I was not too thrilled with all of "Ed Wood," either. Great parts that somehow never added up. Saw it at a midnight showing the weekend it opened. Never wanted to see it again.
Finished finessing the songs for the final episode of Outside The Box, so I can now get them to our musical director. I think they're fun.
From Facebook, a free download of the TV soundtrack of "Golden Apple."

Looking forward to listening to that later.
I know it's one of Elmore's favorite scores from postings in the past, but I didn't know if anyone else liked it.From Facebook, a free download of the TV soundtrack of "Golden Apple."

Thanks for the link, John! I'll have to wait until I get home to open it because my work computer can't open it (it's a .rar file, not a .zip file), but my home computer can.
See's Chocolates is opening a store in the San Antonio Northstar Mall (the one with the big boots, for those who know their San Antonio trivia). Not a kiosk, but a full, year-round store. To celebrate they had a party where they gave out free chocolate and told some history of the place.
One bit of trivia was that the chocolate episode of "I Love Lucy" was filmed at See's (I know, it looked like a set to me). But that setup is how they operate. So, they had a chocolate boxing contest to see who could box the most chocolates in the quickest time. I won my division and got to keep the candies, which, luckily for me, were coconut cream, one of my faves.
Be cooler today. 8)
Job interview done. They have other interviews to do. So, I won't likely hear today.
I think it went well, but what do I know?
How can it be noon already?

From DR John G:Yes, you got to keep the box you packed. I didn't know until afterward what flavor I had worked on. They also gave you a large assorted box, some hard candies, peppermints and a bunch of other stuff that I don't need in my house.QuoteSee's Chocolates is opening a store in the San Antonio Northstar Mall (the one with the big boots, for those who know their San Antonio trivia). I never knew that bit of trivia-thanks.
How fun you got to play the game let alone keep the box. Was it the box you filled? I would have passed on the coconut creams-glad you won instead ;)

Today I got a letter about my musician's pension: it will kick in on the first week of January. I'll be making a nice sum monthly between it and social security.
I spoke to Geri about 3 hours ago over the Con Ed mess, but she never got back to me. I hope everythng has been resolved.

Thank goodness! The end of your po' days!
DR Matthew will your DP be off work tomorrow to entertain his guest?

Yes, and Sunday - the day the guest is leaving. I'm actually leaving tomorrow and not coming back until Sunday night do to a bridge closure. I work on the Peninsula and the bridge that I take from the east bay is closed this weekend and next, so I'm staying with my mom so I don't have to drive out of my way all weekend to cross the bridge. Can't say the timing could be better :)

Flu shots near me aren't till December 6th. That seems late.
I guess rain sounds pleasing to some. But if you had heavy rain all day. And it was so dreary out you'd be sick of it pretty quick.
Miserable day.
Welcome, TCB. We need your help today.
got booted oit agin
Watching Whit Stillman's "Damsels in Distress." It's really charming. For a movie with tap-dancing suicidal college students in it. ;)
Page four? Four pages? BARELY?
Listening to another upcoming Kritzerland project of delightful music that's never been released before.

I have never heard of that film, John.

Any hints?
I need an easy Middle Eastern vegetable dish to take to a dinner Sunday. Any suggestions, anyone?
Exactly. You know, fava beans with jalapenos. Or okra fritters with pickled okra.I need an easy Middle Eastern vegetable dish to take to a dinner Sunday. Any suggestions, anyone?

What did you eat, TCB?
Oh and some extra spicy Mongolian stir fry.
Well, I went to Costco and bought a gallon of olive oil, two packages of batteries, and something else I can't remember right now. Then my son called, and we went for a sandwich. Then we went back to Costco to get something for him. Then we came home, and after Sandra fixed herself some tater-tots, she saw that we had no ketchup -- so I made some.
That sounds very yummy, TCB.
Making ketchup is very exciting - I've never met anyone who has done such a thing.
What is confit anyway?
George! How was WICKED?
