Well, you've read the notes, the notes said Goodbye/Hello, and now it is time for you to post until the LA cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VIRTU!
-
First post-BK post?
-
That has happened since my recent bout with insomnia. :)
-
Good Evening, once again!
It's picture time!
This must be the time and place!
-
I guess the benefit will be starting momentarily....
-
This is the one shot I was able to sneak during the show. Those blurs on stage are Jill O'Hara and Tony Roberts.

And now for the Blurry Bows...

DR TCB - That's great news about your friend, Stan! -Now, how are you doing?
-
Great Photos DR Jose, thanks for sharing them
-
I'm enjoying DR Jose's photos
Thank You, DR Cillaliz.
*And I have to say that once I learned that you could take screen caps on the iPhone, that feature sure has come in handy. It makes it a lot easier to keep track of web pages.
-
DR Jose or others, do you know anyone touring in Spamalot? I'm seeing it tomorrow night after a very long day at work
-
I'm enjoying DR Jose's photos
Thank You, DR Cillaliz.
*And I have to say that once I learned that you could take screen caps on the iPhone, that feature sure has come in handy. It makes it a lot easier to keep track of web pages.
What's a screen cap?
-
Great photographs. And now - to bed.
-
Jrand - Haven't seen "myself" on the Cialis commercial yet.
-
I enjoyed the benefit much more than that foto would suggest. :) Have i mentioned my inability to smile on cue?
-
I'm enjoying DR Jose's photos
Thank You, DR Cillaliz.
*And I have to say that once I learned that you could take screen caps on the iPhone, that feature sure has come in handy. It makes it a lot easier to keep track of web pages.
What's a screen cap?
Screen cap = Screen Capture. Basically a picture of your screen.
There are some applications where people will start a "chain". They will take a screen cap of their screen, and then someone brings that pic up on their phone and takes a pic of that, and so on and so on. On Twinkle - which is one of the Twitter clients - you can end up with something like this:
-
That's pretty cool. Don't know if I can do that on Blackberry. I don't think so
-
OH!
And here's a "testament" to the Power of those Patented HHW Vibes - Here's a picture of my mother that I took this this past Sunday when we were out for lunch.
It's sort of hard to believe that she had her heart surgery a little less than two months ago. :)
-
She looks GREAT!
-
Gosh Jose, you mom is so adorable!
-
DR TCB, I am so happy about Stan's good news! Hurray!!
-
While I agree that WHITE CHRISTMAS on DVD needs a face-lift, it IS an anamorphic transfer, so I WILL give Paramount credit for doing that right. DR Ron Pulliam must be thinking of some other film that is nonanamorphic.
Since they redid FUNNY FACE last year (and I thought it looked beautiful, a huge step up from the previous DVD release), I really had hopes they'd redo WHITE CHRISTMAS this year. Those have to be their two most popular musicals of the 1950s.
-
Tonight I watched 9 more episodes of TRANSFORMERS. I have 34 more to watch!
-
NCIS had a pretty fair mystery tonight, but not that hard to figure out.
-
Page Two Dance!!!
-
Next, I watched tonight's FRINGE. It's REALLY entered the sci-fi realm now, and I'm not sure I'll continue watching. The whole time I was watching it I kept thinking how much I'd have rather be watching THE MENTALIST.
-
I did record THE MENTALIST, and I'll watch that tomorrow while I eat lunch.
-
I concluded my evening with the always excellent ELI STONE. Just seeing the two brothers together at the end brought a tear to my eye again (I love the two actors and the characters they play), and it makes me very sad that such a pleasurable show will not be with us for much longer.
-
Page 2 and it's not even midnight the night before yet!
-
I didn't have a great night of sleep last night, so I'm heading down now to try again tonight for something a little better and more restful.
Good night!
-
I don't seem to be able to fall asleep - I'd like to, but too much going on in my head. Well, I'll go back to bed and either fall asleep or just lie there like so much fish.
-
Hello I have just been catching up -- I cannot figure out how to read the Notes that I missed the past 2 days
-
I am so pleased to hear about Stan TCB-- the prayers ansd Vibes will continue from this little corner of the world
-
Has anybody heard from Dr Laura? I am quite concerned about her sister
VIBES and Prayers continue for Laura's sister and the whole DR Laura & Sandra family
-
I am also pleased to hear that the Bacharach festivities were so woonderful... would that I could have seen them... maybe next time!
-
DR Edi - I am very pleased with your TNT/Closer news and also to hear that Johnny Mercer will be on the American Masters
-
I was advised today that my first day of Chemo and radiation will be on Tuesday the 9th.... I was also advised that the chemo sessions will be 7 hours long - I had no idea!!
I will be downloading (OK , who am I kidding - I will arrange to have the Vixter download) The Most Happy Fella and Johnny Mercer into my MP3 player for some in-depth listening pleasure!!
-
To read the notes from past days, you have to go to the normal address, www.haineshisway.com and click on Column Archives - it's all there.
-
I am a little anxious as I still have not been given a surgical date for my chemo port or my stomach tube
I was hoping to have that all in place before treatment started as I am told by Sara's daddy that it is more difficult putting them in "after the fact"
-
To read the notes from past days, you have to go to the normal address, www.haineshisway.com and click on Column Archives - it's all there.
Thank you! That worked and now I am all caught up on the Notes as well -
for some reason I did not see the link there the first time I looked - but once I knew it was there I found it!
-
Well - the alarm goes off in 5 1/2 hours so it is wellpast my bed time - good night Bruce

Well, I don't think I've been asleep yet - I've just been in bed, but sleep hasn't happened. I suppose it's good that I was just laying there like so much fish, relaxed, but I'm quite tired, and hopefully I'll be able to sleep a bit on the plane.

Singdaw, hope you saw the post I made last night.
-
Well, I don't think I had any sleep at all, and I'm quite light-headed, but I'm all packed and dressed, teeth are brushed, and I suppose I shall now put Ye Olde Laptop in its case and mosey on downstairs in a few minutes and be on my way to the Newark airport.

And now, I'm all caught up. :)
-
Last night, we had our next-to-last rehearsal without an audience. We have a show Thursday night with a suggested minimum donation of $5 as an "actors' benefit"...meaning the cast and crew get to split all the money that's taken in. If we sell out, it'll be a total of about $400! Between all of us, though, it'll be less than $20 per person. But still, it's better than nothing. :)
-
Otherwise, the rehearsal went quite well. We're in great shape for having such a short rehearsal period (for this theater group ;)). The only real issue is that of sound. Sometimes the chorus are singing too loud for the soloists, and sometimes the band is too loud. We're not using any body mics so we all need to be more aware. We do have a couple of floor mics and several that are hanging above the stage...but still, it's not a great situation. I just hope that the soloists will be heard clearly. :-\
So, we have tonight's rehearsal, tomorrow's preview/actors' benefit and then we open!
-
And now I NEED to go to bed. Good night, all!
-
hope you saw the post I made last night.
Yes - thanks! :)
-
Page 2 and it's not even midnight the night before yet!
One of the fringe benefits of having bk on the East Coast! :)
-
I'm at the boarding gate. Drive here was fast, but security took about thirty minutes.
-
Where's Dolly to call "All Aboard!" when you need her?
-
I'm on the plane and in my seat. It's quite chilly in here. I'm hoping it's not a full plane - I'd sure love an empty seat next to me.
-
First class is practically empty. I asked if there was a way to upgrade for a fee. They said yes - for $800. You would think they'd make it reasonable and get something other than ten empty seats, but alas no.
-
$800.00???!!!
Yikes.
Hope you can get some rest, if not sleep, during the flight.
-

A friend of mine used to bring an "extra" box of donuts, or an "extra" box of chocolates, etc., to the airport for the gate staff. He always got an upgrade. :)

I'm up, I'm up... Well, I'm still up.... OY!?!?!?!?!?!

Well, cabin door has been closed, so I guess I'll shut off this here iPhone.

So if she has two empty seats, can you move to one of those (take the window) and at least have one empty seat next to you

Good morning, all! I was up early to attend to various matters, only to find that for reasons I cannot fathom, my call to Fed Ex and confirmation of a pick up today did not register. As a resulty, I am now stuck here tomorrow all day waiting for these three caqrtons to go out. I am both very pissed and unhappy; I wanted t take care of the Fed Ex and the computer setup today.
So, now i'm waiting for laundry and the messenger service to deliver the new iMac.
DR Ginny, for several months, my computer has been having problems ejecting CDs and DVDs: it's dead, then it works for a few days; I've had a DVD stuck for two weeks now, and if I take it to Tekserve to be repaired under the warranty, I'll be without a computer for a week. I decided to buy a new one for home, have my files transferred to it, then take my current one into Tekserve for repair. After tha I'll take it to the office, since the Packard Humanities Institute appears to be incapable of replacing anything stolen in the two office breakins, including several personal laptops owned by two of the employees. The only working Mac in the office is from 2001 and it's impossible to update anything on it. So, at least we'll have an office computer that's working, hopefully, and we'll get these scores finished. I'll be working on the final edit of BABES IN TOYLAND in Ohio over the holiday.

Wednesday morning greetings! I'm here briefly before going off to a midday meeting with the volunteer administrators (who, DR der Brucer, are not unpaid managers, but in charge of volunteer programs at large and small nonprofit agencies throughout the Dayton area).
DR Elmore - thanks for the computer clarification. Not that it was any of my business, I was just being nosy curious.

Doesn't THIS just put you in a holiday baking kind of mood?

Cilla - thanks for posting the pictures -- I am very impressed! I look forward to seeing the work as you continue
thanks Vixmom. I think I can turn it into a nice room. My mom brought me some insulated curtains to hang. I'm hoping they fit. I probably wouldn't have chosen this pattern, but it isn't bad and it will save me a lot of $$ not having to buy them.
I ordered new shades for the dining room and the window on the landing of the stairs. They arrived yesterday. I charged the drill all night to have it ready to install them, but today I have 4 hearings and go to Spamalot tonight, so I doubt I'll get to it until tomorrow night

I am struggling whether to buy a PIONEER or PANASONIC 50" Plasma TV.
What is your opinion? I will also enter into the Blu Ray Age.
So Many Possibilities
The Pioneer plasmas have gotten the best reviews for the past two years, but they are also the most expensive. This year's Panasonic model came in a very close second behind the Pioneer in terms of picture quality and was cheaper. Both give exemplary pictures.
And if you're going to buy a Blu-ray player, let me know what you're looking at, and I can advise you there, too.

Good morning!
This was our coldest morning in quite a few days, and yet it's warming up into the 50s today, so it will eventually be a pleasant day, but my heat has been popping on and off all morning, and I still have it set to 60 (I don't usually turn it up until I go downstairs to fix lunch; my office is very warm at that temp, but second floor rooms are always warmer).
-
I'll be continuing to work on TRANSFORMERS today, but at least I'll have THE MENTALIST to watch while I eat lunch.
-
Much warmer here today. And of course I now have my wheels....so the world is mine.
-
On TV TOnight!
ABC - PUSHING DAISIES, PRIVATE PRACTICE, DIRTY SEXY MONEY
NBC - CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER. LIFE, LAW & ORDER
CBS - RUDOLPH, GRAMMY NOMINATIONS CONCERT, VICTORIA'S SECRET
FOX - SECRET MILLIONAIRE
-
A big bummer: No BONES tonight to watch. Of course, that does give me MORE time to watch more episodes of TRANSFORMERS.
-
So I was watching CITIZEN KANE last night, and something struck me as strange for the first time: why is the butler, played by Paul Stewart, so eagerly money-grubbing and asking for a thousand dollars to talk to the reporter? He's clearly been with Kane for a lengthy amount of time and Kane would not have been tight fisted with his employees' salaries. Surely the butler would have accumulated some personal wealth from his own income (even if we don't speculate what he could have purloined from Kane's vast and non-inventoried collection of treasures and antiquities.) Why would this man be so opportunistic for such a petty amount? Would Kane even have such a man in his close employ?
Just one of those things that make me go "Hmmm..."
-
I finally got around to watching WALL-E last night.
I thought it was very cute, charming, but I did start to get a bit "antsy" during the final 20 minutes or so.
I think it would have worked better (for me) if the humans had not been brought into the picture at all. Their entrance changed the entire tone of the movie, which up to that point had been very Chaplinesque.
Also, why do these animated movies always have to end with a silly chase?
Don't misunderstand. I did enjoy the movie. I just don't think it's the greatest thing since chopped liver.
On the other hand, I really liked PRESTO, the animated short that accompanied WALL-E. I was laughing-out-loud.
-
Harry Connick Jr must really, really, really like Christmas.

Hello, everyone.

Kane was not the kind of person who would necessarily garner loyalty from his employees. Besides, he was dead, so from Stewart's point-of-view, "Where's the disloyalty?"

Ditto to everything Singdaw said--except the cookie cutter part. You can leave that out.

I'm having an ARRGGGGHHHHH!!!! kind of day. I read the home inspection report last night, had a loooong conversation with my agent, and have now rescheduled my whole day today to be present at today's inspections. Our buyers are nervous. I would be too after reading the home inspection report, which was filled with recommendations which make no sense in an 1820 house, some of which are not even allowed in a historic district, and some remarks which were just plain inaccurate. I shall attempt to calm the waters.

In addition to Druxy's remarks, I'm under the impression from my viewings of the film that Charles Foster Kane was pretty much up to his ears in debt at the time of his death. His widow certainly hit skidrow. And I doubt seriously that he provided any sort of pension or annuity for his hired help.

I've received notice from CostCo that my new TV stand will be delivered today.
Oh, Boy! Now I'll HAVE to take Friday off just to set it up and include my new Blu-ray player into the set-up.

Monday, however, is our Annual Progressive Holiday Pot-Luck. I've missed it the past couple of years because it was scheduled during my vacation. Oh, yeah, technically, you're supposed to turn them during take-off and landing, but, otherwise, once electronic devices are "cleared", then "Airplane Mode" should be allowed (on an iPhone, at least).
*Although, I do remember sitting next to a pilot once who had claimed a "jump seat". He did not turn off his Blackberry - I could still tell that the screen was "lit"/on as he held it screen-down in his lap. ??? :-\

DR elmore - If you have a hand-cart, couldn't you just head out and drop off those three cartons at a FedEx "desk"?

DR elmore (part deux) - With your new Mac, will this be your first time dealing with Mac OS X Leopard? If so, I highly recommend the online and embedded tutorials. There are some tweaks and features from the previous version that aren't exactly easy to "find" right off the bat.

Great pictures, DR JOSE!

One low note....I have one (count it, 1) radio station programmed on my car radio (!!!????!!!). It is generally just perfect for me, but this year this station started playing ONLY Christmas songs one week before Thanksgiving and has not relented.
Driving in this morning, I had to endure Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" with what I think of as a full Radio-City-Music-Hall production number (!) and it was closely followed by a "soulful" rendition of "The Little Drummer Boy."
I am in never in the mood to hear anyone "pah rum-pum-pum-pumming".
Tonight, I program some more stations.

Hmmmmmmmmm I remember Piven as Cupid......interesting. Of course, VALENTINE seems to have disappeared as was discussed here a couple of weeks ago....and I just started watching it.
Amazon.com has the Broadway to Hollywood Classic Musicals set on sale for $28.49....it includes two disc sets of BANDWAGON and EASTER PARADE, and also BRIGADOON, FINIAN'S RAINBOW, and BELLS ARE RINGING.
I think I may have to have this.

Yes, DR DRUXY, I couldn't pass it up for the price....I had wanted FINIAN'S RAINBOW, but the coast of it alone at various sites was half the cost of the set.....so I bought it!

Whew....GOSSIP GIRL gets publicity and VALENTINE gets canceled.....there is no justice.
Has MR BK landed yet?

One would hope so. Although, Bobby Cannavale always seems to keep his shirt on lately, doesn't he?

We haven't seen the movie yet & I appreciated reading your view on the film.

We ain't got no Blu-ray picture yet
But do we got pie?
That's what I wanna know! :)
No, there ain't no pie. Not yet.
Monday, however, is our Annual Progressive Holiday Pot-Luck. I've missed it the past couple of years because it was scheduled during my vacation. This year, though, so many folks are taking time off around the same time I'm leaving that they decided to hold it earlier to accommodate as many as possible.
My contributions will be:
Sweet Potato Souffle
Green Beans and potatoes
2 Coconut Pies
I make scrumptious coconut pies. I'll be doin' some cookin' this weekend!
I'm not a coconut person but the other two sound yummy.
-
A big bummer: No BONES tonight to watch. Of course, that does give me MORE time to watch more episodes of TRANSFORMERS.
What it means to ME is that not having to watch Christmas in Rockefeller Center on my tiny analog TV, but getting to see it in 32" HD!
-
Yes, DR DRUXY, I couldn't pass it up for the price....I had wanted FINIAN'S RAINBOW, but the coast of it alone at various sites was half the cost of the set.....so I bought it!
The thing with those Warner Bros. 4+ movie sets is that, if there are (at least) 2 or 3 films in the set that you want, it's cheaper to buy the whole set (on Amazon)...rather than the titles individually.
-
Yes, I have landed and am in the car and on the way home. Very hard to type in a car.

And that is great but confuses me when TV series pricing often shows better deals when you buy individual seasons than when you buy a complete series.

I missed you have potential buyers & in the inspection stage.

Does anyone else have a HINKY feeling about this Winona Ryder NEWS ITEM (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27988478/)?
Her career has basically been in the toilet since the shoplifting charge.
But this item lends itself to wild speculation....like maybe she considered the jewelry "a gift" from Bulgari because she deigned to wear it.
-
But has he been "bawdy"?
Only his hairdresser knows for sure...
His "hairdresser"? Would that be along the lines of BK's "Mister" Teddy?

It was actually a very promising looking season (i can't remember ever seeing such amazing audtions). But the people they chose were not the greatest. I mean they were good. But i haven't loved them the way i normally love at least one on the US version. The judges were okay (jean marc from the US version). And Mary murphy, mia michaels, dan and even blake from the US version were also judges at times (liked that part). I was pretty upset a couple of weeks ago when the best girl and the second best guy were voted out. My favorite is still around (nico) (there are 4 left). He is the one who was seen in pictures with Audrina Patridges from the Hills (she went to one of the tapings and liked him). I'm guessing he will win (he definitely should).

Hmmmmmmmmm I remember Piven as Cupid......interesting. Of course, VALENTINE seems to have disappeared as was discussed here a couple of weeks ago....and I just started watching it.

It is a WONDERFUL set, and all of the transfers are first-rate.

I watched last night's THE MENTALIST today as I ate lunch. The game was given away by focusing on the top shelf of the closet for so long. Thus, the big reveal wasn't very surprising. However, the episode was still marvelously entertaining. I LOVE that the show has a sense of humor and doesn't take itself too seriously.
-
9 more episodes of TRANSFORMERS watched. That makes 27 watched it all. Only 25 more to go.

I got an e-mail from Disney telling me the Blu-ray of the Cheetah Girls concert is on the way. I can't say that I'm jumping up and down with happiness, but after TRANSFORMERS, anything different sounds appealing.

1st of all: I'd love for you to just hop on a plane, fly in and get all this done for me before I get home from work. Barring that highly improbable scenario, there's no way "moi" could ever accomplish all that needs doing before "Life" airs this evening.
2nd of all: I can watch "Life" in HD without assembling the new TV stand, rearranging all my components, including HD-DVD and Blu-ray players, figuring out the HDMI port and moving all the excess stuff out of the way.

Set your DVR to record LIFE, and on the "off" chance you didn't finish before it airs, you could watch it later in the evening, maybe even enjoying a Blu-ray disc beforehand.
Actually, I know with a lot of components, all of this DOES take time, and assembling a new stand will add to the mix.
But it sure would be my #1 priority this evening. Supper be damned! ;D

I got a Panasonic 720p 50" Plasma back in May, but I got a deal after deal after deal, so it was VERY cheap for me. :) Otherwise, I love it. Great picture and (so far) no problems. But, I don't have a Blu-ray player...yet.

I am typing from my new computer, and the other is all boxed up for its trip to Tekserve.
Curiously, after being told that there was no scheduled pick up for Fed Ex today, a driver showed up at 4 pm and took the cartons.

Since you just watched the film, please remind me who is in the room with Kane when he dies, that hears him say "Rosebud?"

Prop 8 - The Musical (http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/c0cf508ff8/prop-8-the-musical-starring-jack-black-john-c-reilly-and-many-more-from-fod-team-jack-black-craig-robinson-john-c-reilly-and-rashida-jones)
But did it have to happen after the election?
It's creative, fun, convincing, and makes a great point. But wouldn't it have been more effective a month ago?
This was so funny! Thanks for posting it!
It was very cute. :)
-
Well, cabin door has been closed, so I guess I'll shut off this here iPhone.
I guess you don't know about the "Airplane Mode" on the iPhone. ;)
On my last flight we were told to turn them OFF that airplane mode wasn't allowed either. hmmm
Why were you looking at his lap?
-
Hmm...
Crime, ‘Cupid’ on ABC’s Midseason Schedule (http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/12/03/crime-cupid-on-abcs-midseason-schedule/)
It's the "Cupid" news - and star - that piqued my interest.
I am more interested in Nathan Fillion and his new series, CASTLE.

I missed you have potential buyers & in the inspection stage.
HOME SELLING, CALMING THE BUYERS, AND CLOSING VIBES!!!
How did you post that after coleslaw quoted it?

I could not have asked for a more beautiful day to come home to. I'm really loving December so far! I came home to about twelve packages - various and sundried CDs, and the master element for the January Kritzerland limited edition soundtrack (there's one being announced on Christmas Eve, but his one follows that four weeks later), a book, and some DVDs. I got unpacked and then decided to get the long jog out of the way, as I knew I'd be too zonked to do it later. I tried to run more at the pace I've been doing and I did indeed shave about seven minutes from my usual time. I then did some errands, then had my splurge meal o' the week - ribs at the Kansas City Barbecue - I really wanted a treat and that was it. I then went to the mail place and was rather shocked and amazed to find my big box o' stuff had arrived - yes, the box that I shipped yesterday using three day supersaver arrived in one day. I also got six small book royalty checks and a not quite as small Nudie Musical royalty check, so that was faboo. I'm now listening to a CD (a Michel Legrand/Jacques Demy collection), doing laundry, and soon I shall sit on the couch like so much fish and watch a DVD or three. Oh, and the second I got home I watched Turkey Lurkey Time, courtesy of Adam, who gave me a DVD of the footage he shot (just the opening number and TLT - the rest will be here early next week). I've had several calls, but I haven't been answering the phone - I'll return them tomorrow.
-
I'm hoping Adam will put up Turkey Lurkey on YouTube in a few days.

Meanwhile, here are some after the event photographs posted on broadwayworld:

Since you just watched the film, please remind me who is in the room with Kane when he dies, that hears him say "Rosebud?"
Someone dies? I've never watched the movie. I did buy a copy early this year.

Nice. :D

So many lovely Dear Readers in The Living Room, all at one time! You'd think they'd announced a sale on underpants or something! :)
You mean they're not on sale?!?!?!!?!
Well, I believe many DRs would probably gather all at once for "underpants" whether or not they're on sale.
I had to buy new underpants for "The Orgy" in Reefer Madness: The Musical (http://www.buyolympia.com/events/?details=366)! :)
Are you talking about the cast party?

A couple of them. :)

Well, as much as I'd love to stay (no, really...I would), it's time for dinner and then rehearsal.
Until later!
;D

What great pics! Thanks for the link, I was looking at the BWW.com site earlier and didn't see anything....
My favorite is MR BK with MISS JILL O'HARA!!
-
I liked those photos that Adam Cates posted on facebook. If you wanted to know anyone's name you just zeroed in on them. Still, no phone numbers, though. He must have been talking with Coleslaw.
-
I keep checking YOUTube for Turkey Lurkey time, but keep coming up with some really AWFUL versions of it......
Watching SECRET MILLIONAIRE which is sort of creepy and sort of compelling all at once.
-
Hi all!
It's down right cold down here in the land of sunshine. 52 degrees in the house before I put the space heater on.
I'm so very glad that everything went well last night. I wish I could have been there. I have the tree lighting from Rockerfeller Center. I remember that's where the eating tour began and that I skated there. Ahh memories!
-
DR JRand, I received the CD today. Thank you so very much again! I still haven't found my copy. :)
-
I'm so happy for you and your friend, Stan, DR TCB. Vibes DO work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And speaking of vibes, I'm sending them to our dear Vixmom and all who have need of them!

Danise, how nice to see you online. Thanks for the vibes for Stan.
-
Jane, what kind of job is Craig looking to find?
-
Hi Danise. I'm glad you finally made it to the dog park. I know how difficult that first time had to be. I liked they all helped you with your decision to keep Sheena as an only child ;).
DR MBarnum has only the one dog while working all day. DD Bosco seems to be very happy. Are there any other DRs who leave one dog at home during the day?

PAGE ELEVEN!!!

DR TCB, I'm not exactly sure. He has a number of interest & qualifications with his degrees. He would like work with a non-profit organization, government work (city, state & federal), or a company he respects. A number of the jobs he has looked at are as an analyst, fund raising & I'm not sure what else. His undergraduate degree was in communications & media.

Maybe. ;)

Do any of you computer/internet experts know what i might have to clear/check on my computer so that i can click on the articles in realitytvworld.com.
I just keep getting that they are not available. But others can view them! I rebooted my computer but that did not help. Thanks.
Is there a chance you been blocked, banned? ;)
Otherwise, just clear your cache.
I don't think i could be banned since i can read the site (message boards) and get to the site. The messages just show as unavailable.
I used to read this site a lot but have not for a few months.
How do i clear my cache? Thanks.

G'night!

Thanks DR Ginny :)
I know Craig is familiar with the pay scale, not sure about the rest. I have sent it on to him.

DR JENNIFER if you are using a PC click on TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and you should find a tab to clear the cache.
But if everything else is working, you made need a JAVA update or something like that.
But I don't know anything about computers.

Almost time for TOP CHEF!!!

Sorry about that, the phone rang and it was Thelma. We had planned on going to the "Lights of Love" at the Hospice House tomorrow night but she can't make it.
I don't know if I will go either. That's a long drive back into town and I hate to drive at night. Maybe I will just come home and light a candle in memory of my parents.
-
Thanks DR Ginny :)
I know Craig is familiar with the pay scale, not sure about the rest. I have sent it on to him.

As for Sheena being "only" dog, we'll see. I'm still of the mindset that if a dog comes into my life that needs me, I will give it a home.
-
But for right now, I will stop looking at the pound because it breaks my heart.
-
DR Danise - I also watched the program from Rockefeller Center and wished I could be back in NYC (not for that mob scene, but just in the city with our friends).
-
Well, I have to get my lunch made for tomorrow and I have some things to do before I hit the sack.
Goodnight all!

Good Evening!
Well, I realized, decided that I needed to take an e-break a little while ago, so I headed out for a bit and met up with a friend for a nice walk up and own and back and forth the Upper West Side. It's an absolutely crisp and clear night out. Cold, but not too cold.
Then I came back here and made dinner: roasted brussel sprouts and shallots, and brown rice. -I forgot to defrost the pork loin. ;)
-
DR Jennifer - Just click on "Help" in your browser, and search for "cache".
-
Thanks again DR Ginny. I have sent it on to him.

Glad the Cd arrived DR DANISE!
-
Yes, I think a nurse was in the room when the word was spoken.....or did she hear the crash and come back in.....been awhile since I watched it.....

Back to Top Chef

Thanks for the home sale vibes. Today turned out to not be as bad as I expected. I met the buyers for the first time and they were not as nervous as it seemed from various emails. We're waiting to hear what repairs will be requested. I hope I don't choke.

Great Photos!!!!
But where are Alex Rybeck and Tony Roberts??
And what was the verdict about seeing the photos on Facebook? Do you have to sign in or is there a link to them I might have missed in an earlier posting?
-
Regarding RON's comments about Christmas music, I used to listen to our local classical radio station, WGMS, a lot and they would play wall-to-wall Christmas music starting just after Thanksgiving. Granted, it was the best of the genre and much of it very nice, but I'd get soooo sick of it. I now listen to NPR and so far that has not been the case. OK, call me a Scrooge, but enough is enough!!
-
Good news DR Jeanne & vibes the news continues to be good!

DR Michael S - No "verdict" involved. There was no "Public Link" posted. Since those photos are part of Adam Cates' profile, he has to be the one to provide the "public link".
-
I watched enough episodes of TRANSFORMERS so that I now have 10 left. That's 10 too many, of course, but I should be able to finish it by tomorrow evening. There are no bonus features on the discs, so when the episodes are finished, that's the end.
-
I skimmed through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke and Brian were on though not much of interest. Since we already knew Brian had been previously married, the only thing I can think that would make Luke excited about finding out her name and address is so he can quiz her on what ended their marriage.
-
Tonight's LIFE was an entertaining episode though I found the murderer very easy to spot. Danny's love life isn't very interesting, but the rest of the episode was lots of fun.
-
And I loved LAW & ORDER tonight. Interesting case, and it's always fun to see the detectives and lawyers out of their element in someone else's jurisdiction.
-
DR JENNIFER if you are using a PC click on TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and you should find a tab to clear the cache.
That is what i had gotten up to before i asked. But there is nothing called "cache" on my computer. Nor when i do a search like DR jose said.
At that step there are temporary internet files where you can "delete cookies" or "delete files" and there history where you can "clear history".

I have had a very long but very good day. I had 4 hearings, two in federal court and two in state court. I know the result of two of them and they were very positive. The other two are under advisement. Anyway, it was a very long day. After work I came home, realized I needed to go to Petconia (that's where I tell the cats they may their food) I managed to get to Curves and then went to SPAMALOT. The first act was really good with lots of energy from the audience and the cast. The energy seemed to fade in the second act. The audience loved it, but it seemed a little flat to me.
But, it was great to see a show, it's been awhile.

-
I am exhausted. I spent a lot of time and energy preparing for today's hearings. Tomorrow is an office day so although there is lots to do, there isnt' the pressure of a looming deadline with lots to write and prepare and argue. At least not tomorrow.
So for now...I must sleep.,,,night
-
I have just a bit of writing to finish, and then I'm heading down to bed.
Good night!

You can clear them all with no harm, unless you really want to keep track of your browsing history. But if you have the sites bookmarked, then you'll be fine.

I just turned down doing Dr. Learly on Bullshit. It was going to shoot on Monday, my birthday, and I just don't want to work a ten-hour day. Plus, I wrote the producer of the show a really nice e-mail saying how much I loved writing the first season and how I'd love to come back and do that. For whatever reasons, at some point after season two (which I was asked to do but couldn't because David had already enlisted me to work with him on another show), this producer got a bug up his ASS about me - I could never find out what it was. Apparently, they came close to calling me in last season because the people they hired weren't funny and didn't know how to run an edit bay, but the strike happened, and they ran out of money, too. So, my e-mail was really friendly and nice and this guy didn't have the courtesy to respond to it, not even a "thanks for writing, but it's just not going to work" sort of thing. So, I'm not feeling comfortable about doing this right now, especially not for what they pay. By the time taxes are taken out, it's not worth it, if I'm not feeling comfortable.
-
I MIGHT have said yes if it had been another day next week - although, maybe not.

Jose - Did that Cd find its way to Jim? :)
It's in his cute, blue-eyed hands as I type this. ;)

Laundry is all put away, and I'm listening to a deelightful CD by Joao Donato with orchestrations by Claus Ogerman.

As for Sheena being "only" dog, we'll see. I'm still of the mindset that if a dog comes into my life that needs me, I will give it a home.
I think that is a good idea. Somewhere is the perfect match for you and Sheena.
As for Dog Bosco, he is an only dog, but I don't think he would mind one way or the other if I got a second dog. My situation is just that I don't have the room in this tiny house.
Freddy on the other hand would be quite happy to have a second dog living here...especially if it were one that would actually pay attention to him.
