Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no nanny, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they were just about to come home, but they called their daddy who told them they didn't have to if they didn't want to.
-
And the word of the day is: AFTERCLAP!
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
TOD: Don't know if I'll get to any DVDs this weekend. More overtime has been approved. There's also a few events at the wine festival that I have to cover. So, the weekend is eaten up. Sleep will be on the agenda for any free time.
CDs: We listen to plenty at work, and I think I'm going to take my seven CDs of '70s music, "Have a Nice Decade," to add to the playlist. I've played more than 10 Ella Fitzgerald albums for them and no complaints so far. But rok is more appealing to most.
Have a great one, all.
-
Friday morning greetings! Another full day here in Columbus with the prospect researchers.
TOD - CD(car) - audiobook - The New Year's Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini.
-
Ah ha! I have figured out the LOST enigma!
It is all a dream that the Brain from Planet X is having....and he will wake up at the end of the last episode......oh and Ann Marie and Donald will NEVER get married on the show.
-
CD - Legend of the Lost, Elvis Presley songs and outtakes from BLUE HAWAII & PARADISE HAWAIIAN STYLE.....
Producer: "Can't Help Falling in Love With You....take 27....."
Elvis: "Take 27?! Shit......come on, guys....."
-
DVD - SHE the 1935 version with Randolph Scott, Helen Mack, Helen Gahagan (Douglas) - one of my favorite movies....the ceremonial dance is wonderful.......
-
Today is my last work day this week.....tomorrow the Graduation Luau....and Sunday Auditions for BLITHE SPIRIT.
DR DANISE....I enjoy BOTH versions of IMITATION OF LIFE....but have your tissues ready for the tears.....
-
I voted DR VIXMOM!
-
Shocking stories related by MR BK in the notes....but not all that unusual.....
-
I totally agree with BK's rant about child raising today.
The frightening thing is that these kids will be running our country some day. Hopefully, we won't be around to suffer through that.
-
TOD:
TRUE BLOOD, Season 2
and, if they arrive today or tomorrow:
NIP/TUCK, Final Season
THE CAPTIVE CITY (Thank you, Mr. Barnum)
-
Good morning, all! I'm trying to get my energy up to do some laundry, but so far the lazy slob side of me is winning. I have an edit session with Skip Kennon today at 1 pm, so I'll head downtown around noon. I need to make a trip to Staples this morning for paper and ink to print out several scores.
TOD:
DVD: BATTLE CRY, THEY CAME TO CORDURA
CD: Kimmel Rare Tracks, Liz Callaway, a loty of McGlinn discs
VCR: oy!
-
Ah.....I forgot to add the Kimmel Rare Tracks to my CD list.
Most enjoyable.
-
Off to work.....oh well. It's Friday.
-
"The hardest job kids face today is learning good manners without seeing any." -- Fred Astaire
-
And the word of the day is: AFTERCLAP!
Wasn't that the quickly-cancelled tv series that was the sequel of the long running hit comedy CLAP?
-
I totally agree with BK's rant about child raising today.
The frightening thing is that these kids will be running our country some day. Hopefully, we won't be around to suffer through that.
Why? Where are we going?
-
Peter Filichia's comments on sitting through SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM make an interesting sideline to BK's rant about child raising:

I was going trough some stuff last night and came through some notes about the stage reading of First Nudie Musical. Ted Detwiler played Harry. Too bad he didn't look like this on stage :-)

Maybe I'll watch Nudie Musical over the weekend

And the word of the day is: AFTERCLAP!
It is strongly advised by the National Institutes of Health that one start using protection afterclap!
-
I think BK covered essentially ALL the horrors of current parenting trends among the rich.
I wonder what the simple folk do?
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And it's been another ConEd morning - which means it will most likely be another ConEd day. -Meaning the power to the building keeps getting "interrupted", and, subsequently, so does the Time-Warner cable and internet signal. -And I believe it's even affecting AT&T's coverage in the area this morning too.
-
And the word of the day is: AFTERCLAP!
And The Song Of The Day Is: THE END OF A LOVE AFFAIR
-
As for the Friday Media Check...
Hmmm...
-
I think BK covered essentially ALL the horrors of current parenting trends among the rich.
I wonder what the simple folk do?
Many do the same exact thing except without a nanny. Bad parenting knows no monetary boundries.
-
Well... Since I'm not in the mood to keep resetting the cable modem every 10-15 minutes... And since I'm my cousin for lunch at 1:00 on the East Side... -Oh, and she got married last week! (-In a civil ceremony here in NYC, with a big church wedding planned for this summer in Seattle, I believe)... Well...
Laters...
-
My dismay over the reformattng of the Herbert scores has my crew up in arms at me and the morning has been tense and unpleasant.
The slob above me is finally out of bed and moving about; I can hear his footsteps.
Bad Day At Black Rock.

Cranberries!

This is the comment in the email concerning the differences in my decision on the harp parts in my last edit and what made me unhappy yesterday:
With regard to the harp parts, it's been the practice to cross-beam the harp when possible, as part of our updating process.
In "Our updating process" my opinion was never asked for, and I have the title of "Editor."
-
That article is exactly right....all over the country.....it is a generalization - not every teen is like that....but I will give them the majority. Sad....at any event, play, musical, movie, sporting event...and it wasn't always like that. I know it wasn't, I was there.
-
DR JOSE is his own cousin?
-
Busy this morning at World of Wisdom.....but just here and there.
-
What Is The Sound Of One Hand Clapping?
-
DR JOSE is his own cousin?
I'M MY OWN GRANDPA
-
No, it wasn't always like that - it's why I went on, at length, about my early theatergoing experiences in Kritzer Time - I wanted kids who read the book to know what it was like to experience theater - seeing it, sitting in a theater, and the fact that the audience did not behave like they were watching a wrestling match.
-
I'm up after some pretty peculiar (not bad) dreams.
-
DR Jennifer, I meant do you purchase the saran wrapped gefilte fish at a deli. Then you also see it in cans? I've never seen it in cans & only fresh at a deli, not a super market.
-
I voted DR VIXMOM!
I did too!
-
DR JOSE is his own cousin?
More prefereable, dontchathink, to being "my brother-my son, my brother-my son, my brother-my son"?
-

Dan, I really enjoyed the Tennant HAMLET.

What Is The Sound Of One Hand Clapping?
[Clap} "Owwww"! [Clap] "Owww"! [Clap] "Owww"!
-
BK, enjoyed your rant on disconnected, self-absorbed parents. Despite what people claim: You cannot have it all; if your careers are that important, don't have children.
-
Cranberries!

I recall that, when I was growing up and we went to the theater...even community theater...men wore a coat & tie.
Today, you see jeans and a t-shirt.
:(
-
Wasn't there a joke about a scale-down version of APPLAUSE (or was it a sexed-up version) called CLAP?
(as in LAUREN BACALL in CLAP)
-
Jeans and a T-shirt...two bits!
-
DVD - SHE the 1935 version with Randolph Scott, Helen Mack, Helen Gahagan (Douglas) - one of my favorite movies....the ceremonial dance is wonderful.......
I wonder if Helen Gahagan is related to that nice family that was on THE AMAZING RACE: FAMILY EDITION?
-
I think BK covered essentially ALL the horrors of current parenting trends among the rich.
I wonder what the simple folk do?
Many do the same exact thing except without a nanny. Bad parenting knows no monetary boundries.
And I don't believe it to be only a recent thing. Look at how many vintage movies cover that same child rearing topic.

Topic of the Day: a bunch of CD through VERY kind courtesy of Elmore! :-*

Going to church used to be like that -- men in suits or jackets/ties, women in fine apparel. But going back as far as 30 years ago, it all seemed to change into something utterly profane. Noteverywhere, mind you....but I've been appalled going into a fine cathedral and seeing someone who appears to have either come from a campling trip or plans on leaving for one after mass.
If a person is wearing his best, even though a bit tattered, it's still respectful. Today, I suspect it's just the cleanest of the jeans/T-shirts/leotards or stretch pants that happen to be in the bedroom or atop the hamper.
-
I remember when ladies wore nice hats and gloves to church.
There are isolated pockets of civilization where this is still seen. But it used to be "the norm".

The theater has become an extension of people's entertainment rooms at home. It happened with movie theaters forty years ago, and now it's happened with live theater, and I blame some of it on Disney and the way they brought Beauty and the Beast to B'way as if it were a movie onstage. Even thirty years ago (maybe even twenty or ten) you were not allowed to bring food of ANY sort into a live theater. What's next, nachos?
-
Wasn't there a joke about a scale-down version of APPLAUSE (or was it a sexed-up version) called CLAP?
(as in LAUREN BACALL in CLAP)
What is it that we're living for
Clap-clap, Clap-clap
Nothing I know brings on the glow
Like sweet Clap-clap
You're thinking you're through
That nobody cares
Then suddenly you hear it starting...
-
Greetings from Toyland! I did do laundry but because of all the tsuris over the harp redo I did not mop the floors. I'll do that this afternoon when I get home.
I'm having chicken salad and waiting for Mr Kennon.
-
DR FJL just called and Skip will be a little late. No problem at all. I can get our next edit assembled.
-
Time to take a shower and get to work...and Elmore's CDs! :D
Until later!
-
Well, no one can say we didn't get to page three. I so do not want to go to this meeting this morning. We'll see how it and our Monday morning conference call goes, but the fact is I may have reached my saturation point with this show - I'm not sure if I have the energy to spend another number of months with too many phone calls, too many meetings - even if the drama was not in evidence - and I'm not sure the latter will ever be gone. We'll see how today goes.
-

I remember going to see OKLAHOMA! (the movie), which was initially a "hard ticket" release. and men were wearing coat & tie.

I must disagree about having it all. It can be done, with patience and careful planning. Betsy and I specifically geared our work schedules for the first few years of the kids' lives so that there was ALWAYS at least one parent home ALL THE TIME. Yes, it meant some sacrificing and schedule shifting, but we did it. We still make sure one of us is home after the kids get home from school--it's usually, but not always, me. And Betsy and I both have fairly successful careers.
-
Now for my semi-exciting Yesterday's Qwest Adventure:
When I placed my order, I was told in no uncertain terms the new phone would be active at 8 a.m. and the internets by 5 p.m. When at 11 or so I had no phone, I called and they said it would be done by 12:11 p.m. (Yes, that exact). I waited until 12:30 and nothing. Called back, they said it would be done by 2:07 (I'm not making this up). Waited until about 2:30, and then entered my own personal Kafka story. Calling Qwest's 800 number I got a recording telling me their offices had closed and to please call their 800 number (the very number I was calling). After about 45 minutes of that nonsense, I finally got through to a woman in Boise who told me (ready for the unintentional irony?) they were having phone problems. She couldn't transfer me to repair but gave me the 800 number. I called and within about 30 minutes two VERY nice female techs showed up and started testing my lines (not a euphemism). Here's where my stupid mistake comes into play--it turns out I had plugged the cordless into the socket with the wrong adapter, so the phone was not working. But they did discover several anomalies with the duplex jacks here which they fixed. They could not, however, get my DSL up and running. So finally about 6:00 a DSL tech came and got that working.
Whilst all of this was going on, the movers were shlepping and the DirecTV installer was busy drilling through my downspout (not a euphemism).
So I don't want to hear any complaints about HHW tsuris, got me? :)

If you're sacrificing, you're not having it all. I'm talking about self-absorbed parents who think they can go about their careers and lives just like when before they had children. Be absent parents and hand the kids off to the nanny. They think their only responsibility becomes financial which usually ends up meaning, a spoiled, entitled child with no boundaries and discipline or self-restraint.

I wonder what the simple folk do?
To me what BK described cannot be the norm except either in LA or with very rich people. Most people don't have nannies.
I'm sure there are spoiled kids everywhere. But almost all the parents i see are very loving and spend a lot of time with their kids.
-

I've not seen it in cans. And i get it at the grocery store.

Here is a question for all you classical music turned musical theatre savvy people. I just heard on the "Musical Talk" podcast a reference to Coplands "The Tender Land" being associated with Rogers and Hammerstein. How are "The Tender Land" and Rogers and Hammerstein connected?
Oh, hello everyone! Happy Friday!

You can have beer and nachos at the Murat Theatre and watch JErSEY BOYS next weekend...."direct from Broadway" - and you don't even have to wait until intermission to buy them....you can wander in and out of the auditorium any time you damn well please.
Yes, DR CP and I both wore jackets to BRAINEX Indiana style.....sometimes I wear a casual shirt and sandals to PCPH, a BARN theatre....and I dress casually if I'm giving the curtain speech, so people don't think they have to get ALL gussied up to come and see us.....
I don't know why there is no respect for anything, anybody, or any event....anymore....generally.

Good afternoon. A glorious morning, which I spent walking around some new sewage ponds. I witnessed some excellent parents this morning -- both parents were caring for the children. They were coots.
-
Now I am watching another excellent parent: Jeanne, teaching her children how to eat kibble.

Is there an HHW conflab going on somewhere?
It's been an hour and a half since the last post!

I wondered what that was. I thought it sounded encouraging, though! Thanks for "applauding" and not "clapping".

Time sure whizzes by when you have things to do BEFORE you leave for home!
-
Hate (love) Hate (love) these Friday afternoon tizzies.
-
I've decided to take Monday off. I have the time, and I'm gonna take it.
-
Maybe this weekend I can actually listen to some music on CD for a change.
-
I wonder who our two guests are.
-
I'm tapping as fast as I can.
-
Whenever I think God is watching, I sing, I dance, and I do a little commercial for myself.
-
(I stole that line from Lily Tomlin).
-
Lunch is weighing heavily upon my tummy.
I had a nice lunch plate consisting of Minestrone (tasted as thought it had just been started...no flavors had melded), penne with bolognese sauce (a very rich-tasting mixture of sausage, chicken and beef...that unfortunately had the conistency of soft cat food that has been spit up)...and a really nice Misto salad which was the one thing I thought truly good.
But...I did eat it all.
-
For supper....soda crackers, I think.
-
I'm looking forward to catching up on some programs recorded last night. I haven't watched "Fringe", "Bones" or "Flashforward".
I did watch "Supernatural" -- season finale. While I think this season has been totally sensational, storywise, I thought that last night's episode was a bit too staid and uninvolving. Even though some terrible things happened, I wasn't particularly moved. I'm wondering if that will change if I watch it again this weekend. I was disappointed, I was.
-
I also have NCIS from earlier in the week to watch.
-
I rewatched "Lost" last night. And, yep...I still thought it was a great episode. I don't know who the woman was and we may never know (hopefully that's wrong). My feelings about the smoke monster are less negative (i.e., in a "boo, evil" way) as he was quite a decent-seeming man until the woman did those terrible things.

Finally back home. Horrendous traffic coming back from the Hills of Woodland - and I don't mean the freeway. I mean I drove five miles north and completely out of the way to a street that I thought would be free and clear all the way across the Valley - but it wasn't, Blanche, it wasn't. This morning's meeting was interesting and if the long musical is going ahead it's going to be a VERY different show, which includes the main setting and the title.
-
I came home after that for about three minutes, then had to deliver a big box o' CDs to a local dealer and then had to meet Mr. David Wechter - we'll be starting to write in earnest next week.
-
We went to Jerry's Deli in Woodland Hills - I had my usual turkey sandwich and a small side split of fries and onion rings.
-
Now I must go over the Andrea questions to make sure I'm covering all bases.
-
Got back from Columbus in time to have a quick supper with Richard before he left for the last symphony chorale rehearsal before tomorrow night's concert. When you leave our state's capitol city at 4pm on a Friday, the outer beltway is like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway :o
-
Off to the theater! After tonight's show, our Joyce and her (real) husband Michael are hosting a cast party! It'll be a long night, I'm sure.
Until later...much later!
-
We went to Jerry's Deli in Woodland Hills - I had my usual turkey sandwich and a small side split of fries and onion rings.
Last time we were in L.A. we went to Jerry's in Westwood so I could buy some challah & rye breads. The challah was just ok, the rye bread horrible.
-
Ginny, did you get a change to read? I left Margaret doing what we knew all along she would do, applying to schools. If the library were open today I would be visiting Molly tonight, instead I shall be returning to the sisters & their family.

Sounds dirty to me,
-
I do believe that people, at least women, dressed up to go shopping...at least they did not TV.
When we lived in Michigan there was a semi small upscale shopping center. During the weekdays woman dressed up to shop & lunch there. On the weekends things were more casual when the men & families shopped. I always enjoyed going their with my girlfriends.
-
And remember when we used to dress up for an airline flight?
-
DR Ginny, I don't remember dressing up for an airline flight. I dressed in comfortable clothes for barfing in. Sorry to be so descriptive. Since I was eight when I went on my first flight it is possible back then I wore a dress. Back then little girls usually wore dresses.
-
I see nothing wrong with nice jeans, a nice shirt (I never tuck in any shirt) and sneakers.
-
Oh, Jane, sorry you had to take *that* into consideration when you were going on an airplane. Seems to me that I didn't start dressing down to fly until I had Rob with me. First time we flew together he was 6 months old and I took him to Phoenix to meet my aunt and uncle while my mom was out there visiting (before she moved out there).

Good Evening!
Well... I am not my own cousin. ;)
However... My cousin, Kristine, did get married recently - back on May 4. In Seattle, not New York City. However, she is still planning on a church ceremony in Seattle sometime down the line.
-And we did have lunch today at Vynl. After we were done eating, I washed up in the Dolly Parton bathroom, and she used the Nelly Furtado one. ;)

For rain and wind and fire.
The rain is Tess, the fire is Jo
And they call the wind Ma-r-iah
Next!
Don't call us. We'll call you.

I still do have to worry about it. I'm much better now & has been a long time since I've been that sick. Thank goodness!!!
I'm amazed when I see women all dressed up to fly, especially when they have children with them. I keep reading it is important to wear good shoes that tie securely when flying, in case you have to make an emergency exit. I often see women wearing very flimsy sandals, forget the flight how do they manage running through an airport to catch a connecting flight ;)

As for shoes: With the TSA requiring everyone to take their shoes off now, most(?) people have switched to wearing loafers, sandals, flip-flops, espadrilles, etc., when flying. Just speeds things up on both sides of the security screening.
-
I don't want to walk on those floor barefoot-lol. I have worn shoes that are easier to take off & put back on, still prefer trekking the airports in my good running shoes.
-
I have a flying outfit. So I won't set the metal detector off.
-
Speaking of inappropriate dress, I was amazed at how some of the people were dressed at the conference. Now I know that even business dress codes have relaxed a bit, but I don't think :o cleavage is suitable for this particular profession.
-
And with that, I'm going to bed - 'night!
-
And I'm back, when I should be programming the keyboard for tomorrow's LSOH rehearsal. 4th time through, you'd think I know what it needs to sound like. Then the creative bone takes over....
-
Thank you for the serenade Ron!!

Some of us simple folk need to work just to pay the bills and some of we very lucky ones have retired parents living in the neighborhood to collect the child after school until she is old enough to com e home on her own

TOD : Bruce Kimmel Rare Tracks
the Vixter's favorite tracks: The Nerd and The Frog Dissection
I am quite partial to Someone Special and Truly Married
-
The Vixter asked me to mention that voting is still going on for the Deer park video you can vote every day for the next 7 days
Please pass the link to all your Facebook Buddies and ask them to vote too!
To all of you who have already voted - thanks!!!

Re the Sondheim article - Ithink it wpould depend on the kids- obviously these kids had no interest tinteh material or had not been given an introduction to it prior to the show
The Vixte's musical theater teacher plays OCRs or show dvd s of shows to the kids bedfore taking them to see the shows - geberally they have been appreciative audiences when I have been with them - unlike the cretins I shared the audience with last Saturday

And one for DR MBarnum (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/139573-Bombay-Dreams-Headed-to-the-Silver-Screen)
You beat me to the punch! :)
Although I will certainly go to see this movie, one wonders why they would make it...as a play, it is unique...but as a movie, well you could find hundreds of films just like this already having been made in India.
...but as I said, I will certainly go see it (but oh, how I would love to see the stage version!)
-
So...
For those DRs in Los Angeles... Apparently the earth just moved out there again. Did you feel anything?
-
Well, this is a very good boy who's mother stays home all day with him then works online as a medical transcriptionist at night. He has manners, is kind and is the happiest kid I've ever seen

Until I found some of these old tapes for the rare tracks CD I'd completely forgotten about Truly Married, which, as stated, I wrote for a friend of a friend's wedding. I thought it would be a unique gift. When I played it I thought it was really nice - in fact, it took me aback because I wasn't even thinking about it like it was something I'd written - I just thought it was a simple, eloquent song. I may stick it on the next Guy Haines CD, newly recorded.
-
Finished with my viewing. Must write a few more Andrea questions and that will be that.
-
I'm in Wisconsin with my parents. We came to visit my nephew and his family. Gabe is just the cutest kid. I may be biased, but he didn't fuss all day, smiles, dances, says please and thank you and is a joy to be around
-
I don't understand how Someone special didn't become a hit in the 70's it was a perfect fit to the music soundtrack of my high school and college years!

Enjoy your visit Cilla!
-
JMK I am glad that your move is nearly accomplished - I hope the Landlord process goes well for you!
-
Thanks Vixmom. It's a short visit and my nephew is going to end up working all weekend so we won't see him much, which I feel sorry for him about, but we're having a good time
-
Good Evening!
-Have I said that already?
If so... Well, at least it's a post.
-
Alas, I guess I should have asked for travel vibes for my youngest brother earlier today. He's stranded in Dallas overnight due to storm-related delays and cancellations. On the bright side, he was able to get a flight into Dulles tomorrow afternoon instead of into DCA tomorrow night. Hopefully, the skies will be friendlier tomorrow.

Travel Vibes for Jose's Brother!
-
I purchased some solar lights last week and set them up in the back yard amongst the hostas. They work much better than I had thought they would and I think they are very pretty!
-
Vibes the traveling thing works out for Jose's brother!

- but it wasn't, Blanche, it wasn't.
Why are you telling my dog? :)

Debby, if you think our move is nearly accomplished, have I got a bridge to sell you. ;)

Plus, I just discovered the HOA left us off of the neighborhood garage sale tomorrow, so my chances of unloading all this S*** is nil. In the good news department. one of the young guys who helped shlep this enormous Hitachi projection unit out of the basement (it took 5 big, burly guys and they were all straining, let me tell you) decided he wanted it, so that's good news.
-
I did get the entire house rekeyed today, including putting on deadbolts on all the exterior doors which didn't have them already (and there were several). Really cool, funny Sabra (native born Israeli) locksmith, who told me, "I'll be done in time for Shabbat. It doesn't matter at all to me, but in case it does to you." :) He also helped lift the tv, so I gave him a tip.
-
He asked me if I were related to an Israeli schoolmate of his named Kaufman. I said I might be, and he answered, "It's better for you if you're not--he was an awful person." :)

DR JMK - When I was living in Richmond, I somehow ended up with a Qwest phone account. I believe it was some sort of scam and/or joke. I was not charged for anything, but I somehow had an account. It took about three weeks and countless phone calls to close that account which I had not opened in the first place. I still cringe whenever I'm in Arlington, VA, and I drive by their office building in Ballston.
-
Both he and his father were Israeli Air Force. He only got to fly a Cessna, which made me laugh. He told me, "They don't send you out in a 50 million dollar aircraft right away." ;)
-
Still procrastinating....

I was aghast at Qwest until the three workers showed up here personally to solve everything. That earned a bit of customer loyalty back. Portland is still pretty much a one horse town as far as phone service goes. Some neighborhoods do offer Comcast, but Qwest is the biggie out here.

Well... My eyes are tired...
Goodnight.

We have been enjoying this gigantic Panasonic that came mounted on the stone fireplace. I splurged and got two of the new DirecTV boxes, one with an HD-DVR and the other one with "sharing" capability, so even though only the bedroom unit records, I can watch stuff anywhere. The wireless is a bit of an issue here since the house is so big and I prefer to have the modem/router with the computer.

LOL! I know better than that I have boxes I still have to unpack and we moved here 18 years ago

bedtime for me - goodnight all!
-
Welcome ten GUESTS.

Has Ann caught up yet?
-
Good evening all.
It has been a long week and I am tired. This weekend is full of birthday parties and travel and concerts and jazz singing and seeing family and more travel.
I agree wholeheartedly with BK's rant on (some) parents. Every day I see parents who are reaping the rewards of inconsistency and over-spoiling of their children. I have tremendous respect children, even at a young age. I know they have their own wants and needs and I want them to feel as they have a valid self, a voice, even when they are young. This does NOT mean, however, that I allow them to rule the roost, be it my classroom or my home. I set rules, boundaries, and expectations because I have their best interests at heart. They might not like all the rules, but they will follow them. Where there is room for freedom and choice, I give it freely.
Toby is still too young for me to have encountered a lot of these problems, but he knows the expectations of him even now. He knows when bed time is, that he has to eat a good dinner before he gets his fruit for dessert, and that he is not allowed to touch Daddy's LCD TV screen.
Jed and I both work full time, it's true, but our situation has proven to be a good one. Toby goes to school with me, I get to watch him play and learn all day, and then we drive home together. He is my constant little companion, and I adore every minute of it.
-
This evening I sat in the rocking chair reading BK's book as I waited for Toby to fall asleep. I kept reading until it was too dark in his room to see the pages. I will now go up to bed and read some more before I sleep. I am loving this book.
-
In our DVD player is a disc from season 2 of Quantum Leap.
-
Ann, you and Jed are ideal young parents, the kind I was with my daughter. It's heartening to hear and I know there are others like you - just not enough.
-
Jamming now... may be finished by midnight
-
I have showered and am very relaxed.
-
I too am relaxed.
I received the internet KEY to Contribute and have updated the theatre website with everything I know.....
-
Next time I play the keyboard part for LSOH, it will be in VINTAGE instruments!
-
Good Evening!
-Have I said that already?
If so... Well, at least it's a post.
Barely....
-
- but it wasn't, Blanche, it wasn't.
Why are you telling my dog? :)
It's because you're a lesbian.
-
Why is it Vixmom is here when I'm not?
Hey, Debra!
-
Right now, it's me and ZERO guests.
That must be my cue to go to bed.
-
Bed, bed, I couldn't go to bed.
