Well, you've read the notes, the notes had mayo to spare, and now it is time for you to post until the cinco cows come home - for them it's Cinco de Mooyo.
-
And the word of the day is: FLOCCULENT!
-
As promised, I'm giving you loyal dear readers the jump on the next Kritzerland release. Because I already know what my big online dealer is taking of this title, it's going to sellout very quickly. You know the routine - if you'd like to pre preorder, send 19.98 plus 3.75 shipping (I'm really trying not to raise the shipping price, but we'll see what happens when the rates go up on Monday - hopefully we won't have to - but even if we do, you'll get the old rate) via paypal.com to kritzerland at adelphia dot net. Also, mum's the word - we're not officially announcing until next Monday or Tuesday.
THE WHOLE WORLD LOVES TOM JONES! ACADEMY AWARD-WINNER FOR BEST SCORE OF 1963!
Kritzerland is proud to present its newest limited edition CD – the original motion picture soundtrack from Tom Jones, with music by John Addison.
Tom Jones hit movie screens in 1963, the era of the kitchen sink/angry young man dramas from England. Gritty, realistic, naturalistic films like Room At The Top and Look Back In Anger – those were all the rage. So, how did a low-budget period film adapted from a classic Henry Fielding novel find an audience and become one of the most critically lauded and popular comedies, not only of 1963, but of all time? How did this little upstart film capture the hearts and tickle the funny bones of the world, receiving ten Academy Award nominations, and taking home the prize in four rather impressive categories – Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium, and Best Music, Score – Substantially Original (yes, that was the real category name), against such competition as Hud, Cleopatra, How The West Was Won, Lilies Of The Field, Fellini’s 8 ½, Love With The Proper Stranger, This Sporting Life, The L-Shaped Room, The Birds, The Great Escape, and some other pretty terrific films? Would anyone in his or her right mind have predicted this freewheeling ribald romp would become the film sensation it became?
A good deal of credit must go to composer John Addison, who came up with a score that was as fresh, vibrant, ravishing, rowdy, and raucous as the film. Whether it’s the harpsichord accompaniment to the silent-movie opening, or the gorgeous love theme for Tom and Sophie, or any of the other wonderfully melodic themes he created, it’s no surprise he not only won the Academy Award, but also that the Tom Jones soundtrack was a huge best-selling album on United Artists Records.
The original LP was released in both stereo and mono – or was it? For years, it’s been presumed that the stereo tapes were lost, because only the mono album master was in the vaults of MGM. However, as anyone who owned the stereo pressing knew, it wasn’t stereo at all – both LP releases, despite what the album cover said, were mono – no stereo tapes ever existed – the score was recorded and released in mono only. The original LP sequence had nothing to do with the way the music was presented in the film – the tracks were wildly out of film sequence order, cues were edited together, and for the most part the track titles had no correlation to what the music was actually accompanying in the film. For this release, we have put the tracks in film order, and we’ve unearthed the film’s original “End Titles” music, herein released for the first time. The track titles have been changed to reflect how the music is actually used in the film. As a bonus, we also include the entire original LP sequence.
This release is limited to 1000 copies only. The price is $19.98 plus shipping.
CDs will ship the third week of June – however, preorders placed directly through Kritzerland usually ship one to five weeks earlier.

Because we had access to amazing color stills, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more money and make the entire booklet color. It will be very attractive.

Good morning, all! I've been up since 5:30, and in about 40 minutes I'll take the subway down to Penn Station. I will be E&T for the next three days while I play in DC with friends from the Library of Congress and several orchestrators I know.
TOM JONES is one of my favorite movies and I want this CD! I can't do a thing about it till the weekend, BK, so hold one for me.
Now I need to make the bed, tote the garbage to the basement, and pack.
Hold the fort down.
Happy Birthday, DR George!

Thanks Fred. I added him to the list.

I took the Orchestrations list from the Tony Web site. Larry Blank isn't listed there. Orchestrations are not up at the Times site. That's where I got some of the early lists but it's not complete.
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And the train left Buffalo about 30 minutes ago. Just about nine more hours to go.
-
Thanks to DR Ben for the Tony info - when's the show?
I'm off to Dayton for the day - bye for now!
-
Happy Happy Birthday, George!
-
I was about to ask a out Larry Blank's nomination too. He's not listed - nor did he come up in the Twitter feed for @thetonyawards. Was he left off the list - which seems to be Mr. Blank's fate (Broadway PRODUCERS, movie of CHICAGO), or was he overlooked?
-
And the word of the day is: FLOCCULENT!
And The Song Of The Day Is: COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS INSTEAD OF SHEEP

The Times still doesn't list the Orchestrations nominees. It's only at the Tony Web site.
I hope Larry Blank is nominated.
Now I have to get a standing room ticket for God of Carnage.

Glad to see Mr. Blank among the nominees.

Let's just say that eating ground glass comes to mind in relation to Rock of Ages.
Maybe I'm too old. I didn't like that music in the 80s and I don't like it any better in a Broadway house. Mr. Atkinson must be tired of spinning.

The tacos I had in Nogales with machaca and avacado. They were yummy!
There was a place in Phoenix, can't remember the name of it now, but they had Mexican seafood and had this great shrimp on french fries. It was dripping in garlic butter and would probably make me sick now, but I loved it when I lived in Phx in the 80s.
I like most Mexican food. I prefer Sonoran style to the Tex-Mex or New Mexico- Mexican. They are so hot that you can't taste the food and have numb taste buds the rest of the day.

I wonder how Homophobe Supreme
Marion Barry (http://www.365gay.com/blog/043009-marion-barry-is-a-liar/)

And will Congress let it stand?
In previous times any time something like this came up it was reviewed and sometimes dismissed by members of Congress who "know better" how to govern the citizens of DC.

RIP Dom deLuise!
Oh, my! I hadn't read that. So sorry to read it.
Dom DeLuise, the comic actor who starred in several Mel Brooks films, has died, according to TMZ.com.
He was 75.
According to the celebrity gossip site, DeLuise died "peacefully in his sleep" at around 6 p.m. Monday night at a hospital in Los Angeles.
DeLuise starred in such Brooks films as "Blazing Saddles," "Silent Movie" and "History of the World: Part I." He also starred in Brooks' "Spaceballs," a spoof of "Star Wars," playing Pizza the Hutt.
He also starred in the comedy drama "Fatso," which was written and directed by Brooks' late wife, Anne Bancroft.
He was also a frequent co-star of Burt Reynolds, appearing with the actor in such films as "The Cannonball Run" and its sequel, as well as "Smokey and the Bandit II."
In recent years DeLuise did a lot of voice work for animated shows, including "Duck Dodgers," "The Wild Thornberries," "Hercules" and "All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series." His role of Itchy Itchiford in the show was a continuation of his turn in the movie version of "All Dogs Go to Heaven," which also starred the voice of Reynolds.
DeLuise also voiced roles in such animated films as "An American Tail" and its sequel, "The Secret of NIHM" and "Oliver & Company."
The actor also had his own comedy series, "The Dom DeLuise Show," from 1987-1988.

Does TAR have their finale at 8pm next sunday?
That is the same time as the CELEBRITY APPRENTICE finale? It doesn't really matter for me cause i can catch up on APPRENTICE at 9pm. But how stupid if they put the two finales at the same time!
-
Happy Birthday, DR George!!!
Travel vibes to DR Elmore and DR Jose

Sorry DR MattH, i had not read page 3 for some reason. So i didn't see that you had already posted about LIFE. At least they prepared me for it.
I guess in a week or two they will start the saturday finales of all the ABC shows they cancelled (eli stone, pushing daisies, dirty sexy money). I am looking forward to seeing all of these.

Where would one find episodes of PEYTON PLACE?
In bk's DVD player, evidently.

DR Cillaliz (don't read this if you don't want to know the teams for next week), re: CELEBRITY APPRENTICE.

Yep, DR Jenn--Sunday is the TAR finale. I doubt that it will be a two hour episode though.
SPOILER -- awww--y'all watched it already, didn't ya?
I guess I could have been satisfied no matter who made the final three. While my opinions of the three who made it hasn't changed much, I did wind up with more respect for the Kisha half of the Kisha and Jen team. I wouldn't have minded them being in the final three in place of the redheads (though I did think that Cara did a bang up job with the food thing.)
At this point, unless they make some kind of major misstep, I say that Tammy and Victor will be the winners.
-
Thanks, DR MBARNUM....although DR DAW's answer was also intriguing. I was wondering if PP would ever get an official release.
-
Was PEYTON PLACE ever broadcast in color?

I would say that in the finale there is absolutely no way to predict who will win.
All of these teams have come to the mat first. Obviously tammy/victor are the
strongest. But in a one leg race anybody can win. Plus they won't have the
advantage once they leave china. I don't think they have been doing as good
lately (they sucked in the swimming challenge) and could have easily been
eliminated there if the other team had known how to swim. I am curious if i
am the only person cheering for the redheads? I think any of the 3 teams
would not be totally upsetting. But i really want to see the first all woman winners!

Was PEYTON PLACE ever broadcast in color?
It did switch to color at the beginning of the 1966 season. However it NEVER had a hiatus or showed reruns on the network during its original run.....for a total of 514 episodes.
-
A great synopsis of the television series can be found here:
http://wapedia.mobi/en/Peyton_Place_(TV_series)
-
For some reason, the episode where Rita Harrington had her baby still sticks in my mind. Other than that, the only thing I remember is Allison's lonely walk out of Peyton Place in a crane shot.
-
Disappointed (though not surprised) to find out that NBC did indeed cancel LIFE.
:(
-
Oh yes, I remember Allison leaving as well......and earlier when she chopped of her hair....and Cleveland Amory's review in TV GUIDE.... "I don't mind that she can't get a different inflection, but couldn't she at least get a different speed?"
-
LIFE has been canceled? Wow...and I have some EBAY auctions just ending.....

I'm sure even Liza herself would find this funny:
BrianJ on another chat board said: "If Liza wins, I hope she is gracious enough to salute the other nominees. Hearing her attempts at saying "SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW" and "SOUL OF SHAOLIN" would certainly be a highlight of the telecast."

I can hardly wait! Then they will be APPLES and I will be PC.

And I really can't believe just how wonderful this whole long-weekend excursion has turned out to be. I mean, I had a great time in Chicago, and this train ride so far today has been, as Seth Rudetsky would say, HIGH-LARIOUS!
-
I'm sure even Liza herself would find this funny:
BrianJ on another chat board said: "If Liza wins, I hope she is gracious enough to salute the other nominees. Hearing her attempts at saying "SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW" and "SOUL OF SHAOLIN" would certainly be a highlight of the telecast."
;D

Hello, everyone.
DF&H#2 and I had a very good Mexican dinner last night. I just don't eat big meals like that much anymore. He is very good at picking restaurants and has introduced me to quite a few good ones.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR GEORGE!
I like Fred's idea of double birthday wishes--so here they are:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR GEORGE!
May you receive all you wish for.
-
Thanks to both Jane and David for the vibes yesterday. They are both appreciated and needed!
-
Too bad BK doesn't read my posts. :(
-
More packing to do. Did some already this morning, but have more to go. If this doesn't make me a minimalist, I don't know what would.
-
We DRs are supposed to mention when we're doing laundry, aren't we? Yes, I'm doing laundry, too.
-
TTFN, kids.

Thanks, Jeanne! Of course, since I didn't buy a lottery ticket, that wish can't come true. ;)

PAGE SIX DANCE!!

Well...
First someone was taken off the train earlier at Rochester...
And now it appears someone else is being escorted off the train... Well, maybe more than one... :-\
-
And now for the scheduled one-hour layover in Albany.
And they are taking a young gentleman off the train... Apparently, he stopped taking his meds... :-\
-
What KIND of train are you on?
-
I wonder if MR BK will tell us if EACH of the Peyton Place episodes opens with the credits - or has SHOUT given us the chopped up syndication episodes and only ONE opening credit sequence per disk....I wonder.
-
What KIND of train are you on?
Well, it sounds like it ain't the Chattanooga Choo Choo!!!!
-
***SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES***
(in advance)
for our very own bk!!!!!!!!!!
-
With all these travels here on HHW....we may have to start showing our passports when we log in!
-
What KIND of train are you on?
I'm still on Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited with service between Chicago and New York City and Boston.
At least I think I am. <cue theme from "The Twilight Zone">
-
I watched "Rich And Famous" last night; it has been years since I'd seen it. I wanted to see the party filmed at Lon McCallister's beach house and see the cameos by Christopher Isherwood, Don Bachardy, Frances Bergen, Gavin Lambert, etc. I remembered the seduction scene with Matt Latanzi, but I'd forgotten just how sexy it was. I had totally forgotten the scene with Michael Brandon on the plane. Definitely all worth seeing again.
-
And now for the scheduled one-hour layover in Albany.
And they are taking a young gentleman off the train... Apparently, he stopped taking his meds... :-\
Jose, Take your meds, clean your plate and maybe keep your Monkey hidden for this part of the trip!

You should be safe once you cross the border. But for God's sake, make sure you wear the hat they gave you at the station when you go through the checkpoint. And listen to every word that Myrle Streep tells you--she's on our side.

Happiest of birthdays, George!

I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I just saw where Greg Jbara is up for a Tony this year - merely a year and a half after making an appearance in a little thing called "Two's Company: An Evening of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz" I heard of... :P
Congrats to him!

Yes, yes, and yes.
I forgot about Monkey. We wouldn't want him taken off the train.

I woke up tired this morning. I watched all of DWTS and MEDIUM!
And was DANCING WITH THE STARS two hours as I said yesterday it was going to be?
-
Was PEYTON PLACE ever broadcast in color?
Yes. The first two seasons were black and white; the rest were in color.
-
Well, BRIDE WARS did come in today, so my day off turned into a work day. More about it in a minute.
-
I began my afternoon by watching the first forty minutes or so of MEDIUM. Very intriguing episode with lots of strange visions and Ariel's story very upsetting indeed.
But I had to put it on hold at 1 p.m. so I could get started on my work.
-
And Congrats to you on your 1111th Post!!
;)
Does this mean I get to make a wish?
Sure...why not?? :D
-
Then I watched BRIDE WARS. Now, I have nothing against "chick flicks." I adored THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and liked SEX AND THE CITY a lot. I even liked 97 DRESSES more than most people. And I was a gooey mess over P.S. I LOVE YOU.
But this was one lame flick. I haven't seen Kate Hudson in a ton of stuff, but she doesn't have any of her mother's playfulness and ease with romantic comedy. I found her brittle and dull.
Anne Hathaway was the better of the two stars, but the script really let these two actresses down. And other talented folks like Candice Bergen and Kristen Johnson weren't helped either by the slack script and so-so direction.
-
After watching the previews we decided to pass on this film. Thanks for confirming our decision.:)
-
What KIND of train are you on?
Definitely not the "A Train"!
-
I'm gratified to learn that Fox has renewed "Fringe". One of my weekly favorites!
-
So, it turns out the gentleman I've been sitting next to, more or less, and talking to for a good portion of this trip is none other than AIDS activist and comedian, Jerry Calumn. And it seems that we have some friends in common in both L.A. and New York City. Small world, isn't it.
*I'd post a link or a pic, but since cut-and-paste is not yet available on the iPhone (but it's coming soon!), you'll just have to Google him. He reminds me of trainer Bob from "The Biggest Loser". :)

I've been watching this, also. :)

[Timberland] Library system struggles amid economic crunch (http://www.theolympian.com/editorials/story/839804.html)
-
So you won't get laid off on your birthday, right George?
-
I somehow lost my internet connection, so I just stayed logged off and wrote up my review. Now that this is finished, I got back on-line, and lo and behold, the internet is back to working again!
-
Anyway, back to BRIDE WARS. The bonus features were really crummy. There were product placements for the Plaza and Vera Wang disguised as bonus features.
I did like one funny bonus with three of the male featured players hiding out in their "man den" on the set, talking about their feelings, expressing admiration for certain male stars' best attributes, and discussing clothes and fashion accessories.
-
Then I zipped through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The boys were on, but not a lot happened. Of course, Damien is still up to no good, but we're still not quite sure exactly what he's planning yet.
-
I squeezed the Charmin and Mrs. Charmin in the commercial. I have never squeezed or known anyone named Carmen.
Well, to be honest, Carmen used to be my main squeeze. . .but, we'll talk about that some other day.
-
And I went back and watched anther 40 minutes of MEDIUM. I still didn't get finished. I have about 20 minutes of the broadcast left.
Loved the scene with Allison and Ariel.
-
Tonight I need to finish MEDIUM. I need to watch LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT from Sunday, and I want to finish WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION which I started last night.
-
It has started to POUR down here and there's a lot of thunder and lightning, so I'm hopping off-line and going downstairs. Won't turn on the home theater until this storm passes by.
I'll read a book instead.
WBBL.
-
So you won't get laid off on your birthday, right George?
Fortunately, no. If there's going to be any laying off, it won't be any time soon...fortunately.
-
And I'm in the top 10%, seniority-wise. 8)

Oy, whatta day. First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!
Betsy and I have been madly cleaning all day preparing for Daniel Stein's impending arrival. Did any of the Angelinos see his just-closed starring tour as the Jewish concentration camp clown? I can't remember the name of the play right now.
-
BK, I'm assuming it's still one shipping charge for 2 CDs. I shall order HOF and TJ forthwith, or perhaps withforth just to be contrary.

Any cake and ice cream yet, George?
I went to lunch with some co-workers (they paid :D) at a local pizza parlour and they bought me a dessert...I chose the four-layer red velvet cake. It was quite good! ;D No ice cream, though. But it was more than enough.
-
I don't think red velvet cake needs ice cream-sounds yummy. What kind of frosting? I like it with cream cheese frosting.
-

-
I don't think red velvet cake needs ice cream-sounds yummy. What kind of frosting? I like it with cream cheese frosting.
It had thin layers of both chocolate and cream cheese frosting in between the layers and over the whole thing. As I said, it was very good.

Der B and I have had a very nice day.
We drove into town (yep, me driving), and took one bag each with us to the Farmer's Market. There were threats of rain, but it didn't. While there, we met plenty of nice dogs and their owners (one of these days we'll have to take one or two of our own), and did some enjoyable shopping. A couple of gals who run a nut house sold me some candied ginger, pine nuts, and unsalted roasted peanuts. I purchased some fingerling potatoes which are really more the size of a short arm, and a chinese noodle salad from a new vegetarian-friendly joint called Hobos - along with some chicken breasts I've thawed and will be poaching, I think dinner is planned. Der B meanwhile found a couple of tomato plants that are already nine inches tall each and should be good in the garden.
After dropping off our trove at the car, we wandered around downtown for a while, covering a lot of the places we didn't hit last week. I was busy collecting menus from the various restaurants, der B was just enjoying the day. Along the way, we met more dogs and their people, and chatted with a very nice lady from New Jersey who was trying to find a place to treat her hubby for a birthday dinner (George is not alone! Truly!). She was frustrated by the number of fine dining places that are still on winter hours - meaning they aren't open on Tuesdays - and was glad for us to give a few recommendations, such as Porcini House, where der B took me for my birthday dinner last August.
All and all, a good time was had.
I'll be paying for it this week at work - we've got an audit coming up a week from Thursday, and upper management loves to make the stores paranoid whenever the auditor rolls in. :-\
-
Back from rehearsal, lunch, errands, and must now pack.
-

SWW & DB, sounds like you enjoyed George's birthday :)

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE
-
Good Evening!
My train pulled into Penn Station right at 6:25pm as scheduled. Of course, we would have arrived at 6:00 had their been a gate/platform long enough for our train. In any case...
I'm home!
:)
-
And in a little while, I shall do some laundry and start (re)packing my luggage for my trip to the Philippines.
-
Our esteemed BK is going to New York.
Meanwhile, DR Elmore is running off to DC, and Jose is dashing to the Philippines.
Please, I hope our esteemed one does not take this personally!
-
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE
Thank you, ArnoldMBrockman! ;D

Page eight planes and trains dance!

Well, it's time for me to go to my parents' house for home-made tacos for dinner. I'm still pretty full from the pizza lunch, but I think I'll manage. ;)
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes! :D
Until later!

DR Michael S - "Our Predictors"? They weren't mine.

Jane, thanks to you and Keith and Sherlock for that lovely card. Nicky and I truly appreciated it.

Not really. It was going to be a toss-up. At least not according to "my predictors".

These were some predictions I posted the other day.
I really wish there was a way to write something in a way that shows that a posting to be in a sarcastic tone
It is meant to be that way. I never speak for the HHW as a whole.
A lot of times my postings are meant (I hope) to be sarcastic, humorous etc
But I feel that I am being kept after school for how the tone of my postings as pereceived.

Kind of tacky, but sincere!
-
DR Michael S - First of all, I apologize for any snarkiness on my part. And, yes, I was being snarky.
As far as those predictions are concerned, what bothered me was the fact that it came across to me as if you were making those predictions yourself, at the very least agreeing with them, even though all you were doing was cutting and pasting some information from another site. Cut and paste's are fine - we all do it - but it would be nice to know what you actually thought of the predictions and the results.
*And there's probably a bit of the jaded New Yorker and jaded Broadway pit musician in me coming out there too.
Finally, I know we all deal with time restraints and aren't always able to read and concentrate on each and every post, but just popping in from time to time to post something you saw somewhere else... And then popping in again to see if anyone responded to your post or query... And then not taking the time to respond to anyone else's posts... I guess I'm just wishing for some more interaction.

Umm... Well, why, umm.. Yes, I did. :)
*He actually travelled from Los Angeles on the train - he's making the big move to NYC (from LA). It was such a joy watching his reactions on the train as we travelled down the Hudson. He was reading McCullough's "1776", and he started to realize that he was passing places he had just read about in the book. And as we pulled into Penn Station, he was simply giddy. He had been in NYC a couple of times before, but as he put it, "This was his first time arriving as a New Yorker." :)
**And we planned to meet up for dinner and drinks once I'm back from the Philippines. :D

Well... Even I haven't seen some of the nominees this season. I believe DR Ben is the most "qualified" DR at this point and time.

For those DRs on the West Coast who don't normally watch "Dancing With The Stars", well... I just happened to tune in when the ESPN guys started their "Dance Center" skit.. -If you've ever wanted to know what Bruno Tognoli looks like shirtless, well.... ;D

I spilled two bottles of nail polish all over the bathroom floor. I did my best to clean up the mess & Keith vacuumed the glass. I need to go back & touch up the areas that didn't come out, at least try as I think the damage is done.

Well, I guess I'm just going to do my laundry in the morning. Just sayin'. ;)

I feel so lost now that my Monday night TV programming has been decimated by the season-ending finales last week of "Chuck" and "Heroes." I'm all caught up on my DVR viewing this evening and there's still plenty of time to spare before "The Biggest Loser's" next-to-last episode airs on NBC. Happily, I'll get another couple of shows on my DVR cache this evening.

I spilled two bottles of nail polish all over the bathroom floor. I did my best to clean up the mess & Keith vacuumed the glass. I need to go back & touch up the areas that didn't come out, at least try as I think the damage is done.
Will you be taking care of those touch ups with more nail polish?
-
LOL-Nail polish remover & then vinegar water to remove the polish remover. It doesn't look too bad. I doubt I'll notice it.

'night

I got quite a bit watched this evening.
I began by finishing WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION which I had begun last night. What a marvelous film and Laughton gives such a sly, brilliant performance.
-
I finished MEDIUM which still had about a half hour to go. Wow! And more to come! It will be hard to wait a week to see how this all plays out!
-
Next, I watched Sunday night's LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. What a sad story that was!
-
Then, because I had some time before I wanted to start watching NCIS, I took a disc out of the NCIS Season Five set and watched an episode from last season. This was the one with the little boy whose fingerprint showed up on the APHIS database as a kidnapped child. Really good show, one of the best from last season.
-
If anyone in my vicinity had been inhaling fingernail polish remover - EVEN I wouldn't look too bad!!!
-
Then I watched tonight's new episode of NCIS, the conclusion of the two-parter. The ending was a shocker! Not that much mystery to the case, but I was not prepared for that ending for the pilot part of the episode for the NCIS spinoff show.

Bessie Mae Mucho was mentioned in the notes. Isn't she the sister of Spanish beauty Kay Serrah?

I feel so lost now that my Monday night TV programming has been decimated by the season-ending finales last week of "Chuck" and "Heroes." I'm all caught up on my DVR viewing this evening and there's still plenty of time to spare before "The Biggest Loser's" next-to-last episode airs on NBC. Happily, I'll get another couple of shows on my DVR cache this evening.
I'm sure you'll find other "viewing options" - mainly DVDs - to keep you occupied on Monday nights.
-
I thoroughly enjoyed THE MENTALIST tonight. I always enjoy plots dealing with con games and con men and women, and this week's show did not disappoint. But the police certainly made a couple of bone-headed mistakes in the early going.
-
OK - The day has most definitely caught up with me...
Goodnight.
-
And I concluded my evening with tonight's AMERICAN IDOL. The quality of the performances receded with each new singer.
Adam was best, Allison was next, Kris was next, and Danny was last. Poor Danny trying to be Adam with the shrieking last note that was one of the most painful things I've ever heard wailed on the show from a singer of his ability. His voice actually began wearing out about halfway through the song, and it got progressively worse until that screeching last note. Argh! How terrible.

I miss them, too, but in my case, I have THE CLOSER to look forward to fairly soon.

DR KERRY I did not know the history of the filming of RICH AND FAMOUS and party scene filmed at the home of Lon McCallister.....is he in the scene?

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEAR GEORGE AKA George 2
-
TRAVEL VIBES for BK, Elmore and Jose!!!!
-
I worked 8 hours today came home and fell asleep woke up and ate a little, napped some more and now I am here for the nonce but I must get back to sleep
-
Good night friends! Have a lovely tomorrow!
-
I'm thinking now I may just do THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE tomorrow. It isn't a long film, and there aren't that many bonuses on it either, and since I have no plans to eat lunch out tomorrow, it'll be convenient to go ahead and get it out of the way.
It certainly doesn't look like I should expect BIG this week. These Fox Blu-rays seem to take about a week to get here from California.
-
Looks like it's time for me to head downstairs to bed.
Good night!
-
Notes are written and will probably go up around nine-thirty, at which point I'll try to get some sleep.
-
Back from seeing NINE TO FIVE. I was simply not expecting the second act to be a tear-inducing powerhouse. the reviews I read did not lead me to expect that.

I dislike the redheads with every fiber of my being...or at least the redhead who is so mean to anyone who does not speak English. I honestly can't tell the two gals apart.

A most happy birthday to you DR George!!!! Hope it was a wonderful day!

Good evening! I've started another painting project. I didn't plan to paint my dining room until later in the summer, but I bought this really cool display case from a friend that will be perfect to display some of my antique glass (my grandmothers and mother collected it) Anyway the case is huge, so I decided I need to paint the dining room before the case is delivered on Thursday or Friday. I painted the wall where the case will go. I like it and will post photos when I'm farther along with the project.
-
Now it's time for sleep. It was a long day at work followed by painting. Tomorrow I have to be in court 30 miles from here at 9:00 AM, so I better get some sleep.

Notes are up and I'll change the topic now and we'll get a nice head start for tomorrow.
