Keeping my fingers crossed for Kickstarter being a success.
And the word of the day is: APODICTIC!
TOD: Comedy? I hear Michelle Bachman is pretty funny.
CD ordered.
DR DRUXY I forgot to tell you I ordered your new book. Looking forward to it.
TOD:Most of the time, I would agree. "The Invention of Lying" is an exception.
Correction:
Ricky Gervais is hilarious.
Some day we should discuss unfunny comedians. Like Jim Carey.
1776 was the first broadway show i ever saw
DR JOSE drink lots of liquids for your 2-show day!
What number in the show has been getting the best response? What line always kills?
We're on Long Island and I have new glasses. They are great and I'm very happy with them.
I told the waiter I was diabetic and couldn't have the dessert, which was included in the three-course meal. The chef came out, asked about various items on the menu and I ended up with a meal that had no potatoes, polenta or flour, all of which were part of the regular meal. And instead of dessert, a local cheese platter with five excellent cheeses from Texas.
I can't tell you how good that treatment made me feel.

I am not MBarnum, but I feel uniquely qualified to answer. :)
Blanche managed to escape the dog run yesterday while I was gone to a gig. Zach luckily noticed right away and he and Gabe corraled her. She really is a little troublemaker at times. We then realized we don't have current address/phone name tags for either of the dogs, so I'll make those today at Freddy's.

Jon Cypher, who played Thomas Jefferson in the 1776 national company, used to be my marriage counselor. The last time i saw him was in the extras on the Rodgers and Hammerstein Cinderella DVD with Julie Andrews. But I can't remember if he said what was up with him. I think he was just happy to be invited back for the reminiscing.
My first wife and I were going to a counselor and, at one session, the therapist asked if he could bring in an intern.
That intern was Jon Cypher, who I had actually met 3-4 months before through Howard Keel.
I guess he was going back to school just in case his acting career petered out.
Whether he ever got his counseling certificate, I don't know, because a few months later, he was playing "Peron" in EVITA at the Shubert...and then his film/TV career really took off with HILL STREET BLUES and lots of other stuff.
He also did a very good western with Burt Lancaster, VALDEZ IS COMING.
Anybody know what Jon is doing these days?
Everything went well with the test. I am off to take a nap.Great news. And I'm off to a nap, too.
Thanks, DR Jane. I haven't decided if I'm going to Lima tomorrow. Mary Linda is here and she and Rob are with friends in Cincinnati this evening. Tomorrow may be my only chance to visit with her, so I'll probably stay home to do just that.

Larry,
I saw the same production. At the Schubert.
Jane, look at their registry and see if you can order something off of Amazon.
Thw Shubert was the theatre in Cincinnati where 1776 played, and I believe that is where DR Charles Pogue saw it. Perhaps we were at the same performance.
I am back from a lovely visit, dish, and dine session with Mr Bruce Pomahac. Reputations are shattered, careers ruined, andmorales boosted. I will take my meds nd watch THE DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET.
Why can't I increase the font size and change the color of that post?
I guess the <move> tag needs to be on the outside, eh? Nice of this site to come with instructions. ;)

Sorry. Didn't know Cincinnati had a Shubert.
Just watched a little Holocaust drama entitled THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS in preparation for a review tomorrow.
Vibes, Jose, for the two shows manana. That's a heavy weekend schedule. How many shows a week?

That movie kind of destroyed me. I don't think I've ever sat in a quieter movie theater while the closing credits were rolling.
