Did a three-mile jog, went to Gelson's and got some melon balls and some diet hot dogs and buns for tomorrow. Throat is much less scratchy now, but chest feels a bit heavy and I'm clearing my throat too much - will try to stop doing that, but I just know if I can get ten to twelve hours of great sleep that will be the most helpful thing of all.
And the word of the day is: LYCEUM!
Continued vibes for MR BK....and good news about the rehearsal.
Yes, it has been MUCH TOO LONG since we heard from DR DtM.

DR Jrand62 - hope the replacement appliance is quickly forthcoming.
Purdy, ain't they?
It could be because William Daniels is on my list of actors who make me cringe.
...and I got an upgrade to the next model.

Lovely fireworks photos from DR Ryacko.
Yes, the NEW refrigerator will be delivered tomorrow....and I got an upgrade to the next model.
I am glad you got to watch TMM, DR SINGDAW....it is a most excellent movie. I am still trying to "get" 1776, the charms of it have always escaped me.

That's because he's obnoxious and disliked. Did you know that?
And, bk, these are low-cal:

A well-deserved rest, DR Vixmom! I hope it continues all day, and beyond!
The Vixter is such a super kid! :)

Since the TOD includes the best fireworks I've ever seen, I have a few favorite visuals of said displays: three photos that I took myself, during my travels.
They are not from a 4th of July celebration, but from the Syndey Olympics in 2000. I was working on the Crystal Harmony, and we were docked right in Sydney Harbor, between the Bridge and the Opera House. I had just bought my first digital camera the day before, and by some miracle, I got these shots without knowing what the hell I was doing with it.
We had the best view in the city from our top deck, and these were the fireworks that marked the end of the closing ceremonies. And though not from today's holiday, these are still some of the most amazing fireworks I have seen to date.

And she comes with added benefits now- last night the Vixfamily and the Vixboyfriend(!) went to the Roadhouse for dinner - 30% employee discount on the whole bill ! YEEEEEE HAAAAW!!!
Not a very exciting fourth for me. I did 5 loads of laundry and ordered photos from my trip online. I later picked them up at Walgreens. But.... I've really been enjoying watching the Tony Awards, commercial-free, on DVD--thanks to our own DR George!! Thanks again, George!
SlingDog, don't you trifle with us!
My modem conked out about five times yesterday. Each time, I would unplug the modem, let it sit for five minutes, and then I would plug it in again and it would be fine. It used to do this about once a month, so it was no big deal, but now i think the modem is on its last leg. Does a modem have more than one leg? I really dread calling Century Link tomorrow, because I know that there Bollywood Service Department is going to put me thru all of their paces trying to prove that they know more about these things than the consumers.

DO THEY HAVE JULY 4TH iN GREAT BRITAIN?
TOD: Probably 1978--my first year in the Washington area. I went to the Mall for the fireworks. I did that a few times, but not for many years.

TOD - We're going to three-peat my favorite fireworks experience tonight. Here in Normal the display is in the park adjacent to Laura's golf course, which is open for spectators. We'll drive carts out to the 16th green and have a great vantage point. We did this in 1999 and 2000 and are excited to be here this year.

I awoke at ten-fifteen but stayed in bed till now. I think I got a bit over nine hours of sleep and that is a good thing. Too soon to tell if I'm feeling my oats but the throat is definitely not scratchy - I just feel a bit thick in the throat and hopefully that will go away as the day progresses.
The Vixter is such a super kid! :)
Anthony was busy this morning. He weeded his parents garden. I took the picture then went to walk on the treadmill for an hour.

I guess if Dan-the-Man is posting on Facebook then he is alive and well. It is up to him if he wants to post here.

What is a deal$ store?
He is not posting much on his own profile, but he is actively commenting in some discussion groups, so I believe he is fine.
(http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a532/singdaw1/July4_zps57db550b.png)Someone made those for the party I went to tonight.
What's all this July 4th about? I've not seen anyone celebrating.
Yes, it has been MUCH TOO LONG since we heard from DR DtM.
For a while he was posting on Facebook, but i haven't noticed him there lately. I knew he was having problems about the work computer and other sites, but I have no idea these days where he is or what he's up to. I do miss him.

Twitter, discussion groups, but not here? Feh, I say.

Following brunch we walked through the 4th of July craft fair before returning to our car and home. Not an exciting 4th but at least we got out for awhile & brunch/lunch was nice.
Lots of noisy fireworks going off - I'm staying inside.
TCB just found out my nephew and his girlfriend are totally in to the Titanic. It was fun to talk with them about it today. I may send them a couple of my books
I missed it if you answered, have you read Eva Hart's book?
