...And yes, DR Ginny, that will be me waving as I pass over Ohio! :)
Speaking of zombies, I finally have watched SHAUN OF THE DEAD, thanks to a co-worker who loaned me her DVD. Very funny movie!
Hope you're feeling better, Mike.
Dorothy Loudon singing that song is one of my favorite performances ever. It could be her on the cast album, her on the Tonys or her on this clip and the CD. She's amazing.
And the word of the day is: TITTUP!
No time to chat, but saw this and had to share it.

Yes. I may have to get that before Halloween. Loved it.
I must flit, I must fly, I must pack...
Today I fly to Minneapolis, where I will see my DH and sing for a family wedding tomorrow night. Flying back on Monday. I shall be E&T from this here board, for the most part, for the next few days, but catch up I shall.
Feeling somewhat under the weather, so I hope for my seatmates' sake that I don't unexpectedly vomit on the ground, as I did last night.
And yes, DR Ginny, that will be me waving as I pass over Ohio! :)
I'm glad TCB asked about a recording. This show sounds like the most perfect thing. And I think the fact that it's Bricusse and Newley makes it the most uniquely perfect, perfect thing. Just...you know...perfect.
A youtube recommendation came up for the late, great, really missed Dorothy Loudon singing "Fifty Percent" from the musical Ballroom.
I cannot get the performance out of my head for the last couple of days.
This is truly an example how to put over a song full of emotion and telling the story. A master class unto itself. Broadway performers today can learn from her that "less is more".
I remember that Miss Loudon was supposed to do BK's Jeepers Creepers cd (which needs to be re-released) but she was very ill at the time and would pass away two months later.
Here is the link to the performance which was performed at Carnegie Hall. She received the longest applause that evening.

Have you also seen TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL? It is another excellently done horror film spoof. I never laughed so hard!
Last night I had a most loverly phone conversation about a possible gig next spring. It's very tempting and I'm pondering it seriously. We'll see.
BK, November 15 is just about 4 weeks away! This revue sounds great. Do you have an MD? Will there be a band? When do you cast? It sounds like the perfect show for Lanny! I'd love to do it but I can hardly stand up, much less come to LA at the moment

Vibes to all, especially for not unexpectedly vomiting on the ground.

Yes I am feeling better. Wednesday was horrible. Yesterday was better. Today is a day off
I love Dorothy Loudon, but I really hate "50%"! I like much of the BALLROOM score, but not that number.
If you liked SHAUN OF THE DEAD, Mikey, you might also like Simon Pegg's HOT FUZZ. It's a real hoot as well.
DR JANE I keep getting the notice that I need to have my files on iGoogle backed up before Nov. 1 - but I don't have anything ther.
I did finally find a NEW homepage that is a lot LIKE iGoogle - and you can set it up to look very similar. There are lots of gadgets you can add....so I have started using it.
www.ighome.com is the link where you can check it out.
So far, I have managed to avoid vomiting on the ground or anywhere else,
I am really liking this new igHome homepage.

I think you found a good one and if I lived closer I would give your person a try. Our experience with a chiropractor was not a positive one.
I don't know what this Igoogle and Igwhatever stuff is. I think I am behind the times, technically...or I am technically challenged...or something. :(

Getting ready for Brother Kevin to arrive Tomorrow.
I, my hubby and two brothers are going to see The Lucy Show tomorrow.
It should be great fun!
We have come upon a huge glitch in our India/US group's upcoming Diwali festival. At the meeting last night we discovered that, while we are having the event catered, we are not allowed to use an sort of heating devices to keep the food warm at the arena (a large school gym) we are having the shindig at!!
This is supposed to be a very fancy event that people are buying tickets for and the last thing we want is to serve people cold food.
And the worst part of all this is that I am the head of the food committee for the event!

OH NO!
Is it too late to find another place?
Hard to believe, but no packages again this day.
Good idea DR JohnG. I may just call a few catering places and see if that has ever happened to them.

The plumber I detest arrived the other day and installed a new toilet. (My life is soooo exciting!) He was actually relatively well-behaved this time. He showed up on time, didn't yell at me at all, and didn't even blame me for the plumbing problems. I wouldn't detest him if he behaved like this more often. I dread it every time he has to come out and don't call until I really have to. But it's done and I'm glad this is off my plate.

LOL. We recently played this for a 30 year old who didn't find it as funny as we do.

Would that include the food containers themselves if they are plugged in to an outlet (e.g. Crockpot)?

I used to go to the Lucy Show--the real one. My dad would often get tickets and a few of my friends and I would go. It had a live audience--that was us. I can't believe I never took BK. I think I must have asked him if he wanted to go.
Have a great time.

Sad. It is absolutely wonderful.
I also need to go over to my favorite Indian restaurant and give them one of the posters to put up...and then explain why we did not choose them to cater the event.
There are 3 Indian restaurants in town, so we have some 'splainin to do to two of them.

I learned Costello's part...of course. ;)That sounds like fun. Anyone record it?
Those are pretty evocative posters, Mike.
;)
Shuffling off to Buffalo in the morning. I guess I should think about packing.
Wow. I've got a few calls I'd like to recruit Vixmom to make for me.

Why don't they want you to use heating devices? Makes no sense. Do they want all the food to be cold when served?

Mike Barnum, it's too bad I am not in your neck of the woods because I am now in full scale "Take no prisoners" mode... I bet if I got your locale manager in front of me right now not only would you be allowed food heating ability, he would also be serving the dang food!!!
