Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like egg rolls, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently looking for Mr. Goldstone and his egg rolls.

Good morning, all! My alarm rang at 6:30, and I moving. Slowly, but I'm moving. This morning at some point after 8:30 I have workmen arriving to repair and plaster a crumbling wall. I have no idea how long their work will take or what kind of a mess I'll be cleaning up after they leave, so my errands are a bit cramped today.
I hope to get some notes written on THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER abd it would be nice to finish up the FANTASTICKS job today as well. We'll see.
DR cillaliz, I'm getting old: the one show I want to see is SOUTH PACIFIC!
-
Larry - Don't you know anyone in SOUTH PACIFIC who could get you a house seat? :)
(BTW, Skip saw SOUTH PACIFIC last week and absolutely loved it! But decent seats seem very hard to come by.)
-
Re the word of the day: I don't believe it no Zina-phobia. I'm a Zina-phile, which means adoration of Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler.
Even if they do charge almost $40 for their songbook, which seems to annoy some people on another chat board. :)
-

Danny Burstein!
-
I've been checking online for SOUTH PACIFIC and there seem to be seats in the 100's and 500's (the side sections) and in the dreaded :) Beaumont loge, almost nothing in the center sections 200's, 300's and 400's until June. Based on what I've heard form Skip and many others, after the show opens and the reviews come out, seats are bound to be even more scarce. I see on broadwaybox (which I gather is legal scalping), even indecent seats are going at outrageous prices. Who would have imagined this for SOUTH PACIFIC? (How great for Danny Burstein, going from one success right into another!)
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And, yes, I'm up.
???
-
As for the Topic of the Day...
Davy Jones on "The Brady Bunch". ;)
I'll never wash this cheek again.
-
Hmm... Well, I just double-checked the locations for the auditions I'm playing today, tomorrow and Wednesday. It seems that my e-mail confirmation from the office says I'm at one place tomorrow and Wednesday, while the official casting notice from Equity says something else. Hmm... ???

In our break room at the office, a stack of CDs appeared, with the sign, "FREE TO A GOOD HOME."
In the stack were two Barbra Streisand releases, "Higher Ground" and "A Love Like Ours."
So if any DR wants 'em, PM me your mailing address and they're yours! :)

Carroll Baker did a series of funny guest shots on a show called "Davis Rules" which starred Randy Quaid. She played the old woman who was after Jonathan Winters.

Wonder if any review copies will find themselves on my doorstep today? This is the longest break I've had between review copies in many months.
-
I will have JOHN ADAMS and DIRT! to watch today. No, I didn't record COLD CASE. I was already recording two other programs and had to watch COLD CASE in HD over-the-air "live" or not at all. And since the show doesn't issue DVD sets (music rights astronomical), my best bet is to hope to catch a rerun this summer.
-
I still have one more Lubitsch musical to watch - ONE HOUR WITH YOU, so that will likely be what I watch later this afternoon or early this evening before my prime time line-up begins.
-
And the word of the day is: XENOPHOBIA!
At Yom Kippur services many years ago here at the biggest synagogue in town, we were going through the litany of things for which we needed to repent, among which, as some here may know, is xenophobia. Suddenly this old woman next to me turned and said in a very loud voice, "What's xenophobia?" It was very funny.

Aw, thanks for checking in and noticing. It's not so much writer's cramp, as it is lack of writer's energy - last week's series of EPAs really took it out of me - and my brain. However, I should have a new entry or two going up in the next day or two. Stay tuned.

Poor Bryan has a perfectly wonderful coffee maker he can't use. The realtor says it is too big to leave on the counter while his loft is for sale. Keeping the place in perfect order is a cinch for him, not having his coffee is pure hell. He has had to drink instant coffee & caffeinated soft drinks (something he never does). :o

Just going through the current series of Doctor Who gives a nice list of guest stars:
Zoe Wannamaker as Lady Cassandra O'Brien ("The End of the Earth", "New Earth")
Simon Callow as Charles Dickens ("The Unquiet Dead")
Penelope Wilton as MP (later Prime Minester) Harriet Jones ("Aliens of London", "The Christmas Invasion")
Simon Pegg as The Editor ("The Long Game")

Anthony Stewart Head as Headmaster Finch ("School Reunion")
Catherine Tate as Donna Noble ("The Runaway Bride")
Dekek Jacoby as Professor Yana ("Utopia")
John Simm as The Master/Harold Saxon ("The Sound of Drums")
Plus the third Christmas special, "Voyage of the Damned," brings us Kylie Minogue, Geoffrey Palmer, and Bernard Cribbens.
Torchwood, on the other hand, has avoided having very many names as guest stars, limiting themselves to James Marsters as Captain John Hart ("Kiss Kiss Bang Bang") and Alan Dale as Aaron Lopley ("Reset").
A week from Friday, at least on the American SciFi Channel, brings us Samantha Bond as Mrs. Wormwood in the first episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures: "The Invasion of the Bane."
(And this doesn't even bring in how Freema Agyeman, Naoko Mori and Eve Myles all started out in smaller roles, before moving on to co-star status. Or how John Barrowman instantly moved into co-star/star status. And, come to think of it, Catherine Tate is turning into the newest co-star...)

SWW, Dr.Who has had a great cast of guests over the last few years.
Bernard Cribbens was in the movie release of Dr Who that featured Peter Cushing as the Doctor. I will admit - I actually own that movie. Some of the effects were pretty cheesy. They based the movie on an episode of the show from the first or second season of the original series. HE was also in Fawlty Towers with John Cleese.
Here is a link for the Dr. Who movie.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0060278/ (http://imdb.com/title/tt0060278/)
BTW, John Cleese guested on the original series in a Tom Baker storyline "City of Death" with Eleanor Bron.
There was s Children in Need special segmant this past winter that had David Tennant and the fifth doctor, Peter DAvison. It was cute!
-
I will say one thing about Doctor Who, it amazes me how in some regards it has stood the test of time. It has been off and on the air since 1963. That is almost as long as some soap operas in the US. I am not sure where it ranks in longevity against shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke.
-
With that said, Eastenders and Coronation street also have considerable longevity.
Coronation STreet beats Doctor Who by three years.
-
I would just like to add, a propos of nothing, that you can find the most amazing stuff on YouTube. Yesterday on a lark (what I was doing on a lark is anybody's guess) I searched for an old British series that made it to ABC for half a season called "Journey to the Unknown," because I remember having loved the "whistling" theme back then. Lo and behold and also behold and lo, it was there--actually two complete episodes!
-
Does anyone remember the British show Darling Buds of May?
Catherine Zeta-Jones used to star in that show.
-
I have also found some very interesting things on youtube. Including a broadcast of Miss America from the 1980s... I had to razzz a friend a little about it....
-
Dakota: Add to the list of guests on the original Doctor Who series:
Honor Blackman, on the Sixth Doctor story "Terror of the Vervoids."
And (our esteemed BK will like this) Stubby Kaye, on the Seventh Doctor story "Delta and the Bannermen."
(Mr. Kaye was past his prime, unfortunately, but a delight all the same.)
-
Columbo could always be counted on for good guest shots. Patrick McGoohan (The Prisoner) was particularly fond of Columbo, appearing more than once and directing, as well.
-
Der Brucer wants to go shopping. With five dogs in the house, we've run out of dog food faster than usual. (I cannot imagine why!)
-
TOD:
THe soaps have had some interesting guest stars ranging from movie stars to music performers.
Elizabeth Taylor guested on General Hospital
Betty White guested on Days, Santa Barbara and Another World
Carol Burnett was on All My Children
Heather Mills, Paul McCartney's ex-wife was on Days
Robert Clary used to have a role on Days and he would occaisionally sing. Days from time to time have Bill Hayes sing on the show in the past.
Music groups / musicians that appeared on the soaps:
Simply Red
Snoop Dogg
Blue County
PHil Vassar
The Chieftains
I think it was Rowdy Gaines who guested on Search for Tomorrow. HE won a medal at the 1984 Olympics.
-
How could I forget Stubby Kaye!
-
SWW, are you fostering another dog?
I thought you had three
-
We have four:
Mikey, the terrier/pug
Bonnie and Buster
(the blondes)
and Fletcher, the Dalmatian
We are fostering Wiggles, the black Lab, whose tail gives good reason for his name.
-
Breaking news: North DAkota will be paid a visit by both Obama and Hillary Clinton in the same weekend and in the same city...
Never thought it could happen....
-
ahhh... You do have your hands full SWW!
-
DR Jane, re: DEXTER, I said after the first episode that i wasn't sure if i liked it and that i liked DAMAGES better.
But it is growing on me. And i find i like it more and more every week. I really think the character of dexter is like nobody i've seen on tv. And i like the humor they add into the show. It's growing on me!
I felt the same way until last week. We began watching the show & I suddenly declared I didn’t want to. I think it is because Keith forgot to speed through the opening credits which I truly hate. When it gets to the part where he is shaving-YUCK! I know it is a silly thing to be so bothered by.
-
Three dogs, three cats, two gerbils, two goldfish, two young children. I never want to have such a full house again-LOL.
I know I'm very lucky our boys were always responsible when it came to helping with the pets. People say I'm lucky. I thought it was a matter of expecting them to be & they were.
-
Jane that almost sound like me and my sisters...
we had two dogs, three cats, hamsters, parakeets, a love bird and fish.
-
And I bet you would good about doing your share of caring for them.
-
Back from first batch of errands - second batch coming up soon.
-
Are there any Mark Salzman fans here? I’m currently reading a TRUE NOTEBOOKS, a fascinating book about his experience teaching writing to students at Los Angeles Central Juvenile Hall, a lockup for violent teenage offenders.
For an interesting, though brief, bio on Mark Saltzman read this. (http://www.barclayagency.com/salzman.html)
-
Ann has been added to the notes. Alert the media.
-
At long last - page six.
-
Will we never get to page seven?
-
I guess I'll go do errand run number two.
-
Yes, Jane, I took care of the dogs... Mini Schnauzer/mini poodle cross and the other is what I call "backyard special'. He defied definition.
-
And Happy 60th Birthday to Al Gore (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0330722/)!
;D
-
Why can't I think of Stubby Kaye without adding "hey hey hey" in my mind (almost an Opus One reference)
-
It has rained on and off all day long. It began raining just as I got back home from lunch. Stopped for awhile, and now it's picked up again.
-
I began my afternoon of viewing with last night's JOHN ADAMS.
Excellent episode, and the ending with the election of the first President and his swearing in was very moving indeed.
-
Next came DIRT and Lucy and Don's first real confrontation. Poor Don; he operates better in the real world on his meds, but he's much more fun when he's not on them. No surprise at all about the two reporters other than what took them so long?
-
I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke and Noah were on, and seems clear now that Ameera will be causing problems because, as I predicted, she wants a real marriage. What do you want to bet Noah gets seduced and Ammera gets pregnant?
-
I ended the afternoon watching another CSI: NY from Season 1. This was Danny's first case as lead investigator as he scopes out a diner with multiple homicides. Mac and Stella's case involved the death of a man with a missing leg.
-
I decided I'd watch THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK on HD-DVD when I go back down. I should have plenty of time to get the 2+ hour movie watched before NEW AMSTERDAM comes on at 9.
-
Dear friend (and BK co-star in the Last Starfighter reading at NYMF) Maureen Silliman seems to be doing quite well in THE GLASS MENAGERIE, currently at Two River Theater Co. in Red Bank, NJ.
Here's the review from the Newark Star-Ledger:

Got to tidy up a few things downstairs (have already cleaned the dining room this morning) and then it'll be back to viewing.
WBBL.
-
Good Afternoon!
Just another half hour to go here at Ripley-Grier. So far, so good. (Ah, a No Way To Treat A Lady reference![/i])
-
I do like Maureen very much.
-
Back from second batch of errands and am listening to the recent release of Elmer Bernstein's score for The Caretakers.
-
My car had a long-deserved bath - I don't think it had been washed in two months.
-
It's a clean machine now, though.
-
Perhaps I'll shave now.

My copy of Lester Lanin's "Dancing Theatre Party" arrived today. :)

And wasn't she at the same after-theatre gathering that DR Cillaliz talked about, along with Danny Burstein and Lenny Wolpe? What I remember is that they all 3 were very nice. I'd love to see Maureen in The Glass Menagerie, one of my favorite plays.
-
I am still contemplating the TOD
-
Ginny - Yes, that was Maureen who joined us for the show and dinner that night.
-
Let us know how you like Mr. Lanin's CD, especially the sound.
-
I shall shortly be on my way to the Heim of Ana for some chow and some rehearsal. We're not in the theater tonight, but at our alternate space. I do believe that only happens one other time before we open.
-
Ginny - Yes, that was Maureen who joined us for the show and dinner that night.
If I remember correctly, she had recently been here in Cincinnati in a show. Will you let me know if she's there, or in Dayton, again?
And are you going to get out to see the show in Red Bank? When our family vacationed in Ocean Grove, NJ, the bus we took a couple of times into Manhattan made a major stop in Red Bank.

Was it only a week ago that I was bragging about how God had answered my prayers by bringing me that photo shoot?
############
Oh, what a difference a week makes! Oh, I still believe that the photo shoot was an answer to my prayer and I am very grateful for the opportunity and for the money. But, since then:
1) I have found out that it will take up to 8 weeks before I ever see the check for the photo shoot.
2) That my rowing around Lake Washington for those frozen morning hours probably sped up need for a third back surgery.
And 3) (added just this morning) The MRSA has returned.

Now don't I make your lives seem so much better by comparison?

I finally went to the PitaPit for a Falafel. It will be a long, long time before I go there again.

DR TCB, how terrible for you. I cannot find words to express how sorry I am.

I grind my beans every morning (not a euphemism). Actually, Gabe does it--he has been doing it since he was old enough to toddle over to the grinder. He gets *very* upset if he doesn't get to do this regular part of his morning routine.
That's right - start them off grinding beans for coffee, and soon they'll be grinding whomever for meat pies 8)

I might be headed for NYC after the Monster Bash late in June.
My pal Al and his DSO, Gary, will be attending the Bash and heading to the Apple immediately following the Bash.
On their list of shows to see are WICKED (because I took Al to see it and he loves it and wants to share it with Gary), MARY POPPINS, SPAMALOT, A CATERED AFFAIR, CURTAINS and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (which I have warned him about).

I've never used lemongrass before. But I couldn't resist picking up a little while we were shopping for dinner.
So, I'm going to chop me up some lemongrass real fine, use it to flavor the poaching liquid for the chicken breasts, and then use the poaching liquid to cook the rice in.
We shall see how this tastes. Or mouth how this tastes, which is more accurate but doesn't sound quite as polite.

Good Evening!
After my auditions were done, I ran a few errands in midtown, and then headed to the Time-Warner Center to have dinner at Landmarc. My friend, Michael, joined me there, and we both ended up having their amazing burger. -And I treated myself to a pint of Stella Artois too. :) The burger, as always, was great, however... It seems they've started charging for all of the add-ons - they only used to charge for the cheese and bacon. Tonight, when the bill came, we noticed separate charges for the mushrooms and the sauteed onions. I also asked for small cup of the bernaise sauce - which used to come automatically with the burgers - and the charge for that was $4.00! Hmm... It was my first time ordering the burger at dinner time, so maybe they do things differently at dinner. I dunno. Our waitress was also a bit stand-offish tonight too. At first, I was thinking my familiarity with their menu and the usual order of business may have put her on the "defensive", but after a while, I realized she just didn't want to be there. -She didn't even leave the complimentary caramels with check - like was done by the waitress who covered the three tables next to us. It was the first time in a long time I had actually left an "true" 15% tip.
*Thankfully, my favorite bartender, Amy, was tending bar tonight, and she gave me and Michael a handful of caramels on the way out. :-)

OH! DR td in NYC!!! OOOHHH!!!!
*Just remember that Curtains is closing June 29, so...
-
And speaking of Curtains... I owe a big Thank You to Mr. Kander. My parents and a "long lost"(?) cousin are coming to NYC this Wednesday for the day, and they wanted to see a show. Well, at first they were thinking of seeing something in the evening, but then they decided on a matinee at the last minute. Of course, my Mom thinks that I can get tickets for anything here in NYC at anytime, well.... Since that's only partially true ;), I contacted Mr. Kander this morning about securing some house seats for this Wednesday's matinee of Curtains... And just an hour and a half later, I had the confirmation in my e-mailbox. Thank You, John!
*Hopefully, I'll be done with the Chorus Call I'm playing that day by the time the show lets out. I advised them that it's probably best to take a later bus back to Atlantic City, after rush hour, so I should be able to spend more than 20 minutes with them during this trip. -And I get to meet my "long lost" - one of my Mom's usual exaggerations - cousin too.
-

DR SWW - If you're just going to use the lemongrass to perfume/flavor your poaching liquid, I'd suggest just cutting a few lengths of it - two inch segments should work well - and then just giving them a good smack with the side of a knife, give it a good "bruise" to release the oils. By finely chopping it, you may end up with too much lemongrass flavor. *You'll also avoid that "lemongrass grit" which I know some people don't mind, but I do. That's a lot of fiber.

And it appears that I'll be having quite the culture-filled week this week... It looks like I'm seeing South Pacific tomorrow night. Then the Russian baritone, Dmitri Hvorostovsky in recital on Thursday night at Carnegie Hall. Then the American tenor, Joseph Kaiser in recital at Carnegie's Weill Hall on Friday. -And I think the New York Philharmonic this weekend too!
-
Hmm... I wonder if DR MBarnum would appreciate Mr. Hvorostovsky's talents?

I have a question for the HHW food experts.
Here we have something called Orange Julep. I think you have something similar called Orange Julius.
I love this and found a recipe that says to use 3 tablespoons of egg white or egg substitute.
I thought that meant to just use the egg whites of an egg.
But when i look more closely it says "use pasteurized egg whites found packaged in your supermarket or just use egg substitute".
Does anyone know what those two things are and if they are the same as using regular egg whites?
Also, is it safe to use raw egg whites in a cold drink (i've never eaten raw eggs before).
Thanks.

Heigh ho, after my fun 5 days in Minneapolis and 2 relaxing days here at home, tomorrow is the start of a new work week for me, so
'night!
-
Orange Julius is made from a powder mix of some sort. I'm sure it means you need a pasteurized dried egg white powder
Our home made version, which I'm sure is more fattening but oh so good:
In a blender layer ice, orange juice, vanilla ice cream, vanilla and blend.
-
DR Jennifer, I don't enjoy a raw egg in my Orange Juilius-yuck.

Dr Jennifer - If "egg safety" is not a concern in your area, then using "regular" egg whites is fine. However, pasteurized eggs (still in the shell) are now available in the supermarkets - although at a premium price. Egg substitutes are primarily made from egg whites - with color added to give that egg-yolky color.
You could also used reconstituted powdered egg whites. In fact, I've seen "imitation" Orange Julius/Julep recipes that call for adding powdered egg whites directly to the orange juice before blending.
Note that the egg whites just contribute to the texture/viscosity of the finished product, they do not - and should not - add any flavor. -Oh, and they also up the protein content of the drink.
-
Now... Didn't Orange Julius's used to come out of a sort-serve type of machine? Or was that a different type of OJ product?
-
And today's Musical Giggle has been provided by the "tango" rendition of The Police classic, "Roxanne". ;D

So I have my day all planned. I packed up a bunch of work. I'm going to spend the day researching and writing and getting the laundry done and then will clean in the evening because my mother said the wouldn't possibly get here before Tuesday. At noon, I decided to call and see where they were. They were in Kansas and said they would be staying with me tonight. TONIGHT!! That's 24 hours early and the place was definitely not clean. So I put off working and cleaned all afternoon. The place is looking pretty nice. The parents arrived, had dinner, watched Dancing With the Stars and are now sleeping. It's better this way, actually. I didn't have a problem taking today off and tomorrow I have to be in the office - at least in the afternoon. So we'll go to breakfast at 7:30 AM and they will leave town,.
-
I did clean the dining room. It was the one room that still had boxes and misc stuff around. I took almost all the boxes down the basement and cleaned the place up. I must say it's nice to sit here at the table and look out at my view of the lights of Sioux City
-
So, although I'm still telling people my place is a mess and I couldn't have a party. That really isn't true. I just don't want to have a party, lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR ANN~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DR Cillaliz - SURPRISE!!!
;D
-
This is my page....I own it baby~
-
Hi Jose! Welcome to my page. Yes, it was a surprise, but a very typical mom and dad surprise if that makes any sense
-
BUT, like I said timing wise, this is much better. Now I have all the family and friend obligations done until April 12. Then I'm going to my parent's house to celebrate my mother's 81st birthday. This also gets me out of 2 meetings on the other side of the state that I had no interest in attending. :)
-
Which also means I can dig in and get the work done that has started piling up. And my house is mostly clean - just a lot of laundry still to do, but I can do that tomorrow night and work at the same if need be.
-
I am so sorry to read of your continuing problems, DR TCB. Many good wishes for better health, better news, and faster mail delivery.
-
I began my evening's viewing with THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK on HD-DVD. The movie is a big ol' mess, of course, despite having wonderful actors like Judi Dench, Colm Feore, and Linus Roache in the cast.
But what eye candy (gorgeous men in HD means I was smiling for two hours +), and the DTS sound was stupendous!
-
The best thing about my in-laws visiting was that my house was tidy. ;)
-
Of course, I made my DH pitch in, which he won't usually do.
-
Next, I pulled out a DVD I haven't wwatched in years - PAL JOEY. This is an OLD transfer. Yes, one side does have the widescreen anamorphic transfer, but the color looks rather brackish. It's in mono, too.
I didn't quite get through the entire movie. I'll start at Chapter 20 on the disc tomorrow.
-
NEW AMSTERDAM had a very interesting backstory of John's experience as a painter at the turn of the century, and the haunting aftermath of that life. Sad but poignant.
-
MEDIUM had some gripping scenes in this week's wrap-up to its two-part story.
I have to admit, however, that when Allison had the dream of Cynthia and her daughter talking at the lake, I was sure that meant that Cynthia was going to be dead soon, too, at the hands of that psychopath. Thus, the ending was a surprise. And, of course, Cynthia will get off. Killing that girl while in the throes of grief will most likely let her plead temporary insanity.
-
Tomorrow I'll be watching CSI: MIAMI and OLD CHRISTINE both of which were recorded this evening.
-
Well, time to head upstairs and maybe read a little before going to sleep. Night
-
Jose - We don't have any connections to as many shows as you have, but we've basically stopped offering to get house seats for certain people, and even have for a few people said we don't know anybody even when we have known someone. Examples: After having had some people cancel house seats after we went ot some trouble, not to mention our being embarrassed by that, we just started telling that person we don't know anybody. Another person (a friend of a friend, visiting from California) that we really went out of our way to get tickets for a few very hot shows as a big favor took it so much for granted that it was easy to do that he just didn't bother using all the tickets, so our friend who had asked us to help out ended up buying the tickets himself - there's another person we have since just said the white lie "no, we don't know anyone for that" when they've asked again. Another thought it was necessary to point out that "out of curiosity" they went online and saw they could have gotten just as good tickets the day before (side note: obviously released house seats) - another one for whom we just have to say we won't go out of our way again.
Of course, if any of these people were actual family or really clsoe freinds, I'd go out of my way anytime. But there are some of those.... :)
-
Hmmm...I hope none of those house seat abusers lurk here at HHW :)
-
Heading down to bed now.
Good night!
-
DR FJL - Well, since the house seats hadn't been released yet for Wednesday's matinee when I checked this morning... And since everyone's Wednesday matinees have been close to sold out lately... But, trust me, I only ask when there is a pressing need - at least when it comes to my parents.
Whenever I was doing a show in DC, my Mom would always say to me, "Just get us tickets for any date, and then just tell us when we can go." Well... Needless to say, I never got tickets for any random date. And the number of times I would arrange and confirm tickets for my parents and their friends, only to find out a day or two before that they "may not be able to make it" since they forgot they had something else planned - or that their friends were not available to come with them that night. -Well, they would just end up calling other friends. ;)
-
TCB, all of my best vibes for your feeling much better very, very soon!
-
Although, the one concept that my Mom has yet to comprehend is that hardly any show, any producer offers comp tickets to their cast, crew, orchestra and staff - unless they happen to be papering a certain performance. I still routinely get calls from my Mom telling me that some friends/relatives are coming to New York City, and she wants me to get tickets to a show for them... Then when I tell her that she or they will have to pay for them, well... They usually just end up going to dinner. ;)
-
I almost attended MONSTER BASH last year, but alas it just did not work out...but, I am attending the Memphis Western Film Festival...almost the same thing, except with cowboys.
-
Do any HHWers do screen captures of DVDs on their computer? If so what software do you prefer?
-
I've found that trying to undo a house seat order once it's been credit-carded is pretty difficult, unless you're the person actually involved with the show. Some people seem to assume that when you know someone, why can't you just undo the transaction. As if they've asked you for a favor, but just don't need the favor any more, so why should they be on the hook to pay for the tickets?
-

I always tell them them in advance that it can't be undone. -And that's actually the truth. Once I turn the form in, it's no longer my transaction.

Do any HHWers do screen captures of DVDs on their computer? If so what software do you prefer?
I do some they are from clips that someone gave me and they are already in wma, mpeg3, mpge4 or avi formats.
I have used pinnacle in the case of the ones taht have been converted..
BElow is an example of one a freind did for me from a Search For Tomorrow eppie that is from a DVD. I have only seen from soap tapings.
If it is from a protected copy, I do NOT do that....

In other news, I've become slightly addicted to Word Whopper on Gamesville.
