And Wednesday. It is a Wednesday.
When I first saw MIDNIGHT LACE on Frances Farmer Presents - I thought Roddy McDowell was the culprit.....then I thought Herbert Marshall was the culprit.... For some reason, when I was eleven, I didn't think the leading man could be the bad guy. And then there was that mysterious boyfriend of the neighbor that we never saw but always wrote letters.....
A cousin sent this to me via e-mail, and I thought I'd share it (just in case someone needs a big case of the grins or a hearty chuckle):That was funny.

Van Cliburn has died...
A couple of popular film dancers just passed away, also.
John Brascia, who performed this wonderful number with Vera Ellen in WHITE CHRISTMAS

My goodness.....The Grim Reaper is busy.Let him or her keep busy somewhere else. Thank you.
Not feeling well. Had a chest cold working its way up to my throat. :(
From TCB, last night:QuoteActually, I saw Mr Gavin onstage in SEESAW (the musical) and he was really pretty good.
Really pretty good, or just really pretty?
Good morning, all! I am stayng in today. Before I headed out to the eye doctor yesterday, my stomach was behaving quite badly. The late afternoon and evening were worse, so I cancelled all plans today and decided to stay in. We'll see if what I had yesterday was a mild form of food poisoning or some virus floating about.
I will work on the ROBERTA libretto and have a liesurely, quiet day.
And today's good news: Diana Montague, one of England's leading singers, will play Aunt Minnie on the recording.

You know what's funny? Here's what's funny - I've never had a bagel in NY that I liked as much as the bagels I get here. Go know.

Yeow! Adriana indeed! Good for her.
But I just happened to skim down the article, and it says the principal initially advised her that he'll investigate, and to please DELETE THE VIDEO. :o :o
Interesting discussion in the notes about audio books. Do any DRs listen to them? I don't think I've ever listened to one before. I see a lot of avid readers on blogs who listen to them instead of reading the book. I think it might be interesting to take a book you like and then listen to the audio recording. But I would find it very weird to listen to the book instead of reading it and then review it. I mean if you review it totally as an audio book fine.

He was a great dancer. Not an actor. Could barely get through his few lines. But that Abraham number and Choreography are both wonderful displays of his dancing.

Well, hopefully, both. ;)
I have been in communication with Diana Montague and i love her. She's my new close peronal friend, and she's quite funny, asking sharp qustions about dialogue, dialiect, character. In one of her last messages, she said she could identify with the character's maternal, imperila and naighty sides, so I asked her if I had ever todl her I loved her. She sent back this message: Tee hee, get in line!

I have this fear of letting my mind wonder and losing my place. I would give on a try for a road trip if Keith were interested. I often find the library doesn't have an eBook but it does have an audio version to download.
FEEL BETTER AND COPING VIBES FOR DR RON!!
What are LA bagels like? Are they very doughy?
I watched NCIS last night - and Ducky (David McCallum) and his young assistant carried almost half the show. They are definitely better when they just have conversations here and there. The scenes with them seemed interminable.
Go for the easy read and save the anticipated book for when you feel better.
I really don't remember John Gavin in anything but Psycho and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
I got creative yesterday and put together this music video of a song I wrote back in the mid-1980s with Michael Silversher, who also does the vocal. Enjoy!

I can understand the criticism of Gavin, but I always found him a familiar, comfortable presence in spite of it.

That is what I am thinking. But I"m not sure if I can wait.
I actually forgot I have 5 books from the library (including the one I am dying to read).
And the word of the day is: ZAKUSKA!
I half laughed once and Keith didn't laugh at all during the last episode of MIKE & MOLLY.
DR elmore how are you feeling?
last night the wind and rain kept me up bust day and I am exhausted sorry
DR elmore how are you feeling?
Much better, thanks!

Crappy afternoon.
Yesterday morning, I woke up with a congested sensation in my throat. As the day wore on, the sense of an oncoming "chest cold" seemed ominous.
Last night, I had a nice hot bowl of homemade beef-vegetable soup and went to bed early (after taking some cold medicine).
This morning, I woke up feeling no worse than I did yesterday.
However, things have deteriorated and I'm feeling the cold settling in.
On top of all this, folks here in the office are dragging their feet on "rush" projects and quibbling over insignificant word choices/sentence structure...and then opting for the grammatically incorrect choices.
My last nerve is defying someone to step on it. I've let some folks know I may not be in tomorrow and if anything is left hanging they're just going to have to deal with it.

I don't recall complaining about his performances. I'll have to pay attention next time I watching something he was in.
It's not that I don't remember the other movies. It's that I don't remember him in them.I really don't remember John Gavin in anything but Psycho and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
And he was perfect casting in both.
A double dose.Crappy afternoon.

Health vibes that you feel better soon, Ron!
I've found Advil Cold & Sinus, and a hot shower (with water on my chest) and hot fluids seem to be helping a bit.

Lord, I wish this congestion and my endless throat hoarseness would go the HELL away - I am so bored of it. It makes me feel that I'm not quite better and it's been three damn weeks already. I'm still blowing out mucus, still have phlegm and I have a lot of talking to do on Saturday evening.
