Well, you've read the notes, the notes had that swing and they meant that thing, and now it is time for you to post until the swingin' cows come home.

And the word of the day is: SPOONERISM!
-
Well, I totally missed today's postings (Monday) as the new notes are up before 11:00pm
-
Today, we went to Santa Cruz and hung out and did some walking, shopping, dining, video game playing and sparkling conversation. I went with my friend and her husband and my flame from the past. The flame and i had dinner afterwards, also. It was a very happy day

Morning all.
That is all.

It's very foggy today. In fact I've not seen it this foggy for years.
Off to work now after having been truant yesterday.

Good morning, all! I slept quite poorly last night and I'm trying to cut down on the drugs because they only make things worse in the following morning.
This morning I head down to City Center to commence work on the last pre-production round of SUPERMAN scores. It will be fun to see Joshie, hear how DONNYBROOK is going, and catch up on gossip.

Tuesday and none of the predicted snow is here. That is a good thing. AND two annoying contestants on RuPaul's Drag Race were sent home in a surprise double elimination.....
The IMDB results are "weighted" and they way they calculate them is supposed to keep what has happened from....uh....happening.....but exactly the way they do it will not be disclosed, according to their FAQ page....whatever that means.
But it certainly has been much more peaceful around here without her......

Looking over his filmography, I know I've seen several other important ones, but too long ago to remember and rate. I recently got SAINT JOAN so will watch that sometime soon. I do not know the two BK watched.

I just sent off an mp3 file of another possible Aunt Minnie to Dublin. Yesterday, I listened to every recording of ROBERTA in my collection: Kitty Carlisle, Portia Nelson, June Bronhill, Lucille Norman, and Marian Bell, and all of the singers playing the Aunt Minnie role sing the song on a key higher than the original. Perhaps this is why the Man from Philadelpha keeps suggesting sopranos for a bass role?

I think today I may go buy the new ANNA KARENINA BluRay.

I hope you find someone DR ELMORE.....I would hate to have to play Aunt Minnie.

Hi DR SAM!

Actually, every damned one of his films looks famous or important in some way or other. A director to ketchup on, methinks.

Hmmmmmmm according to my Facebook - Miss Jackie hasn't responded since I put the Kritzerland link up....maybe she will see it today.
She writes a column for her local Toluca Lake newspaper....so I am sure she would talk about the show after she sees it. You can't get enough good publicity in Toluca Lake....that's for sure.
If you make it there....you'll make it anywhere.....as they say....

Does anyone have a membership in one of those sites that give cell phone numbers. My mom has been trying to call my aunt in Florida since Saturday and there is no answer....and she doesn't respond to messages. We know her neighbor's name.....but her land line is no longer in service....so I figure she must have gotten a cell phone.

Tuesday morning greetings! It's very gloomy here and our power must have been out for a while during the night. The clock on our stove is several hours behind and the one on the microwave is blinking. Must have been the high winds...

My aunt is in the hospital for surgery and will be home tomorrow. The sheriff's office (who I am sure have that site) were able to get a phone number for my nephew and called him.

Something is really weird about IMDb. On my smartphone this morning, the number of ratings has increased from 11 to 15. On my computer's browser it's still at 11, and I've refreshed the HELL out of it.
However, a little rating addition I made in the user reviews section IS reflected on the computer, so.....I really don't get it.
EDIT: But on another browser which I never use, it shows 15 votes. Okay. I give up. :)

There wasn't a "Christmas" episode for season 3. Just the one where they go to Scotland.

They kept calling it the "Christmas" Special because in England it was shown on Christmas evening and half the country was up in arms saying things like "You've Ruined My Christmas"!!!

DR Vixmom that's great about your car getting cleaned as well as fixed. :)

I'm glad we watched Downton last night or by now I would have known what happened. Not having read any news stories prior to the show or after I was surprised. Keith unfortunately read a headline yesterday that told him. Really annoying was after the headline it said spoiler alert, don't read any farther if you don't want to know. He kindly deleted all Downton news from our homepage before I saw it.

About 1:15 at City Center, I crashedand asked Joshie if he minded if I went home. He didn't. I did.

I had read a profile of a member of the cast about four months ago that had me primed for what the secret was. But in the past week, I've seen too many Facebook postings revealing information and too many headlines from news agencies such as USA Today and Huffington Post that also gave away too much.

Probably from a "People Connected to This Person...." site that law enforcement agencies can have.....otherwise I don't know how else they would know to call him. They don't have the same last name.

Had a wonderfully busy 3 day weekend.
Sunday I went to a baby shower type of thing for my former neighbor and his wife who presented their 5 week old baby for all to see. Baby was so cute!
Lots of Indians from India at the event, and I now have a tentative lunch date with a burly Sikh named Sukh.

What I have to do is download the parts as .mp4 files, convert them to .mpg files, burn those to a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, play that on a DVD player hooked to my DVD burner and that records them onto a DVD. Of course, the original files are low quality, and so is the final DVD, but it can be done.

DR MBARNUM Format Factory is a free application that I have used for years. It converts photos and videos and music files to from just about any format to just about any other format. It doesn't work with DOCUMENTS. But it is virus free and has never caused me any problems, nor have I gotten any emails from them. It does update now and then, but you don't have to do that if you don't want to. And it's small.

I think I might be the only one that finds the score to that movie cheesy and kinda bad, except the title song. But I can't wait to hear "Do you have a piano" without having to watch the DVD. Which I do own. (all judgements can begin now)

Back from a wonderful and fun lunch at Langer's - had a pastrami sandwich, two latkes, and one tiny piece of kishka. Only the latter disappoints at Langer's - the kishka is much better at Nate 'n' Al's. But the pastrami and latkes - amazing.

Sunday I went to a baby shower type of thing for my former neighbor and his wife who presented their 5 week old baby for all to see. Baby was so cute!
Lots of Indians from India at the event, and I now have a tentative lunch date with a burly Sikh named Sukh.
Was this the "hotie" neighbor that used to live in the house across from you?

Supposedly, Tom Ellis, whom I've seen in a couple of BBC comedies, including the wonderful "Miranda" is one of the possible romantic partners for Lady Mary.

Does BBC stand for Bears and BeefCake?
Can't be...that's no bear, that's a twink.

I thought the Milford was still under renovations. I guess not. Or it may still be partially under renovations and they may be booking the rooms that are done which is why the rates are so low.
Sorry, I can't join you, KH, at BB's 54 Under tomorrow.

Larry, I'm glad you were able to use the application(s) to download!

I have problems with the chemicals, dust, etc during reservations. I am not a happy camper when I stay at a hotel and they haven't mentioned they are renovating.
During one of our first trips to Portland after Bryan moved there we stayed at a hotel near the water. We had to pass the pool to get to our room and the chlorine was so overwhelming I had trouble breathing. Fortunately our room was ok but to get there I had to cover my face and hold my breath. When Keith talked to the desk about my problem they didn't care & weren't about to move us.

I'm going to have to check out those programs...the way I do it now is just much too cumbersome.

DR ELMORE.....the only ones I could find are membership only and it costs $14.95 per search......
My aunt is in the hospital for surgery and will be home tomorrow. The sheriff's office (who I am sure have that site) were able to get a phone number for my nephew and called him.
I think that it is wonderful that the Sheriff was so willing and able to help

Those are specifically for Mac computers. I don't know if you have a Mac (I thought you had a Windows PC) but I know Larry does which is why I recommended them. They may have Windows versions of the programs, you'll have to delve further to find out.

The photo's for you, Mikey!
oh.
Can't the rest of us look at it as well?
-
I am also among the Downtown Abbey non-watchers. But, I feel that I am missing something quite entertaining, so I really need to check into it....
......just as soon as I am finished with season 2 of Mr. Ed and final season of Dennis the Menace.
;D
One must keep one's priorities in order

At least I was ok once we were in our room. I would have hated to have insisted they move us or get a refund and change hotels.

Keith wants to watch FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD tonight. No arguments here :)

I don't have a Mac, so maybe I'm stuck with the way I do things now...for now, at least. :-\

Hell must be freezing over. I agree with Nancy Grace on something
LOL!
Is she still alive? I thought her head exploded when Casey Anthony was acqutted.
Of course she is still alive. She has to star in OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL.

Back from rehearsal, which wasn't bad. Last one I have to play myself. (Yay!) (A lot of this score is a thankless task being played alone.)
Tomorrow night we have the band, and the main challenges will be how to set them up in an upstairs "pit" that makes my bathroom look spacious, and getting their volume under control. Small theater, and that's always a challenge. I think our musicians will handle it fine, but it takes a couple of nights to get it.

Pardon me while I sip a little of that stuff that's good for your bones.

Langer's.
KILLING ME.

Which version?

"Laura" arrived in the mail!
-
Went to see "Side Effects" tonight. Strange little movie. Quite enjoyable in many ways, especially the quirky performances of the lead. My friend Bonnie wanted to see the movie, only she didn't know that the plot hinges on anti-depressants. She started giving notes on the effects of certain drugs mentioned in the film. It was rather humorous, but it also exposed a key element of the movie.

Time to head home.
Until later!

Picked up my packages. It's been gray and kind of rainy all day.
We are supposed to get your rain tomorrow, so save some for us. We need it.
