Are you using Internet Explorer 8? If so, you should just need Windows Media Player. If you're using Firefox it does say you need QuickTime. Even though it's an Apple product it works on a PC but I wouldn't bother downloading it. It's a pain in the ass (excuse my French) to download, set up and use (my humble opinion, if you like QuickTime fine, but I don't). It contributes to crashes on my system. I've stopped using it. I don't know why Firefox would try to use Quicktime to play a file.
If you use the Chrome browser the music will play automatically without any add-ons.

I really like that!
And the word of the day is: PLEONASM!
I did not watch the Emmy Awards last night.
The best moment was the supporting actress in a comedy series presentation! That was hysterical! ;D
Greetings from Omaha! I'm waiting to get on a plane to St Louis so I can argue at the 8th Circuit in the morning. I will confess I have no idea why they want to hear from me on this issue, but they're paying for me to go, spend the night and talk for 5-10 minutes so I'll go.
My flight is only an hour. After which I will settle into my hotel, then take a brief walk to the arch and the Lewis and Clark Westward Expansion Museum (or whatever they call it). I haven't decided if I'm going up in the arch yet, but I'll definitely go to the museum. After that, I'm going to treat myself to a nice dinner and get ready for my argument tomorrow. I have some additional research to do, but I'm not sure it's going to get me anywhere. The thing I don't like about appellate arguments is they don't give you any advanced warning about what they are interested in knowing about. So, you sometimes get taken by surprise. I really don't think that's going to happen here

What a great day so far! I've hopefully solved the router problems with the copiers and computer ar Toyland for Curtis to finish correcting, I've had a good meeting with DJ about the Appalachian Christmas project, and we know what needs to be rewritten and rearranged and who we can keep from the workshop and who needs to be recast. Between emails, the best site on the internet - HHW! - and Facebook, I'm walowing in birthday good will from lots of friends and acquaintances, so I have absolutely no. Complaints. Today. At. All.
A big thank you since my earlier one to DRS

Did you know that "pogue" is an Irish term for "kiss?" There a couplet "Give us a pogue then, you sly little rogue, then" in the Opening to Act Two of EILEEN.
I love you all! You love us all? (a BOY FRIEND reference)

Good morning, all! Yep, 65 years ago, I was born around 4:30am EST. I remember nothing about it; my first memories are from the age of two.
Yesterday, I had a very giod phone conversation with the Man From Philadelphia that cleared the air and made me quite happy. I can plan my trip to the Library of Congress, now that I know all is good.
I have very few plans today: a Toyland attempt to find the computer routing problem so Curtis can get things righted, a meeting about the Appalachian Christmas project, and a day to myself. My official birthday gathering is postponed to Wednesday night, so this will be a quiet day.
BK, I cannot believe you've never read ACT ONE! It was one of my favorite bios in high school and college, during which times I must have read it three or four times. In 1985, when I was working on JUBILEE, I read it again. It's filled with half-truths, but probably with no more than any other autobiography, but it's well writtyen with a fantastic, affectionate portrait of George S Kaufman. I think it's still one of the best theatre bographies ever written.

What a lovely sentiment, Arnold.
Hurray. Fifth season of THE LUCY SHOW released on December 6, 2011!!!
The cat/house sitter is very pleased to be visiting with the cats again. I really don't know what I'd do without her.
OMG - of course
There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You!
How could I forget?
DR elmore,

I did hope that Johnny Galecki would win for THE BIG BANG THEORY
New guy.
I've been pre-approved by his son and daughter.
And the household cat. She likes to sit on my lap. I fell asleep in the recliner while watching a move, once the blanket and cat and I were warm and toasty, I just feel asleep. Embarrassing but really comfortable and easy.
And now the snubs already...Emmys Snub Jeff Conaway—Taxi Star Missing From In Memoriam Segment. Who else was left off?

Norma had one blue and one brown eye....according to Ray Stricklyn her costar in RETURN OF DRACULA....which took some time for him to get used to.

TOD: I can't believe no one has included Song of Norway on their best biopic list. ;D
Since I'm guest of the day...see above....I was upgraded, given free breakfast, access to the concierge room with free appetizers, given a late check-out and ....I guess that's it. Pretty cool
I must say I burst out laughing when I saw that sign. That sort of thing doesn't happen to me. LOL
Bio-dreck is more like it!TOD: I can't believe no one has included Song of Norway on their best biopic list. ;D
It's a toss up between that and THE GREAT WALTZ remake!
I'm also eating the best toffee I've ever had....YUM....then there was the pecan divinity...yum....I tried to put the peanut brittle back, but just couldn't leave the store without it. I have managed not to eat any of it and will wait until I get home for that
BTW, has anyone here watched SHERLOCK, the (relatively) new Sherlock Holmes series, which I think is from the BBC? It's VERY contemporary, but I found it quite clever and fun.
MEGA BIRTHDAY WISHES TO DR ELMORE!!
Glad you're having such a nice day.

Wow, Marion was an incredible woman!
I received my Space Children/Colossus of New York cd today and will listen to it soon.....the liner notes are not enjoyable the way the Kritzerland Notes are....... Not that they are not complete and informative.....but they seem to have no point of view....it's like reading the Wikipedia Page for the movies.
I am quite enamored with The Arch. It is beautiful and I can't believe I was inside of it. Its look changes everytime the light hits it differently
In honor of your birthday I had a nice day. First I splurged on hot chocolate while Keith & Penny enjoyed their coffee. The four of us, Sherlock included of course, went for a short hike. Penny then continued down I-5 to spend the night with her nephew. After dropping Sherlock off back home I had an exceptionally good work out at the gym.
I've booked my DC trip for Oct 3-5; nothing available next week. Them's the breaks.

Don't get lost DR JOSE
Thank you. I miss the liner notes from the George B. Dales of yesteryear with their plot summaries and a jot or tittle of commentary, but I love reading the notes of someone who has thought about the show and knows how to express it. Peter Filichia describing the times he saw "Prettybelle"; your take on the London "Camelot," among so many others.I received my Space Children/Colossus of New York cd today and will listen to it soon.....the liner notes are not enjoyable the way the Kritzerland Notes are....... Not that they are not complete and informative.....but they seem to have no point of view....it's like reading the Wikipedia Page for the movies.
But those are the kind of notes that the FANactics crave. You'd be shocked how many times people have ragged on my notes, but I will never ever change the way I write them because point of view is everything. I don't ever need to do a track by track analysis where someone tells you what you're listening to - "The floaty flutes enter on bar two, and on bar six there is an ostinato in the double basses while the tuba makes itself known."
You don't really see adaptations of movies that kept their real title until stuff like The Goodbye Girl and that era. Needless to say, Promises, Promises was not called The Apartment - today, however, it would be. Off to the couch to sit like so much fish. I had a bacon cheeseburger for dinner - first food eaten all day - at six-thirty.
~~~~~FOUND CHECKBOOK VIBES TO DR CILLALIZ~~~~~
The box will officially be opened on You Tube on November 5th, I believe. But I may give folks here a sneak peek at one episode if I can figure out how to do it.
