Why not?
I also love BONES.....I wish the leading lady was a bit prettier, but David B. makes up for a lot of short comings.
DR MattH, I agree with you about Miss Deschanel; I think she is perfection as Temperance Brennan. I'm sorry, DR JRand59, I think she's quite beautiful. You just want Diane McBain in the role and I suspect you'd be happier if BONES were a 1960s Warner Brothers production with McBain and Van Williams in the roles. :)
And really, wouldn't every TV show be better with Diane McBain and Van Williams in it!?
DR ELMORE I sent your BRAINEX INDIANA program along - with post-it note addenda, and I also included a very short DVD of an amusing incident that happened in a British pub two weekends ago when the participants obviously didn't know that a friend had a telephone video camera on......and that their hijinks would soon be all around the world for the amusement of those amused by such things.
I cannot keep track of where in the world is Diane McBain!
Of course I have still not transcribed her interview from a few years ago, so I have no reason as yet to figure out where she now resides.
Hey, Lulu!
Good to see you again.
I am one of the few people (in the world it seems and on this site) that is NOT on Facebook.
Mr. Sondheim appeared on the Today show giving a brief (4:22) interview related to the opening of Sondheim on Sondheim.

Does any DR have a nice recording of Irving Berlin's "Always" in a file they can send me? I can't find quite the version I want anywhere.....not much interested in a Jazz/Sarah Vaughan type recording or an instrumental.
It plays a part in BLITHE SPIRIT, of course.
Nope....but thanks. I listened to a sample of that at Amazon.com.....not quite right for me.
Has anyone heard of a 50s and 60s gossip columnist called Bill Dakota? He had a newspaper called the Hollywood Star. He's been e-mailing me - very interesting chap. He found me because I'd posted that wonderful photo I got a couple of years ago of Nick Adams standing in front of the Wiltern Theater - he apparently was Nick's best friend.

I disagree completely about Emily Deschanel. I think she's most attractive and playing a nerdy doctor of forensic anthropology, if she were any more glamorous, it would be ridiculous miscasting. I find the combination of her looks and brains, her mastery of her subject matter with her clumsy handling of real-world matters to be completely disarming and appealing. Her looks are (or should be) beside the point.

And NetFlix, possibly other rental services, get their DVD's after they are available for sale. I expect libraries get them when they are released.
Deanna would be fine....anything that sounds like an old 78 rpm record.
A couple of years ago, Diane McBain was teaching acting at a school in San Francisco. Don't know if that gig is continuing or not.

I just emailed you Nick Lucas' recording.

There was a story recently about Netflix having a 28 day delay on availability for new releases for some studios.

Yay for Sandra being back with us and her usual blithely witty self. We've missed you - and UNDERPANTS!
May I just add that the band Incognito is one of the most funkalicious groups I've heard in the past 25 years. That is all.

I just spoke to Diane and, as I suspected, she has never taught acting in San Francisco or anywhere else.
Could you be thinking of Barbara Bain?
Just got the BK's memoirs. Looking forward to reading it.
Jrand - Curious, though I'm sure you're not a U.K. lawyer, so you may not know - in England, I wonder whether someone can just film someone's antics and then broadcast them without permission? Is no one safe in public?
Nice review!
BK's MEMOIRS would have been a good title. You could have gotten spill-over from the title Patti LuPone picked after her exhaustive nationwide contest.
Nice review!
The large cast included some performers playing smaller roles that only accentuated their limitations.
Hello. That's about it. Going to a meeting of HWHC neighborhood coalition to help him save it...the things I do when I like someone...sheesh!;D Hope the meeting went well.
Note to media - no one cares who is sleeping with Larry King's wife
Jrand - You did hear the most-submitted joke title for the Patti LuPone memoir was WHO DO I THINK I AM?
Nice review!

And the word of the day is: AGRESTIC!
Hector Penate, the guy who says he's having a "full-blown affair" [TCB, any comments?] with Larry King's wife, doesn't look like any Hector I've ever seen.
Let me google-image him for you.

Jose do you ahave any thoughts abou the new La Cage ? The Vixter is anxious to see it. I am a great fan of both the original movie and the 1980's production but I have been wary of this latest incarnation - what do you hear?
Cilla - Who IS sleeping with Larry King's wife?
:)
Hello, everyone.
Continued PAIN-BE-GONE VIBES to MATTH, TCB, JANE, VIXMOM, and anyone else in need.
DR MATTH - I hear you. I hate to sit down at the computer and the modem is not blinking as it should be.....
Ben thankyou for posting that link- have you been to seen the show yet?
Continued PAIN-BE-GONE VIBES to MATTH, TCB, JANE, VIXMOM, and anyone else in need.Thank you, DR Jeanne. Though there is still soreness there, I'm happy to say I have been in much less pain today. As always, it takes three or four days for this to work its way out of my lower back.
I enjoyed GLEE this evening....many new developments and some pretty good musical numbers.
SPARTACUS.....whew! Well I thought it might end this way.....but it was still a lot to take in....
