DR ELMORE - I like to see T E E T H! But then, I am a carnivore.
And the word of the day is: WETHER!The WETHER found himself an ewe, and was able to get HER WET, but that was about it.

I have a question for all DRs re: reading newsgroups
Does anybody know of any free newsreaders, other than google.
My internet provider had a great way to read newsgroups. But this week they decided they no longer will provide it.
And it's driving me crazy. The only group i read is my cbs soaps group. But i hate hate how it looks on google. I like to see each post one by one with the newest post on the top (maybe there is a way to configure google to do this?
Anyhow if anybody knows of any ideas, thanks in advance.

Will Elder, 86; original cartoonist for Mad magazine
A flawless artist, Elder also had a satiric edge.
By Dennis McLellan, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
May 17, 2008
Will Elder, one of the original Mad magazine cartoonist-illustrators who helped set the irreverent visual style of the legendary satirical publication in the 1950s and later co-created the long-running "Little Annie Fanny" color cartoon strip in Playboy magazine, has died. He was 86.

Good Afternoon!
I'm up, I'm up... -That's for the East Coast.
;)
And the weather here in NYC seems to turned around for this weekend - well, more like switched around. Originally, it was supposed to be rainy today and sunny tomorrow, but sometime in the overnight hours, I guess the patterns changed, and it's currently bright, sunny and warm outside right now - with possible showers scheduled to move in tonight and tomorrow. I suspect I will be taking a nice walk in the near future.
Baba O'Riley was used on a Promo commercial for TNT's series Saved (June 2006).
Bosco and I took our walk and were accosted by a runaway Pit Bull...thankfully he was not of the "rip your flesh apart" variety, although he would not let us be and he followed us home.
I put Bosco in the back yard grabbed a leash and eventually got the beast hooked up. There was a tag which gave his address so I walked him home (home was just a few streets west of my street.
On the way I met up with his owner who were driving around the area looking for "Bogart."
The end.
Don't Get Me Wrong Uncle Jo Jo but I liked your old picture with "It's a Book Scene" much better.
No, that was my friend JAS.

Nothing to get wrong, DR AMB. I may change it back. Although, there's another pic I've been thinking of using.. We shall see...
Send those "minor revision vibes" this way as my three readers take a gander...
Jose, I really like the new avatar. And you take nice pictures.
Here's another book that may interest some DRs:
DR Jane - Well... There's always this one:
;D
Thanks Ginny. It looks like something my book group would enjoy reading.
Here are some I'm considering for my group:
The Secret of Lost Things, by Sheridan Hay
Flower Confidential, by Amy Stewart
Loving Frank, by Nancy Horan
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, by Barbara Kingsolver
Julie and Julia, by Julie Powell
These are our selections for the summer:
June - My Home is Far Away, by Dawn Powell
July - The Trees, by Conrad Richter
August - The House of Mirth, by Edith Wharton (we'll have a potluck dinner and watch the Gillian Anderson movie version)
For September, we usually try to read a book that ties into our local international festival, which this year is featuring Mongolia. Any suggestions?

Why don't I see WATER FOR ELEPHANTS on your list?
I don't know how I missed that your group read FOLLOW THE RIVER. That book has really stayed with me.
Good morning, all! I have a morning with Brain surgery and then I'm seeing a matinee of Mr Tennessee Williams' ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE with the wonderful Milla.
DR Jose, I think this is my vote. The photos are quite lovely but I think this is a nice serious professional mug shot. I can't wait to see it hanging in my local post office.
How about something from this list? (http://www.amazon.com/Historical-fiction-set-China-Mongolia/lm/3A4HQV0VMJV55)

Thanks for the book tips, DR Ginny - the Gould book sounds very interesting. Of course, the book's title could also be the title of one of DR elmore3003's VHS tapes!?!
Weird Vibe Requests[/u]
If anyone can spare them, I would appreciate a few vibes that I have been bitten by abugspider. If not, the MRSA has returned; and even earlier than I would have expected.
I just washed my hair.
And you couldn't do a thing with it? 8)
DANISH APPLE PIE
Wouldn't the fact that a tune is so closely identified with a current hit show (in this case Baba O'Riley with CSI-NY) mitigate against using it to promote a different show?

If I hadn’t had wet nail polish on I would have removed the white turban off my head.
I think MBarnum would have enjoyed seeing you in your turban! :)
Hmm... Their logo looks less "broken" on their WEBSITE (http://www.thepinkteacup.com/).
;)
New telly is almost all set up...
Will I be able to tape on a vcr from a digital channel??
Been working on Nudie and adding some little things for the supporting players, which are helpful.
but they feature a good assortment of Argentinian empanadas (the goat cheese and pumpkin is a favorite),
Just thinking out loud. Musing out loud.
I was retained to represent a young man on a First Degree Murder charge.
Did you tell the family that there was an extra charge for providing fresh underwear?

I bet you do, indeed ;) ;)
Why! Missy Karen! The way you talk! You'd think I was DR ColeSlaw!
I saw him a couple weeks ago when I took him to the airport.
Vibes for TCB.
TCB - Hope you're not laid up, mostly for your health's sake, but selfishly (much less importantly of course) because I'm hoping you, George and I will still be able to have lunch on Thursday.
P.S. to George and TCB - If anything changes on Wednesday or after re our plans, though, please please please (that's three pleases) whatever you do or don't do, do not let me know via email or this board - my computer access will be extremely limited from Wednesday on, and I'm not relying on making peace with my Blackberry before I travel. I'll send you both my cell number. Please leave a message there as soon as you know.
Weird, Strange, Bizarre, Uncanny and Anti-Spider Bite Vibes to DR TCB (in other words, Be Fit, Well and Okay Viibes!!)

Dear DR TCB,
Although you are hoping it is a spider bite, I am hoping it is a spot on your glasses!
[thanks, DR Miss Karen! :D ]

Will 4,000 posts earn me my HHW toaster?

Would you like strawberry preserves to go with the english muffins?
...Or a hickey.
;D
Singdaw, nice button...
Do you think I could have slept thru that?
Spider-bite vibes for DR TCB!
No-revision vibes for DR Miss Karen!
I think the new issue of Entertainment Weekly is having trouble getting across the Ohio River. Border's still had last week's and Kroger didn't have any issue.
Maybe DR Elmore will have to bring me one from NYC.
Good night, everyone.
Mine never arrives in the mail until Monday!

I shall probably take a second look at my Netflix disc for the weekend, YUVA, which I'm sure that DR MBarnum would like as much as I did:

I have heard of this film but had no idea what the plot was...glad to know it is a good one and it is not on my list!
