Well, you've read the notes, the notes were agitated and assimilated, and now it is time for you to post until the agitated cows come home.

And the word of the day is: CARAPACE!

In my DVD player right now: "I Love You, Man," and I'm watching the bonus material. I got it from Netflix two, count 'em TWO months ago, and I just watched it last night. ::) Now that I'm watching the bonus material, I can return it tomorrow and the next movie in my queue (I have the unlimited, one-at-a-time plan), "Catch Me If You Can."

I had a long and very detailed and involved dream about auditioning for and being cast in a new edition of THE AMAZING RACE. Which is weird, because I've never seen an episode of THE AMAZING RACE. And Bea Arthur was one of my coaches. As DR JMK is wont to say, "I kid you not." :)

A VERY HAPPY HHW BIRTHDAY WISH
FOR DR GINNY'S DH RICHARD!!!!!!!!
-
I'll second the birthday wish for DH Richard. Could I have a piece of that cake please? I ate my oatmeal for breakfast and that would go very well as a mid-morning snack with a cup of good coffee (not the nuclear waste they serve here at the office).
-
Happy Birthday to our very own resident vicar!
-
Friday morning greetings! It is, indeed, my DH Richard's birthday - he's now the same age as DR Elmore. Thank you to DRs DAW and Ben for the wishes. I wish I could take credit for baking him a cake like the one in the picture, but for his birthday dessert this year, Richard requested Dove Bars. I bought them yesterday, along with filet mignons (filets mignon?) to wrap in bacon and potatoes to bake. We're going shopping for new lamps for our family room and for tickets to White Christmas at the Aronoff Center (early birthday present for my Mom) before attending the opening reception for our friend's art exhibit.

Thank you, DR Laura!

Yesterday I mentioned the placement of Cheyenne Jackson's mic on his appearance on The View this week, but I didn't say where. Here is a visual:
I don't believe I've ever seen anyone with a mic on the top of their forehead before. Is this normally done?
-
And here's a shot of the back.
-
And here's a link to the actual THE VIEW episode (http://abc.go.com/watch/the-view/167365/240967/the-view-1111) with Cheyenne and Kate Baldwin (move the little progress bar thing at the bottom to about 32:00 to get to the song--you'll have to endure a Chlorox commercial or two along the way.)
And I have to say that Kate Baldwin is an incredibly beautiful and beguiling woman. Together, she and Cheyenne make a very lovely couple.
-
Oh! I've seen that done a few times.
Mr Jackson was funny on 30 ROCK last night. I don't usually watch that show, and didn't much like it last night - except for CJ.

Good morning!
At least the rain has stopped. It's still gray outside and cool, too, but as long as we're finished with rain for a while, I'll be happy. Due to the onslaught we've had over the last three days, we are now running two inches above normal for the year! (We've had four inches of rain already this month!)
-
My work project today may be the Blu-ray of FIGHT CLUB, but I'm guessing it's going to be the first of three successive Kevin Smith films in a new Blu-ray box set coming out Tuesday: THE KEVIN SMITH COLLECTION.
I'll start with his first film - CLERKS which I haven't seen in a long time and have only vague memories of. Seeing this 16mm film on high def Blu-ray should be quite an experience.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICHARD

Friday Media Check:
CD - GLEE soundtrack, volume 1
DVD - CLERKS (Blu-ray)

The Blu-ray set of SUPERNATURAL - Season 4 mentioned above is for pleasure only. I wasn't offered the set to review this year (I did get to review the season 3 set on Blu-ray), but since Season 4 was such a good season, I waited until I could find a very good on-line price for Season 4 on Blu-ray (the ONLY way to see the show). Can't wait to get some free time and start rewatching some of the episodes.

Good morning, all! Because of the wait for yesterday's shipment, I moved my physical therapy to this morning. I will shortly head to 100th Street. After that, I will make a bank and a market stop. When I get back, I have more work on scores by Jerome Kern and Jerome Moross. Beyond seeing DR Ben and Anthony on sunday, I have few plans for the remainder of the weekend.
DR JRand59, enjoy your day off. I'm still shopping for a new quilt/comforter, but I'm taking my time about it.
DR singdaw, I received a flyer about signing up for Costco, and I may do it. My therapist Gurjeet really likes it.

You have to be a member to go into Costco. A friend on Long Island is a member and you don't get past the people at the front unless you show your membership card (unless you want to join, then they welcome you). At BJ's you can at least go in and look around.
As DR Julie said, it's hard to shop at a store like Costco without a car.
Also, it's way the hell over on the east side (116th Street and Riverside Drive) so it's out of the way for these Chelsea boys.
I have heard rumor that a Target will be part of the complex as well as Costco so it might be worth a bus ride up First Avenue to see if my beloved Target will actually be in Manhattan.

Recovery vibes to Michael Shayne

re: COSTCO
You definitely cannot buy anything without a membership card. But here at least it is pretty easy to get in without a card.
Here there is an entrance for the store. And then where you come out there is also an entrance for the bathrooms, returns and restaurant.
If you go in the exit entrance you can then just walk through a cash to the store. My mom and sister are members. So i can go with them. But if i get there early and want to go in i've done what i mentioned above.
-
I would love to walk through cash! :D

I'm still not feeling well. I thought my immune system was improving ( i used to catch everything). but i guess being around my niece and brother-in-law who were sick made me sick.
I've had this drip in my throat for 3 days. Now it's moving up into my head (does that mean it's over).i've been taking advil cold and sinus even though my sinuses weren't hurting (although they are a bit now). And surprisingly it got rid of the drip (although it took like 1 1/2 hours to work).
I am trying not to take anything this morning. Because i've been taking 3 doses a day. But i will have to take something soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DR GiNNY'S DH RICHARD!!!!
-
I have heard rumor that a Target will be part of the complex
Yes. Not open yet, but reportedly within the next few months.
Some other "Big Box" stores are planned for the complex, as well as some smaller retailers. Luckily(?) for me, I basically live right across the river from the new Target in the Bronx. It's just two subway stops or a 10-minute bus ride from my apartment.
As for CostCo, well... If I was shopping for more than myself, I would probably get a membership. However, some of the deal on electronics and other non-food items are quite tempting at times.
-
Happiest of Birthdays, Richard. You are allowed to sin with impunity today. :)

Well MSN is all wonky this morning. The MSN mail interface won't work, and neither will Hotmail from within MSN. However if I go to Hotmail via IE, it's fine.

I am enjoying it DR JRand. Last night I watched MAD DOCTOR OF MARKET STREET and THE STRANGE CASE OF DR RX. Neither movie was great, but they were both fun.
I really hope this means that Universal will begin to release more of their catalog titles from the 30s, 40s, and especially the 50s. There are some John Saxon movies needing official releases and I do hope to someday see a decent copy of MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM!

Today my copy of DR elmore3003's vocal score for The Golden Apple arrived. The B&N online deal that DR elmore3003 pointed us to was such a steal!

I have returned from the manse. Of course as soon as we got there this white trash couple (technical term) in a huge pickup drove up and said they had seen it on the internet and just wanted to walk around the outside. Need I tell you within moments they were inside attempting to do a walkthrough with me and my realtor? We said we had to leave and locked up and waited for them to depart. Here are some pics. This is the back of the house which shows at least some of its width (the two story pool area is off to the right where you can't see it):

Here is the inside of the pool house looking out toward the south:

Here's the beautiful river rock fireplace in the great room:

I finished NORTH BY NORTHWEST when I went back down. I love that the Blu-ray was not a BD-Java disc and the movie picked right up where I stopped it last night without my having to search for chapter 38. Very convenient.
Convenient for him, perhaps, but not for us - the disk will not load at all!
I thought about a firware update, but the Manufactuer (Memorex) has removed our model (MVBD2511) from their website - they've even pulled the link to the last firmware update I downloaded in April.

I'm also glad to have a Target coming into Manhattan.
I didn't know you needed a membership card to get into Costco.
I have a Costco membership with my mom. Actually, my parents have the membership. When my mom first got the membership low these many years ago, she went in and got her card and had her picture taken and put on her card. They gave her my dad's card and said that he could come in anytime and they'd put his picture on then. But since my dad won't go without my mom (and we have the same first name), I actually have his card...with my picture. :)

Re Doctor Zhivago PG rating.
I have seen the film MANY years ago so ... but I do remember a rape scene that could justify the rating!
I know it's quite lame for today's society but still ...
And it is a rape, not an abduction like in The Fantasticks!
I have the same feeling with Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Because it has famous cartoon characters, most think it's a film for children.
I just don't think it is.
I once complained -AND I was a Disney cast member then!!) that this film played continuously, on a somewhat large screen in the Character Shop down at the (then) Disney Village in Florida!
They were promoting the video then, just like they do in stores today.
In that regard, what is the legislation for showing films in stores when some of those films are PG rated because of sex and/or violence?
Nowadays, here, it seems that anything goes! It's just a product I guess! "sell, sell!"
One has to love this consumer's society! :P
-
DR Dan (The Man) - RE: Mic placement - That's quite common. It usually ends up there - instead of on the side of the face - if the actor doesn't have to wear a hat during the show. At least Cheyenne's mic more or less matches his hair color, and it looks like they're trying to hide it. I remember during previews for The Color Purple a good number of the mics were "flesh-colored"... Sadly, they were more suited for Sutton's Foster's "flesh" rather than that of La Chanze. They looked more like pimples rather than widow's-peaks.

If the Blu-ray doesn't load, you can be sure you'll be able to play the DVD at least. I had toyed with buying that Memorex player when I was looking for a second player, but I went with a Samsung instead.
-
I hope your malady passes by quickly, DR Jennifer.
-
I got a long phone call before I headed out on my errands, so I didn't have a chance to watch anything before I left. It was good to catch up with news from my friend, but I did have some TV to watch!
-
I watched THE MENTALIST while I ate lunch.
This was one of the easiest mysteries to solve in the show's history. The minute the baby wandered into the room unsupervised and was smelling of a dirty diaper, I knew the nanny was the #1 suspect.
But I did love that Jane made some inroads with the Terry Kinney-character.
-
I also had time to squeeze in last night's 30 ROCK. Yep, another subpar outing for the show, but Cheyenne was a good sport and fit nicely as one of the saner members of the cast with so much absurdity all around him.
-
Then I watched CLERKS on Blu-ray. Looked the best the film can ever hope to look being in gritty 16mm. It's a very clean image, and all the tons of dialog comes through loud and clear with the DTS-HD MA sound. Such a low budget film hardly needs such an advanced 5.1 lossless soundtrack encode, but it certainly sounded clear, clean, and impressive for its age and budget.
-
The one new bonus that's been added to this disc was a 90-minute documentary on the making of JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK (which is also in this box set). So, I watched that, too, this afternoon. Lots of big names talking to the camera about their experiences with Kevin Smith, and lots of mugging and cursing in the camera by the actor who plays Jay.
-
Also had time to watch the 8-minute funeral scene which they had animated rather than shot in real life. (This was included in previous DVD releases, though it's in 1080p on this disc.) Very funny.
-
I may watch THE FOUNTAINHEAD later this afternoon.
-
I can't decide which to drool over more...
Cheyenne Jackson, or DR JMK's potential new abode! :D
Just imagine Cheyenne Jackson in DR JMK's potential new abode!!
;D
AND in the pool!
-
Just like you, DR François!!!! :D
I am blushing!
A golden blush! ;)

In the "here's what's wrong with the Internet department":
There's this guy, pgenre is his moniker, and he is completely obsessed with the movie Nine. Mind you, he hasn't seen the movie Nine, but nevertheless he is completely obsessed. Whether it's All That Chat or Broadwayworld, if a new photo shows up, or a clip, or a mention, he's there drooling about how great the film looks, etc. Yesterday on B'wayworld some teen saw the film and posted thoughts (I LOVED it) - the typical thing. This guy was all over her, drooling, fawning - it was really amusing. So, I went in and made what I thought was a funny little post that he didn't actually have to see the film since he already LOVED it and thought it was the best. I even put a smiley face. I also said that the clip that had been posted looked cutty to me and I hoped that wasn't going to be the case (although I think we all know that's exactly what it will be). Well, this dork came back and posted what he thought was a really scathing response - what it was, in fact, was a post filled with ageist bile about me, about old queens, about All That Chat (and for someone who's denigrating that board it's funny that he's been posting there for at least ten years - perhaps he was twelve when he began posting there). He then did the typical Internet thing (the thing you do when you're making stuff up that has no relation to what's actually been posted - you know, putting words in people's mouths that were never spoken, the usual crap) and he went off on Nudie Musical, just because that seems to be an easy target. He posted a link to the amazon page where, amusingly, the majority of the comments (and certainly those on the first page) are all positive. Oops. Anyway, here's the link - feel free to read his post (the middle of page two - my original post is at the top of page two and my response to his offensive post is at the bottom) and join in the fun. These people really need to be called out on their tactics. Here's the direct link to page two:

Did a three-mile jog and will now go pick up some packages and mail.
-
I've got to write for a little bit and then will head back down to continue watching bonus features on CLERKS and then tune into tonight's GHOST WHISPERER and MEDIUM around 8:30 or so.
WBBL.

Thanks for the vibes. I took the advil cold and sinus and feel much better.
Good, hope you stay that way.
I just hope that i don't give anything to the baby. Although i got sick from my other niece and the baby's father.
I feel bad for my sister's best friend (the one whose niece was very sick after halloween). My sis's friend is feeling really sick. And her 1 1/2 year old is starting to have a fever (she has a cough). She has asthma, so any little thing can send her to the hospital.
Apparently some parents at the daycare brought their kids in sick (they had fevers and coughs). I hope they are both okay!

I forgot about the rape scene in Zhivago. If I remember it was very subtle. I can understand your complaining about Roger Rabbit. Did parents also complain?

Before I left at noon today I stood on the deck with Sherlock. The sun was shining & it was beautiful out. By the time I drove into town & parked it began to rain, fortunately just before I got out of the car so I knew to grab an umbrella.
Now it is snowing! :o

Interesting...all I've ever seen are mics on the side of the face.
I guess it helps if one has a nice head of thick hair.
-
I hope DR Michael S is doing well.
-
Well, as I was driving home from Target tonight (where I picked up UP), I spotted a house with Christmas lights on. And just around the corner from the same house, another home had its Halloween lights on. Tis the season...
-
And the view from the backyard--and all of that space IS the backyard :) :
I can see why you are attracted to this house. I just gotta say it though, 8000 sf may be way too much house.
-
We have returned from 2 Target stores with 2 matching swing-arm floor lamps for our family room. We also went to the Aronoff Center box office and got good seats for Wednesday's performance of White Christmas and to our friend's art exhibit opening. Now we're about to celebrate Richard's birthday with his requested dinner - steak, baked potatoes, green beans, Dove Bars.
Thanks, DR George, for the birthday wish for him!

Oh, I believe I must have been the only one complaining; I can't tell. They did not give details ...
But ... I thought I might get a "verbal" for doing that, honestly!
They (The Walt Disney World people) might have thought; who's that French guy anyway?! ;)
I like "Roger Rabbit"; the film. I can't stand the character and the voice!
I always thought that the mean character is really evil in that story, and the violence, underlined heavily by the music, really is there!
It sure is not a fairy tale!
And ... there are rumors about a RR prequel, if Spielberg agrees to work with Disney again!

Was there a new episode of Modern Family this past Wednesday night that my DVR peversely didn't record? ???

I would say a good 3000-3500 of that is the pool house. The rest of the house is, yes, large, but it's not "excessive" feeling.
-
I never felt that having 300 of my closest friends over for a little sit-down in the living room was excessive, either.

Now that I think about it, my DVR didn't record it either...maybe something else was on. :-\
-
According to IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1442437/episodes#season-1), episode 7 of "Modern Family" was on November 4 and episode 8 will be on November 18. It should all be okay. :)

Well I have finagled a pre-approval letter from our CU. It also turns out this is a designated rural property which means it's eligible for 100% financing through the USDA. Unfortunately, Betsy and I make too much money together to qualify but our realtor had the brilliant idea of having only one of us apply, which would probably do it. Our *other* realtor (long story)--the one who will hopefully sell our current house--walked through today and we agreed more or less on a price he thinks will make this very marketable, even in this depressing economic climate.
-
Can Ms Cruz match that?

If this comes to pass (and it may not--we are not going to be heartbroken or even that disappointed if this house doesn't sell, it just would be "nicer")--we will have to have the biggest HHW Pool Party EVAH!

DR JMK, VIBES YOUR HOME SELLS IN A REASONABLE PERIOD OF TIME!!!

We can do it either way, but it would be less stressful to sell this one first. We owe virtually nothing on this one, but Betsy is less comfy carrying debt than I am.
-
House vibes. So why is it so cheap? What did you find?
-
Ah - thank you, DR George! :)
-
I liked the half dozen ADAM-12 episodes that I watched. Milner and McCord have a nice partnership going. The stories are typical and the acting and writing are very Webb-like - but it's fun.
The boys were investigating a Mulholland lover's lane series of rapes and murders. They came upon a couple of teenagers making out.....the boy said: "Gee officer, nothing was going on."
Malloy: If we had come thirty minutes later, could you have said the same thing.
Reed: Right. Cars have brakes, sometimes they fail. People are the same way.
The teens were properly chastised by this analogy and drove away.

Apparently I do not have an account at BroadwayWorld. I thought I did, but I don't. And reading some of the posts there, I think I remember why I didn't sign up. :P

I responded on the BWW message board, but it will probably cause nothing like the excitement that MR BK caused. Time will tell.

Why am I suddenly hearing the music to VERTIGO?
-
JR, I'm not sure if your "cheap" question was directed to me or what exactly you're referring to. The "new" house isn't cheap exactly, but it's been repossessed by the bank and they're wanting to unload it, obviously. I did a Google of the address earlier and found listings with various brokers going back well over a year with the price being successively dropped by hundreds of thousands of dollars.
-
DR JMK your DW Betsy is very wise ;D
How big is your current house?
-
I meant "bargain priced" DR JMK.....I thought you wrote that you might find a reason why it was priced lower than it needed to be.....but from the pictures, it must just be looking for a new owner.....with kids.

About 3000 SF. My estimate is the new house, minus the pool area, is around 3500 to 4000, not a huge jump up.
-

The "bargain" (such as it is) is all about it having been repossessed. Banks don't like "owning" homes, LOL. Just lending for them. :)

Is there someway to report inappropriate postings on Facebook? I'm just curious. I know the postings can be deleted, as can the "friend". I also thought there was a way to report the person & can't find it now. BTW, I am not the one having a problem.
-
Thank you, DR Kerry!
-
DR Jane - thank you for the update on DR Danise. To be honest, the house looks better than I thought it would, but plumbing is pretty much a necessity. Is she still receiving mail at that address?
-
I would think so DR Ginny, or at least there is a forward. I haven't talked to her in a long time. I just googled her name again today to see what is happening. That is a good thought, maybe I will send her a card.
-
DR JANE - Facebook as far as I know is useless as to reporting people.....they tell you the same thing....just delete.

Now we're watching the Cincinnati Bearcats try to maintain their undefeated season - join us on ESPN2. Between plays Richard and Rob are assembling our new lamps.

Happy Birthday to DH Richard!!!

Thanks DR JRand. I left a message for my friend today informing her of a couple of obscene posts today. So far they are still there so she must be out. I'm sure she will be deleting this person once she sees the posts. I just hope that will be the end of it. Fortunately people are posting & wisely ignoring the bothersome person.

I take it back, someone has commented on the obscene post:
Wow, (name of friend inserted) has met some awesome new friends on facebook.....I like the hugs and kisses sign off!!!

For DR DAW from my friend Jaime:
Sour Cream Pound Cake with Citrus Topping
• One orange
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 ¾ cups sugar
• 1 tbsp vanilla
• 6 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• ½ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp baking soda
• 1 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease 10 in. tube pan. Finely grate orange peel; measure 2 tsp and set aside. Beat butter at medium speed until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating till light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and orange peel. Add eggs one at a time, beating 1 minute after each. Combine dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour. Beat well after each addition. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 (my oven-1 hour 5 minutes) minutes before inverting.
Citrus Topping: (less lemon, more orange-maybe a little more sugar-Be sure to boil it long enough)
• 2 oranges
• 2 tsp salt
• water
• ½ cup sugar, divided
• 1/3 cup lemon juice
• 1 tsp vanilla
Finely grate orange peel, measure out 1/3 cup. Squeeze juice from oranges. Measure 1/3 cup. Combine peel and salt in medium saucepan. Add enough water to cover. Boil 2 minutes. Drain. Return to saucepan; add juice and ¼ cup sugar. Bring to boil; simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add remaining sugar, lemon juice and vanilla. Stir till smooth. Can be poured on top of the cake, or onto individual slices. (Jane suggests serving it on the side)
-
He sure is DR George!
-
Jane, that Sour Cream Pound Cake with Citrus Topping sounds DEE-licious!
-
I wonder if Danise has internet access at the motel where she and Sheena are staying. I was so glad to hear the reporter say she's with her dog.

It IS such a sh*tty shame that such evil people do exist!
That man will never know what mental pain he has given Danise!
No money will "pay" that back!
Is there justice somewhere?
This is so disgusting!
"The more I know people, the more I like my dog!"
Humans can be so deceiving!

It freezes nicely too. For me the sauce could use a bit of tweaking. Keith agreed. Most folks at my book discussion liked it the way it was.

Vibes Danise can get financial relief from the State's Construction Recovery Fund!!! I didn't know there was such a thing. I'm glad the paper did a follow up report on her situation.

Now that the contractor's license has been pulled it seems he can't work on her house anymore, absolutely leaving her in a bind.

Obviously, the little TV tidbit notes I post go completely unread. I mentioned on WEdnesday that ABC's primetime line-up was going to be preempted by the CMA Awards.

It took a good 2 1/2 hours to go through the CLERKS bonus features, and I'm still not done. I'll have to investigate the audio commentaries tomorrow morning.
Amazing how much bonus material could be dredged up for a film that cost $27,000.
-
The 40 minutes of Q&A were a complete waste of time, but there was a 90 minute documentary called "The Snowball Effect" that covers the film's entire story from beginning to end and that was very interesting.
-
GHOST WHISPERER had a pretty good episode tonight, better, at least, than the last couple of weeks though the ghost(s) were not very likeable or admirable people. There were definitely some creepy things going on, however.
-
MEDIUM had a very good episode tonight with some hilarious videos posted on the net by Bridgette and an interesting and complicated love story for Ariel. The final scene in the show was quite moving.
-
Even though CHASING AMY is the next movie in the KEVIN SMITH COLLETION box set, I think tomorrow I'll do JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. I've never seen it, and there are fewer bonus features with it than with CHASING AMY. I'll do it on Sunday.
-
I didn't get any Fox discs today (I was in touch with the Fox rep who assures me the delivery of Blu-rays has been worked out) and a copy of FIGHT CLUB was put in the mail. If I get it Monday, I will do it before starting on that big box of Criterion GOLDEN AGE OF TELEVISION kinescope transfers of some of the great Playhouse 90 dramas.
-
Time to head home for "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium." After that will be last night's ABC line-up, saved on the DVR.
Until later. :)
-
I want to write up the bonus features I watched tonight, and then I'll head downstairs to bed.
Good night!
-
DR Jane, it was great to read about our DR Danise. I hope that bastard dies a horrible death for what he's done to her and others.
I watched MEDIUM and WHITE COLLAR, which appears back in form to me. I wish that his wealthy landlady would put in more appearances. There's a nice blurb in this week's ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY about the USA formula for its series, and a wonderful article on tv's funniest and rudest comedy, IT'S ALWAYS RAINING IN PHILADELPHIA.
-
I am wearing part of a Darth Vader costume for pajamas.
That is all.
-
DR Ginny, I just saw the Cincinnati WHITE CHRISTMAS review; I've worked with three of the cast members - David Elder, Stephen Bogardus, and Lorna Luft - and I know the conductor. The show is a lot of fun.
I've become addicted to ONE LIFE TO LIVE; it is so much better plotted and acted than AS THE WORLD TURNS, and I've been catching up on all the storylines - the drug dealing mayor, the slutty Stacy and her bimbo exotic dancer friend, this screwed up cult leader and, I'm suspecting, the death of a major character today, and of course, Kyle and Fish, the Big Gay Romance - on youtube. I spent several hours yesterday watching the whole corrupt mayor and drug bust plot and today I've been laughing over slutty Stacy's attempts to find a man to impregnate her so she could blame the pregnancy on the man she's lusting after, and two of her targets were the gay men. It was very funny.
God, I need a life.
-
Boy, DR JRand59, who's the lurking troll calling itself "Amicus Curiae"who dissed you on Broadwayworld.com? I don not believe it's an HHW poster because his clear dislike of HHW comes through loud and clear. On a happier note on Broadwayworld, Ron Raines and company got a nice review for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC in Detroit.
-
Today I received my copy of THE COMPLETE LYRICS OF JOHNNY MERCER, edited by my friends Robert Kimball, Eric Davis, and Miles Kreuger. The fourth editor is no friend of mine. I had a great time skimming through it. BK, there are many cut song lyrics from LI'L ABNER and ST LOUIS WOMAN.
-
There is evidently an offer on the table for the house, but it hasn't been accepted yet, so Betsy, the boys and I are trekking out there tomorrow to let them take a look around. We ran numbers tonight and can swing this financially, but of course it will be much less stressful if this house sells quickly.
In other news, Betsy did her stand up tonight and slayed the audience. She is a really funny performer and did a great routine on what it means to be Jewish in Wisconsin and also around the holidays.
-

I can tell you who it is - it's Francois. He basically wrote me the same thing in an e-mail, although leaving out the stuff about HHW. So, he lied about not posting here, but I'm afraid he's not fooling me - if he'd wanted to do that he should have not sent the e-mail with very similar wording to Amicus. Shame on him. I e-mailed him back and told him if he has such dislike for me that I would prefer not to have his negative energy around here anymore.
-
Back from the show, about which more in the notes, which I must write this very minute.
-
DR Jane - thank you, both for the recipe and for the update on DR Danise.
-
DR Matt H. - I read and appreciate your daily TV notes. I just have a lousy memory. :)
