Well, you've read the notes, the notes did the Turkey Lurkey, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently doing the Turkey Lurkey having finished with the Cow Cow Boogie.
-
And the word of the day is: FAINAIGUE!
-
Hopefully today will be calm and collected - let's have FUN.
-
And a very happy haineshisway.com birthday to occasional dear reader Robbie Rozelle!

<sigh> A new Forbidden Broadway, all is right with the world
Good Night

Morning all.
That is all.
-
Back to oatmeal, raisins, walnuts, cinnamon and coffee
-
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
-
They say we may get a light dusting of snow by the end of today.
-
Good morning, all.
Feel-better vibes for those in need.

TOD: Cy Coleman. I wrote a paper on him back in the first college go-round. I think it would be fun to do more research.
-
Been to the opticians to have my glasses repaired.
Shops are tremendously busy everywhere and of course will be up until Christmas. It's also difficult to get into cafes and restaurants.
-
Good morning, all.
It's snowing.

Here we areon Tuesday.

I read the comments yesterday about TAXI DRIVER. I saw it when it was first released in 1976 and thought it a tremendous, powerful film – one of the best ever portrayals of urban alienation. Before the film started, the Main Title music was played, in the manner of an Overture. At that time I wasn’t into film music - didn’t know who scored the film and knew nothing about Bernard Herrmann. On hearing the music in the auditorium as a prelude to the film I though it sounded awful! Fortunately my film music horizons expanded and I now love Herrmann’s music, including that score – which became one of the first soundtracks LPs I bought.

good morning from the mouth of the rat

i was in Barnes and Noble last night and one of their featured DVDs was
RADIO CITY MUSICAL CHRISTMAS SHOW.
Does DR ELMOORE have any of his orchestrations heard in this release?
-
DR Doug R, that's interesting about the title music being played as an overture. And for this film, of all things. Do you recall the theater doing that with other films then?
I also wonder how they did it -- play the LP? Even that sounds odd now, but if I remember correctly, Stanley Kubrick sent out an LP to play from for BARRY LYNDON so I guess it wasn't unusual for the projection booth to include a turntable.
Herrmann's TAXI DRIVER score thrilled me like nothing else. Those incredible intense chords, with the crescendos and decrescendos, almost scary. And then the seductive sax/jazz sections. When OBSESSION came around later that year, I hate to admit being a little bored with that in comparison.
-
I have Barry Lyndon by William Makepeace Thackery as an e-book on my Sony E-Reader
-
When I came into the office at 6:30 it wasn't doing anything. A colleague has just come in and he said it's lightly misting/snowing in Manhattan.
-
Speaking of LPs, I know I'll sound like a broken one, but it's tragic that we here won't be able to see this rendition of Turkey Lurkey.
TRAGIC.
It's a TRAGEDY.
-
But Southern and Western England are having terrible weather with flooding and heavy rain.
-
My aim before the year is out is to have reach 10,000 postings (This time around. I forgot how many I had before the switch over of boards and the resetting of the #s)

The super will install it when we get it and he will also fix the toilet.
-
Ahh, David Jacobs, just what I need for a Tuesday morning work session.
-
Oy! Of all days, this is when the guy wants to deliver firewood. Which means he'll dump it in the snow and I'll have to cover it as best I can till I can schlep it around the house to where it's kept in the rack. And I can't tell him to try another day -- he's hard enough to schedule deliveries with and I could end up waiting weeks or have to look elsewhere. What a pain in the bloomin' arse.

;D

Good morning, all! I was thrilled to see this morning that DR TCB and I are honorary Jews on HHW. I thank you, BK, for that compliment. It's made my day! Thirty-three years ago, when I moved to New York, I think I knew one word of Yiddish and had been friends with maybe, at most, five Jews in my life - the Cohen boys, the Zollett twins, and a college oommate. I think it's all a part of becoming an authentic New Yorker.
So, today I am off to Toyland. I have to stock up on bottled water for the fridge there - big meeting on Thursday! - and hopefully get through a couple of ROBERTA charts.
For all of you writers on HHW, I think my idea about the vampires in the apartment above me is a great idea, so you'd better run with it before I sell it to Hollywood.
More coffee!

Does DR ELMOORE have any of his orchestrations heard in this release?
I don't think so. I did the 1998 edition, and I don't think any of that remains in the current show.

Freidkin's remake of Wages of Fear called Sorcerror had an overture or as he put it mood setting music. It went on and on and people started to complain so it was cut short and they put the movie on. I think I saw one of the first showings that day. by the end of the first week it had been dropped.

I have debated reading that for sometime, but I'm afraid that VANITY FAIR was enough Thackeray for me. I'm waiting for Amazon to send me ANNA KARENINA; I have misplaced my copy and I am determined to get through it.

Morning.
Wow, finally it is butt cold. Had to turn on the heat and have a glass of warm water.
It feels like December already, with Thanksgiving so early.
The neighbors have their lights up, I need to think of something simple to do outside this year.
Last year was green garlands and pincones. This year I'm thinking gold and red.
:)

Oh -- That's really interesting, too! I went to SORCERER as soon as it opened, and this makes me want to think I heard that played in the theater, too.

I don't recall any other examples. I assume they used the LP. This incidentally, was the London premiere at the Odeon, Haymarket. In fact, I went there again, a few weeks later, to see it again.
-
Last night BK wrote (re: whether he might do some modern parodies):
I'd like to but the fact is there aren't many modern things that appeal to me, but the real problem is they're actually turning these dreadful movies into musicals - things that are just totally wrong as musicals. At one point in season two we were thinking about The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and I even wrote a really fun opening number for it - we'll see if that one makes season three.
What about something like The Hunger Games. Even though it wasn't your cup of tea at least you did see the movie so you know the plotline.

Happy Tuesday, all.

DR Cillaliz, what did you think of last night's DWTS?
There were a few things about it that I did not care for.
I loved that first number that Shawn and Derek did. But I did not feel that it was right for them to do it as their encore knowing that the judges felt it broke the rules. That bugged me.
I loved their finale. But wonder if it was slightly unfair that they brought in the Women's Olympic gymnastics team to dance with them.
I didn't think that Val and Kelly's freestyle was good enough to win. And I am tore about Melissa and Tony's freestyle. I thought their encore was the best. But while the freestyle was good. IT just wasn't flashy enough for me. I liked the lifts. But I feel like certain things are expected of a winning freestyle. And Derek really knows how to choreograph winning routines.
I am curious who will win. I think Kelly is out of contention. I don't know if people will be angry with Shawn and Derek's first routine. And I don't know if people will think Melissa's freestyle was enough. I think it will be a close call.

I've got Barry Lyndon on my Kindle as well but haven't read it yet. Having glanced through it, it seems as though a lot of the dialogue in the film is almost word for word as in the novel.

Love Anna Karenina. Perhaps one of my top 10 novels of all time.
I want to like Thackeray, but, well, he seems to keep getting in the way of enjoying his work.
-
I started work on the minutes for the conference earlier this month. Unusually early for me. But when they are done, I have no more responsibilities there, as I have served the maximum amount of time on the board.

Tuesday morning greetings! Richard has his second post-op appointment today to have his stitches removed. We'll probably go to First Watch for lunch and then visit my mother to wish her a happy 94th birthday.

DR Elmore, I've tried AK twice - once in college and again with Oprah. I got further the second time, but have never finished it.
-
I have all these "classics" on my e-reader (including Anna and Vanity Fair and Barry Lyndon) waiting to be read and as I start some of them I realize why I never read or finished them in the first place. But at least the 660 books are not in the apartment so if I don't want them I can easily get rid of them.
-
TOD:
That's a tough call, primarily because most of the people worth writing about have already been written about.

Greetings from Toyland!
The fridge is stocked with water and I am having some breakfast.

Tuesday.....
Well I would like to write a REAL biography of Frances Farmer. I wrote an internet biography of Allison Hayes that still gets lots of views....it is linked on her IMDB page - and every article about her on the net since then has included information from my bio....sometimes word for word....so that's probably all the farther I will get on that. She started a book shortly before her demise, but the manuscript was not among her mother's effects when she passed nine months later....so it's probably lost.
-
I am working on a play about Frances....so that's a start.
-
Interesting discussion yesterday.
AND the Christmas Kritzerland show sounds marvy!
-
DR TCB - I have never been in a production of SHE LOVES ME....I keep suggesting the show, but nobody seems to care. At my age, Maracek is probably the only role there for me. I always wanted to do it and have my friend Ernie play the role.....but since his passing, my enthusiasm has waned somewhat.
-
MR BK I think you should definitely go see LES MIZ on your birthday so that you can give us the naked unvarnished truth about the project.
-

I'll drink to that! While I doubt it will be the world's greatest movie musical, I like the preview and I'm curious to see it. I may do that on Christmas Day.

You should do it, Jack! You'd be funny and charming.

I hate the amazon address book. I sent a gift to a friend in Dublin, and Amazon made that new address my official shipping address. So, I caught that error before anything erlse was shipped there, except I must have grabbed my mailing address at the Foundation office, since I see that at least four ordersare coming to me here rather than at home. I've caught that now, and this is all because I entered a new address bookto send a gift!
To quote BK last night: SHIT.

Sounds like something I would like to read when it's finished.

I am currently re-visiting Basil Rathbone as a subject for a one-person play.
I recently did interviews with all three of his grandchildren.
-
I'm awake.
That's all.

Time will tell DR DRUXY....it is slow going right now.

Well DR ELMORE - I am hoping to play The Man In the Chair in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE this August....we shall see what happens.

Since I wasn't cast in the HHW remake of LIZ & DICK, my schedule is pretty open.

1. The elderly neighbor is sitting on the porch with her son.

Matthew, since "A Christmas Carol" was written so that it could be performed up to five times a day at Madison Square Garden, do you think that they could go back and add some more of the original story to make it a little more coherent? As much as I found fault with elements of the TV version, I thought the script was a little better developed.

Is this all that you have to worry you? If so, be extremely HAPPY!
No one is angry about Derek's dance. He is, after all, the best male dancer on the show and has been for many years. Look for Derek and Shawn to win. And don't sweat the gymnasts...it was, after all, the producers' decision to make.
-
Since I wasn't cast in the HHW remake of LIZ & DICK, my schedule is pretty open.
What part did you get?

I'm up - for an entire week now I have not been able to fall asleep until between two and three in the morning. So, it's not like I'm sleeping late and getting more than eight hours. Weird.

It's not pleasant outside and I swear I am getting sicker. I am heading to the market.

Thanks for the updates DR LAURA.
Hope everything is going well for DR GINNY and RICHARD.....

It is now official, after weeks of weird behind-the-scenes checks and delays, I have been offered a permanent job doing the job that I've been doing as a contractor for the past 18 months. Pay is really fine and the benefits are extraordinarily fine.
After three years without stable, permanent employment, it feels nice. It's rather dizzying and humbling at the same time.
I start on Dec. 3.
-
Wonderful news! An early Christmas present.

That's wonderful news, John G. Congratulations!

Thank you, Ben and Laura.

I just listened to Sandy Bainum's (aka The East Coast Singer) new holiday CD, THIS CHRISTMAS. What a delight! From first note to last, this is a tuneful and terrific mix for The Season. I loved 'This Christmas,' a worthy addition to the ranks of other favorite holiday songs. A+ all the way.

A wall mount kitchen sink? I guess I can't picture it.

Back home after having drinks with friends in a bar. On the way back I called in at a smart new fish restaurant for some takeaway fish and chips, shown below :)

You forgot an important word
"wall mount kitchen sink faucet"
The faucet is not part of the sink, it's mounted on the wall above the sink. Remember, I live in an old building.

Happy Tuesday, all.
Gosh, but time is flying! I have this week and next and my work for 2012 is done. Off for four weeks, another trip to South Carolina and back again to start a new year.
Yoiks!
Ron, do you have any idea yet how much longer you will work before you retire?

Ron, do you have any idea yet how much longer you will work before you retire?
If all works out, I'll retire March 31, 2014. I will be nearly 7 months past my 66th birthday and fully eligible for social security. My time with the county will be 17 years. All that is added to my military retirement.
Life will be good then.

Meanwhile...
....when I got home last night I was restless and out of sorts...and it occurred to me that I was disgruntled.
I woke up disgruntled, as well, only not "as" disgruntled.
As this day has progressed, my disgruntlement has waxed and waned.
I'm not sure, but I think it's the pressure of all I feel I need to do between now and two weeks from now when I fly back to SC.
I'm telling you, there's stress involved! And disgruntlement.
-
I received the Judi Dench "Cabaret" over the weekend, but have not yet listened to it.
-
Yay for John G!
-
I can never retire - I just have to die at some point, but I can never retire and I'm not all that sure I'd want to.
-
Does ths mean you can afford to buy a copy of EILEEN now?
Truth be told, Elmore. I bought it last night.
And thanks.

Thank you, JRand, ChasSmith and BK.
As for retirement, what's that? I'm just starting.

What a wacky day so far. Fed Ex showed up to pick up the Nudie print - he took one look at the box and said no. I didn't have any other boxes the film cans would fit in, so he left a waybill and told me he'd be back after lunch. I immediately went to the UPS Store and for eight bucks they boxed it up beautifully and securely. And while I was there they were putting out the mail and my replacement debit card was there. Thank heaven! Came home, had a wonderful rehearsal with Damon Kirsche, then began changing all the auto pay sites. As fate would have it, the AT&T charge was made today so that will probably fail and I'll have to make that payment over the phone as the auto pay with the new card won't kick in till next month. But I got it changed everywhere else except Public Storage - I called their number to do it over the phone (the local one) and they say that you're talking to somewhere in the mid-west. So, I'll walk over there in a bit and change it in person.

T.O.D.
Jonathan "Jack" Gregory (1903 - 1929). Known in all the New York speakeasies as "Wacky Jacky" for his flamboyant antics. He was killed on October 29, when a little-known stockbroker jumped to his death on Black Tuesday and landed on Wacky Jacky, who was passing by on the street below.

Well DR ELMORE - I am hoping to play The Man In the Chair in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE this August....we shall see what happens.
You'd be great in that, Jack! Good luck!!
I'd love to play that role, also.
-
It is now official, after weeks of weird behind-the-scenes checks and delays, I have been offered a permanent job doing the job that I've been doing as a contractor for the past 18 months. Pay is really fine and the benefits are extraordinarily fine.
After three years without stable, permanent employment, it feels nice. It's rather dizzying and humbling at the same time.
I start on Dec. 3.
CONGRATULATIONS DR JOHN G.!! ;D ;D ;D

I, too, listened to Sandy's recording today. I really loved it. My colleague Curtis arrrived at the office just as Sandy began her duet with Euan Morton. Curtis worked with him on INTO THE WOODS a couple of years ago for, I think, the Kansas City Rep. Oh, the stories!
-
Back home after having drinks with friends in a bar. On the way back I called in at a smart new fish restaurant for some takeaway fish and chips, shown below :)
Them looks mighty fine. I broke down last week and had fried clams strips and fries. Heaven.
-
Thanks, George.
-
I just listened to Sandy Bainum's (aka The East Coast Singer) new holiday CD, THIS CHRISTMAS. What a delight! From first note to last, this is a tuneful and terrific mix for The Season. I loved 'This Christmas,' a worthy addition to the ranks of other favorite holiday songs. A+ all the way.
I've listened to it several times over the last week or so. I haven't gotten tired of it. :D
I brought it to my parents' house on Thanksgiving, but there was so much conversation that it wasn't really heard. It'll definitely be brought over again when it gets closer to Christmas.
I also have to say that I love the packaging. I don't usually like the digi-paks because they can get finger prints all over them and scratched much too easily, but the non-shiny (matte) versions look so much better, even if they're scratched.
-
Does ths mean you can afford to buy a copy of EILEEN now?
Truth be told, Elmore. I bought it last night.
And thanks.
I hope you enjoy it!
I am really happy for your steady employment.
-
I don't know about Ron but I have about 7 1/2 more years before I can retire
24 (officially) down, 21 more. :P
-
Time will tell DR DRUXY....it is slow going right now.
Welcome to the "slow going" writers' club.
-
Those fish and chips look just fine. I could use those right about now.
Whatever happened to Arthur Treacher's? I know the brand still exists, but apparently nowhere I frequent.
-
Hope nobody minds but I'm passing along the lovely comments about Sandy's CD to Sandy - she loves reading them. I, of course, think the CD is SHIT or at least my song is SHIT :)
-
Where's Pogue when you need him? He hasn't even responded to me playing Miss Taylor and he Mr. Burton. And that marks him SHIT in my book (Chapter Three - I Mark Pogue as SHIT)
-
Waiting to have a telephonic conversation with the East Coast Singer to discuss her personal blocking for her show.
-

I don't know where they are. Not down here. I bought the clam strips at an A&W with a root beer on the side.
-
BK, I know it's a day early, but did you say you were getting Sandy's album on Amazon?
-
I started work on the minutes for the conference earlier this month. Unusually early for me. But when they are done, I have no more responsibilities there, as I have served the maximum amount of time on the board.
Congratulations on your upcoming freedom, Laura.
Thank you, TCB. I have enjoyed the seven years I have served. But I think it is time to take a break.
-
We are back from a very full day. Richard's appointment went fine - his stitches have been removed and he can now take a shower without the plastic hip boot that kept his foot dry. We learned how to bandage his foot and made another appointment for 3 weeks from today.
-
After lunch at First Watch, we made a bakery stop at Panera for whole wheat bread for us and a couple of birthday pastries for Mom. We delivered her birthday presents and helped her with some of her Christmas decorations. Made a couple of shopping stops and now we're in for the evening.
-
Great to see DR Jane, who is probably fast asleep now.
-
Good news from DR Laura about her friends and about the conclusion of her 7-year board commitment.
-
Fabulous news from DR John G! I was hoping that was the secret. Isn't it fun sweating out whether or not you're going to be offered the job you're already doing?
-
We have the replacement faucet for the kitchen sink. Now I need to call the super so he can install/replace it.
-
My apartment smells fabulous! The beef, bay leaf, onion, tomatoes, cabbage and cauliflower are brewing up a delicious stock. Tomorrow I'll add the potatoes and carrots, then throw in the celery, more onion, green beans, lima beans, and corn. I should have by late tomorrow evening four pots of soup cooking away. I'll keep one and freeze the rest.
Now, what am I doing about dinner?
-
And I just spoke to Niall O'Sullivan, one of our trumpeters on EILEEN and DEAREST ENEMY. I hope to meet up with him tomorrow as well.
-
BK, I know it's a day early, but did you say you were getting Sandy's album on Amazon?
I haven't quite decided if WE'RE putting it up (I hate the way they do their business in terms of us, with them taking 60%) but I think it will end up there via CD Baby or something - I've never given CD Baby that option before but have now.
-
I just listened to the CD for my fourth or fifth time, and it just keeps getting better. And by the way, the pictures in the booklet and the album itself are great fun as well.
She isn't doing a show in NYC, is she? Just in DC?
-
Not that I care about any of that SHIT. :o
-
She is doing the Metropolitan Room - I think it's December 17th - I was supposed to come in but am not sure I will. I'm sure the show will be SHIT so why should I? :)
-
Pogue is probably cowering under his covers since I posted that I didn't think he'd be happy if he slaved over something and then asked me my opinion (or not) and I told him it was utter SHIT. Or not. :)
-
I think I'm done with my work o' the day. May write some tonight, but it's been a rather full day. No renewed driver's license today.
-
Crap. I mean SHIT. I've got conflicts on the 14th, and the 16th through 19th. Figured that might happen.
-
We are back from a very full day. Richard's appointment went fine - his stitches have been removed and he can now take a shower without the plastic hip boot that kept his foot dry. We learned how to bandage his foot and made another appointment for 3 weeks from today.
Great news, Ginny!
-
BTW, very happy to hear BK is already on another book. I know I've still got some mysteries and other good stuff to look forward to, which is a good thing.
Oy! Just checked. I'm five down, but with seven to go.
-
Congrats, dr JohnG!!!
-
I'm flogging myself now as I totally forgot to buy the "Eileen" disk.
Done.
-
So, today I played/sang a funeral. Nothing really new for me, it's part of what I do. Anyhow, the family wanted "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" Israel IZ version. I originally said that while I can play the ukelele, I'm not sure I could pull it together with such short notice. But I did, and it was great. Not shit, but great. They also requested "You Are So Beautiful" and "My Sweet Lord", both of which are slam dunk - I sang them on site first time - pieces.
-
DR Matthew, I once attended a funeral where the hymn was "My Dog Thinks I'm Elvis."
-
Well, now we know why the license hasn't arrived - STUPIDITY! The gal who renewed and gave me my temporary and then processed neglected to put the eye test results into the computer and therefore they can't issue until I go BACK and take the eye test again. And if I hadn't called today no one would have ever told me this. I'd be waiting until the 12th of Never. Apologies were offered but they could not get me an appointment at the regular place I go until December 7th, a day in which I'm filming all morning. So, I have to trek up to Arleta's DMV this Thursday at one-forty - she assured me that I'll have the license within two to three weeks after that. Of course, mine expires on December 8 and I certainly won't have it before then, but I have the interim thing she gave me. And that's the folly of it - she could not have issued me the interim without having approved the eye test.

Don't you have any high school kids in the area who would be interested in earning a few bucks towards buying Christmas presents?
Excellent idea.
-
Fabulous news from DR John G! I was hoping that was the secret. Isn't it fun sweating out whether or not you're going to be offered the job you're already doing?
Thank you. As for your question, well, it's probably best to say nothing.

Sounds like she needed a brain test.

That's probably a good reason. :)

The IZ man can be quite good. He could also be a bit self-indulgent. But that's a nice piece.

DR Doug I've never been a fan of the fish part of fish and chips. I'm guessing you like the new place since you shared the photo. I like my chips well cooked like those.
-
Great to see DR Jane, who is probably fast asleep now.
I'm not sure about the fast part but I did sleep some, rested a lot, and read some. Once up I ate, did laundry, and cleaned some.
-
BK, I know it's a day early, but did you say you were getting Sandy's album on Amazon?
I haven't quite decided if WE'RE putting it up (I hate the way they do their business in terms of us, with them taking 60%) but I think it will end up there via CD Baby or something - I've never given CD Baby that option before but have now.
I don't know what CD Baby is, so can we post reviews on it? I was listening to the beginning of the CD today on my way home after my book finished, And fell for a whole new set of the songs on this listen, especially "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." Love that arrangement and the sly, fun way Sandy sings it.
-
The doctor called a little while ago to check up on me. He likes to talk to his patients when they aren't groggy so he knows they remember what he says. :)
He told me not to lose any sleep over the extremely little polyp & I said I hadn't planned to. If the biopsy is good, as we expect it to be, he said I don't have to repeat this for 5 years. If they don't make a better tasting prep by then he will give me special permission to use Miralx which he finds doesn't always work well but supposedly is more tolerable.
-
I think my telling him I cried while drinking the prep made him feel bad for me ;D

My thoughts about the secret.

FEEL BETTER!!!!

Well, I'm off to rehearsal. Bruce, the composer, told me last night that he was going to work on the sound cues today, so hopefully it'll all be ready tonight.
Be back later!

I also listened to Sandy's CD today. I enjoyed it very much, especially the duets!
-
So, tonight's telephone solicitor was from an agency that was collecting money from Christians to help the Jewish people of Staten Island. They need $100,000 to give out 30 generators.
There was just something so wrong with her prepared speech.

Sandy is appearing at the Signature Theatre next Monday. I reserved a ticket. Looking forward to seeing her!

Congratulations, John G!

Sadly, the show is not widely known or loved outside of theater circles, but boy do audiences fall in love with it when they see it.
I love the cd!
-
Congrats DR JohnG!
-
I went to see Breaking Dawn Part 2. I had heard that they changed something from the book. Very interesting development! I enjoyed it.

DR Jane, Lisa Gardner's new book that comes out in February is up on netgalley. I am really crossing my fingers i get approved for this one.
-
Congratulations, John G!
Thank you, KevinH.
You're off to see Sandy. I'm going to see Brent B in Peter Pan next week.
-
Congrats DR JohnG!
Thank you, Jennifer. It still feels slightly unreal. I guess it won't when I under four days of orientation next week.
-
Congratulations, John G!
Thank you, KevinH.

Believe it or not, I've been thinking of going to San Antonio to see BB too. I have a voucher on Delta that would cover the airfare. I hear San Antonio is an interesting place.

That reminds me, I still need to read CATCH ME. It still isn't available at my library as an eBook, guess I'll buy it.

'night

Sleep well, DR Jane!

'night!

Since I wasn't cast in the HHW remake of LIZ & DICK, my schedule is pretty open.
What part did you get?
Part of the audience.
And you will do it splendidly!
-
Yea I am home. I did not manage to finish the drink but it was ok so I made the right decision to stop when I did.
I'm glad you made it through the procedure, at least for a few years.

The eye test results have to be entered into the computer or they don't exist. The woman on the phone understood I had my interim but they can't process the final without me retaking the test.

The Mall on Long Island was mobbed on Friday but one day later it was easily navigable. We were going to go to Barnes & Noble on Friday but the line of cars to get in the Mall was daunting so we passed. Instead we went to Home Depot, Best Buy and Target (where I purchased my new phone). We should have bought the wall mount kitchen sink faucet at HD on LI because they don't have it in stock in the city. We don't need to replace it immediately but we need to get a new one. The super will install it when we get it and he will also fix the toilet.
A wall mount kitchen sink? I guess I can't picture it.
You forgot an important word
"wall mount kitchen sink faucet"
The faucet is not part of the sink, it's mounted on the wall above the sink. Remember, I live in an old building.
I never said I could read very well.
-
Done! Now I have to have about ten people proofread it so we can be sure to find all the errors.
-
Hope nobody minds but I'm passing along the lovely comments about Sandy's CD to Sandy - she loves reading them. I, of course, think the CD is SHIT or at least my song is SHIT :)
Please do, I was going to ask you if she was on FaceBook because I wanted to tell her how much I enjoyed it.

Keeping my head above water. That's the title of my new book.

First viewing of "Magoo's Christmas Carol" of the season tonight. "Winter Was Warm." And "Razzleberry Dressing." Great stuff.

Pogue is probably cowering under his covers since I posted that I didn't think he'd be happy if he slaved over something and then asked me my opinion (or not) and I told him it was utter SHIT. Or not. :)
Big boobs or not, I still think Pogue is sweating the love scenes.

Finished with my viewing. I'm so annoyed about the DMV thing - such a waste of my time and I'm supposed to go see the first cut of episode three that day. Really irritating.

DWS SPOILER
DR Jennifer, Mom and I were cheering for Derek and Shawn and were quite surprise that they didn't win. Mom really doesn't like Tony so she wasn't pleased and said it ruined her night, lol. I thought it was fun to see how excited they all were. And now they all three have a mirror ball.
-
Today was another insane day at work. Had a deadline and just got it filed about an hour ago. So I was writing and watching dancing at the same time.
-
Congrats on the job John G

Hello, everyone.
A BIG CONGRATS TO DR JOHN G!!
May you continue to be very happy there!

Glad to see that DR Jane survived her procedure and had good results.

I keep getting bumped off the Internet, so it'll be hi and bye from me.
