And the word of the day is: INTERROBANG!
As for the actors matching the characters. I think you can only warm up to them if they give you a good performance. There are a few matches over the years I will never stop complaining about.

Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And I think today will be a "sugar day".
And...
It is my duty to once again report that the coffee that my hotel serves as part of their of complimentary continental breakfast is pretty damn good java!
And while I was driving by the S.F.F.D. station, I noticed that some of the firemen were polishing up their truck. And so did Monkey! In fact, Monkey wanted to lead a helping paw...

I think the actors in the Hunger Games movie are good. But it was hard at first for me to get used to the actor who played Peeta (he is quite short). He wasn't how i pictured the character. So even though he is a good actor it took me a while to warm up to him.

He was a favorite in my family's TV viewing and album listening. Catch a Falling Star. The Mancini songs. I remember one Christmas it was such a thrill when my parents gave us - not one, but a few of his albums. They all got played to death on the Sears console stereo in short order.
And Baby Grace would like to say "Good Morning" too... :)
(But who walked all over her blankie?!?)

I love Catch a Falling Star but isn't it Perry Como who made the song a big hit?
Did Andy Williams really sing Catch a Falling Star? I know Perry Como did. Are people thinking of Can't Get Used to Losing You?

In the book he is much shorter than she is? I looked up the actors and she is 5'9" while he is 5'7"

I don't think that he is shorter than her in the book. But I don't think it's mentioned. But I just feel like the actor playing the part should be taller. I would have had him in running shoes that had a platform to make him appear taller.

I read that wrong. I thought the book character was short, not the actor. I also think platform shoes might have distracting. Interesting though, not having read the book I never thought twice about his height.

They should have gotten the female co-star to walk along in a trench, like they used to do with Alan Ladd's co-stars.
Don't they still do that with Tom Cruise's co-stars? Not that I see any of his movies.

I wouldn't know that either, John!
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And I think today will be a "sugar day".
Isn't every day?
And, DR Jose, I do hope you got your debit/credit card hotel double charge taken care of.
You "only" saw the crew, not the stars?

:)

What brand? Is it Jeremiah's Pick by any chance? Or Peet's?
From DR Jose:QuoteAnd while I was driving by the S.F.F.D. station, I noticed that some of the firemen were polishing up their truck. And so did Monkey! In fact, Monkey wanted to lead a helping paw...
The thought of Monkey asking to take his photo with the fireman makes me chuckle. I would love to see some of these conversations you and Monkey have with strangers.
I'm enjoying all the photos.
Babs mingles Irish and Scottish in this one:

it was just a 2-mile walk - quite normal for me by NYC-standards.

I will say that even though Monkey is not capable of the gift of gab - Monkey has no mouth! - Monkey does seem to put others at ease when I approach them. ;)
I spent the day fighting inertia and depression by working on the apartment, moving some of the furniture around and I'll finish it this weekend.
And now...
I'm off to have dinner with yet another DR...
:)
Laters...

I thought he was quite good in the acting department. He was the character I was most worried about when I heard about the casting choices. The actor's hair is much darker (luckily the lightened it in the movie). I think he was a good actor. But probably not the right one physically for the part. Peeta is a huge favorite for those who've read the books. And he was supposed to have worked in a bakery and should be very big and strong. Definitely should not be 5'7 when the leading lady is 5'9.

Not really. She does do a Sherman Brothers medley and Richard will be there.
My condolences to the friends and family of Billy Barnes...

RIP Andy Williams
I do recall Andy Williams because I liked the song "Catch a Falling Star" when I was a kid. My grandmother had an album of his amidst the Lawrence Welk and polka albums.
