Well, you've read the notes, the notes were jet-lagged and had haze and fog, and now it is time for you to post until the dazed cows come home.

And the word of the day is: RUNIC!

Good morning, all! I slept in this morning until 9am. At 1, Joe Csibi is picking me up for lunch and our walk to Walton's, an itenerary I totally screwed up yestertday and got myself lost for around 30 minutes.
Today, I have to give our leading man a pep talk about being a leading man: he's a beautiful singer who produces bbeautiful tones, but he lacks stage presence; our Eileen does a bit, too. The performance state of the art in Ireland for serious singers is not great, so many go to London, where they can hopefully get picked up by the English National Opera or other companies thaty don't pay well. Our singewr playing the lead told me that his last job in London was singing MESSIAH in an enormous hoiuse and his pay was 10 comp tickets! He deserves so much more.
I will also work with the two actors playing my villains, and meet the last two singers to the table: Andrew Ashwin (Shaun Dhu, smuggler & patriot) and John Corbett (Sir Reginnald Stribling of London), a silly ass Brit. There are three representatives in the show of British behavior toward Ireland and I think we've cast them well:
Lady Maude, the sympathizer
Sir Reggie, the apathetic
Colonel Lester, brute force
That's my day.
DR Laura, if they want to hear about the good old days from you, they'd want to know about dinosaurs from our DR TCB and life in caves from me!
DR Jose, my ticket was paid fro by the funding in Philadelphia so I will be notified if I'm coming back early. The original recording schedule was Tuesday through Friday, so I'm scheduled to return on Saturday. We're now recording from Monday to Wednesday, so I may have a ticket change to return on Thursday or Friday. The cost of changign the flight will certainly be less than paying for two more nights in this amazing hotel.
Joe Csibi told me last night that his company asked the Philadelphian producer if I could stay in Ireland and they got a response that I was a National Treasure and must return to America. I may retitle my memoirs 'Life on a Pedestal.' It's easier being a schlep, believe me.

Morning all.
We are going to Long Island for the weekend.
That is all.
-
I know it's 7:30am in New York, but it's 12:30pm in Dublin, and I am about to head to the lobby and wait for Joe to show up. I'm dealing with schedulingt glitches for my two actors for the next four days. Keep them vibes coming!

Good morning, all.

Vibes for Elmore and all in need, including Michael S. and TCB.

Spent the last hour or so catching up on all the postings
-
Glad to hear Elmoore is having a great time in Dublin and things are going well
-
Many, many, many (and maybe more) postings ago DR Jose mentioned "REMY ZAKEN".
I am wondering how many people other the BK, Jose and myself even know who Remy Zaken is?
But she must by a beautiful young lady by now.

I thought Kritzerland was distributing Jeepers Creepers, but could not find it. An new copy of the cd is going for as much as $143.66 at Amazon

Friday morning greetings! I must have been really tired last night because, apparently, I forgot to log out before going to bed. Sorry!
Anyway, our afternoon in Cincinnati was very interesting. We first found Rob's work location and then did drive-throughs of 7 or 8 apartment complexes. He took photos and notes to share with Mary Linda and we got home just in time for me to jump from Richard's car to mine to meet my girlfriends for dinner and the 7pm showing of THE HELP.

Any photos of Larry's hotel?

It's a dusty desert day-- as opposed to a dusty delta day.

OTOH, we just spent days explaining to a major PR firm, one who really should know better, how we have reviewers assigned to specific studios. This whole brouhaha started because a Lionsgate title got shipped to the wrong reviewer (it should have come to me). We spent days trying to straighten it out, sending the firm a list of every reviewer and the appropriate studio assignments. Punchline: the PR rep then sends me an email asking who handles Lionsgate.

CD: Incognito Live in London. This is one fantastic band, I tells ya.
BD: The Bang Bang Club which I must review ASAP. For any interested parties, blu-ray.com is currently sponsoring a giveaway of 10 copies of this title. See home page for details.
DVD: just ordered some new Warner Archive titles, including YOUNG WINSTON, which I've wanted on DVD for years.

Tomorrow is the big Mt. Park Community Garage Sale. I am quite happy as I have already presold several hundred dollars worth of shtuff. But we have tons of stuff to get ready and price for tomorrow. Last year we had people waiting outside the garage door at 6 a.m. for us to "get going."
-
There is a community BBQ tomorrow at the club house after the sale, which we'll go to. Then Sunday we're off to the coast for a little jaunt, a mini-vacation we're squeezing in before Zach's big day on September 3.
-
Happy Friday to all! Keep up your spirits. Vibes to all who need them!

Yesterday, Jane
pestered queried:
What was the book you got him that he has to wait to read?
Answer: “Blood Rites” the sixth in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series (No 13 is now on the best seller list).
A few weeks back, when I had both Lads (alone) at my mercy, I decided we would spend some time reading something new. I brought over a collection of books from which Alex could select:: Book One of The Dresden Files (Warlocks and Magic), Crichton’s Timeline (Time travel to a castle under siege in medieval France), Carr’s “The Alienist” (Searching for a serial killer in 1896 NYC), Finney”s “Time and Again” (time travel to 1892 NYC for adventures) – all the books either have sequels or have similar works by the same author – Experience tells me that if Alex buys into one work, , he’ll buy into other’s by the same the Author. He picked The Harry Dresden, and stayed up all night to finish it! So, now ere on a 13 volume reading adventure.
I got William to start on Volume One of The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod (teen age vampire).
Alex has an MTV-bred impatience with reading; he wouldn't finish 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea because it was boring. Also, he wont touch any book if he's seen (or might see) the movie!

Hmmmm...
I just checked the progress reports for the America's 911 Foundation Memorial Ride (http://wtop.com/?nid=654&sid=2499718), and it looks like I really should head into DC sooner rather than later. I think. In any case, I'm going to go ahead and get ready to head out of the house, and then proceed from there.

Back from another good rehearsal. Actor Karl Harpur joined us to play the two villains and we also got to work with Andrew Ashwin, who is - to everyone's surprise - a Brit, not an Irishman - and Joe Corbett, both wonderful performers. Joe will be very funny as Sir Reggie, silly ass Brit twit, and tall, lanky Andrew has a beautiful baritone that he does not get to show off much in the piece; his role is mostly a spoken one.
Tomorrow, the orchestra joins us. So far, so good.

And Happy Birthday to the late Gene Roddenberry (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0734472/). If he were still alive, he'd be 90 years old.

Did Alex watch TIMELINE instead of reading it? If I recall it stayed pretty close to the book. I haven't read The Dresden Files.
The boys are lucky to have you to keep them reading.

Home for a bit before heading out to Performance #6 of Camelot.

Did the four-mile jog and shall now go and pick up mail.

Off to Camelot.
Keep the home fries burning.

Just returned from the gym. It feels strange to say that. Before joining I made sure there were a couple of available exercises for me to do. One was in a room I couldn't enter as a class was going on & the other needed the bar switched out. The bar I wanted was at the top of the machine where my arms can't reach up far enough to get it. It was on the floor when I had my tour of the equipment.
I walked on the tread mill, at a fast clip, just over 3 miles after having hiked Sherlock for 30 minutes.
-
Off to Camelot.
Have fun.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I'll say it:
WHAT?? Only on page 2??
-
Jane, I hope you find that you enjoy the gym and can do plenty there. I've often had a similar experience--limited by various injuries.
-
Very nice review, Bruce. What are Melody's plans for the near future, aside from the Gardenia?
-
Today I picked up my new custom-made insoles. They feel very strange and I'll need a little time to adjust. They also feel completely different from my ready-mades. I'm hoping I'll be able to take longer walks--and do so comfortably.
-
Great review

Continued recording vibes to Larry!
Continued recovery vibes to Micheal S!

Can someone remind how to post a picture from my computer?
Click on the "Reply" link (or "quote," if that's what you want) and then click "Additional Options..." There will be a box to "Attach" your picture from your computer. You can attach up to four pictures at once.
HOWEVER, you can't preview your post with pictures attached. You can preview what you type until you attach pictures, then you can post.

Jane, I hope you find that you enjoy the gym and can do plenty there. I've often had a similar experience--limited by various injuries.
It is why I have resisted joining a gym, plus we have equipment I like better in our garage. For the few minutes, & at the low weights I can use, it seemed not only a waste of money but embarrassing to use the gym. The problem is Keith wants me to get rid of the large set in the garage & puts his lawn stuff all over it so I can't use it anyway. Since I also plan to use the pool at the Y I broke down & joined the gym. Now I probably have to pay someone to take apart the garage set & haul it away.

Are they orthotics or simply extra comfy insoles?

I'm thinking of changing my photo any opinions?

If you're getting rid of it, list it on Craig's List and the buyer will take it away for you!
-
The buyer would have to be an expert on dismantling & reassembling it. It is vary large with 4 sides of different equipment. We've had it about 17 years in 3 different homes.
-
DR Michael S did you hold the camera up & take your own photo? It has that close-up look to it ;) Glasses & very short hair, you have changed ;) I think the photo would work nicely as your avatar. :)

Do you just want to get rid of it or do you want to make money? If you just want to get rid of it, list it as free, but that the buyer must remove it. I'd think that you'd get some interest.

Good Evening!
Greetings from the Fichlander Stage!
-
As for the forecasted "traffic nightmare", there was none to be had. :)
-
As for my dinner earlier tonight, it was very good. I also learned that a scoop of gelato served by itself at Graffiato is about three times the size of a scoop of gelato when it accompanies the chocolate tart. Of course, that really didn't deter me from eating both scoops: one of pistachio, one of watermelon(!).

I'm thinking of changing my photo any opinions?
Change is good, DR Michael S.

I would donate for resale if I could. I'm guessing I can't but I will double check. I haven't made any calls yet. I am concerned someone would get injured removing it & we would be responsible since it is on our property.

After the ER visit on Monday, I was told to stay off of my feet, keep my leg elevated, keep heat on the wound, and check in with my regular doctor on Wednesday.
The one thing I have always liked about my relationship with my doctor is that there is never any BS on either side. If there is something wrong, he will let me know it. After he unwrapped my leg, there was a very long pause on his part before he said, "This is really bad, Tom, really bad." He didn't pull any punches. Where the previous outbreaks have been about the size of a half dollar, this time it was from just below the knee down to just above my ankle. My calf was four times the size of my left calf. He said that he wasn't sure that we could treat the MRSA without surgery to remove all of the "junk."
Finally we decided to try the Infectious Disease Center in town. So for the last two days I have gone down to their office, saw a doctor that I was not exactly thrilled with, and then sent to the other side of the clinic to have an IV of mega antibiotics. I get to go back again both Saturday and Sunday, but just for the IV - no doctor chat. Monday is my day to rest, and then I get to go back and see my favorite new doctor on Tuesday. Hopefully she will give me a reason to celebrate my birthday.
-
Wow. I type slow. There was no one else here when I started my previous post, and now it is a full house.

Had a nice meeting with Joan and Vicky. Then the horror part of the day began. I got a call from paypal debit card services - these come from time to time - asking me to verify the last five transactions. It's a pain, but usually only takes about two minutes with all the voice prompts. The first charge was for $1.08 from a video rental place in Illinois. I said no not me and I was connected with a fraud expert. We went over the next few charges, which included two from a Walmart in Colorodo. They'd already refused two other Walmart charges made after those. The card was immediately shut down and I ordered a new card with new number. Meanwhile, I was out the $240 that someone had managed to have authorized. But I spoke to paypal and they said that once the authorizations went through I would then get an e-mail that I'd respond to and then the money would get back to me in three or four days. They suggested I call the Walmart and try to get them to not process the two charges. That I did - but because they were made today, they don't actually show up until tomorrow - so I'll be up bright and early at six to call them and suggest that they not put them through. Paypal has been wonderful about it all - very calming - and in fact they have already returned the money to my account, although if the charges go through then it will be debited again and we'll have to do the paperwork and it will be back in a few days.
This is a first for me and just makes me hate the people who do this sort of thing all the more. I basically wish them death in the most painful way possible for all the grief they cause people. And I truly believe they will get the karma they deserve.
-
Now, get me off this damn page.
-
I shall now be on my way to the Gardenia.
-
Page four!

Better?

I'm glad you went t the Infectious Disease Center & they are trying something that might make a difference with this chronic/serious problem of yours.
I had to deal with an Infectious Disease doctor once-no bed-side manner at all but he knew what he was doing.
I'm confused who your favorite new doctor is.

And to add insult to injury. My doctor tells me I NEED to go to the clinic, I go to the clinic, I fill out all the paperwork, I see the doctor, and when I come out to wait for my IV; I get cornered by a lady from the business office. She showed me what the total was for the treatiments, told me that my insurance would pay 85%, and then showed me two figures for the differences - one of I had the treatments done at the office, or the other was if I wanted to do them myself at home.. I decided it would be wise to have them done in the office. That is when she informed me that my share was due now.

Digging through mountainous piles of crap (technical term) in preparation for this huge garage sale tomorrow, I found two completely odd things that I have not a clew as to how I procured them:
1. A signed artist agreement between Signe Hasso and whomever must have been her agent at one point. This has all pertinent info about Ms. Hasso on it, including her SSN!!!! If she had a PayPal debit card, I'd be home free. :)
2. A pretty nice one sheet from some movie called MOONFLEET with Stewart Granger.
These are such odd items and I am truly at a loss as to how they ended up here.
