VIBES to BK for a most excellent show tonight!
Would those of you who have Kindles say that you can email and surf the web on it adequately? Or is it really only practical as an ereader?
And the word of the day is: EUPHONIOUS!
I just have to be the first to post on PAGE 2, LOL!
TOD:
From books: Clare Cosi (by Cleo Coyle), Molly Murphy (by Rhys Bowen), Maisie Dobbs (by Jacqueline Winspear)
From TV: Kate Beckett & Richard Castle, Jane Rizolli & Maura Isles
LOL, I just realized DR Ginny that we are on PAGE 2!!
ALIEN NATiON arrived in Indiana today.

I can't believe I forgot about "Castle." That's on tonight! My niece loves "Rizolli & Isles."
Many thanks Singdaw and George for comments on my 1000 posts plus.
I joined this forum in March, 2013, and am glad I did.
I've met lots of nice people and have learned a lot.
I especially enjoy the TOD, and BKS books.
It's a short week for me as I'm heading the Chicago on Thursday to visit my good friend, Angela. I've never been to Chicago, so I'm excited. While I'm there, I'm seeing said friend in a production of "The Mikado" and I might catch the National Tour of "Once" that is there this week. But I think I'm look forward to eating my way around the city.Love Chicago. I hope you'll have a great time. Wonderful food there. Please post a picture or two.
DR Jane, I love this photo! My dad used to fish for trout in the Deschutes River. I have his wicker creel and Rob uses his canvas bait bag as a satchel.
I do that so they don't run off. If a window blew out or the house was damaged they would be there with me and not running off in a panic
TOD: "MacMillan and Wife"
"Remington Steele"
"Longstreet"
And I am back from physical therapy, which ends on Wednesday, and I need a referral to extend it. I am very frustrated at the moment and very pissed.

Good morning! I love Mondays.
I guess I can't give GRAVITY a rave because it is just kind of a Roger Corman movie with a much LARGER budget. It does look great in very subtle 3D....with some very moving moments...and I do like Sandra and George....
The BEST thing about it is that it is only 91 minutes long.....it doesn't overstay its welcome. I just kept wondering why they would send someone's grandfather into space.....
two of Washington's touchdowns have been made by Bishop Sankey. In the grandstand is Sankey's grandfather who is watching is grandson play for the first time in over 5 years. The elder Mr Sankey was blind for the past five years, until he just recently had a highly successful cornea transplant. It is a very touching story.

I know. Why I was never smart enough to do this I have no idea. Maybe I was never scared enough, which I should have been a couple of times.
I still remember the cats hiding during our big Los Angeles earthquake and we couldn't get them. We realized there was no way we could protect them during a quake.

And I LOVE the new BBC Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch. I wasn't sure if I'd like the translation to modern times at first, but one episode and I was hooked. New season begins this month on the 31st. Yaay!
you there! :)

The Northridge Earthquake occured approximately four hours after I was told that my mom had been killed. I was sitting in the living room, with the heat blasting, trying to get warm. I had turned on the TV just so there would be some noise in my place, when the local anouncer said we are getting a bulletin coming through the wire that Loas Angeles has suffered a major earthquake.
No one took any photos during the Gala last Saturday, but here is proof that I was there. This is a picture of me with Dionysus' first wife, my friend Sharry O'Hare following the presentation!
I've been lucky to have some welcome company this afternoon. Our DR KevinH left here about 30 minutes ago. It was nice to see him, and I appreciate his making the effort to check on me.
In another note, I heard from my NYPL friend Bob that his comp copy of DEAREST ENEMY arrived today. I guess they have been shipped.

Went to a New Orleans-themed dinner last night and am enjoying leftover Doberge cake. Half lemon, the other half chocolate. All delish.
A local theater is doing Evil Dead the Musical. Love this poster:

I'm afraid both sides will only make you grow rounder.
There are competing Rocky Horror productions in town. One in rep with Evil Dead, the other in rep with Young Frankenstein.
The latter is starring three RuPaul show contestants. Rather surprising for San Antonio.

Very touching. I wonder if we are related. All through my childhood I was told I looked
like the Sankey branch of the family.

Ahhh, I don't think you are part of this Sankey family.
I also discovered why I have not yet received FJL's book 21st Century Oldies, Volume 1: Parody Lyrics from A to B
apparently I put it on my cart but never completed checkout.... duh!

Fortunately we had just returned home to Michigan after my father in-law passed away. Had we still been sleeping at his mother's house a TON of boxes would have fallen on top of us.
I was referring to the 1971 San Fernando aka Sylmar earthquake.
Well, I suppose that I should finally leave work. I've been here for far too long. I have some TV watching to do!
Until later!

Back from the show and then some dinner downstairs. Tonight's Kritzerland show went beautifully, with our full house being a fantastic audience to play to - we really do have the best audiences in town. But none of these shows would succeed without the amazing casts and musical directors, in this case Heather Barr, Will Collyer, Heather Lee, Amy Fox Linton, John Sloman and Shannon Warne, along with the incredible Terri White and our faboo musical director John Boswell, all of whom did perfect work. I'd certainly put last night's show in my top five of our 38 shows.
