Good morning George
Just in case anyone missed this from late last night (actually, about a half hour ago):Thank you again for doing this.QuoteHere's the list that I have for the DVDs of South Pacific (SP) and "High School Stories" (HSS):

The only thing left is that I just need Matthew's address and MBarnum's address...and anyone else's who would like to be added to the list.
And the word of the day is: SURCEASE!
The kittens have gone for spaying and adoption. It will be very quiet for a couple of days.
More like beg for food, Elmore. She hasn't scratched the furniture since I started using the spray bottle.
Friday morning greetings! My test this morning went smoothly and no blood clots found. I was back home by 9:30, so have some a few hours to putter until it's time to go back to Atrium for today's cardiac rehab session. No Kindles yet, but it's too early for the mail carrier.Yeah on the test results!

TOD recorded interviews with the police of clients confessing to various crimes on my office computer
Congrats to DR Ginny on her clotlessness.
Ethan Frome is better read when you want to read than being forced to read it for a class. It's slim and a sad view of a hard life. "Summer" is also a good, short Wharton read. My fave is "Age of Innocence," a slyly caustic tale of fury and not enough sound that has some ugly laughs in it.
Well thanks to one and all for the HHW vibes. Our opening night went very well.....even better than expected. We had a fine crowd - probably 3/4's of a house......with laughs from start to finish....AND a standing ovation began when Kenny & Shalynn came out for their bows (Charlie & Kate, the kids), and it finished up as Diana & I came out.....lots of nice comments.
So - I am thinking this will be a good run!
Only a half day of work today.....and then Friday night - our least responsive audience, historically, so we shall see.
TOD:
My wife and I were almost on the floor last night, LOL, watching the movie version of NOISES OFF!
Good morning, all! I am in less pain than I thought this morning so that's fantastic.

Elmore's sad comment about McGlinn's living situation reminded me of when I got to my parents' house after my Mom had died. She had decided to stay in the huge house they had built in the mountains outside of SLC even after my Dad had died, which was probably not a good decision in retrospect. I quickly discovered the hot water heater had no pilot light and Lord knows how long she had been living there without hot water. She got pretty weird toward the end--we think she may have had a stroke, and I've often wondered what her last weeks were like there.

I just added NOISES OFF to our NetFlix queue.
Got a one-day extra gig doing "My Generation." Now, if I only knew what the show was about. Anyway, it's a bit of type casting, again. The first couple of times I worked on "Friday Night Lights," I was a media type. Now I'm a restaurant customer.

Here is actual photographic evidence of the new do.
George, I'm going to take the SP DVD to my parents' house and I don't think they have a widescreen TV. Can I show the widescreen on a regular tv? If not, I'd like the regular. Thanks

No, that's the problem. If you play the widescreen DVD on a regular TV (even though it's not a high-def DVD), the picture will be squished and not watchable. If you have a widescreen TV (or if anyone else has the same situation), I could send you both versions of SP...that wouldn't be a problem at all!

DR Jane, How is Sherlock today?
In any case, the folks at Delta helped me rebook for a later flight, and I arrived Atlanta about an hour ago. So far, so good. We're at an airport hotel this year, but it's a surprisingly nice one. And since Cindy at the desk took the time to look up my old Starwood Preferred Guest information, my room now comes with FREE WiFi, breakfast, lunch and afternoon cocktails. :-)
And I have just the Vera Bradley item to carry mine in!
I'm back from Sara Jean's audition and she is unbelievably fantastic. Since the audition was for a Victor Herbert recording, I told her to bring something operetta-ish, so she showed up, sang "Mein Herr Marquis" from DIE FLEDERMAUS, and knocked our socks off: precise coloratura, great regard for the lyrics, and a high D to shake the ceiling. The Naked Hercules Zak and MD Billy, who was a coach at the Met and can be a real vocal critic, both were floored by her talent. And what's worse is she's beautiful, very sweet, and extremely talented. Billy's coment after she left was, if you believe in divine providence, God sent her.

I got my keys to the new apartment today...about a week early! Hopefully I can get a lot of stuff moved over on my own this weekend...I am enlisting the aid of neice and nephews to move the furniture on the 19th.

Great news, Larry!
So, we're set with an audition at 4pm today. Sara Jean Ford, who was Kate's standby on FINIAN'S RAINBOW, will come in and sing for us this afternoon. She's just taken over the role of Christine in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway.

Just got a documentary from Netflix about the lives of adult film stars. I forget the title, but rest assured it is just for research purposes.
CD:
Soundtracks to 3 new Telugu (or maybe they are Tamil) films. VARUDU, DESHAMUDURU, and GANGOTHRI.
Awaiting the arrival of pianist and singer - I hope she knocks my socks off, although then I will not be wearing any socks.

They didn't have room at the clinic to keep the kittens, so they had me bring them back home.
They must be having a bad reaction to the anesthetic. I have never seen any cat or kitten act like this. It is very frightening. It sounds like Halloween here. :(

Has anybody here seen SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND?
Is it as bad as I hear?
I was sent the DVD of the series and I'm wondering if I should waste my time with it.
DR George - PM me your address....I'll find you some fun key chains~!

inny I am so happy about your test results --- the Long Island Lutherans contiinue to pray for your continued recovery
Surprisingly, I just got a call from the clinic. It sounds like a normal reaction to the anesthetic, she said. They see it all the time, but they don't usually send the animals home until they are over it. I suspect they spayed mine at the end of the day and they didn't have time to come out of it completely.
Vixter is pushing an ink pen around on the floor while growling. I wonder what she is thinking?
Ours was leaking by the water meter -- we only knew it because the grass was really really green right there.

I'll check outside tomorrow, but inside it's totally dry. I have used a lot of water lately on various projects. Maybe that's it, who knows
They still can't be together without growling and spitting. And there's some random yowling for no apparent reason.

Cilla, I recommend you turn off your main water in and then go look at your water meter. If it isn't moving, you're safe. If not, you may have a repair to do. We got a similar notice a long time ago at our old house and it turned out to just be a fluke. That said, when we were getting ready to buy this house, I noticed that the water meter was running even when nothing was supposedly on in the house. I had the previous owners pay to have a plumber come and he found a very slow leak in one of the toilets. But if you turn off your water main and check your meter, you'll know for sure right away.
The kittens have finally quieted down. Maybe I can get some sleep tonight.
