Well, you've read the notes, the notes are what you are talkin' about, and now it is time for you to post until the talkin' about cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TARTAR!
-
Good morning.
-
I really need to go to sleep.
-
Good morning, all.
Another 10-hour day today. And I'm still tired from last night.
More energy to all.
-
TOD:
The Indian/Pakistani restaurant and market near work has a curried goat brains plate on its menu. I think that's probably as exotic as anything I can think of at this moment. I enjoyed it, for the most part, though I'd probably never order it again.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Slept late and lots to do.
Bye for now.
-
Good morning, all.
Coffee. Into the bloodstream, please.
This morning I have yes no bananas. And no cinnamon rolls. Or oatmeal raisin cookies. Nothing. I'm going out early to do some Thanksgiving shopping, and will treat myself to something then.
Oh, for a Du-pars.
-
The Paypal thing: HORRIBLE. What is wrong with these people?
-
DR John G., I would happily try that savory cheesecake. Please drop some in the mail.

:o That is disgusting. And has completely put me off my lunch.
-
TOD:
I don't do exotic food. My idea of exotic is having brown sauce with my fish and chips.
-
The Paypal thing: HORRIBLE. What is wrong with these people?
And people wonder why I won't go near Paypal.
-
TOD
I could think about this for a while, but I doubt I'll be able to come up with anything much more exotic than DR Doug R's brown sauce.
-
Good morning, all! I want the neighbor above me dead. He's becoming as noisy as the previous one, and I am harboring homicide fantasies. At least, this tme, there's no barking dog to add to the cacaphany.
So, I am off to run errands and then hit Toyland for a bit. I'm still debating Thanksgiving day plans, which are truly vague.
-
Good Morning, everybody!
-
I'm with DR DOUG R - well not about trying the goat brains - but about his idea of exotic foods.
I shall read today's posts with interest.....
-
DR BEN - MR BK was having trouble with a debit card......I have used PayPal for over ten years and NEVER had any trouble with it. And it is much more convenient for the buyer AND the seller than money orders or checks.
I have had a couple of episodes with my credit card....Visa and Master Card....that were fixed, but never with PayPal, although I do not have a card with them.
I do a lot of shopping online, and NO merchant ever sees your account number OR your card number.
-
Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving as l I may not be able to post from my sister in laws house.
I'm waiting for the shuttle to pick me up as I type this. I dropped the dogs off at the kennel this morning and cried all the way home.
This feels so strange. I've never went anywhere for the holidays. I know I overpacked but since I'm not sure about how cold it will be (50's don't sound to cold) I took some heavy things and some light along with my coat and boots that I bought for NY.
Be safe, be happy and have a wonder filled Holiday!
-
DR Danise, I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with warmth and wonderful moments.

Same here, DR JRand62! I didn't even know about a Paypal debit/credit card until BK mentioned it.
-
And greetings from Toyland!
I do not understand all of these fools who line up at the subway doors to be the first ones off and who then, once they've exited the train, take the stairs at a slow crawl. Move your damned asses!
-
Good morning.
That's all I got...
-
Good morning.
-
Curried Goat Brains...I'd eat those.
-
Curried Goat Brains...I'd eat those.
Thank you, MBarnum.
-
Curried Goat Brains...I'd eat those.
You can have mine!
-
And mine....
-
I'm up, and have just had my curried goat brains, which is also the title of my next novel.
-
Telephonic meeting was fun - basically about promotion for Outside the Box and sponsorship opportunities that they're going to go after.
-
Sponsorship is a good word.
-
I went through my entire 3 day weekend (Friday through Sunday) without logging onto a computer at all. It was very freeing. But now I feel that I have missed things. And now I must ketchup with HHW.
I tried to ketchup with Facebook last night, but it was acting wonky and so I only was able to see one days worth of postings.
-
Curried Goat Brains...I'd eat those.
Relax. That won't improve or strengthen yours.
-
Don't accept sponsership from a tabacco company, though--they'll dictate that all of your performers are required to smoke.
-

SAFE & EASY TRAVELS AND A DARN GOOD TIME VIBES!!!
-
And I can head back uptown now. My work at Toyland is finished for the day, and I've got my barber appointment scheduled for early tomorrow morning.
-
It's funny how most of us are repulsed at the idea of eating brains but will ask for a second helping of the rump roast.
-
I have been using PayPal for years now without a problem. I would use them for more internet trasactions, but since they draw funds directly from my bank account I don't get any points on purchases as I do on my credit card.
-
Does sponsorship mean we have to watch a commercial before episode starts?
That would only make me happy if the $$ came to YOU.
-
I guess I can spill the beans now: After four years of trying to make it viable, we'll finally be issuing the cast album of A Time for Singing on CD. We'd actually worked out a deal that made sense three months ago, but I insisted that Rhino get amazon and other online dealers who were offering a bootleg LP transfer as downloads or CD-Rs to pull the title, which has now happened. So, it's onward now. It's not a short process with Rhino, but look for this around February.

We don't know exactly what it means but that certainly would be an option for them - but if it helps pay for the show, I'll do it. Happily, unlike other sites, on B'way World, you can slide the progress bar on the commercial right to the end and skip it easily.
-
All caught up

Why don't I know this show?
-
Hmmm just read about it on Wikipedia.....interesting.

Tuesday afternoon greetings! We had to be in Dayton at 11 this morning for Richard's first post-op appointment with the podiatrist who operated on his foot. We saw her handiwork for the first time when the heavy bandaging was removed and it looks great. His foot was rebandaged and we will return a week from today for the stitches to come out. I also had an appointment for her to look at my - ahem - funky toenail. She
gave sold me some medication to use on it and told me to come back in March.
-
After our appointments we had a delightful lunch at First Watch and did a couple of errands. Now we're home and I'm doing laundry while Richard recovers from this morning's excitement.
-
Good recovery news from DR GINNY!!
-
Now that THE CRUCIBLE is over - I have five days where I don't HAVE to do anything....it is very nice.
-
Here I am saying goodbye to the lovely Britt Cryer after our final performance of THE CRUCIBLE on Saturday
night. that's David in the background in the green coat....he was also a very nice person.... ;D

There....that's all from me for awhile.
-
Nice Crucible photos, JRand. Did you get to use the hangman's gallow?
-
Back from a Cobb salad. Expecting packages today but no point in going over there until later in the afternoon.
-
Nice pictures, DR Jrand62.
-
DR Ginny, glad that Richard's hammertoe is fixed.
And is hammertoe anything like Hammer Time?
-
I don't know that show either, but I'm game!

Yipee. I hope you can work your sound magic with it, too.

The doctor sent a prescription to our pharmacy and it's ready to be picked up. Off to Kroger - pray for Rosemary's baby...

Well, took my car into the repair shop the other day. Thankfully, all the repairs were covered under the nifty 10 year, 100,000 mile warrenty that my car came with.
However...of course...they say that I need 4 new tires, as mine are all in the danger zone.
so, saved a little and spent a lot little.

Mikey, the curried goat brains can only help!
-
DR JRand62, the photos are great!
-
Thank you DR MBARNUM, DR CHAS SMITH, and DR ELMORE.
At the end of the show, there were several slides of people hanging that were projected on the scrim behind the gallows....it was most effective.

The paramedics are taking my elderly neighbor in an ambulance.
-
Great photos, JRand. Sounds like it was a great experience for you.
-
I have been jumping through the weirdest set of hoops and over odd hurdles in the last few weeks, and it seems as if I might be facing a smoother track in just a few days. The news I referred to awhile back is slowly but surely coming to be, and I can hardly wait to share the news, but that's all I can say now.
-
Back from the weekly drink with Steve.
While in town I went to HMV and bought the new Blu-ray of THE MAN WHO NEVER WAS which is one of my absolute all time favorites. Great picture quality and the original stereo sound. It's not on Fox's own label but released on Odeon Entertainment who seem to have started a tie-in with Fox.
-
On my way out to see a good friend's high school production of "Once on this Island".
-
Survived my Tuesday-before-Thanksgiving unplanned trip to Kroger, but I don't care to make another one on Wednesday.
-
The paramedics are taking my elderly neighbor in an ambulance.
Sorry to hear that, DR Laura - hope she's OK!
-
Oh my DR LAURA!
Good vibes for DR JOHN G. Yes, it was a lot of fun and very interesting returning to the "college" theater environment.
-
On my way out to see a good friend's high school production of "Once on this Island".
That sounds like fun.
-
Oh gosh, DR Laura, I hope you elderly neighbor will be ok.
-
DR John, very glad about the good news and very looking forward to when you can share it!
-
I am hoping to get my delivery of the Shochiku science fiction film set before the long weekend! Then I shall sit down to enjoy this favorite 1960s classic!

I was told to get new tires before winter. Hmmmm, not sure I will though. Maybe I just won't drive my car.

Thank you DR MBARNUM, DR CHAS SMITH, and DR ELMORE.

Nice pics DR Jrand. The slide show sounds good.

:( Is this the same woman who has been in hospice?

:) Good luck!
-
Nice photos, DRJRand62!
-
Congrats to BK for the success of Outside the Box on broadwayworld.com!
-
Oh gosh, DR Laura, I hope you elderly neighbor will be ok.
Me, too.
-
Four!
-
I must say I'm surprised at the spelling of Stephen Findle's first name. I thought it might be something like STEFFYNNE.
-
Back from picking up a package.
-
I am debating my Thanksgiving options: movie? dinner? movie and dinner? neither? either? I hate being alone on holidays.
I invited my friend Andy to have dinner with me, but he will be on Staten Island feeding the homeless.
-
Miss Mae Belle passed away today.
-
Thanks for the thoughts for my neighbor. I hope she will be ok.
-
So sorry to hear that Laura, but it sounds like she had a good life and was well loved.
-
Thanks, Ben. I'm glad it is over quickly for her.
-
Miss Mae Belle passed away today.
I'm sorry. Hugs to you.
-
Thanks for the thoughts for my neighbor. I hope she will be ok.
VIBES SHE WILL BE OK & NOT IN PAIN!!!!
-
Thanks, Ben. I'm glad it is over quickly for her.
That is comforting.
-
And the word of the day is: TARTAR!
Is that Beef TARTAR, or Tuna TARTAR?
-
I heard that the neighbor had a massive stroke.
-
Miss Mae Belle passed away today.
I'm sorry, DR Laura.

Danise, I hope you have the happiest and the most memorable Thanksgiving ever!
-
Curried Goat Brains...I'd eat those.
Mikey, you have curried goat brains!
-
I heard that the neighbor had a massive stroke.
Sorry to hear that, Laura.
-
BK, I know it isn't Wednesday yet (except for Doug), but is there a way for us regular folk to see how many times the OUTSIDE THE BOX episodes have been watched?
-
No, the views thing is private on B'way world. But in less than two days, the new episode is closing in on 6,000, so I'm very happy with that.
-
I am on a tear here. I just went out to the garage and pulled about 100 more DVDs to go trade in at Amoeba, which means I've probably got two to three hundred now that are going away, and frankly I'm at the point where I just want to sell them all - I'm never going to watch two-thirds of them again so why have them? The Blu and Ray closet is now, astonishingly, full and I have to just start thinning out. I don't want all this crap anymore. Worse is the CD closet and I'm thinking about that very strongly - I have a ton of limited edition CDs, extras, sealed in a box that keeps growing, plus I've probably now got two hundred CDs that are stacked on the floor of the closet, sealed, half of which I will never ever have time to listen to. It's time for this stuff to go bye bye and I may have a big sale on the FSM board, but in order to do so, I have to have someone come here and type the list on the computer - it would be worth paying someone fifty bucks for the few hours it will take.
-
I heard that the neighbor had a massive stroke.
Not sure what to wish for her, I suppose only that she can live a good life after this.
-
DR Laura, so sorry about Miss Mae Bell and your neighbor

FROM ME TOO!!
-
SO, today I realized that the idea of packing up Callie and going to mom and dad's when I have been so crazed and have SOOOO many things to do here. So I called mom and said "Would you be upset if I stayed home for Thanksgiving" she said "Heaven's no, I don't blame you a bit for wanting to stay there". WHEW!!!!! I actually couldn't believe it. Then we laughed because I invited them here and she didn't want to come and now here I was saying I didn't want to go there.
-
It felt like the weight of the world was off my shoulders. I've been so stressed out lately that I need the time here to just clean house, do some writing for work and just hang with the cats. I may see a movie or two....I have a party to go to Wednesday night and two separate wedding receptions if I want to, one for a friends' kids (I don't know them so probably won't go) and one for a client who we helped his bride come to the country legally to marry him. I may go to that one. Anyway, this year, unlike a few years ago, I am thrilled to be able to be home on thanksgiving
-
I was going to roast 1/2 a turkey (have the butcher slice it lengthwise and freeze the other half), but decided a Jenny O turkey roast was easier. I did get a pint of oysters and will make a big batch of scalloped oysters.
-
The kitties will be very happy to have you stay home.
-
Dr Jennifer, I'm fine with the final DWS teams. Mom likes Shawn and Derek the best now.
-
The kitties will be very happy to have you stay home.
I think so. Tonight they are all ignoring me completely

Great news for Richard. How are your feet after all this time?
DR Jane, the left foot that I had operated on 4+ years ago is fine, but it will be a long, long time before I'll consider having anything done to the right. If ever.
-
The doctor sent a prescription to our pharmacy and it's ready to be picked up. Off to Kroger - pray for Rosemary's baby...
VIBES THE MEDICATION WORKS!!!
No biggie, DR Jane. Richard's toe was a little redder than she expected and she prescribed an antibiotic to ward off infection.
-
DR Laura, I'm so sorry for your neighbor and I send my condolences to all who love Miss Mae Belle.
-
It's funny how most of us are repulsed at the idea of eating brains but will ask for a second helping of the rump roast.
Have you ever tasted brains? Yuck. Give me a rump roast anytime. And that is not the same as eating horse anus like they made them do on nasty FEAR FACTOR.
-
Signing off for the night to watch Rizzoli & Isles - a rerun of the season finale. New episodes begin next Tuesday. I have a LOT to do tomorrow, but will be home all day and will post when I take breaks from cleaning & decorating for Thanksgiving.
'night!

I am assuming we are not talking about the RIFLEMAN episode of the same name?

Lots going on tonight, it seems. VIBES for all DRs, families, friends, and neighbors who needs 'em.

Here is Ben our assistant stage manager just because he was hard working and nice to look at.

Indeed, a very nice looking young man!
-
My sympathies, DR Laura.
-
Why have I been the only one to address the TOD?
-
Survived my Tuesday-before-Thanksgiving unplanned trip to Kroger, but I don't care to make another one on Wednesday.
Oh, now I understand! Thanksgiving dinner shoppers. I couldn't figure out why I was praying for Rosemary's Baby.
-
DRs MBarnum and Jrand62, if the Barnes and Noble gods smile upon me and the creek don't rise, I'll have the SHOCHIKU set in my hands tomorrow afternoon. And not through the mail -- I happily go brick-&-mortar on these things.
-
Thank you DR MBARNUM, DR CHAS SMITH, and DR ELMORE.

Does floop count?

Oh gosh, DR Laura, I hope you elderly neighbor will be ok.
Me, too.
Ditto!
-
I have a cooking question for John G:
Dear John G.,
I have some sage growing in the backyard. Can I use fresh sage in my turkey stuffing?
I also have some that I dried. I know that the store-bought stuff is called "rubbed sage." What would I do to make the dried stuff "rubbed?"
-
Miss Mae Belle passed away today.
I am so sorry, Laura. Vibes of comfort for all who knew her.
-
Why have I been the only one to address the TOD?
Does floop count?
It does!
-
Thank you all for keeping Mae Belle in your thoughts and prayers. She is the fifth death we've had in our congregation this year. And we have a small congregation to start with.
-
I ate floop on a dare.

You can use fresh sage. You use two to three times as much fresh to dried, because the flavor is more concentrated in the dried.
Rubbed sage is dried sage rubbed, often in your hands, to make it powdery.
Thanks for the question.
-
I'm sorry to hear that about your congregation, too.
-
So which would you suggest I use, seeing that I have both?
-
No, the views thing is private on B'way world. But in less than two days, the new episode is closing in on 6,000, so I'm very happy with that.

I think I will try rubbing the dried sage. Since that's what I'm used to.
-
I am on a tear here.
If I start wheeling towards there tomorrow, I could probably get to your house by President's Day.
-
You're making me hungry just talking about sage. I do love dressing. Good grief, I may have to find a fresh turkey tomorrow

Looking at the map on the wall it's downhill all the way, lol

Oh, Cillaliz. My mother made THE BEST stuffing. My sister and I were able to recreate it, as close as possible.
-
Congratulations on the 6000 views! I went over and viewed all the episodes again but I am either too tired or too stupid to figure out how to subscribe -- I will try again on Thursday when I hopefully will be bit more rested
-
Laura, I am so sorry or your loss---
-
So which would you suggest I use, seeing that I have both?
I would probably go with the dried, because you can add it with everything else at the beginning of the cooking. You would add fresh toward the end of the cooking; otherwise, its flavor could get slimy. And on Thanksgiving, you need all the time-saving steps you can get.
-
I am terribly tired - Thursday we are going to my brother's for Thanksgiving - so that will be nice
-
and relaxing
-
Vixter has to work so she will not be with us for dinner
-

I should correct my statement I love stuffing...in the bird....not dressing...in a dish
-
Elmore - have you considered joining your friend helping out on Staten Island?
-
Thanks, John.
Vixmom, I hope you get a chance to relax!
-
Laura will you share your Mom's stuffing recipe?
-

It MUST be in the bird. Absolutely.
-
Back from recording the Stephen Findle dialogue, which is always fun.
-
It was very simple. Cook lots of onion and celery in butter. Add the sage and salt and pepper. For the bread, she used torn up hot dog buns. She liked the consistency of that. Plus most of a pan of crumbled unsweetened cornbread. Moisten it with chicken broth, and stuff it in the turkey.

Sounds good. We never did the cornbread part. But I do like the sweet it adds to the savory of the rest of the ingredients
-
Jack, thank you for posting the Crucible pictures - I wish I could have seen the show
-
Yes, i haven't mentioned it, but I really enjoyed the Crucible photos

Sounds great. Just needs some crumbled sage sausage and dried cranberries! :)

(That was for ChasSmith.)

More for me!

My Mom's stuffing is made with onion and turkey liver sauteed in butter and cubes of white, wheat and rye bread - celery and a little parsley--- oh and just to be to be sure to excite the salmonella police --- a raw egg is mixed in -- before stuffing it into the raw turkey for cooking
sure is tasty though!
-
Sounds wonderful! I don't think you need to worry too much about salmonella as long as you get the stuffing up to temp and don't store it in the carcus in the refrigerator after eating. Or maybe that's just a family rumor
-
Night, all.
And sage-stuffed dreams for all.

I did that. It told me to enter my e-mail address and it would send me instructions. I did that but it never sent me anything.
-
Good night, John. I'm sure I will have more questions tomorrow!
-
AH! I figured it out - I was looking at the very top of the screen - i needed to look below the Out of the Box logo

I guess I will be making dressing this year, since all I bought myself was a little Butterball roast.

All eggs are raw till you cook them.

I don't think so.

Finished with my viewing.
-
Well, my work here is done.
G'night!
-
Season One of "Alice" will now commence.
-
I guess I can spill the beans now: After four years of trying to make it viable, we'll finally be issuing the cast album of A Time for Singing on CD.
Hoo and Ray!! ;D And that was actually going to be my question tomorrow...if you had any cast album reissues in the works!
So...any others?
;)
-
Nice pictures, DR Jrand62.
I agree! Thanks for sharing!
-
I have been jumping through the weirdest set of hoops and over odd hurdles in the last few weeks, and it seems as if I might be facing a smoother track in just a few days. The news I referred to awhile back is slowly but surely coming to be, and I can hardly wait to share the news, but that's all I can say now.
Good luck, John...with whatever it is!

Today was a very busy day at work. All I had to do was prepare the monthly report for the business office of all the invoices that are going to be paid this month. It took all day. :P
