Maybe I'm a prude, but I cannot imagine someone opening up a shower and asking a complete stranger to share
Has anyone else read the other Charlaine Harris series of books? The Aurora Teagarden series. No vampires in any of that series
good sunday all
Good morning. It's a lovely day. We are supposed to get California's rain tomorrow.
And the word of the day is: ORTHOEPY!
DR Jose when I click on that link with what you were given from the bakery I get an error message. I am dying to know what you got.
DR elmore - I hope you have another great time with the Where's Charley? crew. -I actually ended up assisting Jill Paice yesterday with some audition prep. Boy, do I love listening to her sing.
DR MBarnum - Were any of the cops last night cute? or at least nearing retirement age?
Yesterday DR Vixmom wrote:QuoteMaybe I'm a prude, but I cannot imagine someone opening up a shower and asking a complete stranger to share
Well these women prance around naked, so I guess they don't care.
Whew!
The best card trick ever!

elmore - Any chance this could have a life beyond Encores?
Which reminds me that I really must remember to sign up for one of those police ride-a-longs.
and now JRand has mooned us as well!

DR Jennifer - This is what Maury gave me:
I have ignored WHERE'S CHARLEY because of Mr Ray Bolger - who is NOT my favorite performer in ANYTHING.
Is that a famous line from something - 850 channels and nothing's on TV.
I am afraid I did not get a picture last night -- will the moon still be super today?
I am leaving soon to attend a matinee performance, and then I will be going to the memorial service for Marcus Walker. I probably won't be back until this evening.
The staff at City Bakery tweeted me earlier in the week to tell me that Maury, the owner, had something special for me. Well, I finally stopped in yesterday, and THIS is what he had for me8)
Raining here in the City of Studio. The Singer and I wanted to go out and celebrate, but she had to take her mum home and by the time that was done it was just too late - so, we may go celebrate today at some point.

She's got a lovely soprano. And she ain't bad to look at either.

And she has quite a good mix too. -And her boyfriend ain't bad to look at either. ;)
DRs vixmom and TCB - the "WITH OR WITHOUT" refers to one of their housemade Marshmallows. -Which is sometimes referred to as just a "Marsh" in City Bakery lingo.

Thanks! Who knows what will happen now.
I received this in an email from my tax accountant. It just seemed like HHW humor:
Yesterday I had an appointment to see my urologist
for a Prostate exam.
Of course I was a bit on edge because all my friends have either gone under the knife or had those pellets implanted.
The waiting room was filled with patients.
As I approached the receptionist's desk, I noticed that the receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler.
I gave her my name.
In a very loud voice, the receptionist said,
"YES, SHE SAID, I HAVE YOUR NAME HERE; YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?"
All the patients in the waiting room snapped their heads around to look at me, a now very embarrassed man. But as usual,
I recovered quickly, and in an equally loud voice replied, "NO, I'VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION.
BUT I DON'T WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS."
The room erupted in applause!
DON'T MESS WITH OLD RETIRED GUYS!!!

Oh, well, Michigan's out, but Duke had to fight for it all the way to the final buzzer.

My condolences...
I understand Ginny, it's the Tourney. I turned on the game when Michigan was down 12 points and couldn't keep watching
I love that song. Amazing how dated that is in terms of the number of channels now available. And there's still nothing on.Is that a famous line from something - 850 channels and nothing's on TV.
57 Channels and there's nothing on....Bruce Springsteenhttp://www.brucespringsteen.net/songs/57Channels.html (http://www.brucespringsteen.net/songs/57Channels.html)
I am anxiously awaiting the rain. In a good way.Me, too.

Their comeback was pretty spectacular.
Now I'm hooked on AMERICA'S NEXT GREAT RESTAURANT. The grilled cheese guy is from Cincinnati.

All my nonprofit friends who work in the arts speak of her with pride and I found her graduation date on Wikepedia.
I had nightmares about work last night so I went to the office this morning and started cleaning and organizing my office. I did a little work, but mostly just got the place organized. The end of the week got a little crazy and I needed to regroup. Should make tomorrow a lot more fun
The party was great with an amazing spread of hors d'oeuvres. As for the show, we went out on a high. Jack Viertel said at the party that he and Jo Loesser will be meeting about getting a recording of the score. I hope it happens. I had a great time watching the show from backstage and chatting with Jill Paice, Joshie, Rebecca Luker, and Lauren Worsham, who's adorable as Amy. After I helped Joshie take the orchestra parts off the stands, we went to the party and got there before the cast. A crazy woman carrying a striped bag came up to me and asked, "Are you Howard McGillin?" I said, "I wish!" but I told Howard that I said, "He's much older."Meow.

Just got a very nice e-mail from someone who read There's Mel, There's Woody and There's You - he found the book by accident while searching for his 1000th book on amazon - I guess he'd been searching for something that had 1970s stuff in it and my book came up, he checked out the "peek inside the book" function and bought it. I like that someone who really knew nothing about me or even who I was, would take a chance and, even better, enjoy the book and take inspiration from it, which is what he wrote.

That is terrific, BK! To know you is to love you.

Oh I could be doing a lot of work around the house, just not doing it
I'm thinking about eating something. I made baked chicken and cheesy hand mashed potatoes for dinner...but that was a long time ago

Boil pototes, use the hand potato masher instead of a mixer, mash in cheese, a little milk and a little sour cream. Add salt and pepper. Yummy
Sorry about your friend TCBYes, very sorry for your loss.
Vibes and hugs to dear TCB.
And as to the quote under your post, TCB - my mom has been known to say "I always party with the upper set. Sometimes I forget and leave the lower set home in a glass."
I have heard very good reviews of THE LINCOLN LAWYER from criminal defense lawyers.I loved the Michael Connelly book (well, I love almost his books). I'm reading "The Refusal," another one in the series with Mickey Halloran, right now. Can't wait to see the movie.
Cilla - re the quote under your post - "Coherent" was the word I messed up on in the 8th grade school-wide spelling bee finals. :)Mine was "embarrass," which was, well, an embarrassment.
Wow. That's a new system, Vixmom. I wonder how long before it makes it out west. My local store just got the self-scan checkout system a few months ago.
