Dentist yesterday.

Dentist today.

Michigan Friday to Sunday.

Oatmeal with a small banana and raisins, cinnamon and coffee with rice milk instead of real milk.

It's supposed to be hot again. Ugh!!!

Good morning, all! I couldn't get to sleep last night so I was up until midnight. This morning I couldn't sleep so I dragged myself out of bed at 6 am. Luckily, it won't be a long day at the McGlinnventory, so I may get a nap this afternoon.

The good news this morning is that thethree cartons of scores and orchestra parts have now arrived in Dublin, They should be delivered to the Dublin producers' offices today. That's a great weight off my back.

This morning, I have a trip to the McGlinnventory at Park and 23rd Street. Following that, since I'm loaded down with music, I may taxi home. Hopefully, the check I'm expecting will arrvie today, and I can deal with that later in the afternoon.

DR vixmom, I'm sorry you've been feeling out of sorts! I'm late with the vibes and I apologize for that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes of peace and harmony to Our DR vixmom! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received a email with a code for discounted  Follies tickets but apparently the code only applies to the far sides of the orchestra and way back of the mezzanine
I really wanted to take the Vixter to see the show but cannot spring for $135  + tickets   especially with college books to buy...
Do any of our New York experts  know whether the sides and rear mezzanine still provide a decent view at the Marquis?
Even the cheap seats will run me 180 a pair and I hate to spend that kind of money if I can't see the stage
If you have some flexibility with your dates, check a couple of them out, and see how close in you get in on the sides in the orchestra section. Otherwise, the mezzanine seats aren't too bad overall.
I am home while waiting for Edith's husband to finish doing the servince on my AC.  I think he's almost done.  Since I put the furnace and the central air unit in new 4 years ago, I decided to get the service contract and keep it in good shape.
I'm really amazed at the fact that he totally freaks Ricky out.  I'm wondering if Ricky's first home had some sort of repair man or tech who lived there.  I've never seen him be freaked out by a person, male or female before this.
Chris works for a company that has way too much work for the number of employees.  He told me they are still working on their April service agreements!   I think mine would have been for May or June.  The flood put them behind because of the number of people who wanted their furnaces removed as a preventative measure.
Speaking of flooding, it's still really bad.  They are slowly reducing the output from the dam upstream.  I couldn't believe the amount of water still standing around Omaha.  The entire immigration court building is fortified with sandbags, cement walls etc, it's really strange to see because the river didn't get that high.  We also saw homes surrounded by water etc.   Remember, this started shortly after memorial day
My question for ASK BK day.....what does the screen credit Process Photography mean?
I always see it on old Paramount films Process Photography by Farciot Edouart.
I know what it is....BUT does that credit mean the person photographed what is projected on the process screen....or that person photographed the actors doing the scene in front of the process screen?
*checking IMDB*
Hmmmmmmmmmmm....IMDB says she was a stylist on THE CRUSADES so she was at Paramount in the late 30's, so she may have pulled on Frances' hair.....
She definitely did THE PARTY CRASHERS in 1958
At this very moment I am listening to 1970s Pakistani pop singer Mohammad Ali Sheihki singing, in Urdu, the Italian pop classic (made famous in one of JRand60's favorite films) AL DI LA.
This version is titled Alwida Mera Jaan.
You can hear his version right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnmnNi6GF2I (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnmnNi6GF2I)
Cilla, congratulations on your legal victory yesterday.
I second that. Imagine being sent away to a country you hardly even know. That would be horrible.
I don't know the circumstances of her situation, but I tend to like to look at stuff from the humanitarian side of things, whenever possible.
Fifteen minutes is NOT enough time for cake.
It is if you don't make your first appearance until Act II.
Wow she worked until her mid-seventies as a hair stylist supervisor.....I know I saw her name every week on BONANZA.
So she handled Pernell Roberts and Michael Landon's rugs.
She would have been in a very bad way if she had to go back.  I'm very happy for her.   She asked if I like tamales, so hopefully there will be homemade tamales in my future.  No one has brough me fresh tamales in a long time and the client who made me ceviche all the time got deported
Normally(?), we are under the stage, dead center. For this show, we are on a platform that has been placed on part of the seating area. I'll try to post a pic later.
Here are some backstage pics from OKLAHOMA! (http://www.playbill.com/news/article/153333-PHOTO-EXCLUSIVE-Behind-the-Scenes-at-Arena-Stages-Hit-Oklahoma-With-Nehal-Joshi-and-Aaron-Ramey)
OKLAHOMA! was the 2nd stage play I ever saw.
The first was HARVEY with Joe E. Brown.  I was 5-years-old.  The year was 1946.
The road company of OKLAHOMA! came to the (long gone) Metropolitan Theater in Seattle in either the late 1940s or very early 1950s.  Don't remember which.  Unfortunately, I don't recall who was in that production.
