Well, you've read the notes, the notes were compartmentalized, and now it is time for you to post until the compartmentalized cows come home.

We were down for I don't know how long, but I called the emergency hotline and since we're back up I assume they did whatever they needed to do.  I commend them for their amazing customer service but wish this would stop happening.

Using my netpad/tablet to brown the interwebs works, but it's pretty slow.  And in my bed, it's not easy to sit up and use it on the bed or in my lap.  I'll stick to my desktop computer.

And now, it's back to bed for some sleep.  Good night, all. 8)

Good morning, all!  I slept rather well, and I am out out of bed, bathed, dressed, and on my first cup of coffee. I need to call my eye doctor at 8:30 and reschedule. I was convinced that the appointment was on Thursday, but, no, I blew it.

I have physical therapy at 11, and when I get home, I will have my usual day of accomplishing and/or doing very little. I'm really bored.

This ridiculous HMO tells me that I need to call every couple of days and see if there's been a cancellation. I guess they work on the policy of "can't make an appointment, then suffer or die."

Man what a day so far.  I was up at nine, the helper came and got invoices and then I just shut out the world and continued with the commentary.  I got halfway through, then went and had a Cobb Salad and a small thing of onion rings.  Since it's a no mail day I picked up no mail.  Then I came home, had one telephonic conversation that will continue later and that I hope will finally finalize the cast the way I want it to be finalized because until that happens I'm still at sea in terms of assigning songs.  I think it will work out the way I need it to, so send some vibes and xylophones that it does.  Then I buckled down, Winsocki and finished the commentary.  I'm sure I'll finesse it at some point soon but at least it's done.

What's fascinating about it is that my original intention was to cut and paste what I could from the original commentary I wrote the first time we did a Sherman Brothers show back in 2011.  It was our fifth or sixth show and I could not believe how lame and unfunny the patter was, but I was still not comfortable with my role as patter speaker and host and was still feeling my way - I'd say about six shows later I finally had found my way and had it down pretty well.  So, I ended up using not one word from the previous patter.

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me...I got a wonderful phone call from BK's neighbor, Earl Holliman! We had a nice, long chat about all sorts of things. And then later in the evening, he called me again and we chatted some more.

I can tell you, Mr. Holliman is one of the nicest actors I have ever had the opportunity to chat with!

Knowing how much he loves animals, and all the years that he has worked to help the little critters, I was certain he would be nice!

In all of his 85 years he has never been without a dog as a pet. At one point he had 10 dogs (he had a bigger home then). He is now down to one 14 year old dog and one 19 year old cat.

Why are people on Facebook in the first place?  I mean, if you're putting your life out there, as I do on this here site every day, and which I've been doing since long before Facebook, then you're putting your life out there - SOCIAL media - your choice.  Don't want it out there, then don't be on Facebook.  Seems simple to me.

DR Jane have you ever listened to an audio book before?  I don't think I have and can't decide if i want to try one. It sounds sort of interesting. I didn't even know that thing that they are getting rid of existed.

But I disagree with BK.  Different people use facebook for different things. Not everybody updates every second of their life or wants everybody to know all of their business.  Also there are many wonderful pages on facebook that you can follow in your newsfeed  (for me book groups are the main thing).

I'm sorry to hear you had to change your Outside the Box shoot, BK, but it does sound like it would be one thing too many with such a busy schedule. And no doubt, if Debbie can't do this one, she'll do another.

The service was done in Spanish with English translation of the prayers and sermon  and was followed by a wonderful fiesta

There was a mariachi band and a DeeJay.  There were perfomances by some very talented  teens and children  in traditional dances

and there was a huge buffet.  The Latino Ministry has members from many different lands so there were traditional dishes from Mexico, Peru, and Equador  etc

There were over 200 people, about 40 of us English speakers but we all had a fine time

I was home by 9:30 and as my gums  were beginning to ache again I took advil and  fell  into an exhausted sleep  and slept straight through until 8:45 AM

But  halfway through lunch I started sneezing  and by time I took Talley home  my eyes were streaming and I was coughing and sneezing nonstop so I foolishly took two benadryl which effectively  took me out for the rest of the day and night

Okay I will try to post a picture the way DR Jane suggested.

This is the chalet. The lake is in front of the chalet. The park and green grass/picnic area are to the right and left of the chalet.

Perhaps it could be a trifle larger!

This morning I woke up after 8 AM  but fortunately the boss gave us a dress down day and told us  (for the first time since I  have worked for him ) that we could come in at 9:30  - and then we were let out at 2:30 - so that was nice

I'm sure our stores are all open.

We, as in State Workers, gave up Columbus Day for the day after Thanksgiving many years ago.

Did he invite you down for a visit?

Keith has his first audio book from the library downloaded on his new smartphone.  I was pleased the book I suggested he read was available & I didn't have to remove anymore books from my library hold list to make room for me.  I hope he likes the book.  I also showed him how to add books to the wish list.

Now let me get this straight, Jane.  You are teaching Keith computer things??

I don't know that these pictures do it justice. But it is very scenic.

Going to catch up on Dancing With The Stars.

Has anyone here been watching Hostages or the Black List?  I quite like both of these shows.

I know  THE BLACKLIST has gotten good reviews, but I just can't cope with James Spader.

That's great!  It is always good to hear someone you expect to be nice really is.

I'm impressed as I sit here still trying to make up my mind to get a dog/cat or not.  There was a time I never imagined being without at least one cat and dog.

Daily trips to the Humane Society might help you decide! I image there are a few animals there that would love to live at your house!

I left church after the second coffee hours and took my elderly parishioner to Panera for lunch

They have a new soup: https://www.panerabread.com/en-us/menu-categories/pasta-and-soups.html#vegetarian-autumn-squash-soup  (https://www.panerabread.com/en-us/menu-categories/pasta-and-soups.html#vegetarian-autumn-squash-soup)

I'll probably be the only one in the theater, also!  It's playing at both the big theaters in Olympia and Lacey, and they're playing at the same time.  If they were at different times or days, I would definitely have gotten tickets to both showings.

For this revue I'm trying to stick mostly to Newley and Bricusse together - I do have, at the moment, two songs each that they wrote by themselves, but I think that's about as much as I want to do in that regard.

oh no they have several types of soup - but this one is a new menu item and I suspect it is only arpound for a short time so I will have to visit often to get my fill

 - Talley had  a cup of the chicken with wild rice soup (which I also love) and a bowl of the new rigatoni dish with spicy sausage and peas which she said was delicous
