We can't even muster more than five GUESTS. Of course, George is here, sitting there like so much fish.
George - Plateau congrats - 18000 is 1000 times 18, which is "chai" - the Jewish word for "life."
Post #18018 should be special, too!
George, I posted the news about Manhattan Transfer and Al Jarreau for you about two months ago. You were online and posting when I wrote it, so I guess you just don't read my posts.
And the word of the day is: WEEN!
Have fun at SWAN LAKE, DR GINNY!
When I got home, I watched "The Sarah Jane Adventures," "Doctor Who" and "Battlestar Galactica." ...The Sarah Jane Adventures had a very nice ending for their/her first season, I thought. And watching the whole story, back to back, was certainly preferable to seeing part two of a story first, leading into part one of the next tale. Whoever came up with how they've been showing TSJA on SciFi should be castigated, at the very least.
Good morning, all! More Brain surgery.
After watching the Boleyns fall last night, I went ahead and watched the Finale of THE TUDORS on Showtime on Demand, quite a moving episode.
Nothing else to report.
Yesterday there was a girl in a tree here on HHW....much discussion of sex in the city....which I guess is a lot different than sex in the country....location wise.
DR PENNYO - it would be so nice if drama were confined to the stage and not allowed backstage....

I saw Annie 2 twice in its D.C. tryout, and I guess there was a song about Coney Island according to google, but the Coney Island aspect doesn't stick out in my mind as being crucial to the plot.
I enjoyed SHADOW IN THE WINDOW last night, and it was certainly odd to see Betty Garrett in such a role. Phil Carey is certainly quite the hunk in this film, as he is in that Allison Hayes starrer COUNT 3 AND PRAY. I wonder why I have not yet interviewed the man. I must rectify that.
Sorry to hear about Ms. Green, DR MBarnum.
Cilla, do you mean the ANNIE sequel in D.C.? I was there on the next-to-last night (when Dorothy Stanley went on for Dorothy Loudon) which was a Friday, and then on the last night when Dorothy Loudon returned for that final performance (that was a Saturday).
Wonder how many busses they'll have to add to the Sex and the City tour. I haven't taken that one, but it looks like fun.
So, DR Cillaliz, how 'bout sometime between August 27 and Sept. 1?
Oh, so we were both there, only 13 years apart. :)
Oh Dorothy Green was on The Young and the Restless MANY years ago, and was the drunk mother of the rich girl in THE RESTLESS YEARS.....she must have been restless herself......
Rainy Saturday....heavy winds, rain, thunder and lightning last night. One branch of our elm three in the front yard is a hanging by a thread! But I would guess all that water will help the flowers grow....and better it happens this weekend than last weekend when we were painting!
Yesterday Jose said:
After leaving the Lower East Side with baked goods in tow, I headed over to Chelsea to meet up with my friend, Carl, for dinner. We ended up supping at the Hollywood Diner, which, I believe, is just down the stairs from DR Ben's abode. After dinner, he headed on up to the Cort to see The 39 Steps, and I headed on home.
Well, whaddayaknow! Yes, the Hollywood is on the corner of 16th Street and 6th Avenue, just half a block from the old apartment. We were not there at the same time but I also had dinner at the Hollywood last night. Since Ant is still on Long Island I decided to go to the diner for Friday Night Dinner. I was there around 6:45 if I recall correctly. I was sitting at the counter and I didn't see Jose and friend so I assume they were there later or already gone. Hope your dinner was good, mine was.
"He Ain't No Jose" - that's the title of the opening number of my new musical.
...
Is that Labor Day?
I believe some of that stormy weather is due here in NYC shortly.

Something for Everyone!
The ad agency in Seattle sent my some lovely prints from the photo shoot. And I don't even have to chase a bus to look at them!
Hmm... Tomorrow, there are seven(!) Street Fairs (http://manhattan.about.com/od/eventsandattractions/a/junestreetfairs.htm) here in New York City... Including the Philippine Independence Day Celebration and Street Fair. You'll only know if you visit them all!
I wonder if any of the food booths will have balut? :o :-X :( ::)

They can say it but it wouldn't be true.

... Replacing a shower curtain liner is much easier - and takes much less time - then cleaning it.
"Everyone's" favorite Hal Prince film. ;) ;D (Consider the alternatives).

two of my favorite hunks Suniel Shetty and Upen Patel...
In a little bit, I'll go start on THE ANIMATION SHOW.
Well, I'm pretty sure if I do end up having to fast on Monday, it won't be due to eating balut. -However, there will most likely be some lumpia, pancit, adobo, halo-halo(!).
....is now time to watch a Bollywood movie and/or take a nap...just got a new one in the mail ONE, TWO, THREE (2008) starring my two of my favorite hunks Suniel Shetty and Upen Patel...it is a comedy...it better be funny (as he notices that it only got a 3 star rating on IMDB.COM)
The trailer looks funny...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrpwtoZMSZk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrpwtoZMSZk)

... I don't stop when I start getting too hot ...
Just finished Animation Show Volume 3 and was for the most part blown away. Some incredibly inventive stuff here, and some flat out hilarious little features.
Rats! I just mixed together a pie crust and realized I must have left my pie pans at the church on Pi Day.
she gets a phone call from him telling her he's not dead.
I also watched all of the bonus features which included video interviews with three of the featured animators and a very interesting split-screen view of one of the features showing the animatics and storyboards for the short.

Two creatures were fighting in my back yard....it scared both me and Dog Bosco...I have never heard such horrible screaching in my life...I knew it was not a cat or a dog...and when I went into the back yard, in the dark (isn't that what they always do in the horror films?), the fight broke up and the horrid screaching stopped...but I could see two eyes looking at me in the darkness over by the tree in my back yard....it was very spooky...
...the screaching sounded like someone was killing a pig with a vulture...but I suspect it was either racoons or some hugantic rodent...or both...fighting over the food in the squirrel feeder.
I made Freddy come inside so he wouldn't get eaten.

Possums, MB.
I had never seen a possum before I moved to the NW. I was living in a little house in NE Portland and we had a garden out back. My girlfriend at the time looked out the window and said, "There's a dog in our garden eating the vegetables." I went running out there to scare it, got up next to it, saw it was a GIGANTIC RODENT (WHICH HAS HISSING AT ME VIOLENTLY) and I turned around and screamed like a girly-man, beating a hasty retreat to the house.
DR vixmom - VA-VA-VA- VOOM!!!!!!!!
:)
Or I could just go buy a cheesecake in the morning.
DR Cillaliz has had a busy day!
The whole city????!!! :o Like in that Will Smith movie?
Where'd everybody go?
We can't even get to page eight?
