TOD:
The Lady Eve
Fail-Safe
Big Hand for the Little Lady
in addition to some of the other titles already mentioned.
And the word of the day is: EURYTOPIC!
DR DougR can you give the amazon buyer a bad rating because he is an idiot. Or had you already rated him?Or can you at least put an explanation under his rating.
I loved Drood. I saw it a couple of months ago and it's it's extremely well done. It's great fun.
Priscilla, I think you should be able to get a ticket for Once the day of the show. It's doing well but in the Winter doldrums there should be tickets available. Elmore and I agree, this is a moving, beautiful and all around gorgeous show. I love it.
Yes, Vix, I think Vixter would enjoy Once.
DR CILLA LIZ - I LOVE the Museum of the City of New York and 103rd & 5th.....it looks like they have an exhibition right now about the World's Fair of 1939......and they have lots of neat stuff to see. Nice if you're not all about ART museums....
http://www.mcny.org/visit-the-museum/
And since you're going up 5th Avenue anyway.....you might as well stop by the Guggenheim....which is MY favorite Art Museum in the city.
They have Kandinsky and Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian House exhibits open right now....and a Gutai exhibit opens on February 15 that sounds great....

Toyland was a busy place today and I never got a moment to myself. Curtis was there, and we ran through the current status of ROBERTA scores, I proofread "Youre Devastating" and dealt with some dialogue over music in the ladies' trio arrangement of "The Touch of Your Hand."
It was the bus ride from hell getting home; too many nannies, moommies and schoolkids. My theory of child care? Kids in comas cause no problems.
As promised, here's a little advance notice for the new Kritzerland release, which I'm expecting to sell out somewhat quickly because of the iconic nature of the film itself, the theme, and the concurrent release of the film on Blu and Ray. It goes live at Kritzerland in the morning, but for those who want to get the order in before that - it's 23.73 (shipping included) via paypal directly to kritzerland at adelphia dot net.
Kritzerland is proud to present a new limited edition soundtrack release to one of the most beloved classics ever:
LAURA
Music Composed by David Raksin....

Late career Frank Sinatra makes me cringe.
I'm up and have been up since eight-thirty. I've killed another twenty of these suckers. they seem to come in waves - none during the evening hours at all. I've written about ten e-mails to the business manager, scheduled an appointment for an inspection tomorrow with an orange spray company, and asked the business manager to schedule an appointment with a regular termite company. If I haven't heard from the business manager by eleven, I'll just get him on the phone.
I'll start the day with a moan. I sold a DVD on Amazon Marketplace. The buyer complained that the slipcase wasn't included. In the item description I had detailed the contents precisely; two discs, booklet, lobby cards. I explained that as far as I know the DVD was never issued with a slipcase. He then gave me a poor feedback rating because in his words "it didn't come with a slipcase" although he added he "wasn't sure whether it should have had one" but otherwise "it was in very good condition". Some of these people (especially slipcase obsessives) are unbelievable.
Love the pressure cooker card, MBarnum.
Yup. It was merely crude, and on so many levels.Late career Frank Sinatra makes me cringe.
Exactly my feelings.
It's too bad you can post a reply. Or perhaps we could post replies correcting the misconception? Or is that ethical?I'll start the day with a moan. I sold a DVD on Amazon Marketplace. What a dolt! What a maroon! :P

The dolphins were surprisingly MIA Saturday morning when we went out on our birding boat tour. Usually we see both birds and boats. This is an image our tour guide posted of what she saw today in the same waters:

And here I thought I was the only one.

I think it's actually the moommies that cause all the problems.
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
I am still awaiting my message from Papa John with the code for my free pizza that I won for choosing HEADS in the coin toss at the SuperBowl yesterday.....they say we will receive said code by midnight PST tonight......
Yes, it's a shame Doug R can't report that kind of thing to amazon so they can remove it.
In accordance with HHW tradition: I did 5 loads of laundry today!
In accordance with HHW tradition: I did 5 loads of laundry today!
I actually did three loads of laundry last night...my blankets and sheets and pillow cases. I still have one more to do tonight. I also had to sew up the edges of my two blankets, which took a while. I bought a little battery-powered, hand-held sewing machine that actually worked fairly well.
DR Jane--to answer your question from yesterday: I understand there are 51 people going to my nephew's wedding/cruise.

Can you sew a button on a shirt?
DR Ben, as always it was delightful to hear your voice.

Nice!!!!! It sounds like it will be loads of fun.
DR Ben, as always it was delightful to hear your voice.Just listened to Ben! You sounded great. I'm sure Beverley would love to see you again--maybe you and Anthony should go to the UK for your trip this year!

Wedding cruises seem to be the thing to do as I'm going on one in July!

Oh, believe me, it's high on the list. I would be able to see Beverley in Wales again and my cousins in Sheffield and friends in London and Nottingham and Middlesbrough. I'm looking into flights now and also I'm looking into the train situation because we need to get to and from all these places. Our friend in Nottingham has a house and she said we could stay at her place and use it as a base and travel to our various destinations. It's going to take some research to figure it all out.

We wouldn't be going on a wedding cruise but a cruise was also one of the options for the big trip. A 10-day Caribbean cruise in December around Christmas time.
A floating destination wedding. I doubt I would complain. That isn't really true, it would depend where we went.
Two nieces now have had weddings where everyone is at the same hotel/resort. It makes for a very friendly atmosphere and more time spent with my family.

Wonder if they will cut out the lame jokes the presenters are forced to say.
Yes, it's quite amazing to have found Richard III!!!
The problem with weddings out of the country is you need to get married in the US first. My niece was legally married before they left. My nephew did get an official licence to marry them. It was free online. Since they had the wedding in Mexico his official title is Padre.I wonder if the same thing is true for Canadians (that you have to get married in your own country first). My sister is going to a wedding out of the country in four months.
