Well, you've read the notes, the notes were belated, and now it is time for you to post until the belated cows come home.

And the word of the day is: PALLIATE!
-
Okay, if this doesn't make you smile and feel good, I don't know what will. And they won FIRST PLACE!

This is great! Talk about inventive! :D
-
And they won FIRST PLACE!
Fun!
This would have been my alma mater, had we remained living in the Los Angeles area.
-
And the word of the day is: PALLIATE!
Didn't Frank Thring play Pontius Palliate in Ben-Hur?

Congratulations DR Ginny on DS Rob's graduation!

Congrats to the Vixter. Those cookies look amazing!

Oy. Yesterday afternoon, my mom, sister, niece and i went and decorated my aunt's real Xmas tree.
Anyhow it looked really nice. But my aunt just called to say that when she woke up this morning it had fallen over (even though it is tied to the wall with wire).
:(
Luckily nothing broke cause it sort of fell into something. But she thinks she is going to have to get a new stand and take off all the decorations.
I don't really know anything about real trees. But i know that i would try anything and everything before taking off all the ornaments. I thought maybe if she had a bunch of people she could tie it tighter or something.

Howdy y'all!

Mornin' TD!
-
Good morning, all! I've done my DR Ben impersonation and had my oatmeal and I need to tidy up the apartment before finishing up the final proof of THE MOST HAPPY FELLA. I need to speak to Tommy Krasker this morning; there was a message from him waiting for me when I got home last night, and I need to sort out my daily meds for the week. I believe there is a pharmacy trip in my life tomorrow.
BK, this was posted on Broadwayworld.com last night. I wonder if this has anything to do with the "Christmas Mornings" sales:

I'm up after 5 hours of sleep. It doesn't really matter that I don't fly out until tomorrow evening...anxiety attacks pop up for no reason and won't subside until I cross another few items off my to-do list.
Sigh.
-
Oh,yes.....
.....Good Morning!
:D
-
Nice cookie photos from DR VIXMOM.
Of course it is a workday today. But the temperature will be near 40 degrees which is nice considering in was 19 degrees only two days ago.
-
Probably the sound recording, I enjoyed the BRAIN clip, but some of the diction was awfully muddy.
-
Morning all.
We have another day with a festive party. We will also go up to the new Michael's Craft Store on 100th Street and Columbus Avenue and we visit a friend where we will drop off a few CDs Anthony transferred all before the party (we bought 7 day Metro passes and we are taking advantage of them).
It's back to bag packing tomorrow, which is supposed to be beautiful weather wise (over 50 degrees).
We are waiting for the monthly visit from the exterminator.
Later, Gaters.
-
Good morning.

I have never seen a Living Nativity, drive thru or otherwise. However I was part of The Disco Nativity during the Holiday Survival Game Show at the Phoenix Theatre in 1996.
It was most entertaining. During the climactic moment of the music (of course there was music) - we dropped Cabbage Patch Baby Cheezits from the ceiling on a Fishing Line to glorious response.....except for the night after the show when the woman told us that we were all going to hell. We figured that - but not for The Disco Nativity.
-
This is for DR LAURA http://tinyurl.com/yb7yk37 (http://tinyurl.com/yb7yk37) It's a story from the LA Times about Sheriff Joe
-
I've seen some living nativities. One was really nice, other well....cheesy is a good word for it

Hello everyone-
I'm in New York, New York. Saw Finian's Rainbow again yesterday--I got a $44 ticket TKTS--it was in the rear mezzanine, but not a bad seat! I just love the show-I really can't wait for the CD to be released!
I saw Shrek the Musical later. It's really a lot of fun--Christopher Sieber (sp?) is reason enought to see it--he's hilarious!
Today, I have a ticket for The Royal Family at 2 pm. It's the last performance--it's supposed to be great-I'll let you know what I think!
And then, off to see WSMA, Brent Barrett! I'm looking forward to meeting DRelmore. I think I'll recognize you from your profile picture. I know my picture is small--just look for a follically-challenged guy with glasses!
Bruce, I'm sorry you couldn't make the show-I would have loved meeting you!
Kevin
-
I watched PUBLIC ENEMIES last night. Well.....the HD camera was not the perfect choice for this subject. AND as history it had so many mistakes that it was laughable.
Johnny Dillinger was able to do what he did because he had a larger than life personality! Johnny Depp was on some exploration of his inner self. Marion Cotillard had some trouble with her accent - particularly in scenes of distress - and she had a BIG PIMPLE in the middle of her forehead for the entire movie. Whew.....very distracting.
Best part of the movie for me - Billy Crudup's performance as J. Edgar Hoover.
-
Yes we must have a theatre report from DR KEVIN H.....and photos of the meeting with DR ELMORE.
-
I am off to work. Oh well.
-
Woke up this morning to a ringing phone. It was our neighbor calling to say that our road has been closed by the PA Department of Transportation due to the freezing rain which has basically shut down the surrounding area. Too much ice. It's not expected to get better any time soon. . .Miss Dixie Bell navigating her yard is an interesting site, she's quite cautious, but, she gets the job done.
-
Good morning!
It had rained during the night, but thankfully, the rain had paused long enough for me to get in my morning walk and not to have to resort to the treadmill. It was cold, but not nearlyu as cold as yesterday morning.

THE ROYAL FAMILY was a complete delight. I'm sorry to hear it's closing. Rosemary Harris is a national treasure in my book.
-
I do not have the Christmas Spirit this year. I am in great spirits and VERY excited about moving into the new office, so I'm not saying humbug or anything, but I really don't feel it this year. Maybe I'll catch it in the next couple weeks, but the funny thing is I just don't care.
-
I appreciate the theater reports, DR Kevin. Keep 'em comin'! I wish I could be in NYC for the Christmas season. I've spent several lovely holidays seasons in NYC during my younger yers.

Page Two Dance!!!

I just love the play. Thank god for that wonderful archive DVD with that wonderful 1976 revival where Harris played the younger part and Ellis Rabb was an unforgettable Tony (and won a Tony for directing!).

I've decided on some of my viewing for the day. I'm going to watch IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE this afternoon. TOnight, I'll get to HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. Since the Potter film is so dark, I thought it'd look better in a fully darkened room. My home theater gets pretty dark even during the afternoon when I keep the blinds closed, but there will be much less light in there tonight.
-
Tonight is the season finale of DEXTER, and the show is at such a critical juncture, I'll likely be on the edge of my seat for the entire episode. It's been a really great season for the show.
-
DR KevinH, you should post photos, particularly one of yourself large enough to form some idea of what you look like. I could meet a cheap impostor tonight claiming to be you and hitting me up for millions of dollars. I could lend a fortune to a crook.
-
I don't get to the Messages Boards very often, but I wanted to let everyone know that the new Broadway Radio Show is loaded and it's a very fun interview with Tina Maddigan. Tina was the original Broadway Sophie in "Mamma Mia" and she has just released her first solo CD called "Inside Voice." Check out the show and if you like what you hear, you can follow the link to Tina's website and purchase the CD -- we like to support our musical theatre talent! Thanks :-)

BK, I cannot believe you have never seen ZULU before! One of the great adventure movies of all time and all true. It may seem slow in the beginning, but they are carefully laying in and setting up all the background and exposition, so that once the action starts they're going Hell-Bent-Fer-Leather. Great performances...particularly outstanding is Nigel Green as Colour-Sergeant Bourne.
If you like it...you might want to check out ZULU DAWN directed by Douglas Hickox (he who directed my HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES)...which tells the story of the massacre at Isandhlwana, which happened hours before the battle at Roarke's Drift. Fascinating history, compellingly, dramatically told.
-
The morning has totally gotten away from me. I overslept this morning and have been playing catch-up ever since.
-
It's time for me to head downstairs and get lunch started. I plan to watch LAW & ORDER while I eat lunch. Then on to Bedford Falls with Jimmy and Donna.
WBBL.
-
Well, I've vacuumed and put away a ton of books. Now I need to shut down the computer and deal with this lousy electric plug before I once again unplug the computer and printer and possibly lose lose work. As soon as Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" finishes playing in around another four minutes.
-
Serves me right for writing the notes late - I meant to put the radio show info in there - had it written down right in front of my eyes. Oh, well. I'll put it into tomorrow's notes.
-
I just thought that high school precis of The Brain in seven minutes was sweet and fun.
-
Oh, and I'm up. Sun is out (sort of) and the sky is blue (sort of), so maybe we're done with the rain.
-
Jrand, glad you love the CD. And for many reasons, it's the release of the year for me, too, and not just because it's Kritzerland. I was frankly baffled why more people here didn't go for this - can't just be because it's film music, as if that was a dirty word. It's glorious music - gorgeous, tuneful, touching music by a composer that does have Broadway connections. Well, those who did get it can revel in its beauty.
In a perfect world, BK, I would be first in line to order each and every Kritzerland release. Unfortunately, sometimes mundane concerns like rent and food get in the way of my CD purchasing.

I understand that, of course, but I think you know that is not what I'm talking about. I understand when it's a financial issue - less so when it's not, and there are just folks who do not want "film music" here, which I find baffling sometimes, especially with music this beautiful.
-
Good morning. The Sun was out. Holiday music is on.
Waiting till this afternoon to listen to Love With The Proper Stranger/A Girl Named Tamiko, when I can turn the volume up.
-
Wonderful Brain From Planet X link, many congrats to them for winning 1st place. Might just have to play that loud this afternoon also.
-
I was just about to think about jogging, but the sun went away and now it's looking a little gray out.
-
Have a really good Sunday everyone.
Lots of VIBES ;D and CONGRATS ;D for all the posts (I lazily) spaced out on.
-
Sam, you'll love the second of the next two titles - some of the loudest music ever - it will drive your neighbors crazzzzzzy.
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And it's a nice and lazy and rainy day here in New York City.
-

I like "film music" but I'm selective on what I'm buyng for three reasons:
1. chances I'll ever write or orchestrate a film score are as good as my winning the lottery
2. I have limited storage space
3. I'd rather purchase classical or show albums that are still awaiting CD release
-
...Still lazy...
-
Good morning, everyone.
An interesting day here. BIG dark clouds, but I don't think it'll rain again. Blue skin and some sun, too.
-
I, too, am feeling lazy--and sore. I loaded my car yesterday and brought the first load to DF&H#2's house. The rain didn't help the traffic. DF&H#2 will be helping me today, thankfully. There's still more than will fit in my car.
-
I was invited to the LA Chamber Orchestra last night. It was pouring--AND very foggy. Plus, some small mudslides. I'm glad I didn't have to drive. It was a nice concert.
-
Well some of us who DO love film music, and Elmer Bernstein in particular, and who DID order it, would like to have it DELIVERED. ;)
-
vixmom, GREAT pics of the vixter and her beautiful plates of cookies!
thanks for the vibes
-
And they won FIRST PLACE!

:D
-
I just came back from the mall to help my aunt do some shopping.
The parking lot was very crowded. But more surprising was that there were no empty tables at the food court!
-
I am also looking forward to tonight's finale of DEXTER. Although i just got last week's episode. So it will be at least next Thursday before i can watch the finale.
-
It is snowing out. :(
-
It has rained most of the afternoon here. It has been a soft rain, however, not huge downpours so that's made the rain less objectionable.
-
I watched Friday night's LAW & ORDER while I ate lunch. One of their most baffling cases, a very complex mystery with a number of suspects and some evidence but not enough to bring a case against any of them. And then when the answer finally came to light, wow, what a surprise!
And it was nice to see Benjamin Bratt back reprising his role as the former Detective Curtis.
-
Then I watched the end of the SUPERNATURAL episode I had started yesterday. This is one of my favorite episodes of the season as Dean gets a glimpse of the world potentially five years from now. Eye-opening from beginning to end.
-
Next, I laughed and cried my way through IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. How this movie could have been a box-office disappointment in its day I just don't know. Now it plays beautifully.
-
I picked back up with AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, but I didnt have time to finish it. I only got through one more murder, and then it was time for my afternoon surf. I'll finish it when I go back down.
-
I think Wonderful Life being a disappointment is urban legend. From what I can see, it did fine at the box-office - not stellar, but I believe it made its money back and was up for awards.
-
Did do a two-mile brisk jog, then had a sandwich and onion rings, then took some packages to the post office, and now I'm in for the rest of the day.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! Richard and I had a rainy, foggy drive to Lima early this morning, but it had cleared up a bit by the time we started home. We were just glad it wasn't snow or ice.
-
Thank you to DRs Vixmom, Cillaliz, Jose, and Jennifer for the graduation wishes for Rob.
-
I am home from church, where Kerry was worship leader and Wae-Ling and I lit the Advent Candles.
Then I had my last board meeting. Huzzah!
-
Thanks for the link, Cillaliz.
-
Page three?
-
And not very far on page three at that.
-
Then I had my last board meeting. Huzzah!
ever or for the year?
-

I could swear Capra himself claimed it was a bust in his autobiography and helped put his Liberty FIlms production company out of business. I'll have to see if I can put my hands on the book and read that section again.
-
Now, I need to head downstairs to clean the guest bathroom, put away the folded laundry, and then head back for more viewing.
I noticed that ABC repeated a CASTLE episode on TV last nighty, and the DVR picked it up since I have it set to Season Play. THE MENTALIST is getting a repeat tonight, too, and I saw that it was also set to record.
-
Guess I'll go get those chores done now.
WBBL.
-
Oh, I think you're right about the Capra book - but I think he's incorrect and is saying that in hindsight.
-
I am finishing up six years on the local church board. The rules say I have to take some time off now. I am still on the district board (which I enjoy).
-
I just watched a two part episode of LASSIE from the late 60s...it was one where Lassie's owner Corey Stuart, played by Robert Bray) is badly burned in a fire, and rangers Scott Turner (Jed Allen) and Bob Erickson (Jack De Mave) take Lassie (and the series). It was a real tear jerker.
Evidently, Bray had a bad drinking problem and they finally decided to let him go from the series.
This era of Lassie is what I remember watching as a kid, and I just love it and wish more episodes from this time period were available on DVD.
-
Well some of us who DO love film music, and Elmer Bernstein in particular, and who DID order it, would like to have it DELIVERED. ;)
You can't please SOME people, that's for sure.
-
Oh....sad Lassie episodes are just terrible!
But I remember saying to myself while watching one of those 70's episodes when Lassie was on a motor boat with a man who fell and knocked himself out.... I said....if that dog brings that boat into the dock - I am never watching this show again. She did....and I haven't.
-
Yes kind of a slow day at World Of Wisdom......Christmas shoppers must have done it allyesterday in these neck of the woods.
I may close 1/2 early. We shall see.
-
Just looking through the Complete Lyrics of Johnny Mercer, and, as always with these sorts of tomes, there are some really annoying things and silliness. First off, if you're calling a book "complete" where are the movie lyrics to It's A Typical Day (which differ from the stage version in several stanzas)? If it's there, I sure missed it. Then how about this howler for the Days Of Wine and Roses entry. Blake Edwards wanted a title song and suggested Days Of Wine and Roses - from the poem. Say what? Days Of Wine and Roses WAS the title, and had been the title long before Blake became involved - the piece began life as a live TV drama - yes the title is from a poem, but Blake hardly suggested it in the way they aver. How silly is that?
-
I am finishing up six years on the local church board. The rules say I have to take some time off now. I am still on the district board (which I enjoy).
that is a lot of years to serve on a board. at some time will you have to take a break from the district board?
-
Yes. I just got elected last month for a three-year term. Then I'll go off that one after serving seven years, I think.
-
Okay, enough is enough as Babs said. Page three is no longer acceptable and if we're not off of page three NOW I will seriously...
-
may you have 7 enjoyable years serving on the board.
-
Well, let's just say everyone is very lucky we're now off page three and we'd damn well better be off page four soon.
-
Goodness, this is a slow Sunday (and goodness had nothing to do with it)!
-
It is trying to snow in Tacoma, but it isn't trying hard enough.
-
I can't do this on my own. Why don't the four guests help out?
-
Well, if we are desperate for some posts, I guess I could tell about the chaos in the church nursery. The story involves poop.
-
Better yet, why don't all the errant and truant come back and make some postings. Sunday is not an excuse, oh, no, Sunday is not an excuse.
-
Well, if we are desperate for some posts, I guess I could tell about the chaos in the church nursery. The story involves poop.
Chaos in the Church Nursery is the name of my next book. However, I will pass on the poop story.
-
I am glad sometimes that I am stuck in the soundbooth.
-
Well, look, there is a crowd here now!
-
Laura, you could tell us the story of the Randy Pastor and Kerry!
-
Oh, I forgot my chicken recipe for yesterday.
Take boneless chicken thighs (or boneless breasts cut in two). Smear them with sour cream (and I do mean smear them). Then roll them in Pepperidge Farm Stuffing Mix. Lay them in a shallow baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
-
If the snow continues to come down at its current rate, it will take three years and nine months before it covers the parking lot.
-
We need a lot of mindless posts. Fortunately, JMK is now here!
-
Mr. Barnum has departed without posting. Obviously my rapier wit was too much for him.
-
Football is running long today, so I know that none of the regulars are off watching 60 MINUTES.
-
Jose, please, tell us what you had to eat today!
-
We need a lot of mindless posts. Fortunately, JMK is now here!
Yes, but I never read your posts, TCB. ;D
-
I am struggling to come up with a 1500 word review for HD Moods: Aquarium. :)
-
So MBarnum came and went, did he? Remember what time of year this is, O ye of much errant and truantness and non-postingness - someone is makin' a list and checkin' it twice.
-
Well, if we are desperate for some posts, I guess I could tell about the chaos in the church nursery. The story involves poop.
;D
-
jmk how are you feeling
-
Better, thanks, Jane. I'm thinking it was food poisoning.
How are YOU feeling is the more important question.
-
I have managed to write 1500 words on HD MOODS AQUARIUM.
Hopefully the owner of Blu-ray.com won't mind that 1498 of them are "glub-glub."
-
Got very busy recently, believe it or not there have been some Dec. 15 deadlines - still have to do a return tonight, but it's an easy one.
-
Thanks for reminding me, FJL--I just printed out my SE Tax forms for the 4th quarter.
-
I remember the seasons that Lassie was byself itself.
I remember when they had a Science Fiction story arc. :-)
Lassie gives birth to puppies and then over the course of episodes they are given away to various people.

Hello again--
I just left DRelmore after seeing Brent! I never thought to take a photo to post (but I wouldn't have known how to anyway).
What can I say? Brent was terrific--I think he sang all the songs from the CD-but not in the same order. He also sang "They Say It's Wonderful" and a song I wasn't familiar with, "Romantic Notions," which was great. His encore was a song from "Dance a Little Closer" (in which he had a role), written in 1983. It's "Anyone Who Loves," from his Alan Jay Lerner CD. Brent mentioned how ahead of its time it was (it referred to two gay airline stewards who want to get married).
An older woman in the table in front of me seemed to really enjoy herself. I heard someone say that it was singer Julie Wilson, who I'm sure many of you are familiar with. I have to say I've heard of her, but don't know much else.
And Karen Ziemba, Kevin Spirtas and David Zippel were also there. I'm sure DRelmore can tell us who else he knew (he knows everyone!).
Brent told how the album was born. He said that he and Chris Denny happened to be at the same cabaret as Bruce Kimmel (Kevin Spirtas led the applause at the mention of your name, Bruce!) and Chris mentioned that he and Brent had talked about doing a Christmas album and Bruce agreed to produce it.
I had met Kevin Spirtas previously and asked him if he had seen DRelmore. He pointed him out so I went over to say hello. We had a really nice conversation. As I said, he knows everybody! And I didn't ask him for a million dollars (see his previous post)!
-
I saw The Royal Family earlier. It was really great! Rosemary Harris and Jan Maxwell (that's her name, right?) were just terrific (the rest of the cast too)! And the set was fantastic (as a matter of fact, it got applause when the curtain went up).
I don't have a computer with me, so I'm at a Subway shop that has internet access, so I don't know when I'll be back.
-
DR KevinH - thank you for the report on Brent's show. I'm so glad you were able to meet DR Elmore - he and my husband have been friends since junior high school.
-
Ta Da, Page 5!
-
Better, thanks, Jane. I'm thinking it was food poisoning.
How are YOU feeling is the more important question.
both h1n1 & food poisoning can be very serious. i'm glad you are better.
i over did it yesterday and am taking it easy today. i hope i'm not under stretching and doing more harm. the highlight of my day, keith got the bandages off for me. they were supposed to come off on their own in the shower but didn't, so he gently pulled them off while my shoulder was under the warm water.

If the older woman had a gardenia in her hair, that was Julie. A wonderful woman.
-
We are now on Page Five, so I guess my work is done. KevinH, thank you for the report on WSMA and THE ROYAL FAMILY (which I wish I could have seen).
Jane and JMK (if I read his posts), I am glad to know that you are both doing better.
-
G'night!
**Oh, I have found out that it would take 60 to 90 days to get my retirement funds released to me by the State of Washington. So, for the immediate future, I guess I am stuck with my job.**

And I didn't ask him for a million dollars (see his previous post)!
thank you for the wonderful details. i wish you had remembered to capture the first meeting with DRelmore. i'm sure at least one of our DRs would have gladly posted the photo for you.

tcb i'm sorry retirement isn't happening for you at the moment.

I guess I'll go back to my hotel. The rates for Saturday night were outrageous, so I ended up staying at the strictly no-frills Portland Square Hotel. I stayed in one of the shared-bathroom rooms. It wasn't too bad. The room was miniscule--just enough space for a twin bed, a TV and a little nightstand (but a sink was in the room).
But I moved to the Millennium Hotel, which is very luxurious, as far as I'm concerned. I got it on Priceline for $135 a night for tonight and tomorrow! I highly recommend Priceline!

It is trying to snow in Tacoma, but it isn't trying hard enough.
It's been snowing off and on in Olympia...lately, a little more on! :D

DR TCB - Hmmm.. What have I had to eat today? Hmmm...
-
DR KevinH - Thanks for the Brent Barrett Birdland reportage!
Are you seeing anything else while you're in NYC? There are a few shows than run on Monday nights... ?
-
Loved the Brent Barrett update, KevinH! Thanks!

Today, I worked concessions for a local dance company's production of "The Nutcracker." I came home after eating dinner at Panda Express. Now, I have a headache (I hope that it has nothing to do with Panda) and I'm very tired. I'm going to lay down for a while and get up (or wake up ) when I get up (or wake up).
Until later.
:)

Feel better soon, George!

What a pleasure to meet the handsome and charming DR KevinH. I'm encouraging him to come up soon for a real HHW get-together. Tomorrow he will meet the wonderful DR Ben and Anthony and tomorrow night, he's going back to Birdland because he is a huge Brent Barret fan.
I think tomorrow's show, which I will miss because of another rehearsal, will run smoother; I had two notes for Chris Denny afterwards that might help prevent a few of tonight's traffic jams. Over all, I thought the show was a lot of fun, and the band was fantastic. We didn't have a cello, but we had all the other players abd I adapted the cello part for the bass player for "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "Silent Night." I orchestrated on Wednesday the "Romantic Notions" which flows out of "White Christmas" as the closing number, and Brent did the number from DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER as an encore.
I didn't realize Julie Wilson was there and I would have liked to say hello; when she was doing a workshop back in the 1980s I ran into her on the subway one night and carried her luggage for her to a taxi. She's a beautiful lady.I did see Jim Caruso before the show, and afterwards I spoke to Anna Bergman, Karen Ziemba, Kevin Spirtas, and David Zippel. I think it was a lovely way to start the holiday season.
-
I sat at Brent's table with Barry Kleinbort who directed the show, Bernie Blanks who wrote "Christmas Mornings," which has become one of my favorite songs, and Scott and Anna who's a costume designer.
I need a drink! I had a very good cheeseburger before the show. I liked the Birdland menu.

So you're just around the corner from Equity which is on 46th Street.
See you in the morning.

The last time it snowed here was about 1990.
-
Just dropping in to say hello.
-
Really enjoyed reading about Brent's show tonight from DRs Kevin and elmore.

Headache go away vibes for George.
-
Thanks for the show reports. I always love to hear about the shows folks in NYC are seeing.
-
Sorry about the need to delay the retirement plans, DR TCB.
-
When I got my household chores finished, I settled in to finish AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. Always such a pleasure to watch.
-
Then I watched HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE. The film is very dark (literally and figuratively), but I certainly had a better experience watching it at home than I did at the theater. (I went to this when I was still in the midst of my pain malady this past summer, so I spent much of the movie trying to find a position so that the pain wasn't so distracting.)
I was going to pull up the PiP commentary/behind the scenes featurettes, but then I thought I'd save them for another time. Also, I didn't pull up BD-Live thinking I save it for later.
-
Instead, before the start of DEXTER, I pulled up GLEE and watched portions of the finale episode (meaning all the numbers plus that screamingly funny judges' scene).
-
Then I watched the season finale of DEXTER. I hadn't read any spoilers for the show, but I predicted what happened, well, at least in reagrd to one pertinent plot point. A very riveting episode.
-
Mr. Barnum has departed without posting. Obviously my rapier wit was too much for him.
DR TCB, I was talking to Cheyenne about you last night. Did your ears burn?
-
Headache go away vibes for George.
DITTO!
-
Well, at least we got to page five. But since it's seven-thirty my time I'm sure that means everyone will be WUSSBURGERING momentarily.
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page six.
-
I totally forgot I have to affix labels to boxes before Cason gets here tomorrow - and it's a LOT of boxes. And he just let me know he screwed up and is leaving town Wednesday, our shipping day AND our LACCTAA Christmas party. He'll come here in the morning and I guess we'll get as much done as we possibly can - I'll probably have to do all the big orders myself, but if we can at least get all the small ones off as well as the two or three we have to stand in line to do, I guess that will be okay. And now I have to figure out how to do the LACCTAA thing, which we're providing food for. We were going to go to Costco and get everything, and I cannot and will not do that all by myself.
-
I'm heading downstairs now and going to bed.
Good night!
-
Still around.. Just busy....
I am hoping hubby finds a job. He is having a tough time and his unemployment runs out in a few months. I am also hoping to find something different since where I am working is starting to make me ill. Time will tell. At least for the moment it is a paycheck.
-
Greetings to one and all...

Thanks to DR KEVIN H for the theatre report. Sounds like it was lovely! DR KEVIN H - if you know anyone from HHW - you will find that when you go to the theatre - you get to meet EVERYBODY!
-
Ramon Navarro's BEN HUR is on TCM tonight, but I have it on Video....so I may watch another DVD.
Said EBAY seller who sent me MISS SAIGON instead of Carol Channing finally answered an email tonight and asked that I send it back to him - he got mixed up. He says he has already sent my program to me, so I may mail his back tomorrow - he also said he would immediately put the postage in my PayPal account.
However, my definition of immediately must be different from his definition.
-
Tomorrow is December 14 - I should get a check in the mail!

A seller has several photos from an ABC television show from May, 1958, called BARBARY COAST that stars Allison Hayes and Larry Pennell. Said show - or episode - is not mentioned in either of their IMDB credits - and I can't find that ABC had a show of that title in 1958....it could have been an episode of some show, but .... does any DR have any clues as to what this thing was?
-
Time for to go to bed.

Vibes for DR DAKOTA CELT and her hubby.
Ditto!

Boy, BK, after that big battle with pgenre on Broadwayworld.com about NINE, you two sure have become chummy on the Brent Barrett at Birdland posts today!
-
I know, isn't if funny? I think he felt bad because I think he realized how out of line he was.

There was an ABC show called BARBARY COAST with William Shatner that I remember from my youth. But it was post-Star Trek, so I want to say late 1970s.

trying desprartely to get ready for Christmas - I still haven't gotten my cards done or my tree up or most of teh the presents bought ... and the house looks like a hurriance hit it -- so what have I been busy doing all day and why am I so exhausted?!
Well at least the prezzies for the Canadian family members are bought and and wrapped and boxed and thanks to Jose who told us abouthe USPS website I was able to prepare the 5 part customs forms online and print them out so Vixdad just has to go to the Post Office tomorrow and mail them out (but I am quite concerned that they will not arrive in time for Christmas - I really should have gotten them in the mail last weekedn at the latest...)
