Well, you've read the notes, the notes had seven veils, and now it is time for you to post until the dancing cows come home with musical accompaniment by MOOntovani.
-
And the word of the day is: GAINSAY!
-
Thanking those who posted birthday greetings who I wasn't able to reply to yesterday. Much appreciated.

Happy belated birthday to Doug R! Yesterday was such a busy tax day, with Oct 15th deadlines and all, sorry to have missed the day itself.
-
Morning all.
That is all.
-
Sorry, TCB, the picture will not show us eating. It will just show Kevin and I in front of Good Stuff. It's just us since we are the posters, no Ant or California friends. You can just concentrate on our beauty.
-
Good morning, all.
Looks like we're back to some gray days here.
Coffee!
-
Good morning to all
-
I've never danced with veils, but I do enjoy a nice veiled reference now and then.

I would kill for that stack of pancakes right about now.

Thank you for being Friday.
And the day begins.
Later.
Happiness for the weekend. ;)

Good morning, all! Last night was the first night since August 7 that I slept with no pain meds or sleep medications. I did sleep, but not particularly well, so I may not ret it again for another couple of days. I was quite restless, and I was awake for long periods about every 2-3 hours.
I have no plans for the day, absolutely none, about the same as every day since I got back from Dublin. I will listen to the set of DEAREST ENEMY and hear how the final product turned out, read my latest mystery, and give some thought to my Golden Apple notes for the Moross website.
Our E&T DR edisaurus is in town this weekend for her Doc Pomus documentary, and I'm hoping - since there is no way I can navigate getting to the East Village for a showing - that we can meet on the Upper West Side for a coffee/breakfast visit.
TOD
DVD: a couple of Netflix items, THE BIG BANG THEORY latest season

Good morning, all.
And weekend vibes for all.

Don' know if I'll have time to catch up on the posts. But I'll try.

I'm excited! The wonderful Jeanne Lehman has agreed to play the snobby mother of the bitchy fiancé in ROBERTA in February when we record the NY actors.

Friday morning greetings! Busy weekend ahead and a lot of prep to do today. It's Middfest, our annual international festival, and AAUW is hosting the sponsor lounge. Lots of our members are signed up to staff the lounge and contribute food and beverages, but I'm doing the coordinating. Next year (if there is one), I'll appoint someone else to chair this thing.
-
TOD - no media for me this weekend. If I'm lucky I'll be able to get away from Middfest long enough Saturday afternoon to watch Michigan's homecoming game against Minnesota.

I will if I do indeed see her! I'm hoping I do.

THE ROCKY HOROR SHO was a "re-imagined" version that was really kind of lame. The exception was a few of the performers. (I spelled it that way to discourage merry searchers).
RiffRaff, Magenta, Columbia, Eddie, and Dr Scott were outstanding, and the band was great!!! I kind of thought we were in trouble when "Science Fiction Double Feature" was sung by Phantoms coming out of graves instead of Magenta in an usher's outfit... I then I KNEW we were in trouble when one of said phantoms sang: "Janet Scott" and "try-fids....."
Choreography (or lack thereof) was my biggest disappointment. The set was great, but we had a LOT of missed light and sound cues...
Fun to see....but a lot of missed opportunities....and I might have switched the actors who played Frank and Brad....
-
That does sound like a somewhat disappointing show, DR JRand.
-
Thanks for the new season round-up, DR TCB. I have set my DVR for SEAN SAVES THE WORLD as a friend of mine will be a semi-regular on the show, beginning in a few weeks.
DR George, I thought the same about LUCKY 7, but some of the actors in it are so good, and the characters are so interesting. I hope that NBC at least lets the season play out.
-
In other television news, I think I am going to give up CHICAGO FIRE.
The most hunkiest actor hasn't taken his shirt off once this season and some of the performers are hamming it up way too much.

Hello from Manhattan!
My friends and I had a nice dinner with Ben and Ant. The food was great as was the company!
-
My friend Paul and I saw The Trip to Bountiful. Cicely Tyson was fantastic! I'm so glad I got to see her--I'm pretty sure it was the last chance to do so. And Vanessa Williams was great. We were disappointed that she didn't come out the stage door (we didn't expect Ms. Tyson to do so), but we did get Tom Wopat's autograph.
-
More craziness in DC. I'm glad I'm in New York!

Waving hello from 30,000 feet up. Yeah, trying that wifi in the sky thing on Southwest, flying home from Houston as type.
Hmmm, veil. I've been to Vail, and remember Vickie Vale from Batman.
TOD:
DVD: Star Trek: Into Darkness.
Online: The last 3 episodes of the current season of The Newsroom. ( I love European free sites that have links to the and current Downton Abbey)
So much for napping on the plane.
Have a happy Friday all!

Back from a nice lunch with an actor. We went to CPK, where I had the cedar plank salmon - about four hundred calories. Then I went to Stan's Donuts and got my beloved chocolate peanut butter contraption - about six hundred calories, so after jog I'll still be way under my 1200.

Back from my errands and the Middfest Friday chaos has begun. One of the things we (AAUW) are responsible for is distributing the gift bags to the donors who visit our lounge. As of this morning I had empty bags (not enough, of course) and nothing to put in them. When I was out I stopped at the office and got a box of souvenir magazines and a box of logo badges and stuffed as many bags as I had. Later this evening more bags will be delivered to me. Also, the souvenir coffee mugs won't be ready until tomorrow morning, so we'll probably be adding those as we distribute the bags.
And, there's a good possibility that we'll be moved from the location we've been planning for because another function needs our space due to the weather forecast.
On the bright side, AAUW members have been dropping off food and beverage donations all day!
-
Nice poster DR GINNY.....and nice poser DR MBARNUM.

Re: lottery stories:
I LOVED AT HOME WITH THE BRAITHWAITES. I thought it was done beautifully. I understand there's another British show on this subject, which I'd like to see.
-
I stopped at Trader Joe's on my way home today. This particular TJ's is small and is ALWAYS busy. Today even more so. An older couple were patiently waiting for a customer to load her groceries into her car so they could take the space. The woman in the car behind them, a new Mercedes SUV, began yelling and even started getting out of her car, presumably to yell even more. I truly am losing patience with people who cannot control themselves and feel they have the right to inflict their negativity--and noise--onto those around them. We were ALL waiting to either leave the parking lot or look for spaces. Her yelling did not help anyone. I would have loved to see a cop cite her.

We are back from the Middfest opening, which was held at the Pendleton Art Center during their regular First Friday festivities. Tomorrow and Sunday, Middfest moves to its new venue - the local Miami University campus.
Oh, and I did NOT receive more bags tonight. We'll just have to hope that only half of the donors show up tomorrow to claim their gifts.
The good news is that we're not being moved.

Just wanted to let you know, there was a mile wide tornado to the east of Sioux City and a 1/2 mile wide tornado to the west of Sioux City at the same time. We spent quite a while in the basement, but it didn't hit here and we are ok. Others near here weren't as lucky.

We are supposed to have a nice weekend, weather-wise, but the guy on the local news warned us that this would probably be the last one.
-
Personally, I think we will still have more nice days. Maybe not a whole weekend, but some nice weather days before winter arrives.
-
I had lunch today with one of my former co-workers. He is, at least, ten years younger than me, but he is starting to look older than me. Both he and his wife have a great many health problems. No anything fatal, but trouble with walking and with back problems. She takes more Vicodin in one day than I take in a week. And his doctor passed right over the Vicodin and put him on Oxy.
-
I have had a terrible time this week keeping track of what is the day of the we. I keep several calendars handy, but you know how it is when you know the actual day is, but it feels like a different day.
Yesterday was Monday all day, and I couldn'g t wrap my head around it being Thursday. So, of course, if yesterday was Monday; it stands to reason that today was Sunday.
