Happy Anniversary to Kismet T. Dogge. One year ago today I adopted you from an animal rescue. Thank you for your companionship and your unconditional love.

Good Sunday vibes for DR ELMORE.
Today is rainy....yesterday was beautiful. Today we close the barn for the winter and have our last Board Meeting before our Annual Meeting.
We thought about doing MY FAIR LADY next season - however there is a professional touring company of the show coming through the area next spring - so it is restricted. We have to investigate other musicals.....

Nurse Jane stay healthy!
Those kinds of comments made me glad that I did the Gala. I was in a lot of pain by the time I left, but I felt like it was worth it.

How big is the ensemble? :)
Here's the recipe for the original margarita and it's still the best:
1 part tequila
1 part triple sec or orange liqueur
1 part freshly squeezed lime juice
Shake with ice. Pour into a margarita glass rimmed with extra salt (the extra salt is my choice). Squeeze a slice of orange or tangelo over the top. Garnish with lime and orange slice.
Jrand, I think the obvious answer is - The Brain from Planet X :) Fun show, I've heard.
Went to see The Wizard of Oz in 3D. I'm so glad I finally saw it on the big screen. What a perfect cast! I got a real kick out of Frank Morgan, more so than other times I've seen it.
Either that or ask Obama to close down all churches in the country.
One of the worst theatrical productions that I ever saw was a local production of "Little Shop of Horrors." The Seymour and the Orin (the dentist) were pretty good, and the three street urchins weren't too bad, but the Audrey couldn't stay in tune to save her life. The voice of Audrey II was a local politician who had actually had some vocal problems years before, so he didn't just not have a voice...he was totally wrong. During that run, they had a special Halloween performance where if you came in costume, you could get in for half price. A friend of mine was at that performance and he said that no one came in costume and they had all of 30 people in the audience. The theater was the main stage of the Washington Center for the Performing Arts which has 988 seats! 30 people!
That theater group didn't survive for very long.
I need to get ready to leave the island and return to reality.
A few snaps from the restoration-in-eternal-process Loew's Jersey, with apologies for my failure to capture the richer golds and other deeper colors, especially noticeable in the shots of the lobby. Unfortunately, because I love balconies, their balcony is closed to the public for now. Scroll down the page to see 'em all:

Glad to hear that DR TCB's speechifying was well received. I am sure he received generous applesauce.

The Seymour sang a half tone sharp the entire show and was, I suspect, close to forty and not nerdy in any way, shape or form.
Actually, when I was in Fort Wayne a few months ago for LOMBARD, I did try to turn the theater group onto BRAIN.
Unfortunately, they had just staged DROWSY CHAPERONE and it hadn't done well, so they were only interested in doing big name musicals in the future. They just opened their season with LE MIZ.
Sorry, but I did try.

I wonder if DR Ben and Anthony would like to visit OUR basement...
THE AMAZING RACE starts tonight.
Show wise we are leaning toward GUYS & DOLLS which we have done for about 13 years......
And it's hot again. And i'm cranky from the heat.
And have not wanted to do anything at all this weekend.
HEAT GO AWAY :P

I always think of Ventura as being cooler.
A quote from the radio just now.
"What's the use of happiness, it can't buy you money."

Then I would choose something else to do for the next thirteen, DR Jrand63... :)
The guy who does wiring for me came by to swap out a cord on the new blu and ray player - he also fixed the remote so that it wasn't turning on the OTHER Oppo player, which was really irritating. So, that's all fixed and he also got the Internet working on the new player so that I can do the firmware upgrades automatically (it already did one) and also I can now do Netflix, Vudu and tons of other stuff, not that I will. But one fun thing is I can now do You Tube on my TV.
Tonight is the premiere of THE AMAZING RACE, THE MENTALIST, and THE GOOD WIFE. Three of my favorites.
Happy 150th!

Cool! I just rolled over 149,000, so I'm getting close to that. :)

I did actually ending up getting some nice applesauce; although the program was not really keyed that way. When I got to the end of my speech / reminiscence, I announced, "That since I have finsihed talking about this old institution, now lets talk about the other old institution in town -- Sharry O"Hare. After the roar of laughter ended, we did a little of our usual banter, and then I asked her husband, Micheal, to wheel me up the aisle. At that point, the applesauce started. It was very nice.
Kismet bought us a wonderful gift for our first year together. 2013 Nissan Sentra SV. And the great thing about it is that I get to drive it all the time. He was embarrassed to be seen driving around in my old car!

Enjoying more Hitchcock films on TMC. Just watched Dial M for Murder. Rebecca is playing now.
We got some applesauce tonight, too. Two big jars that Mary Linda made from apples grown by her parents in Michigan.
Back from a ham and Swiss and no onion rings or french fries.

Continued vibes for Elmore
Even as she worked alongside Richard to build Kimmel Orchard, Laurine continued to perfect her painting and gained national recognition for her series of water color paintings titled, “American Architecture,” depicting old outhouses.

DR TCB salad dressing can be high in calories. I would go for fruit if a side comes with a sandwich, otherwise what is wrong with just a sandwich?
