Well, you've read the notes, the notes had both Marcovicci and magic, and now it is time for you to post until the magic cows come home.

Back from Jerry's.  Had some rye bread and then a small piece of chocolate mousse cake.  Tomorrow I am back on a diet.  And will not stop until ten pounds are gone.

Well...I can only speak for myself, and myself says, "No.  I've never heard of 'Pream'."

Well, I hate to do it (NOT!), but I must take out my contact lenses and get my butt cheeks (and the rest of me) to bed.  For the first time in quite a while, I can sleep in for as long as I want!  No show, no rehearsal, no work and no sister! ;)

Good night!

Up too early and off to work too soon. Anyway, I remember Andrea M. from her days on "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing" on, I believe, CBS.

Question: Since she only had two songs to pick from her vast repertoire, what were the two?

I must agree with everyone's comments on MR BK's biography....and I said so in my Amazon review.

Yes i add the extra raisins before baking. I just use regular tea bags. But i think you're right, you could easily change the flavor depending on what brand of tea or what kind you use.

I'm up and about to go to work.  Instead of Marcovicci Magic, for me it's Streisand Magic, as I must, must, must (that is three musts) get my review of the Village Vanguard concert up today.  Was it JohnG who was in the waiting line?  I paused at that moment to try to remember, but alas, I have been through too much the last few days and my brain is fried.

I've never understood this constant I've-got-a-review-deadline from you and DR Matt H, because I know too many reviewers in NYC who let the discs pile up as possessions and review maybe one of out, what?, fifty, or often let them pile up for months and review a batch at once.

This article has been available online the past few days, but it's "in print" in today's New York Times.  Quite a good read.  NO REAL SPOILERS.

The Men Who Made ABC’s ‘Lost’ Last (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/16/arts/television/16weblost.html)

"Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, show runners for “Lost,” talk about how they kept the series going for six seasons and what it meant."

Well I had the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth pulled.

I can honestly say I was numb (at least on the left side of my face) when the dentist asked if I wanted a fake tooth put in.

"How much?", I asked

"Three THOUSAND", was the reply.

I knew I was drooling but I didn't think it affected my hearing.

I asked what the price was with my insurance.

Same reply but I was told I could do a bridge.

"How much", I asked.

"Fifteen hundred." Was the reply.

"With or with out insurance?"

"With!"

I thought I was going to choke.

It's going be awhile before I have anything done.  I'm just going to have to used to not having that tooth on the left side for awhile.

I thought I' d be in a lot more pain then I was.  I was just very, very, very tired afterwards and slept a good deal of yesterday away too.

I think it may have been a bit of sticker shock.

The new book's sales rank is pretty great right now (it will change within the hour - they always do), something like 43,000 - to break 50,000 is fantastic when you understand that amazon carries over something like three million titles.  So, someone's buying the book :)

Me I am more interested in the SURVIVOR finale. I really have no idea who will win.

I'm not even totally sure who i want to win.  I'd be curious who those who watch want to win.

It's interesting to me because last season i hated russell for the first half of the season. And then ended up loving him. But i am not liking his this year and want him out.

And Colby who i loved loved loved when he was on originally has been extremely disappointing to me this year.  I can't believe that someone who was so physically dominant on season 2 could be the first out in every challenge now. It's quite unbelievable.

Then there is Jerri who was always bitchy. But now she is sort of honest and genuine.

Then we have Parvati who has never really been my favorite. But she is strong in comps and has really done amazing this season.

But most surprising to me is Sandra, who i disliked in her year and who i did not like at all for the first half of this season. Now i love her. I think she is sly, sneaky and hilarious and i actually would not mind at all if she won again.

JMK--I'm the one in the DVD, in the very beginning, a couple of people to the right of my friend with the banner.  Like fools, we were out there for hours, and Richard Jay Alexander, the producer, came out during the show and told us that Barbra was going to say hello to the fans after the show.  Well, that never happened, but I have to say that it had started to rain a little and the crowd had gotten pretty big. I think she was scared!

I haven't seen it in well over 50 years and it's amazing how well it holds up.  Very low key.

The folks in Hollywood should study this one if they want to know how to make am excellent thriller without all that cgi car chase crap.

There are two apartment buildings in the complex where I live.  When I came home from the store this afternoon, I saw that there was someone new moving into the other building.  When he first turned around, I thought for sure that it was Josh Groban.

Of course, that is ridiculous; because if Josh was living in these apartments, he would definitely be living with me.

Since this morning, I've watched three episodes of "The Big Bang Theory," two episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and this past Friday's "Ghost Whisperer" and "Medium."  I'm now going to watch the last four, count 'em FOUR episodes of "FlashForward" (even though it's being cancelled :().  That'll take me up to tonight's "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters."

...and read the reviews for BK's book!

Vibes to DR WFO and Joe....such shocking news.

I must agree with everyone's comments on MR BK's biography....and I said so in my Amazon review.

DR Jane - Nell, Lydia, and Cate have accompanied me on this trip and I have about 50 pages to catch up with you!

I'll wait for you.  I've been learning more about the "girls", still don't know much about Nell yet.  I have issues with Lydia's reasons for leaving her husband.

Bill Edwards, who played Forrest Noble, the mayor's son in HAIL THE CONQUERING HERO, was quite handsome....and very funny.

Well I hope they don't look like him.

It is mind boggling.  When we lived in Michigan there was an area I refused to live in as too many homes looked like parking garage complexes. ;D  I didn't care how charming the house was if I had to drive by those homes everyday to get to my neighborhood.

The steel roofed houses became a running joke on the trip.  At first everyone was teasing me, but then as the trip went on and we saw roof after roof after roof that had been installed by people who were either color blind or just had no taste, they started agreeing with me

It's been another one of those work days. Glad for the money, but would love a day off. The computer program we're using is on a national server. And it crashes often. Too often to get much work done. So they have us doing busy work. Today, it was up and running no problem, well, except only two of us could use it at one time.

But the afternoon was nice. I raced from the office to a barbecue cookoff, which helped close out the wine festival that I'm helping with. Judged smoked chicken, ribs and brisket. Some excellent entries and some really, surprisingly lame entries. Last year, we couldn't stop eating the ribs. This year, with the exception of the winner, we really didn't want to taste much of them. Rubbery and tired. But there was plenty of wine, fun music and the great outdoors.

I've been playing Kritzerland catch-up. "Cry for Us All" arrived Friday and I'm managed to find the time to listen to it twice. While some of it is dated (ditch the kids, please) and a few of the lyrics seem too obvious, there is really some gorgeous material on the album. Love the waltz and Helen Gallagher's number. And the singing is great. Need time to listen to it, rather than just play it in the background. Thanks for releasing it, BK.

Another JohnG?
