The Kritzerland YouTubes are a wonderful appetizer, and I think we all look forward to wolfing down a main course one of these days.

I knew the Staitman gals were going to be good, but seeing and believing are always so much more fun than just knowing!

I wonder if Mom Staitman has the pictures she snapped of all of us at the Smoke House.  But I usually hate pictures of myself so maybe I should let sleeping dogs lie.    :).    :o

That's definitely an interesting article on SMASH that DR Ben posted yesterday. I haven't had a chance to watch the season premiere yet.  But I still like the show. I love getting to see musical theatre performers on tv every week. I love getting to see new musical numbers performed on tv every week.

Greetings from Toyland! This morning I am feeling particularly stupid, DRs, and I'm sure my critics on this site are thinking THIS MORNING??

Since it can take as long as 45 minutes to reach my East 22nd Street doctor, I allowed myself plenty of time to be at the office by 8:45. All connections were good this morning and I walked into the office at 8:15, only to learn that I'd written my appointment incorrectly and it was at 9:45. I could have slept an extra hour! So, I asked the receptionist to reschedule me - I'm now on Feb. 26 at 10:00am - and I walked to Toyland.

I feel especially dull this morning.

Last night I watched GHOST OF THE CHINA SEA (1958), a nifty little B film from Columbia Studios.

I had long wanted to see this film as it was one of the few leading lady roles my interviewee Lynn Bernay had....and it costars a favorite of mine, Jonathan Haze.

I was not expecting much from the film, but was very surprised at how enjoyable it was...and Lynn, who was usually a dancer in films, did an excellent job in her lead role.

The film just released this week on, I think it was, Sony MOD.

I am home, following the bus ride from hell: the bus at at 37th Streetfor a good 10 minutes while the driver fought with a lady who would not - or could not - fold up her double stroller. They're supposed to fold up on trains and buses. Then, around 53rd Street or so we had an a;tercation between a bitchy old lady and the driver who said to her "you can't tell a 5from a 7," which set her off and we hadanother delay while they fought. Then, when the old bat took her seat and the bus moved again, an old - not me - started bitching out theold lady for causing problems. Add to that really impossible traffic on Sixth Avenue, it was a ride to cherish.

I had another wretched night of little sleep.  I think I finally got four or five hours at around four, until the phone rang at eight-thirty.  Same culprit - scratchy throat.  Too soon to tell what's what this morning, but I'm very congested - I do think it's moved out of my throat, though, so that's good.

FORTUNATELY, Linda, our supplies person here at work, actually had a couple of keys that fit the locks exactly and I was able to open them!  She is VERY kind enough to let me borrow them until I can either find the one I lost misplaced, or get copies made of the borrowed keys.  It's a pretty generic key, so I shouldn't have any trouble getting a copy made, or possibly even just being able to buy this exact key from someplace

When I saw the Show Boat tour, Cloris was touring with Dean Jones as Cap'n Andy and Michel Bell was still on hand to sing "Ol' Man River." Loved every minute of it, but I did see a lot of people get antsy. I just got caught up in that story and the music, more so than any of the overlong Brit shows.

Today's post brought me a check, 2 CDs, a book, and a DVD. It didn't arrive until 5:45! It's no wonder the asses running the postal system are in financial trouble. The overtime paid out must be grisly.

Looks like another officer died today -- wounded in a gun battle today as the guy was barricading himself.

I'm going to go watch the show I recorded last night.  I prefer watching that way so I can skip the dogs I'm not interested in which cuts my viewing time in half.

Try to sleep with your head as high as possible (as many pillows as you can stand). I find it helps a lot when I am congested.

Well, I must be off now to see if I can buy a new key for the tills.  Fortunately, they both take the same key.  Whether I find a key tonight or not, I have to be at the Theater Artists Olympia board meeting at 7:30.  It should only last an hour or so.  We usually hang out for a while afterward, chatting and visiting.  That'll be my evening until I go home and watch TV.

Be back later.

Whew.  I thought that you wrote Michael Ball sang "Ol' Man River."

Yes, my sister and brother-in-law.  They are going to have at least six hours of time to kill.

They aren't expecting to find a fix.  They are just taking contributions for a new wing on the medical school.
