Great news about Stephen Rea. I didn't know he was a singer.
It's already in the high 80s and it's not even 7am.
It's supposed to break tomorrow.
I can't wait.
And the word of the day is: COSE!
Congrats on Stephen Rea, elmore. Does that make George Washington some kind of deux ex machina in the script?
Wednesday.
And we return to our regular performance schedule this evening for "The Curious Savage."
Four more, counting tonight.
Then it's on to my three small parts in "Thoroughly Modern Millie".....and hopefully a part in "See How They Run" which I will audition for on Sunday.

Will you be reading for the Reverend Lionel Toop?
...speaking of Allison Hayes, have you noticed Ebay has had some nifty photos of her for sale; ones that I have not seen before.
Alas, I have decided that my Allison Hayes photo collection is complete enough for now, so no bidding by the likes of me (or course some of them are out of my price range anyhow.)
This song has been running through my head all morning:
Slow down, you're movin' too fast
You gotta make the morning last
Just kickin' down the cobblestones
Lookin' for fun and
Feelin' groovy!
Hello lamp post,
Whatcha knowin?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'...
Ain'tcha got no rhymes for me?
Doo Bee Doo Doo,
Feelin' groovy!
Got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep!
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep!
Let the morningtime drop all its petals on me...
Life, I love you,
All is groovy!
I hope all of you have a "feelin' groovy" day!
Ask BK:
So, you mentioned not liking the tacked-on narration in "Body Snatchers." Do you think that there ought to be some way to see the movie without the narration? Or should that be up to the director? And what should happen, if the director has died or otherwise can't make the decision?
My question for ASK BK DAY today: Do you often get recognized as a celebrity in public?
That reminds me, I wanted to ask if Ted Chapin's "Everything Was Possible" is all one would presumably expect it to be. I picked up a beautiful hardcover copy a few years ago and literally just "discovered" it -- this very morning -- on my shelf. Is this serendipity, or what? Or just Dippity Do? In a decent world, BK's CD and this book would be the perfect way to start my Education.
And another favorite Bollywood actor has breathed his last.I saw that a few minutes ago on the Huffington Post. Sorry another great is gone.

Besides being dreamy, he was also very talented. His role in ANAND always makes me cry. And this number from ARADHANA is one of the most erotic I have ever witnessed...even though both stars are fully clothed.

I agree. I was fixated. I got it for Christmas and didn't speak to anyone for days after that until I had finished. And that was my present to everyone that year. :DThat reminds me, I wanted to ask if Ted Chapin's "Everything Was Possible" is all one would presumably expect it to be. I think it's a wonderful book. It's written with no agenda and his take on Follies and how it happened is great. It's well worth the read.

No song, big dialogue scene in the Finale Ultimo.

This is getting silly, because just sitting here thinking about this I also remembered buying the "FOLLIES: The Complete Collection" Vocal Selections. Apparently I was rarin' to go on this at some point, and now it looks like it's actually going to happen.

Hopefully, he's better than Gabriel Byrne (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230963/). ::)

Ahh. He'll be great!

I can't believe that I hadn't gotten this...until now. I just ordered it.

You've never read Ted's fantastic book? Turn in your union card.
It is pouring rain here in Chelsea!
We have thunder, heavy rain and lightning. I'm hoping the temperature has dropped a few degrees but I'm not going outside to find out.
Eine kleine Sondheim humor. It's storming here, too.

I would've thought you'd make me turn in my gay card.
;)
AND - they are doing this for FOOD!!!!! Great friends.... you can't beat that.
And the rains have come.
Fire! Hurricane! Everyone off of ze streets!Run for your lives, run for your lives - the dam has burst!Run for your lives, run for your lives - the lion's loose!!Fire! Bubonic Plague! Air Raid Warning! Hurry! Run! Run!! Run!!!!
On a more excting newsfront, I learned this morning that Stephen Rea, who starred in THE CRYING GAME, will be our General George Washington for DEAREST ENEMY.
That reminds me, I finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and it was also an excellent read. I've been overdosing on biography lately (I'm about to start Leslie Caron's autobiography) but this was great. It's a quick read but I didn't want it to end. It has little twists and turns and goes from humor to pathos on the turn of a dime. If you haven't read it, I recommend it.
Apparently the movie is having casting troubles and has not begun filming yet, according to Wikipedia.

Not a drop here.
And no power outage except those momentary ones.
So I drove the cable box the three miles or so down to Comcast to exchange it, and guess what -- closed, due to no power. That part of town looked like it had gotten hit with winds that took out a few trees and some power lines. Not a widespread area. Just the area I needed. Consoled myself with a hamburger and iced coffee and came back home.

Just be glad you aren't having the same problem.

Back from all my stuff and will now relax on the couch like so much fish - after I watch a couple of things, I'll start on the Follies piece for the Kritzerland site. Master got to the pressing plant safe and sound and they're going to have the fastest turnaround time they can. Print gets there in the morning, and if they have the stamper back by Tuesday, we could have CDs by Thursday or Friday - way early.
I think I'm in on August 19 for three days.
"Blade Runner" actor Morgan Paull dies at 67 in Ashland home
Well, it has cooled off but now it's incredibly muggy. I was hoping to keep the AC off. I'll see how it feels at bed time but right now it's terribly sticky. The temperature has dropped from 94 to 74.

Good evening. I have nothing to say. That is all.
Are you taking them for walks? No because I can't handle them anymore. Sheena pulled me down several times when I was at the hotel. They have their doggie door and they can go run in the back yard any time they please.
I know I shouldn't say this but there is an English Bulldog at the pound and I am want him so badly. I've always wanted one but never could afford one.

Don't they need a lot of work and training?
What a sky! Ours was just about as bad today. And the rains have come.

That's why I keep saying Sheena is my last big dog.

That's what I was thinking about when I came home tonight--that maybe there would be room for one more and then this happened. Oh well. :)
What the HELL is going on here? Everyone took a vacation all of a sudden? I just posted an article in the "News" section of the Kritzerland site about how Follies happened - of course, you've read the very long version here in the notes, but this is the concise version. I'll post the link when I open the new topic.
