Well, you've read the notes, the notes were all about a season premiere, and now it is time for you to post until the premiere cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: APERCU!
-
I shall now hope I remember how to post something to You Tube.
-
I don't remember it taking quite so long, but it's got another forty-five minutes to go - maybe it speeds up at some point. I thought it took about twenty minutes. It's only six minutes long.
-
Hopefully George will stay up a bit longer so he can be the first to watch it.
-
Geez, it really is slow. Still twenty-something minutes to go - I guess it doesn't speed up. I could have easily started the upload at eleven rather than 11:45 had I known this. Oh, well, I know things now, many wonderful things.
-
Hopefully George will stay up a bit longer so he can be the first to watch it.
I was waiting to see the episode, but it's not posted, yet. Hopefully, it won't take too much longer. :-\
-
According to the upload bar - twenty more minutes. Stay up!
-
According to the upload bar - twenty more minutes. Stay up!
I shall...I have a new version of mahjong to play on my e-tablet.
-
Ten minutes or less.
-
Just don't understand how it can take forty-nine minutes to upload a six-minute video that's compressed.
-
Seven more minutes.
-
Four minutes - and no, it never speeds up.
-
Three minutes. Just sent the eBlast to the Kritzerland list of over 2500 people.
-
Then I'll have to Facebook it, tweet it, and then I can go to sleep.
-
Two minutes.
-
I can't remember if when it finishes that's it or if there's yet another step - I don't think so, though.
-
It never speeds up, not even in the last minute.
-
98%
-
And of course during the entire upload process it slows the entire computer down to a crawl, Internet-wise.
-
Oh, now it's processing. Whatever that means. I wonder how long THAT takes? Hopefully just a moment or so.
-
Now I get a note: This is taking longer than expected. Your video has been queued. But now it's going and less than a minute.
-
The suspense - it's like a Hitchcock movie.
-
Processing is at 95% and stuck there. Hopefully it will complete in a moment.
-
Finally! Done! Let me make sure it's all working correctly then I'll post the link.
-
And here it is. Please watch and if you like share it with everyone you know, on Facebook, eBlasts, etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWBkq2eo290&feature=youtu.be
-
Cool! I'm going to watch it right now!
-
Now that's funny!
-
Yay!
-
And why not just go right to page two?
-
Or so I thought.
-
I also shared it on Facebook. :)
-
And now, I must go to sleep. I have a bit of a headache and I don't like it. :P
-
Love the new episode, BK!
Good night.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
I hope Jack is nowhere near this!

Good morning, all.
Vibes for all.
And big happy pants over the first episode, BK. Very funny.
-
Good morning, all.
That was a great Page One! Very suspenseful. I was thoroughly suspensed.
-
Must get a little more coffee into my veins (aided and abetted by this leftover cinnamon roll) before taking the plunge.
-
On my way to church but just heard shocking news of a house explosion causing a evacuation of more than 200 homes in Indianapolis --- Jack please let us know that you and yours are OK
off to church to pray for many many people
-
good morning to all
-
today is the start of my vacation and will be going up to Montreal one last time before winter sets. Want to spend as much time as I can with my dad.
-

-
Wonderful!!
Watched, then went back and re-watched the first six, and finally this one again.

DR ELMORE are there photos or stories about RIAN anywhere online?
-
DR JANE such a lovely photograph!!!
Velveeta and Kraft American.
-
Oh that was yesterday. Never mind.
-
HA! I didn't mention the MARNIE shot to MR BK because I wanted it to be a surprise! HA! Sort of symbolic of the entire enterprise....
Sorry about a Disk Freeze.....but my program is wonky....at least you got to see it one way - or another.
-
Today we have a matinee at 5 p.m.
Yesterday DePauw lost a big football game to rival school Wabash....it is the annual Monon Bell game....and Wabash has possession of the Monon Bell for another year.....the score: 23--0. I am sure Tyler the Tiger the mascot is very sad today. However, I am sure the partying, which started Friday night continued until early this morning.

Find Socks Online is the title of my new vampire novella.
-
Whew....DR BEN I am nowhere near the area....which was finally mentioned Stop 11 Road and Sherman Drive.....but that is a scary story....
-
Very funny first episode.
Since "Keep It" doesn't seem to be there any longer, is there any way to download the series?
-
I would also like to watch THE GIRL, since I do know Tippi.
Since I do not get HBO, I guess I will have to wait until the DVD is released.
:(
-
DR DRUXY I can send you a homegrown copy....but as MR BK wrote, you may have to try it on a couple of different players or your computer.
BTW - it does Tippi no favors.
-
Remembering and honoring our veterans today.....
-
Mike, Regan is Jenna Rosen and Chris is Jane Noseworthy
-
Waiting for dear reader Laura to call
-
Glad some of you are liking the episode!
-
We need photos of said DuPars event.
-
+1 8)

I will try to remember from the song of the same name. She's on her way but she's not so close to Du-Par's - probably forty minutes away. I'll leave in ten minutes and walk over there.

First Episode Of The Second Season Is Off To A Smashing Start
-
Yesterday, I finished the first draft of my 2nd book of Hollywood memoirs, which I am calling LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HOLLYWOOD. It contains stories about Rock Hudson, Christopher Lee, Jane Fonda, Charles Nelson Reilly, Janet Leigh, Tennessee Williams and a bunch of other famous folk who I didn't have room to include in the first book.
My wife is currently reading it, and I don't suppose it will be out until the 3rd or 4th quarter of next year.
-
MR BK I have a friend who is thinking of using AuthorHouse.....which publication/promotions packages do you use?
-
I am looking forward to it DR DRUXY!!

Depending on what kind of book it is, he might also consider Wheatmark or CreateSpace.

I had some onion soup for lunch which i had frozen. I think that was the first time I had frozen onion soup. It took quite a while to defrost. But it actually tasted pretty good.
-
Those two must be eating Du-par's out of house and home!

So very glad to See JRand posting --- whew!

Just watched it - very funny!!
-
JRand, drop me an e-mail and I'll tell your friend how to proceed.
-
Had a lovelier than lovely breakfast with dear reader Laura. We laughed and laughed, and just when we thought we could laugh no more, we laughed again. We both had pancakes. She heard me tell our waitress in charming but strong fashion to make sure the chef poured the butter on the pancakes and that last time despite my asking they hadn't. Sure enough when some other guy brought us our food the butter was on a side - I sent them back and told them to start from scratch and to NOT pour the butter from the cup. Then I got our waitress who said that whoever the guy who brought the food was he'd beat her to it. She made sure it was done right. The pancakes still aren't up to snuff if you ask me. It was somewhat full when I arrived at eight-forty but I got a nice-sized booth right away. An hour later, there was a big crowd of people waiting and a line out the door.
-
JRand, drop me an e-mail and I'll tell your friend how to proceed.
Will do.
-
Called our dear friend this morning to wish him a happy birthday. We wish we were closer to celebrate with him. His siblings, including Bruce's high school classmate & the soon to be mother in-law of Leslie Odom Jr, were on there way over for a birthday breakfast. Then they are all going to see the James Bond movie. It would have been fun.
-
I shall be on my way to the matinee.
-
That's crazy about the butter. I thought that was their standard way of doing it unless you asked for it otherwise.
I hope some bacon was consumed.
Actually, what I hope is that I can consume some bacon myself. Sadly, the larder is empty. Something must be done.
-
Thanks DR George.
-
today is the start of my vacation and will be going up to Montreal one last time before winter sets. Want to spend as much time as I can with my dad.

OUTSIDE THE BOX was High-larious! Gross, but High-larious!

From DR TCB:
I didn't know you could hide posts from people on Facebook. I can think of a few thousand political posts I would have liked to have hidden from me!
You could have hidden the biggest offender's until after the election. I don't know how to hide a post from someone but I do know other's who have hidden a person while talking about a surprise for the them. Every other fb friend knew what was going on except the one person who was hidden. :)
-
Bruce every time you mention Jerry's I cringe. I hope the one you go to is better than the horrid one in Westwood. I can't imagine the bread is any better.
-
I am looking forward to it DR DRUXY!!
Me, too.
-
Bruce every time you mention Jerry's I cringe. I hope the one you go to is better than the horrid one in Westwood. I can't imagine the bread is any better.
There was a Jerry's Deli in Westwood? Don't recall that, but could have been before my time. Where was it?
-
Oh wait, there's a whole bunch of them. Didn't know that. They're all over the damn place. It's on Weyburn Ave. in Westwood. I guess these are all "after" my time.
-
I'd only been to the one on Ventura Blvd. a few times back in the '80s.
-
Ack! It's in the Hamburger Hamlet's spot next to the Bruin! Or in that block, anyway.
-

After your time. It is where the Hamburger Hamlet used to be. It was ok at first & kept getting worst. The last time I was there I only stopped in for a loaf of Challah & a loaf of rye to bring home. They were so bad I threw them out.
-

IMHO you don't have to be sorry about that.

Cross-posted! :)

I see you beat me & found the location on your own.

Cross-posted! :)
Twice ;)

It seems to be a feast at the library after a long famine. Another book became available for me to check out. I think I will wait until tomorrow to do so.
-
Good afternoon. I'm afraid I'm in a situation which requires and strong well worded email to my pastor about one of our paid cantors. The issue started this morning in which I did ask the pastor to excuse him from the early Mass we were suppose to do together. He ended up talking to him, but there is so much more at this point. I'm going to ask that he be encouraged to move on. He's been there for 20+ years and I think it's time to move on. One of the things he said to me this morning was "I cant trust you anymore" - which is unacceptable coming from someone who the people around him bend over backward for him. I'm just about done.
-

No i defrosted it. First overnight in the fridge (which did little good). And then in a pan on the stove. It took a while for it to get hot.,

I am waiting for my library to get a lot of new books. IT seems they are slow (not getting them right away). Although I have to go tomorrow to pick up two books that came out in October. There are another two books I really want (one came out in Oct and one Nov). Hopefully soon.

OUTSIDE THE BOX was High-larious! Gross, but High-larious!
Just watched it. Very funny. BK that was you on the phone, right? Very funny. I loved the way you kept saying "Hal Lin-den". :)
-
I am home now from a long day out and about. At 3, I met Lynda and Fionnuala for dinner before their flight. They are off to Dublin, and I am in for the evening.
First, muscle relaxer for my shoulder and then the heating pad.
-
Watched the episode - Sharon McNight never looked better LOL

CHURCH VIBES FOR DR MATTHEW!
-
DR Jane, I did not expect it to defrost itself overnight. But i thought it would at least do a little bit. At least it came out of the container easily. Sometimes that part can be tricky.
-
I've been just as surprised the day after leaving something in the frig. At least you wanted it heated & not room temperature to eat. ;)

I didn't realize there were neck cracking noises, but then I don't hear very well. I think I'm glad I missed it ;D

Sunday evening greetings! You've heard of destination weddings? Well, this morning Holy Nativity in Lima hosted a destination baptism for the grandson of the only couple left from a congregation in Northern Kentucky that recently fell apart. We had the baby and his parents and big sister, his aunt and uncle and cousin, the godparents, and the grandparents. We had a nice turn-out of Lima parishioners and a lovely potluck lunch afterwards. The Bishop and his wife were very pleased and Richard and I are exhausted.

Destination baptism, funny. A shame though of the circumstances that they had to travel.

Good morning, all.
That was a great Page One! Very suspenseful. I was thoroughly suspensed.
It kept me in suspants too.

-
We kind of saw it coming, DR Jane...
-
At least you were somewhat prepared.
-
Good evening.
I am full of a Five Guys cheesehamburger and too many fries.
Mmm, fries. I had In N Out fries last night. With one of their amazing grilled cheese sandwiches. I was STUFFED.
-
I've only been to In N Out a few times, and then only for fries. For fast food their fries were decent.
-
As a pescetarian, my food choices are limited there, but it's good when I can get it.
-
Though I call myself a vegetarian I am occasionally a pescetarian.
-
I wish I could take the next step and become a vegan. I'm very proud of my youngest son who has done this.
-
I don't see myself becoming vegan, though I've often wished I could give up dairy or go kosher in my seafood consumption.
-
I'm on the sephora website adding goodies to my wish list. For whenever I have money.
-
I have greatly reduced my dairy. I used to cook way too much with cheese.
-
Will we ever make it to page 6?
-
It is a slow night. I should really be cleaning my desk or reading.

I was MIA mostly due to facebook addiction.
-
Apparently I can only handle one board/forum/social network at a time. My poor LiveJournal is so neglected.
-
Our church collected cleaning supplies for the Sandy victims - we also collected work gloves, socks, batteries, and those large contractor bags
When I suddenly disappeared before it was because I had gotten a call that were going to bring the supplies over to a sister congregation in Lindenhurst
-
We brought the van over - loaded with mops, buckets, bleach (lots of bleach) bags etc. When we got there were asked if we would mind bringing it down to the areas that were hardest hit rather than unloading it at the other church's comfort station so off we went
-
That's lovely, DR vixmom. :)
-
this is the area where I spent a great deal of my time when I was in my 20's - the devastation is unbelievable

People are living in homes with no power or heat (14 days now) and no immediate prospect of any as their houses were flooded
there are huge piles of things everywhere - stuff they are trying to dry out and salvage and stuff that is just garbage now
we just drove up and down the neighborhood in the van and would ask if they needed any cleaning supplies - word would spread down the block and people would come and we would hand stuff out-- they were overjoyed to be given a gallon of bleach and a clean mop and bucket
when they found out that we also had contracter bags they were so grateful - the area this is in is not close to any store s- many of them still do not have working cars (as they were also submerged) or they don't have the gas and could not go out and waiting on gas lines because they are busy trying to get all the rapidly molding wet stuff out of their homes - also they were afraid to leave thier homes for an extended period of time as their are looters who are ripping copper pipes out and grabbing all the metal they can to sell as scrap
they have had to enforce a curfew in the area from 5 PM to dawn to try and keep the looters out - but now ot seems that soem, of the looters are coming ion by boat and sneaking in that way (all these homes are on or just off canals)
-
Then I came home to my warm house and cooked dinner on my electric stove - did some laundry -- it just seems wrong somehow -
-
George, how are you enjoying FIREFLY?
-
we are really lucky

I'm attempting a forum comeback. I've missed it here.

Yes, you were luckier than a lot of people. And those of us on the West Coast are very lucky, too.

I'm attempting a forum comeback. I've missed it here.
Well you have certainly been missed by us.
-
That sounds frightening enough without looters. Yeesh.
DR vixmom, it's not wrong as long as you are grateful for it & do what you can.
I believe that we can't be of help to others if we can't help ourselves.
-
George, how are you enjoying FIREFLY?
I am...I'm watching the second episode on the second disc right now. :)
-
Welcome back, singingnymph!

Matthew, I wish you the best. Sounds like you're dealing with a diva. As such, just make sure it seems as if he's the diva and you're about getting the job done as best as possible with the mission in music being the foremost goal.
-
George is listed as being here, but he must have forgotten to sign out.

Welcome back, singingnymph.

Thanks, guys!

Whoops, sorry George, I guess I was too impatient.
-

I'll do my best!

Our church has a paid minister of music who runs our choirs - (adult praise choir, adult traditional choir, children's choir, youth choir, string choir, three bell choirs, and brass chorale) as well as being our organist on Sundays - but we have no paid singers
-
Vixmom, are you feeling back to normal? I mean what ever passes as normal for the two of us.
-
I've been back in Fresno for a while (bounced around every few years between here in LA) & I think I want to stay. Been doing my meager part to help the creative community where I can, & finding my niche in it.

Wow, that is a lot of choirs.

I'm here...just flipping between websites on different tabs and watching "Firefly."

A very musical church! Sounds like fun.

What kinds of things are you doing?
-
George, do you have any desire to see FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Village? Matt Posner is in it, if that affects your decision one way or another.

Do you need a driver? I hadn't thought about going, but if I had company, that sounds like fun. :)
-
Back at my old haunt (hehe), The Grove Haunt (a seasonal Halloween attraction) in nearby Sanger. Just finished another great season. And I make myself available every March as a minion/volunter-deluxe to the producers of the Rogue (fringe) Festival.
I also have a chanteuse alter-ego waiting to make her debut. I have a couple pianist pals who've made themselves available to work with me. I really wanted to do a Mae West birthday party this past August, but couldn't raise enough money. Saving it for next year, which is her 120th.

Yes, I've got the car and the gasoline, but I do need a driver. It opened last Thursday, but it runs until the end of December in Issaquah.
-
I just watched an episode of "Firefly" and Zac Efron played the younger version of their doctor. And now, Christina Hendricks (from "Mad Men") plays a woman who married (without his knowledge or consent) captain Mal. :D

How cool is that? How much money do you have to raise?

If she married Mal, I assume she will die by the end of the episode.

Terrific. We will make plans. Do you know Vince Wingerter? He is also in the show, as well as my friend Julian who played Sky Masterson in my production of GUYS AND DOLLS.

Sounds like ours, too. We have a traditional choir, bell choir, youth chimes, youth bells, youth choir, two praise teams, and a number of soloists, but only the paid music director.

Am on the last episode of the first season of Homeland. Great writing. Wonderful suspense.

I think I need to find a different church. One with a little more to their music program.

I raised a little under $100. I'm aiming for enough to pay one of pianists, get some appropriate party supplies & prizes, & entice a venue into hosting me. I'm thinking a couple hundred more at the least. I also want to get some performers from the drag & burlesque communities, & I want to be able to guarantee them something. Most likely it will be out of the cover charge. Which I want to be affordable. So the more I can raise, the less I have to worry about it the night of the event.

I think that that's where they're heading.
She's seducing all the men. ::)

I don't know them other than from G&D.

Oh! And in August/September I organized a mostly successful costume swap meet for charity. I say mostly successful, because I had vendors that just about had more items than there was space for them, but I really would've liked to raise more for the charity. Well, it was good for a first time effort. It will be better next year.

Those all sound great. Keep us informed. Have you thought of trying Kickstarter for the Mae West project?

yep = and this is his part time job! He is a music teacher in a public school. He also has two sons, 1 and 3 - and works with our youth - hard worker that one!

I used Indiegogo, because I didn't want to deal with paypal. I got a couple donations, but I really started it too late.
I had made up a lovely donation letter & form that I was going to send to some businesses, but then got cold feet about asking for money, especially as a relative unknown. I also didn't even really have the money to get them all printed, which was kind of sad.
I started the Indiegogo account & blasted it to my friends for about a month, but that's about as far as it went.
Close to the 11th hour, I got desperate & emailed some of the businesses with the Indiegogo link.
I didn't hear back from one of them.
Which was probably better than getting "Who the hell are you?" but it does make me a little worried about asking them next year. My hope is that it went into their spam folders & that they never saw it. :/

Whew...all is well. They caught her and foiled her plan.

Well, my work here is done.
G'night!

Congrats, Druxy!
-
Oh! And my chanteuse alter-ego's name is Meg West. *chortle*
She's inspired by Mae West (of course), Sophie Tucker, & Ethel Waters.
And to a lesser extent, Marlene Dietrich & Pearl Bailey.
I made her a facebook page here:

Good night to those turning in! It's still 9pm here... contemplating watching a movie.
-
Night, all.

Everything goes to hell when you start paying people. I feel the same way about community theatre
-
Back from a very good production of Intimate Apparel, and some Mexican food. Just sent the call sheet for this week's shoot to everyone - at least I hope I remembered everyone.

Glad singingnymph is back with us.

Me too!

Hey, page 9, lookat that!

Oh, I remembered one other hilarious anachronism from The Girl - "quiet on set." Note to dopey screenwriter - "on set" is a "now" term - when it began in the last few years I know not, but I loathe it. They would have said "quiet" or "quiet on the set" but NEVER EVER "quiet on set."
