In a little more than 24 hours Zach will be on his way to China. Pray for the Chinese.
No new Filichia on FridayI noticed that, too. Bummer.
eBay literally just changed everything in between a bid and a win 5 seconds ago.Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
So, Chas, we will recognize you from your thumbnail picture, correct? You haven't gone Hollywood on us and grown your hair back, have you? ;)

New fridge/freezer arrived and is working well :)
Perhaps I will have a good sandwich today.
I love a good sandwich.
TCB, in the hilarious clip of Tony winning women that some posted yesterday, there was a reminder that one doesn't have to sing to win a Tony for best actor/actress. Makarova won for "On Your Toes" and has no singing part.
Duly noted. And I hope you never have to do either. So, is anyone going to see "Rock of Ages" the movie?
I would rather eat fresh vomit while having a colonoscopy (without anesthesia) performed by a leper who leaves with 4 fingers.

I don't know. I was in college when that all that hair parading as music was popular and I'm not sure if Ben isn't on the side of right on this matter. So, is anyone going to see "Rock of Ages" the movie?

I think I'd rather see the movie (if I had to make a choice...)

And the word of the day is: IMPONDERABLE!

Will there be name tags? (Just kidding.)
And I am home.
and I have good news. Remember all those request for office vibes? Here's the story: Toyland is closing and the institute is moving the work to another office in another city; I've been the only employee left on payroll and call, although all I've done for the past year is check in about once aweek to insure there are no breakins or problems, and use the office when I've needed a workspace outside my home. I've not submitted an invoice to the institute since March 2011, but I'm working with another foundation, and I have no complaints. So, knowing the lease expires on July 31, I thought, what if I could get the office for my team to use for music copying, theatre restoration, and other jobs?
The lease is now signed and I am staying there. Toyland will move out and the New Princess Theatre Company will move in. I'm hoping we can purchase some of the office furniture and equipment from the Institute, and that's still in the air. I can't imagine they'd want to hold onto it, since all they really need are our computer files. So, thank you all for the positive vibes.

I hope there is a typo in this paragraph:
BroadwayWorld.com has learned that casting is now under way for a 29-hour reading of ANASTASIA - A New Musical, based on the hit 1997 animated motion picture from Fox Animation Studios. The musical, which is in its Early Stages of development will feature the five songs from the film along with fifteen new songs written for the stage.

I walked two miles so far today. I went down to Academy Records and looked around - bought three cheap CDs I didn't have, including a Spanish import of the RCA album Jack the Ripper with music by Pete Rugolo. Sadly, Skyline Books, which was directly across the street, is no more. Are there any bookshops left?
So, is anyone going to see "Rock of Ages" the movie?
I want to see it...just to see it.

The story said Angela Lansbury was taking part. And that 15 additional songs had been written to supplement the film score.I hope there is a typo in this paragraph:

Maybe Liz Callaway will do the singing voice of Anastasia like she did in the movie?
Kelsley Grammar, Bernadette Petters recreating their roles?

Wow, the last time I attended a 29 hour reading of a musical was for Shoah!;D

I have no video plans tonight, Saturday or Sunday. I'll be seeing some strange man from California, live and in person, tonight.
A colleague is taking me out for lunch this afternoon to celebrate my recent nuptials.

Adelaide and I had a wonderful time at the signing, which, as anyone would have predicted, we couldn't stay for the whole of. Great to see so many of the old gang, and the store staff amazingly nice.
Someday, when I remind Adelaide she met a great record producer when she was six months old, I know just what she'll say:
"What's a record?"

Now on to the new obsessive worry: Zach in China.

So glad things are going well for you as well, DR Elmore.
Break a pencil vibes for our very own BK!!!!!A double dose.
New fridge/freezer arrived and is working well :)

I think by now that BK is probably breaking a fork at Joe Allen's. Danise, did you go to Joe Allen's when you were in New York with the group?
Ditto from me.So, is anyone going to see "Rock of Ages" the movie?
It's a big "no" from me!

Yes. I've been there a couple of times. First time was with DR Elmore. He was (and is!) so nice and kind.

the new one is about 1/4 the size of the old one - and probably 4 times as efficient!
Check out the good looking Bernese Mountain Dog walking the new puppy.

I finally got my bill from the hospital. After the insurance company paid their share, I now owe the hospital almost $36,000.00. That was not a good way to start my weekend.

Zowie. Could that possibly an error?
Anybody have an idea what this flower is?
Golden lotus banana?I think we have a winner. The leaves looked like a banana, but the flower was from the ground up, not hanging down as other bananas (at least the ones I've seen) do. Thank you.
And I am home from a festive evening! It was nice to see our E&T DR Noel there with his adorable Adelaide, and i'm sorry I didn't get the chance to visit with them. The crowd for the reading was modest but cherce, and I'll let BK tell you all about that.Sounds like fun.
His reading was a great deal of fun. Guy Haines didn't show up, so BK sang "Evening Star" from 110 IN THE SHADE. Then there was a question and answer session before we were told the Book Shop would soon close and it was time to sign some books. The 100 minutes of BK's event flew by.
Then BK, myself, and DRs Ben, ChasSmith, FJL, and our E&T producerJulie went to Joe Allen for a very festive dinner and madness. it was a partay! The perfect way to end a damned good day.
