Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a happening, and now it is time for you to post until the happening cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PARADIORTHOSIS!
-
DR Ginny - so sorry to hear about DBIL John's setback. ***MEGA-VIBES*** continue for him and for his family.
-
I stayed up until midnight finishing a murder mystery. I really have no business being up just four hours later. :-\

And the word of the day is: PARADIORTHOSIS!
And The Song Of The Day Is: COULD I LEAVE YOU?
-
Sunday morning greetings from Lima, OH! We were able to sleep in until the time when we usually are leaving the house on Sundays.
Just wanted to check in and say "thank you" to DRs td, Cillaliz, Jose, and DAW for their vibes for John.

Ginny-
NEW FRESH HEALTH MARIMBAS FOR JOHN
-
I watched MR BK in The Last of Howard on The Partridge Family DVD last night. It certainly was the Bruce Kimmel show! Very funny.
I had stopped watching THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY by the 4th season....and I was quite disturbed to see how rough Mr David Cassidy was looking....but pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Miss Susan Dey had become.
-
DR ELMORE I got GIUDITTA at DeepDiscount.com for less than $30, but they don't have Die Lustig Witwe.....
You can get an additional 25% off any order until August 2 by using the Promotion Code HOTSTUFF

I rarely have a day that would be tweetable.
-
DR Ginny, i hope you get better news about your BIL John today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
It is raining very hard right now. :(
We have been getting a lot of rain this summer. It seems like it rains every single day!
-
I am eating raspberries for breakfast, which are my favorite fruit.
I see that one of yahoo canada's lead stories is that a lot of fans hated Katie Holmes' dancing on last week's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.
I am somewhere in the middle. She was there to promote a foundation that gives scholarships to dancers. And some of the other heads of that are on the show. So in that way she was relevant.
However, SYTYCD is about excellence in dancing. And she was just mediocre. So in that respect i think she failed. But she is a big name. And she probably got some people to watch.
-
FROM YESTERDAY
DR JOSE
parents do not have DVR or TIVO
I would have survive 10 minutes of commercials but to put the show in a time slot of 80 minutes is nuts just to have 30 minutes of commercials is nuts.
Now I know my tv watching has gone down to almost nil.
If the show would have gone on for a fifth season there was talk of replacing David Cassidy or bring in another actor to help out.
Cassidy was at the height of his popularity. He was doing concerts and filming the show at the same time, so probably that was the reason for the rough look.
Pretty funny stuff. On friday night my niece (the 3 year old) made a card for her parents' anniversary. I hid it for her.
I used to do this and not tell her where it was because she would go to the place and give it to them early.
Anyhow i told her where it was yesterday (in the bottom of her sock drawer). I have to hide it where she can find it, yet where my sister won't accidently see it.
Well apparently this morning, without reminding her she told my sister she needed to be alone to get something. And she went into her sock drawer and found it herself.
She was very impressed with her card (my niece was impressed with her own card :) ).
She loves scrapbooking. So basically she just picks what she wants to put on the card. And then she glues it where she wants it. I spell out words for her and she sticks them on the card. Her cards actually look quite beautiful considering she is only 3.
BK, LOST season 5 comes out the first week of December.
Usually the new seasons only star mid to late january.
So you would have at least a month to watch season 5.
-
I rarely have a day that would be tweetable.
I think the copier machine alone could generate quite a few Tweets. ;)
-
Like DAW, I was up late and am now up early. Oy. Had a fitful night of sleep with various 2 bar phrases repeating themselves in my addled pate. I am now dealing with BDD (brain dead drummer), a gentleman (and I use the term loosely) who seems to think the conductor giving notes after each act constitutes a personal attack, this despite the fact that virtually everyone last night (including me, LOL) got notes. BDD has had two temper tantrums down in the pit now, and it must simply stop, especially since in one instance he's been given the same friggin' note about 10 times--RALL means slow down, not speed up. :)
-
Actually I think the ratings for SYTYCD were about the same with no spike for Holmes' appearance.
-
And now I am off to work.
-
I am eating raspberries for breakfast, which are my favorite fruit.
They are my favorite too
-
I was up late painting and the cleaning up. I have a rule to clean up the painting mess right away so I don't end up with little kitty prints all over the house.
Anyway, I didn't get to bed until after 2:00 and woke up a number of times. I'm surprised I woke up for the day before 8:00 AM. that's sleeping in for me, but I thought I'd sleep in more than that
-
DR Ginny, I bought the book of Julie and Julia based on your recommendation last night. I'll start it as soon as I finish The White Tiger
-
Now I'm going to make a big breakfast. I haven't had a "real" breakfast in a very long time. Eggs and bacon here I come
-
Now I'm going to make a big breakfast.
Many different herrings.
(Help me before I quote THE PRODUCERS again). ;D
-
Many different herrings.
Red ones.
-
Help me
It's much too late for that.
-
Did a quick grocery run and made pancakes at home this morning. Carbs be darned! And Renaissance choral music in the background. What could be better?
-
PAGE TWO FLAPJACK DANCE!!
-
Good morning!
Slept fitfully last night and so I've been up for quite a while. It's going to be hot again today, so once again, I'm glad I'll be inside doing my usual Sunday chores.
-
Since I was up so early this morning, I went ahead and watched WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK EVANS? I don't think Jane Marple fits as felicitiously into this non-Marple mystery as she did into the non-Marple MURDER IS EASY, and the denouement is awkward and kind of unconvincing. This was by far my least favorite of the four Marple films though the cast is filled with good actors. Natalie Dormer (who was Anne Bolyn in THE TUDORS) plays an unhappy wife and Sean Biggerstaff who was the captain of the Quidish team in the first two HARRY POTTER films is the playboy who works with Miss Marple in solving the crime. Samantha Bond (who played Miss Moneypenner in the Brosnan Bond films) is the troubled mother of two quirky kids who are having a hard time getting over the suspicious death of their father.
-
Having already seen THEY DO IT WITH MIRRORS on PBS, I went ahead and wrote up the remainder of the review on the set, though it can't be posted until I actually view the DVD of it to make sure the video and audio quality judgments are honest appraisals of what I've seen and heard on the disc.
-
On TV TOnight!™
NBC - MERLIN, THE STORM
CBS - 60 MINUTES, BIG BROTHER 11
PBS - MASTERPIECE MYSTERY: WHY DIDN"T THEY ASK EVANS?
BBCA - DOCTOR WHO
FOOD - FOOD NETWORK CHALLENGE, THE NEXT NETWORK STAR, EXTREME CUISINE
H&G - HOUSE HUNTERS, HDTV DESIGN STAR
HBO - TRUE BLOOD, HUNG, ENTOURAGE
USA - LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, IN PLAIN SIGHT
DR Jose:
Re your question last night, the remake was not called WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, so in answer to your question, I watched what I said I watched.
;)
-
I haven't slept (or very many hours) for the last few nights. I'm now at athat insomnia panic stage of being afraid I'll never sleep again!! ::) >:( :o :( ???
If you can have a fitful night, can you have a fitless night?
-
It is 8:00 a.m. and it is already hot in the
house apartment. This is going to be a miserable week - weatherwise.
-
NEWSFLASH!: It is supposed to cool down to 85 next Saturday.
POSSIBLE T.O.D.
It has been said that, “Everyone has at least one good book in them."
Have you ever thought about writing a book (fiction, non-fiction, autobiography), what kind of book would it be, and have you thought of a possible title?
-
TOD from yesterday-- Best Mexican food
Chicken in a hibiscus sauce at the Barrio Cafe
Chicken Enchilada Suiza at El Conquistador
The Papusas at the original Garcia's
Such is Life had great Cozumel influenced food
and there's a great family owned restaurant near the San Gabriel Civic Auditorium that always had wonderful specialties
the old Jordan's in downtown Phoenix (whih was also family owned) had good food too
-
Have you ever thought about writing a book
Yes. But I never got as far as answering the rest of your questions. :-\
Vibes to DR Ginny and family
-
Good morning, all! Sadly, it wasn't too good a night; I was up and down all night with leg pains and little sleep. At some time today, Marnie, who acting as librarian for the LOC Life Begins At 8:40 orchesdtra reading in August, will stop by and pick up some proofed scores, run down to the offfice and bring me back a new batch. Until then, I will work on Moross' Gentlemen Be Seated. I alerted the Loesser office about my health so there's no deadline on the last act of The Most Happy Fella but it would be nice this week to get some edits in on that as well this week.
I will spend part of today watching the second DVD of THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, and then I may drag out either the Erroll Flynn version or CROSSED SWORDS with Oliver Reed and Mark Lester.
I have no more news except that the Vicodin just kicked in and my leg doesn't hurt nearly so badly at the moment.
-
Dear Ginny, we are thinking of Richard, his brother and you and the entire family. Stay strong dear friends!
***SOUND SLEEP VIBES***
Dear Larry, you have as many vibes as we can give for your recovery. Virtual hugs to you dear friend.
After the pile of pancakes I ate this morning, I am seriously contemplating a return to bed!
-
We had a wonderful time in New Jersey yesterday. Anthony's aunt had a surprise 75th birthday party in Hamilton, NJ. We took NJ Transit (an hour and 15 minutes but the ride was very pleasant) and got there early so we helped Lisa (the celebrant's daughter) finish setting up the room. There were many people I didn't know so I stayed in the background and talked to the few people I did know. We had enough food for the Russian and Ukrainian armies. I had chicken parm and it came with spaghetti. The waiters began passing out the take out containers as soon as people were done because I don't think a single person finished their meal (the other choices were tilapia or steak). One of the grandchildren put together a DVD of the life of Nancy (the celebrant) which went over very well. The grandchild is now off to begin her freshman year at Boston University. She's a good kid and we wish her well.
We got home about 9:30 and went to bed soon after.
Today there is nothing on the schedule except a run to the store for milk, cheese and some fresh fruit.
-
I had written a few pages of a children's book (based on our stuffed animal collection) years ago but I loaned them to a friend (who I no longer see, I don't even know where she is) and I never got them back. I could probably reconstruct the pages but I don't know if that will ever happen.
-
Yes, years ago I was very interested in writing a book about the singers who dubbed many of the Hollywood greats in movies down through the years. Some, of course, were well known and even sometimes got screen billing while others were completely obscure. But I realized that
(a) the scope of the book was going to be far bigger than I had time to deal with it at that stage of my life,
(b) the saleability of such a book would be miniscule.
After I abandoned it, I noticed that it had partially been done by others (WHO SANG WHAT IN HOLLYWOOD) or was being currently worked on by folks who had been researching and interviewing for years. So, I'm hopeful of seeing such a book eventually. I have always found the whole subject fascinating.
FEEL BETTER VIBES LARRY AND HOPE YOU HAVE A PAIN-FREE WEEK AHEAD
-
I also wrote the beginning of a murder mystery years ago and outlined the rest of it, but I found I just wasn't clever enough to be able to disguise my killer and provide a baffling enough puzzle to make it viable.
-
I guess I need to head back down and get laundry ready for washing and then think about what I want to have for lunch. I'm really not very hungry today.
WBBL.
-
Health vibes to Larry
-
Feel better, DR Elmore!
-
And now I'm REALLY going!
;D
-
Bruce-- did you ever list the performers in the "What IF" videos? Good group of people. Who did the choreography for the revue?
PAGE THREE!
Thanks, DAW!
Pain free vibes to Larry!
Sounds like a lovely time, Ben.
Matt, there is not still not a really definitive (let alone accurate) book on the subject.
COMFORT VIBES TO DR ELMORE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Wow! Nobody posting.
-
Bruce-- did you ever list the performers in the "What IF" videos? Good group of people. Who did the choreography for the revue?
Yes, if you go back to youtube.com/haineshisway - all the info is there, including the choreographers.
-
Well, see what happens when there's no hammering and yammering - I sleep till nine-thirty.
-
Most excellent vibes and xylophones to Ginny and family, and elmore, and all who need them.
-
Good Morning! Good Afternoon!
I'm up, I'm up... And I only have three more items left for sale from my Craigslist posting yesterday! -I practically got into a bidding war for the food processor. Instead, it went to the first person to race up to my apartment this morning.
-
Oh...
And it's quite MUGLY here in NYC today. But, then again, it is late July, so...
Moving on.
-
I suppose if I'm going to jog I should jog before it gets to be 100 degrees.
-
And I have to say, that this batch of buyers - for the stuff I listed on Craigslist - have really been great. The young woman who came by this morning is starting a new diet, lifestyle routine, and she wanted to get things started off right by having the right tools for all the food prep she will have to do. She had never dealt with a food processor, nor with baking stones, so I was also able to give her a quick "basics" lesson. -The most important one being: when washing the blades for the food processor, WEAR GLOVES! Those blades are sharp!
It's just nice knowing that the people who bought my stuff will actually be using them. -Especially since I never used some of the items over the past three or four years.
-
Did a quick grocery run and made pancakes at home this morning. Carbs be darned! And Renaissance choral music in the background. What could be better?
Maybe if "this" was in your kitchen making the pancakes for you:
-
As for The Topic du Jour...
I still have a pending offer for a book about auditioning, auditions, and how I manage to keep my sanity(?) - and a straight face - while playing auditions.
I wrote a long essay during my senior year in high school, which, I think will eventually get expanded into a longer form.
Oh... And Monkey is also currently in negotiations... So... :)
-

Are you trying to kill, elmore?
-
I never wrote a book, but, I did write a couple of complete plays (in addition to several one-acts), one of which did get produced.
If I did write a book, I suppose it would be about the underground gay scene in Pittsburgh in the 1970s.
-
DR Jose:
Re your question last night, the remake was not called WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, so in answer to your question, I watched what I said I watched.

My very strong advice for anyone who's talked about or thought about writing a book or play is to sit down and DO it - it will be the most rewarding thing ever (as it's been for me) and even if it's not brilliant, that doesn't matter - it's the doing of it, the accomplishment of it, the YOU-ness of it.
-
Back from the two-mile jog, which, in this heat, was puhlenty.

I am eating raspberries for breakfast, which are my favorite fruit.
They are my favorite too
I never want to eat one again. ;D

Keith is about to show me how the bear opened the gate and got in the yard.
Laters.
-
Richard and I left Lima separately after church. He had to make a hospital call on a church member and then visit his brother. He gave me a reprieve from those visits, so I had lunch at Culver's and came on home. He will be exhausted, I'm sure, when he gets here.
-
Thank you to DRs ArnoldMBrockman, Jennifer, Kerry, and Ben for today's vibes for John.
-
There's an old WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK EVANS that has, IIRC, Tommy & Tuppence, or at least the actors who played them.
-
I’m glad Ginny’s DH Richard arrived safely last night & you were both able to get a bit of extra sleep.
-
Thanks, DR Jane. Something tells me we're going to keep a pretty low profile tomorrow.
-
Sigh. I wish there were more to do than send MEGA vibes of healing & comfort.
-
MEGA vibes are most appreciated.
-
I'm happy to report a bear did not get into our yard. In fact it wasn't a bear at all. Something knocked the gate ajar. The problem has been fixed and a heavy duty lock has been put on the gate.
-
I'm listening to Beverley on BBC Radio Wales right now.
We will have the rest of our dinner from yesterday (Chicken Parmesan) and then we will watch some extras from the Forsyte Saga. We just finished watching the entire 26 episodes this past week. What a treat!!! Now we will look at some documentaries and deleted scenes and other pieces.
Anthony will watch Miss Marple at 9pm and I'll be in bed soon after that for another full week of work.
We will be going up to Poughkeepsie on Saturday. That's the pick up point. We will be visiting friends who have a house up in that area. They are about 15 minutes from the Poughkeepsie train station (Metro North). We will spend a relaxing Saturday and part of Sunday. A nice way to bring in August.
-
DR Ginny I just pray this emotional roller coaster you have been on will have a happy ending.
-
And DR elmore, please get better soon.
-
Thanks, Jane.
-
From MBarnum:
Thanks DR Jane. I have already interviewed him and it will be out in Classic Images any month now. They are stopping in Beatty, Oregon and then driving to Portland, but wanted to stop and see me during their trip. Such nice people.
That is extra nice they want to spend time with you, not that I'm surprised.
-
DR Jennifer, cute card story. I like she was impressed with her own art work. :)
-

Matt, there is not still not a really definitive (let alone accurate) book on the subject.
You're completely right; there isn't, but there is a fellow at the site where I work who knows the identity of every dubber ever in American film, and he's assured me he's working on the definitive book on the subject.
-
Continued prayers for John and Ginny and Richard.
-
There's an old WHY DIDN'T THEY ASK EVANS that has, IIRC, Tommy & Tuppence, or at least the actors who played them.
Yes, the actors who played them but not portraying them in this movie. It was a much more faithful version of the story than this new incarnation which actually gets kind of muddled and forced (a person holding a deadly poison syringe standing there waiting for Miss Marple to prove the guilt of that person. Yeah, right!)
-
Nothing exciting happens; I just taped until my memory card filled up. Elmore and Cillaliz find a shoelace:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_z_ITqVlYM
-
I watched THEY DO IT WITH MIRRORS this afternoon, the last of the Marple films, and one I had already seen last weekend. Enjoyed seeing it again even if Joan Collins struggles in vain to hide her British accent.
The two legitimate Miss Marple mysteries turned into films in this set are clearly superior to the two where she was inserted into stories the character was never intended to be a part of.
-
Next I watched tomorrow night's episode of NURSE JACKIE by tuning it in from Showtime On Demand. Some funny stuff and some dramatic stuff, too. I've really been enjoying this series.
-
When that was over, I decided I wanted to continue watching more "Making of" documentaries of Hitchcock films, so I started with TOPAZ, probably my least favorite Hitchcock movie next to UNDER CAPRICORN. They didn't have a standard making-of featurette. Instead, the disc offered "An Appreciation" of the movie by Leonard Maltin. I don't think I had ever even bothered to watch this before, so I did today. I understand the points he makes in defense of the movie (and it was interesting reading comments from the film's disastrous first preview), but I'm not buying it. Yes, there are a couple of bravura sequences, but it's a long, slow crawl to get to them, and then you get to that very unsatisfying ending. Nope, not a favorite.
-
Sweet DR Laura. I like when I can see Cillaliz's pretty markings.
-
Her markings don't show up in face portraits.
-
Next I watched the making of LIFEBOAT. I guess I hadn't watch that either (or if I had, I didn't remember it) since I was continually surprised by information imparted in it. I had NO idea that Zanuck didn't get behind the movie and that it didn't do well at the box-office. I had NO idea it was attacked as being pro-Nazi! (I guess because Walter Slezak seems almost superhuman at times (but Hitchcock went to the trouble of showing us why he remained so fresh and strong).
-
Thank you, DR Laura.
-
One of the joys of the LIFEBOAT documentary was the participation of HHW mascot and all-around film buff extraordinaire Dr. Drew Casper. (He does the feature commentary on the movie, too, but I've never listened to it.)
-
I'm heading down to do some general cleaning up and then putting away the already folded laundry.
WBBL.
-
I was going to watch last sunday's TRUE BLOOD. Only my sis didn't record it properly. But she has it saved on her tv. So i guess i will watch it at her house at some point.
-
Her markings don't show up in face portraits.
I know. I like the body shots :)
-
I'm happy to report a bear did not get into our yard. In fact it wasn't a bear at all. Something knocked the gate ajar. The problem has been fixed and a heavy duty lock has been put on the gate.
Sounds like a great idea for a story-- The Bear Who Didn't Get In Our Yard!
-

I wrote a long essay during my senior year in high school, which, I think will eventually get expanded into a longer form.
I bet if you went back and pulled up all your enjoyable posts on the subject you might find enough for a book.
-

Funny that you should bring up TOPAZ, as I watched it (and the appreciation) for the first time last night!
I'm not as down on the film as you are, but not quite as glowing as Maltin is either.
There are several things I agree with Maltin on regarding TOPAZ, first and foremost being that it could have used "stars;" until last night I had only got as far as "the china shop" sequence, never even making it to the Copenhagen department store.
I thought that the characters were quite interesting (that Leon Uris created them probably helped) and that the premise was fascinating.
Yet, there is nothing truly Hitchcockian about TOPAZ, is there? Except for the two scenes given remembrance by Maltin, the film could have been the handiwork of any European director of that era.
I did not for one moment buy John Vernon as a Cuban - and those piercing eyes!
I did like Dany Robin, though her character was utterly predictable and made up to be a classic "Hitchcock Blonde."
Karin Dor was likeable and given the most Hitchcockian moment in the film - and that is an awesome moment!
The men, except for Michel Subor as the young husband were quite interchangeble; now, Michel was quite the piece of eye-candy!
I would have prefered that John Forsythe had switched roles with Frederick Stafford.
Still, I am happy that I finally made it through TOPAZ.
-

Then we are doomed.

DR Ginny, is DH Richard home yet?

Still logged in, DR Jane, just away from the computer for a while. Yes, Richard and Rob met at the hospital and came home in tandem. We've had pizza and the two of them are watching old episodes of JAG on DVD.

Then we are doomed.

Good Ginny. I was so concerned he was still out. I'm glad DS Rob is home with you.
-
Nope. It just arrived a short while ago as a Tweet. :)
Try it and let me know how it is ;)

Cute photos :)
-
I figured what the heck, why not resort to cute animal photos, since no one else is posting anything. :)
-
I spent a lot of time chatting with my sister on the phone this afternoon. That's why I haven't posted. :)
-
And she sounds really good.
-
That's great Laura.
Yesterday I purged, today I'm cleaning.
-
DR Laura - I'm so glad to hear that your sister sounds good!
-
Indeed, great news, Laura DR!
-
Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.
-
Rob has now gone back to Cincinnati, so that he'll be 5 minutes from his workplace for his 7am shift in the morning. If he'd stayed here much longer, he'd have to get up before dawn in order to be there on time.
-
Better he go home tonight.
-
Ginny, any change in John's condition?
-
Nope, DR TCB. Thanks for asking.
-
Nope, DR TCB. Thanks for asking.
Well, you are all in my prayers again this evening.
-
G'night! Although, I have no idea how I am going to sleep in this weather.
-
It is still 87 degrees!
-
Not even a fan DR TCB?
-
IT'S TOO DARN HOT
-
Notes and posts are read.
-
I think everyone has really wonderful interesting lives.
-
And everyone seems pretty happy too.
-
GOOD VIBES TO EVERYONE (for all the things I read about, and don't respond too).
Mostly because I don't take notes, and then have a senior moment.
-
I'm coming on a bit earlier tonight than usual. I'm hoping to catch back up on some of the sleep I didn't get last night.
-
Until we rant about something we aren't pleased about ;)
DR Sam, sorry I once again must leave just as you arrived/
'night
-
DR Sam, notes must be taken to avoid senior moments. I would be lost without them ;D
-
Hi Jane
-
I began tonight watching the final edition of THE FASHION SHOW (can't believe I had stumbled across the winner's name somewhere, but I hadn't). Well My pick came in third place, but if that person couldn't win, I was happy for the one who did win, anyone but the one who finished second. Although I found this person a talented designer and liked quite a few creations during the season, I did not like the collection for the final judging much at all.
So, I was OK with who won.
-
I think I better go eat my watermellon. And finish the last few chores for today.
-
Next I watched the last chapter of TORCHWOOD: CHILDREN OF EARTH. What a tragic end! I have read many negative things about the last episode, but I had no problem with the ending with the danger or with the final scene. Seemed like the only recourse in both instances to me.
-
Then I watched the final behind-the-scenes coda to TORCHWOOD. I hope they will do another series. I'd love to see them rebuild their organization from the ground up.
-
I still don't have a TV since the signal changed.
If I stumble across a small kitchen TV with space age rabbit ears, I'll buy it.
-
Next I opened up the MURDER SHE WROTE Season 10 box set. No, I'm not reviewing it. It wasn't offered at our site (or if it was sent to someone, the review has yet to appear; I did get to do Season 9). I got two episodes watched tonight.
The first found Jessica in Hong Kong. I had not seen this episode before but had no trouble identifying the killer's identity.
-
If I missed anyone. Hi.
Goodnight till later.
-
The second episode found Jessica back in NYC and battling with a group of others to save some historic brownstones from demolition. I did have a vague memory of this one and did get the murderer's identity correct.
By season 10, I'm thinking the writing wasn't as tight as in the early seasons. Of course, when you've done over two hundred episodes of a series, it's hard to keep the plots fresh.
-
France Nuyen was the most recognizable person in the first one I watched. In the second, Barbara Babcock, Herb Edelman, and Jeff Conaway were just a few of the familiar faces.
-
And I finished my evening watching tonight's TRUE BLOOD.
The Tara story finally got down to business. Sam seems in real danger. Couldn't believe Sookie let herself get into the fix she did when she HEARD what he was thinking and didn't simply insist on leaving or simply run away. And Jason's story has been a long time coming, but hopefully it'll take some interesting twists now that the adultery is out of the way.
-
I don't lead an interesting life. My life is quite boring. I like it that way.
However, I did take a huge jump backward when I saw this in the backyard:
-
YIKES!
-
I think all Doctor Drew Casper commentaries should be unheard.
-
Good Evening!
Well... Since I have to be down at Penn Station by 7:00am tomorrow morning... -I'll be working in Lancaster all day tomorrow, and then I think I'll be stopping off in Philly on the way back and spend the night catching up with some friends. We shall see. In the meantime...
-
I was going to post earlier, but I found a shoelace and have been very busy for several hours.
-
DOUBLE YIKES!!
-
I was going to post earlier, but I found a shoelace and have been very busy for several hours.
(à la "The Nurse" in Sunday In the Park with George)
Nobody can even see my shoelace.
;)
-
I could give you a ping-pong ball and amuse you for another few hours, JRand.
-
I think all Doctor Drew Casper commentaries should be unheard.
His conversational style is very off-putting.
-
Here it is near a spoon, which is the closest I could get to it.
-
My evening internet surf is completed, so I'm heading downstairs and going to bed.
Good night!
-
I have been looking at the forthcoming Beatles remastered box sets, but they are so horribly expensive...
Anytime I find myself tempted by some of those "newly remastered" or "audiophile" reissues, I just remind myself that I don't have audiophile-quality playback equipment. If I'm not able to get everything out of those reissues, well... I'm very happy with the "regular" product.
-
Here it is near a spoon, which is the closest I could get to it.
Were you planning on eating it?
-
I wanted to show its size.
-
I'm happy to report a bear did not get into our yard. In fact it wasn't a bear at all. Something knocked the gate ajar. The problem has been fixed and a heavy duty lock has been put on the gate.
What if a bear has the key?
I'm sure there are some DRs who wouldn't mind if a bear had a key from time to time.
-
Well, I have three loads of laundry to fold, and an overnight bag to pack before I head to bed for a few hours.
I hope everyone's tomorrow is better than today. (Even if you had a good day today.) :)
Goodnight.
-

Are these evil or poisonous or just unpleasant?

Goodnight.
Goodnight, Jose!
-
I don't know. It is a "fishing spider," which may or may not cause problems. I will ask a professional tomorrow.

I'll be anxious to hear.
-
Back from a long day. I finished proofing the book, then went to see the Harry Potter movie at the Grauman's Chinese, then grabbed a bite to eat.
-
I'm caught up, but now must say goodnight.
-
Nothing exciting happens; I just taped until my memory card filled up. Elmore and Cillaliz find a shoelace:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_z_ITqVlYM
Laura, I love watching those little guys!
-
The spiders, however, gave me the creeps.
-
DR TCB, I feel you pain. Tomorrow is supposed to be 99 degrees and 102 on Tuesday. My pampered pooch and petulant pussy-cat won't like that much, and neither will I.
-
Yikes is right.
I could have used a shoelace today.
I could have used a cup holder yesterday. Did you know that in 1985, cars did not have cup holders. What am I supposed to do with a car without cup holders.
-
Creepy thing happened today. I went to see my friends new apartment and when I walked into the hallway I had this sensation of wanting to fall over. Scared the heck out of me. Seems the hallway's ceiling is a foot lower than the rest of the apartment, the walls are not straight for some reason, and Tom decided to fill it with low tables. The sensation was the same everytime I had to walk through to go to another room.
Like being in a fun house at the park carnival. Very creepy feeling.
-
Well goodnight everyone.
Goodmorning to the night owls.
Great things for us for Monday.
Night.
-
I'm done viewing and am now listening to music and relaxing.
-
It is 8:00 a.m. and it is already hot in the house apartment. This is going to be a miserable week - weatherwise.
It's 11:00 at night and it's 94° up in my bedroom! :P
-
~~~VIBES TO EVERYONE WHO NEEDS THEM!!~~~
-
Reading about what books everyone would write makes me really want to read them! So...start writing, people! ;D
-
My very strong advice for anyone who's talked about or thought about writing a book or play is to sit down and DO it - it will be the most rewarding thing ever (as it's been for me) and even if it's not brilliant, that doesn't matter - it's the doing of it, the accomplishment of it, the YOU-ness of it.
Yeah! What BK said! :D
-
I am eating raspberries for breakfast, which are my favorite fruit.
They are my favorite too
I never want to eat one again. ;D
The one time I got drunk (and it was on purpose) was on vodka and raspberry juice.
:P
-
I thought that it was done well, but I'm just sad that it's all ending. :'(
-
That was the end of the whole show, wasn't it??
-
Then I watched the final behind-the-scenes coda to TORCHWOOD. I hope they will do another series. I'd love to see them rebuild their organization from the ground up.
I'd LOVE to see another season (series), but with that ending...how could they do it??
-
What if a bear has the key?
I'm sure there are some DRs who wouldn't mind if a bear had a key from time to time.
You got that right, honey. ;)
Get it...bear...honey! ;D
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE EIGHT "NO GROANING ALLOWED" DANCE!!
-
I'll groan if I want to.
