tasty, moist and beautiful to behold. (I learned that Skip's secret is that he "brines" the chicken first.) I have never brined anything in my life. (Except myself, when swimming in the ocean.) I am now inspired.
And the red velvet cake was deluxe---I hope a picture will be posted. It was deluxe because it included fresh berries. I'm glad that DR Jose was able to share in the feast belatedly, although I was sorry to miss him.
-
Vixmom brought us all Girl Scout cookies in very stylish gift bags, including DH Greg's favorite thin mints. I love them, too, but I have learned to keep my mitts off them and save them for him. (He likes to put them in the freezer.)
It was spooky how much Vixmom reminded us both of a friend of mine in LA---they even both have daughters interested in theatre and singing. Different accent, though!
-
A cool Autumnal day here. Almost cold enough for snow falling on seders.
(Of course Passover and Easter are in early October here in the land that celebrates Christmas in July).
-
Now, about Ben's comments regarding getting in shape for the beach...I don't know how he could be any more trim and fit-looking. It was great to meet him in person after hearing his melodious voice over the airwaves of Wales.
And it was so cool of him to come to our screening and to bring his adorable Ant!
-
I felt like I bonded instantly with Anthony, even though I knew very little aobut him. After seeing THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, I could easily envision him playing one of the patry chef/gangsters.
We both absolutely loved the show, BTW. I purposefully avoided reading about it, and although I bought the OCR, I didn't have time to listen to it before we went, so everything was a delightful surprise!

We had a debate at brunch about the correct pronunciation of Kritzerland. I had always thought of it with a long I but most of the veterans pronounced it with a short i, rhyming with Switzerland, so I defer to those in the know and have adopted the official national pronunciation.
-
We also drank plenty of Diet Coke, the official drink of Kritzerland.
-
The vixter was adorable and kept Toby and Dylan on their toes...for treats!
-
Elmore was the life of the party and had so many great stories to tell about folks he knows in the theatre. I was so glad to meet him because he was one of my first friends at HHW. I am in awe of his vast knowledge of musical theatre and music in general!

Just heard on a TV commercial:

I found out more about the wallet theft today. Apparently, the thief tried to charge $600.00 (it was an even dollar amount, which seems kind of weird) at Macy's at 9:21. This transaction did not go through. At 9:24, they charge $10 to Hertz rent-a-car in Oklahoma ( that might just be where the corporate office is) and then repeated the $600 one and it did go through.
I was trying to find out what department the thief was in so that Macy's could check their surveillance tape. The detective on the case called me yesterday and said it would be easier for them if I did this because they would have to get a subpoena to access the information. Unfortunately, VISA couldn't tell me what was purchased there. (AMEX can usually tell you, but they didn't use my AMEX card.)
I imagine that my wallet is in a trashcan in Macy's or ditched somewhere on the way there. Ihaven't told either of my parents about the loss of my talismans.
-
...and have adopted the official national pronunciation.
Since when did folks in Georgia worry their little ole heads about "national pronounciation"? Bless their hearts!

And thanks to the HHWers and our other friends who came to screenings or bought tickets over the weekend...

But the only bad thing that happened was that when we emerged all giddy from the DROWSY CHAPERONE, I got a call from my step-mother telling me that my dad had a sinking spell and his blood pressure plumetted. Fortunately, they were at the pharmacy at the VA hospital so he was able to get care quickly.
We raced uptown to get our bags, hoping to get an earlier flight but we didn't make it in time, so we stuck to our original flight since Dad was in stable condition. That put us home at 1:30 AM. My producers had already given me the green light to come in at 9:30, so it sure was nice to finally get a good night's sleep, short as it was, in our own comfy bed.
So now I'm about to finish up and head to the VA, which is only a few miles from work.

Well, I wanted to wish a very good afternoon to all of the assembled and sun-dried lovelies, studlies, vixens, waifs, and lumberjacks here at the old Living Room . I've been really swamped with trying to stay caught up on both paperwork, and also ongoing projects.
I made a real push this past weekend and finally just about finished the new "theatre wall" that I've been creating at my house.
Here is a picture that was taken about 2 weeks ago, after all of the structural and support work had been finished, and the wall had gotten painted in its new color of "deep cherrywood."
-
DR MusicGuy - Deep Cherrywood is most fetching...

Yes, DR Jane I have fun. I decided a long time ago that there is no reason not to have fun, try new things and enjoy life. Especially when it doesn't involve anything that is harmful to anyone....well I guess if I screwed up the weather forecast and a tornado was coming someone could get hurt, but that's why the professionals are there as back-up. ;D

You see, if you put unsweetened fruit instead of chocolate on ice cream, that makes the ice cream a serving of dairy product instead of a dessert.

But, DR Laura, did you not have an incident last month that no one would have expected?

DR Jane, I just did a quote at work a few days ago to transport an assignee's dog from Japan to the US. It's going to run his company about $3,500.00.
That is less than my quotes from Bucharest to NY. Craig will spend a fraction of that traveling with his dog & taking care of everything himself. Now, if only he had a drivers license for the remainder of the trip.
-
But, DR Laura, did you not have an incident last month that no one would have expected?
Yes, I did. And you would have thought that was an April Fools joke too. And so would I.
-
MusicGuy the deep cherry wood is very rich. The wall looks great.
-
DR JoseSPiano, it really was QUITE noble of you to sacrifice yourself, traipsing all the way to DR JFL and DH Skip's, to eat that last bit of red velvet cake...all so that they wouldn't have any leavened products in their home come sundown tonight...
-
As for the Topic of the Day...
I prefer Dark Chocolate, but semi-sweet and milk are good too. I like White Chocolate, but mainly as a coating and not on it's own - come on, it just cocoa butter and sugar, you could use it as a moisturizer/scrub.
As for brands... I've grown very fond of some of the boutique brands here in NYC and elsewhere: Chocolate Bar (which just introduced a new line of chocolate bars this week), Li-Lac Chocolates, Jacques Torres, Teuscher, RichArt, etc., etc., etc. -Oh, and Max Brenner Chocolates by the Bald Man has a great "praline" with Corn Flakes and Black Pepper. Try it, you'll love it!
I like Godiva, but I don't love it. However, a former Godiva boutique manager tipped off to the "Belgian stuff", which comes into this country every couple of months. It's the same varieties of Godivas, but they're made in Belgium. Consequently, they're made with better milk, slightly less sugar, and higher quality nuts and fruits. She provided a side by side tasting of the "regular" and the "Belgian stuff", and the flavor differences were very noticeable. I'm not sure if the "Belgian stuff" still exists after the latest overhaul of Godiva's line, but it may be worth inquiring about.
And, I've mentioned before, but... When I came back from Australia, I had one carry-on with 17 pounds of Australian chocolate in it: Cadbury, Freddo Frogs, Rocklea Road, Crunchies, Violet Crumbles, TimTams... even some organic Tasmanian stuff. Soooooo good.
-
Well....
LOL. Biggest laugh I've had today. (And it's been quite a strange day.) thanks!
-
That is less than my quotes from Bucharest to NY. Craig will spend a fraction of that traveling with his dog & taking care of everything himself. Now, if only he had a drivers license for the remainder of the trip.
Does Craig have an international driver's license?

I am nothing if not Noble.
-Although, I'm sure DR elmore might describe me in other terms.
-
DR Jane - Have you looked into taking Amtrak from NYC to Pittsburgh?
-
Will someone post the YouTube link again? :)
-
And as for Passover/Pesach...
When I was in grade school, the school would hold a Passover Seder. And I went to a Catholic grade school. The first year it was held, my mom was in charge of making the haroset. There was no wine in it, but the apples and other ingredients were quite the tasty mixture. So much so, that my mom used to make it on a regular basis.
-
DR DearReaderLaura - So... Even though you were not detained, were you "advised" not to take any more pictures of the ceilings by hotel security? Heck, even in DC right now, some security guards are instructed to "advise" tourists from taking pictures of various government buildings.
*And I also wonder about the "No Camera" signs on the George Washington Bridge.
-
Will someone post the YouTube link again? :)
The HHW Brunch Webcam (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qwirWWnzJKM)
-
And speaking of ice cream...
While shopping the other day, I noticed that Haagen-Dazs has a new line of ice cream. The Pomegranate Chip is pretty tasty!
*And full of antioxidants too! ;)
-
And speaking of lunch...
I headed across the street from the Equity building to John's Shanghai for lunch today. And I have to say it was one of the tastiest Chinese food meals I've had in a while. And everything seemed really fresh today too. For my entree, I ordered their "Crispy Tofu". I've had it there before, but it was never as good as it was today. Perfectly fried, no oil dripping off the cubes of tofu onto the plate. And they were fried perfectly - just enough of a crust which yielded to a silky core of soft tofu. And the sauce was good too - sort of like a duck sauce, but not as cloying. YUM!

And as for the auditions today...
They went well, although, surprisingly, the turnout was rather light. We were running ahead all morning, and we finished about a half hour early this afternoon. We even ended up with two 20-minute breaks during the day since no one was coming in and signing up. We weren't "dead", but for an open call for a full-$cale production, it was surprisingly light. Heck, we even ended up seeing all the non-Equity folks who had signed for slots. And that usually never happens. In any case...
I did run into DR Ben's Ever Lovin' Ant in the waiting area. :)

Does Craig have an international driver's license?
He said he needs his original driver's license, the one that was stolen, in order to get one.

DR Jane - Have you looked into taking Amtrak from NYC to Pittsburgh?
Amtrak doesn't permit dogs, especially big crazy ones. ;D

...And there was one woman who brought in a sort of obscure Gershwin song. First she wanted it transposed down a couple of steps. Thankfully, she had written in the "new" chords. OK. Then she gave me her tempo and style indication, "It goes like this...." OK. Then it came time to start. Not OK.
I hit the first chord. She looked at me. I looked back at her. "It goes like this...." -She then proceeded to hum the into she wanted. And she came over to the piano. Well, that was all very well and good, but...
-I'm sorry, but there's no intro printed here, so that's why I'm not playing one. (And I made sure to point to where she wanted me to start - which did not include an "intro".)
"Oh, I'm sorry."
And then it just went from there. And, of course, half the chords that she had scribbled in for the transposition were not correct. What can you do?
-
He said he needs his original driver's license, the one that was stolen, in order to get one.
Ah. Well, since most DMVs are online now... Can he secure one that way?

DR Jrand - As for your new Mac and the internet... Are you using dial-up or ethernet (DSL or cable)? If you're using dial-up, you "simply" have to "officially"recognize the modem via the Internet Connect settings.
However, if you're using an ethernet connection... If you've just been plugging the ethernet cable from one computer to another, then you will have an issue since most service providers only allow you to connect to one computer (via a unique IP address) at a time - unless you have a router to split the signal. However, there is a work around for this...
Just plug the ethernet cable into the new computer. Then turn off the computer. Then unplug the ethernet cable from the wall for a few seconds, the reconnect it. Then turn off your cable modem for a few seconds - the easiest way to do this is just to disconnect the A/C adapter cord - then turn it back on. Then turn on the computer. This should essentially reset your connection, and your ethernet connection should automatically be recognized by your new computer. Just open Safari to check to see if it is connected.
If this doesn't work, just give Apple a call. Some very helpful folks at AppleCare.
-
Ah. Well, since most DMVs are online now... Can he secure one that way?
I have been saying the same thing to him for a year now. My son the procrastinator (just like his mother :-[). It really didn't matter before since he had no intention of ever driving in Romania again, once was more than enough!
I think I will go on-line & see if I can verify the rules for an international license.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW HHW WEATHER GIRL, CILLALIZ!!

TOD:
Well, I was raised on See's candy. It was present at every family gathering, so it's in my blood. I can no longer eat most chep chocolate--makes me feel a bit sick--but I do love the expensive stuff. Not Godiva, though. Trader Joe's sells excellent Belgian chocolate, which I learned today that they are now having trouble getting from their distributor. No wonder I had a difficult day.
My preference is for milk chocolate. I do like white chocolate on occasion. I LOVE German Chocolate Cake ice cream. (Swenson's used to make it, don't know if they still do.)
And then there was that little pensione in Italy that sold the hot chocolate which was like liquid fudge (which I've mentioned here before.) One day I shall have to try Starbuck's hot chocolate.
-
Oh, and yes, I eat more chocolate than I should. I get addicted to it easily. If I get off it for a few weeks I don't miss it. But once I start eating it again, well, I'm hooked.
-
Craig is correct he needs his license to get an international one, they work in tandem.
I keep pestering him with license questions. I just sent one asking if he could get a Romanian license in time.
I have no problem going to New York. ;) Just the long drive & leaving Keith again to deal with Sherlock alone, it is depressing enough with both of us here.
-
Jose, can these folks see each other's auditions?
Hopefully, other folks will learn NOT to bring in obscure songs with homemade transpositions.
-
Thanks for linking that, Ben. And thanks for the kind words, Elmore. Those guys were all cool to talk to and were all such different characters, it was pretty interesting to put together.
Yes, congratulations, Tom. Another great interview. I loved everything about the Broadway production of BARNUM (except possibly Glenn Close's singing); and Mr. Crofoot's number was indeed a knockout.

Thanks to todays topic I about finished our Sees mini, foil wrapped Easter eggs, a mix of dark & milk chocolates.
When we lived in Michigan there was a local gourmet food & wine shop that began selling a small selection of Sees candy. One day I stopped in and the manager was thrilled I had done so. He ran & got the Sees Easter catalogue for me so I could advise him on his order. I was so honored.

You may call me, Eve.
Eve. Eve the Golden Girl, the Cover Girl, the Girl Next Door, the Girl on the Moon. Time has been good to Eve. Life goes where she goes. She's been profiled, covered, revealed, reported. What she eats and what she wears and whom she knows and where she was, and when and where she's going. Eve. You all know All About Eve. What can there be to know that you don't know?
Eve would ask Abbott to give her Costello
The minor awards, as you can see, have already been presented. Minor awards are for such as the writer and director [playwright Lloyd Richards and director Bill Sampson are briefly viewed] since their function is merely to construct a tower so that the world can applaud a light which flashes on top of it. And no brighter light has ever dazzled the eye than Eve Harrington. Eve. But more of Eve later, all about Eve, in fact.

I would assume that regular vs. cider vinegar is just personal taste...and probably won't make much (if any) difference in this kind of recipe. Otherwise, I'm sure that the cocoa should be 1/4 cup. :)

I got a price for a pet transportation to collect Craig & his dog at JFK nd drive them to Pittsburgh. It is less expensive for me to fly out there & rent a car. Of course a hotel for 2 nights in NY could change that.

So DR Cillaliz, who are you rooting for on DANCING WITH THE STARS?
I really like Apolo and Julianne. And my least favorites are clyde and john.
I think joey is also very good. As is laila.
And i am very impressed with heather and billy ray. I think billy ray in many ways has it quite hard because he seems like he does not have the natural talent of some of the others. But i love karina and i hope she can keep it up with him. I thought he did well tonight.

Right now, I like Apolo, Laila, Joey and Ian. I'm also impressed with Heather. I wasn't ready to like her as much as I do or for her to be such a good dancer. I give Billy Ray more brownie points than I did at first, but he's still a wait and see for me. Clyde will be around for awhile, fan base. John was kind of fun to watch. If he'd loosen up a little I'd like him better.

DANCING WITH THE STARS
SPOILERS
*
*
*
I am sort of annoyed that samantha tried to mislead people by telling them that my 2 least favorites (clyde and john) were in trouble and needed the public's votes.
They (the lowest) are not in more trouble really than any other team. And especially if they only have 1 or 2 votes less.
I wish they would explain on the show how the actual voting works.
I bet if you polled the people watching every single person would say that they think the judges votes count for 50% of the votes.
(end of rant and time for bed).
-

Hmm we actually sort of agree. Although i'm not sure if i will vote for laila or ian. But they are pretty decent.
I also wasn't expecting to be as impressed with heather as i have been. I've heard lots about her but never actually knew he personality. She seems quite lovely. And I can't believe how good she has been with so little practice.
There was actually an article about her this week saying she had bad back problems and was only able to practice very little. I wonder if her 9 hours was the total, or just her doing the routine full out.
Even though billy ray is not great i really like him and karina. He's more entertaining to me to watch than many of the others. And he is doing as well as he can with his capabilites. So that is really the best he can do. People like joey and apolo have a much easier time. They are so much better to start with.
I enjoy seeing people who are less talented really shine.

YUM!
I thought you said you had a good lunch?

I've looked at Playbill.com for tour info. I guess I was hoping to see what the next season would bring our way. Thanks.

I began my evening of entertainment watching the last special feature on the OVERLORD DVD set - director Stuart Cooper's short film on Spanish artist Juan Genoves. Well, a lot of presenters are still finalizing their tour stops for next season. And with the demise of Baci Management, a lot of venues are scrambling to fill holes in their schedule.
I'd say just check the website for the major performance halls in your town. That would probably be the easiest thing to do.

Since I got HAPPY FEET on Blu-ray disc in the mail today, I watched that tonight. It's a very enjoyable movie, a little long for the story it's telling, but I didn't see it being any darker than any popular cartoon film I've seen in the last 15 or 20 years.
I have to say, however, that as astounding as the movie looked on Blu-ray, by seeing this movie, I now have seen all three films nominated for the Best Animated Film Oscar, and I would have cast my vote for CARS. I thought the animation was more dazzling, and I got more involved with the story. However, I understand why it didn't win. NASCAR offshoots just aren't everyone's cup of tea.
-
Hope you feel better, DR Swishy.

All the healing vibes are working, I'm certain. Thank you, all DR's!
We moved my father from ICU to a regular room. His mind is kind of confused. On the way on the gurney, he was apologizing to me about how his body is giving out. Then he started talking about how soon things would be over and that he knew the end was near. I was trying not to cry. Then he continued talking and I realized that he was talking about the FINAL FOUR!

He was concerned that he wouldn't get to watch the game because he had already made arrangements in the ICU to watch with one of the nurses who was a Florida alum and was afraid he'd have a roommate who didn't like basketball. (My Dad went to OSU.)
We got to the room and his roommates were 3 African American vets---I asked if they were watching the game. "Hell, yeah"!
So we were good to go! I watched the pre-game stuff until they kicked me out.

I had about six minutes before '24' came on so I flipped over to see what was happening on DANCING WITH THE STARS.
First, congratulations, ABC, for broadcasting the show in high definition! Other than AMERICAN IDOL, most reality shows don't bother to do that, so it shows the network has a reality program it's proud of.
I happened to see Joey Fatone's routine. Though he certainly seemed to know what he was doing in the number, I found him kind of heavy footed and not very dynamic. But there were no mistakes that I could see, and it did hold my interest. I didn't see whether the judges liked it or not. '24' was just about to start.

Odd experience on the NJ Transit bus coming back from the seder in Cranford NJ tonight. Thanks, Vixmom. I'm actually feeling healthier now than I did before.
-
We brought the cookies home with us, incuding Jose's.
And since Greg doesn't like raisins, and I do...

I do have to say that Rodzinski and T-Punk were both very cute and it was fun to talk to him about his days in Atlanta and at UGA.
I forgot to find out from T-Punk which kitty was having the digestive problems? Was it your little chubster cow-cat?
Yes it is Walty, or "Tubs" as I like to call him.

~~~~~~~Vibes to Walty, from one cow cat to another!~~~~~~~~
-
Yes, congratulations, Tom. Another great interview. I loved everything about the Broadway production of BARNUM (except possibly Glenn Close's singing); and Mr. Crofoot's number was indeed a knockout.
Thanks Tom! He was so nice and pleased to be on that CD that he thanked me as if I had chosen him for the CD myself.
I have to say hello to Tomovoz whom I miss terribly!
-
For that I'll send you a CD. LOL. Thanks Tom.
-
So many posts to catch up on...whew...but now it is time to go to bed. Dog Bosco and Freddy are already asleep (one of them is curled up in my lap as I type this)....
-
For that I'll send you a CD. LOL. Thanks Tom.
Wow, that was easy! ;D
I was enjoying the Art-themed one you gave me when you were out here. And I found a great song for if you ever do a Volume II of the chauvinistic-themed batch.
-
...but before I hit the hay...
Vibes for Edisaurus' dad! Glad he is doing better...and I hope his team won!
Vibes for DR Elmore on his trip to Ohio...
And vibes for cat Walty alias Tubs for his digestive troubles and for whichever human is having to clean up after him! Please don't tell me that Killbot is doing it!
-
And Mr. Nondorf, someone in Oregon is still waiting for the promised CD compilations from two years ago...I will bet that stack of carefully chose CDs are still in the cat's room!
-
CDs ready for posting in the morning Rodzinski. Only you would "appreciate" them but I suspect one will earn you a fortune on ebay if you wish to make multiple copies!
-
Rodzinski, when are you going to interview Tom Wopat? He is still a leading many type, isn't he? (He could certainly lead me into all sorts of things!)
-
Okay, I'm senile and haven't written it down yet - when does edisaurus get in and when is the screening, so I can write it in my book and we can all plan to go and then sup?
-
Health vibes to DR Edisaurus' father....
-
Congrats Edisaurus for being held over for another week....
-
Thanks to todays topic I about finished our Sees mini, foil wrapped Easter eggs, a mix of dark & milk chocolates.
I will have to hunt around sometime to see if anyplace here has See's. I have never tried them and now I am intrigued since so many of you have mentioned them.
-
Feel better vibes for SwishySarah..
